Lovely food, drinks and friendly staff. I come here wayyy to often hahaha but can't help it. Better than any Costa, Starbucks etc. Especially because they have amazing decaff options like tumeric, beetroot and matcha latte with alternative milk options. Highly recommend ☀️

This is one of my favourite cafes. Rachel, the manager there is very friendly and remembers all her regulars and seems popular with the staff too. I treat chain shops individually but this branch is great. I always found the coffee at Coffee#1 to be better than other chains too.

Fantastic customer service and coffee. Really appreciate the manager checking the allergens so my daughter with soy, nut and dairy allergy could have her first hot chocolate ever. She went above and beyond and checked both the booklet and the actual product packet. Checked that 'may contains' were okay for my daughter. My daughter loved her hot chocolate. We had visited a big chain coffee shop accross the road a week previously who were unfriendly - I'm so pleased as it led us to coffee no 1 and its has now become our firm favourite. Everyone is friendly and its clean and covid safe with open fronted windows for airflow. Thank you!

This is a lovely, airy coffe shop that has a lovely feel to it, when you walk in. The drinks are delicious, the cakes are not for the faint hearted, they are scrumptious as well as stunning to look at. The staff are welcoming, hard working a friendly. It a pleasure to visit each time. X

Great range of drinks, cakes, biscuits, sandwiches, snacks and breakfast items. Really friendly service in spite of it being quite busy. Good social distancing measures in place. Everything is reasonably priced. Recommend the Dark Chocolate filter coffee.

Always busy but always a seat free, this place is excellent and has become my standard meeting spot in Shirley. The café seems to be the perfect size for the volume of business. It's always busy enough to have a bit of a buzz but there's always a place to sit. It has a pretty random selection of table and chair styles so you can choose to sit formally or to lounge on a sofa if you prefer. The drinks (coffees, teas; the usual suspects) are all excellent. I can't comment on the cakes, etc. as I don't eat them but they seem to sell plenty so I can only assume they are worth a go. Service is fast, helpful and friendly. Well worth popping in.

I really enjoy a visit to Coffee#1 Staff are friendly, place nice and clean. It’s the only coffee shop I know that serves Beetroot Latte 👍 Good selection of drink and food.

There was a que when I got there at 9:30am and I thought “this should be good” well they did not disappoint!!!! The barista was happy and welcoming and not only knew what a dirty chia was - loved them!!!!! Their coffee menu caters to al tastes and I discovered (albeit to late) they have alternative milks to!!! The good quality ones too!!!! On top of that I order a steamed apple and cinnamon juice which is also fantastic!!!! I will be back!!

I regularly visit Costa and Nero but this place has the best tasting Americano out of all of them. It is a big place so there is usually room to sit and the ambience is perfect for getting some work done. Def my favourite coffee place.

Lovely coffee and cakes. The only thing that lets it down is the service at times. There is one fantastic lady, pleasant, bubbly, welcoming, (the slightly older of the women behind the counter, with a ponytail,) who usually is at the till rather than making the drinks, but most of the others barely grunt at you and not impressed byby experience earlier this week of the spoons being launched at the tray from 2ft away. This one fantastic member of staff and the great coffee draws me back, but a shame not all staff focus on customer service!

Coffee #1 is a friendly coffee shop offering a range of hot and cold beverages to suit different tastes and needs. They also serve delicious, fresh food including sandwiches and cakes and are known for their giant teacakes. A variety of different sized tables means they can accommodate individuals as well as larger groups and is an ideal place to meet up with friends. Staff are always friendly and will help in any way they can.

Upmarket coffee shop with lovely freshly squeezed juices, vegan teas/lattes and other alternatives. In summer they open the large windows at the front turning it into a European style open cafe. Interior decor is very homely and stylish.

Coffee is amazing here like in any coffee #1 undoubtedly. Love their seasonal beans! This one's location is good, interiors' cosy, warm with welcoming colours however staff efficiency is poor. I've been one of their regulars for the past couple of months however never for once did they bother to mention about their loyalty card, which, by then could've earned me at least two free drinks. It so happened, one of the customers in front of me in the queue one day gave her their loyalty card and I saw it. It's not that different staff served me everyday. I used to go their everyday and get served by the same bunch of staff. So, now I have stopped going to this particular one cos I was disappointed. I normally did chat up with them every time I came to get my usual coffee. So it was a sad incident that's left me with a bad taste and hence the score. They seldom clear up the tables fast or quick. I once sat down with my laptop there and noticed some tables were left with crumbs and plates and cups forever until a new occupant had no seat and had to get to the table and ask one of the staff to come and clear. Also, I find their summer concoctions a joke. Sometimes they're either too ice blended and sometimes they're too bland. Their iced peach tea has no taste at all. Feels like I'm drinking water. Their cookies become so old that they feel soggy and rotten
