Reviews of Itchen Valley Country Park
J. B.
This is a simple but excellent pleasure. Woodland walks, lots of fun apparatus for children to explore, a lovely café with amazingly priced food and more.
We only explored a little section of this haven just out of Southampton but are sure the rest will be just as good when we return.
It's free entry and you just pay for parking.
S. R.
Lovely place, great for a quick dog walk, picnic, coffee. The weekly park run has churned up the ground pretty badly during the winter in a few places but lovely apart from that.
T. W.
Lovely place to chill out and walk in the woods. Plenty of parking, you do have to pay. There is a little café and gift shop.
Suitable for all age groups.
B. M.
Great place for kids to enjoy.
Good coffee shop and pastries.
You can come with dogs and bikes as the trails are quite good and full of activities.
K.
The woodland walk from the far end car park to the cafe is perfect with toddlers. The play park outside the cafe is also perfect for toddlers. Great toilet facilities and you can get a babycino in the cafe if you ask (it's not on the menu for some reason). The adventure playground at the far end is a bit sad and needs some TLC. Some equipment broken and the area floods. The large field at the end also floods and gets very muddy. It's not massive for a country park but we still enjoy our visits.
A. S.
Ran a parkrun. Great course, quite a level course. Not too many hills. Will be back. The Woodland cafe was good too.
N. A.
My first visit and was very impressed. Unfortunately I didn't have time to stay too long but I thoroughly recommend it for walkers, dog walking, families.
The food in the cafe looked delicious too.
J.
Great place for a walk and the kids to explore. Dog friendly. Big play and seating area which is well spaced out to be COVID19 safe. After or before your walk, grab a bite to eat from the cafe. Currently there is a good one way system to order and collect your food. We got the vegan sausage roll and couldn’t tell the difference, it was a brilliant alternative. What brand are they?! The cafe staff were very friendly and accommodating. Toilets open daily and we’re very clean. I love all the sustainable eco friendly things the park are doing, keep it up! Also... watch out for the cows, we got chased by them! Haha!
S. M.
Fantastic place to get some fresh air . Lots of places to walk around with plenty of things for children to do, inc play area, trails and Go Ape for the adventurous. Parking charges apply and are the only downside, as you have to decide beforehand how long you might stay.
B. A.
Good parks and play activities, shame about the lack of rubbish bins, lack of overflow parking and the dog poo problem (don't let toddlers run around unsupervised in the fields). Otherwise, a decent day out.
R. W.
Really enjoyed it here however there's a few reasons it's lost a star - Firstly, we were doing the Easter trail and although there's a map on the back it wasn't actually clear which direction we needed to go in - we got to the first board but there was no indication whether to go left or right at that fork and the map said we could go either way however we absolutely had to go left. The next issue was that all the boards had been vandalised by children who's parents are either too dim or don't care enough to teach their children about respect. It was only pencil so I would assume the boards could be cleaned easily so don't understand why they were left that way? In my opinion that shows the trail isn't being cared for, it clearly had been that way for a little while. And lastly, at the end of the trail I needed to put something in the bin but the closest bin was a poo bin which was so full that multiple people had dumped their poo bags on top of the bin to get steamy in the sun. I understand Easter weekend is busy but all the more reason to ensure the bins are emptied regularly, it really wasn't pleasant to walk past.
On a positive note the kids throughly enjoyed both play parks and us adults enjoyed being a little closer to nature.
L. C.
Went with my granchildren and 2 dogs. Wonderful woodland walks a bit muddy on grassed areas. Children loved the play equipment. Beautiful day out.
G. B.
Such a great place. The outdoor playgrounds are great, my little one loves the mid kitchen. Huge portions in the cafe and the food is tasty
A. P.
This is a great park if you have children. Particularly if they need a bit of “encouragement” with walking, as the trails have plenty of play areas and things to spot along the way. The cafe is operating a takeaway and is well stocked with food and drink. Great fun for a day out!
D. S.
Great walk and well laid out trails. Has plenty of facilities. Parking prices quite high and a lot of trails has unnecessary rules of having dogs on lead.
C. M.
A good spot for walking with play parks and the standard facilities plus GoApe. However for running it’s tricky to get a 5k circuit down without running back on yourself or covering the same ground numerous times.
A. M.
Lovely country park in Eastleigh with lots for all ages to do. Plenty of parking, which you can do on the Ringo app. Nice for summer days out
M. H. (.
Really good day out, kids usually hate walking but with the added ghost trail it became more fun! Wish they done this kind of thing all year round!
We have a double buggy and the paths are ok to push that along, some improvements being made so a few of the sculptures and play areas were closed off, but we will be coming back to check them out!
J. C.
Lovely day out with the kids. Plenty opportunity to let them run around, play and enjoy the nature. Great facilities! Definitely will be back!
O. T.
We did the go ape adventure challenge here. Finished an got our certificates ofcourse aha. But super fun really enjoyed it, if you are scared of heights, DO IT cus its a great way to conquer that fear whilst your safely strapped in all the time. Clear instructions given at the start with a few practice obstacles. Then off you go and its awesome. Loads of zip lines and a tarzan net that requires u to jump from quite a height into a net. (Took me a few minutes to jump)
M. P.
Had great fun axe throwing. Decent parking and well organised. Really friendly staff that added to the experience.
