Stopped by for 2 breakfast roles to take away. Two young girls behind the counter didn't seem interested in taking our orders and when one finally did, she did so with a mouth full of chips.
We ordered and paid, then waited for 25 minutes, watching customers come and go. I then overheard one tell the other she forgot to tell the kitchen about our order. 25 minutes in. I questioned this and she then told me that "its just coming out now". Another 10 minutes later and our rolls arrived. 35 minutes!!
No apology, no explanation and just sheer ignorance.
Both girls were more interested in playing on their phones and eating the bakery stock.
It's a shame as normally we have a good experience and the team are very likeable, but the team today (in total, 4 teenagers) left a lot to be desired and ruined my breakfast!
Food-wise you can never go wrong here. Everything is proper, hearty comfort food at good prices and cooked well, but keep in mind you may have to wait a while and be ignored if these kids are working!