A. T.
Had a great time wandering around. It was a rainy day, and the meadow path was quite boggy, but we really enjoyed getting our boots muddy. Climbed a tree or two. The more child friendly areas had paths that weren't as muddy. Good coffee from the cafe.
T. “.
Only Hampshire council could boast that a place that is basically a wood, bought wood from 50 miles away to lower it's carbon footprint.
Also, I don't think you could buy non LED bulbs if you tried for the last 5 years or so.
Joking aside, it's a nice place. Lots to see and do, and it has varied facilities with good toilets that are clean.
Bizarrely, for self proclaimed energy saving place, it has the hottest water of any sinks in any restrooms I have ever visited. Bordering on dangerously hot.. funny really
J. T.
Beautiful walks/play areas and sitting areas.
Brilliant for kids and adults
M. H.
Great park to walk the dog, lots of fields and walkways to explore and let the dogs run. Easy parking although it’s paid. Lots of play parks for kids, a good Go-Ape course through the woods and nice cafe to grab hot drinks.
K. C.
Itchen valley - dog walking review.
Drive down to the main car park and turn right. The main dog walking fields are beyond to the east.
Large and open, these are excellent for all concerned. There’s no where for your woofs to get lost as it’s all fenced in. They don’t mow the centre so it gets a bit wild during the summer. It’s a perfect breeding ground for ticks, so do check your dogs during the warmer months… and yourself. During the summer there’s a photographer who takes a lot of parents-and-baby photos amongst the long grass here during golden hour in the evenings.. I do wonder how many have gone home with these little insects latching on..
During winter tho it’s an ideal place when the suns out to get some vitamin D. One word of warning is that it gets super muddy. Like mad muddy. It’s really slippery under foot and is wellies only. The squelchy clay subsoil is impossible to escape in Hampshire and it’s in full effect here. Expect to hose off your dogs and yourself when you get home, and probably your car too, if you’ve driven here.
Still , a great location. Use Ringo to pay for parking. It’s open from 6:30 thru to dusk and maybe even earlier during BST (05:30?) gettting here early-doors Ona summers day, before it gets silly-hot, no one about.. what a joy.
V. C.
Lovely area with super cafe and lots of play areas to keep kids moving along and entertained aswell as pine cones, acorns, tree stumps etc. Fab Halloween walk.
A. B.
Not the best place to go if you have a dog. Lots of areas where they have to remain on the lead, which I understand but it took a while before we found somewhere where she could have a good run. Looks good for kids though....shame we don't have any anymore!
J. F.
I have fished here twice using course tactics and there is plenty of sport to be had.
The fishery owner is very pleasant and helpful.
We booked 15 rods and from experience I would go to the second carpark and walk up stream.
Take some maggots and locate a swim with fish you can see if possible. Then feed regularly.
I was fishing 3lb bottoms to a 18 hook.
Lots of trout and Grayling plus the odd Chub on the latest visit.
All the fish are in top nick.
J. T. (.
The car park stomps are broken and resulting in scratches in my car from as they were so low it wasn't visible. Otherwise the go ape experience was good but too easy for my 8years old
S. M. (.
Plenty of parking (parking app or machine), great play areas for the kids, areas to walk the dog, cafe and GoApe
S. N.
Beautiful place to go for walk and lovely cafe with friendly polite and helpful staff.
R. F.
Good fun. Fairly challenging to start with but you soon get the hang of it. The traverses were a bit samey by the end but the zip wires were all enjoyable.
M. G.
Really great for family day out and especially kids of all age will enjoy it.
T. H.
It's one of our favorite parks. As it's has many attractions for children and adults. Lovely walk around park and play grounds are great for kids to loose their energy. Easter hunt at the park
M. A.
Beautiful country park, great play area and Go ape too!
M. D.
Lovely place to visit with a nice easy trail to follow. This leads onto a very short play trail but is still fun, more so for the younger kids.
Plenty of play areas including two larger parks however both could do with a refresh as the equipment is looking tired and old, more so with the larger park by the field.
C. D.
A great place to take your active toddler. We went to the cafe, saw the cows in the field and walked around the play trail playing on all the wooden playground equipment.
D. W.
Not very dog friendly with expensive car parking. Same rates as the Swan Centre.
Good for kids, especially small ones. Lots of effort been spent on the Halloween displays, good fun.
The Woodland walks are OK, but dogs on leads is compulsory everywhere, with lots of signs to remind you.
L. K. H.
Cafe is open for take away food from a limited menu. The Park has invested in extra seating outdoors, plenty of picnic benches, even some with covers. Went with a simple ham and cheese pannis, simple, hot and tasty. The main attraction though is the park. I admit Mt children are little and we have only explored a few tiny part of what it offers but they certainly enjoyed the play trails with all the equipment, many hours of fun only a shortage walk from the car park. If you wanted to explore there is plenty of trails around.
A. T.
Lovely walks, cafe easy parking. Great rural oasis.
K. W.
I've been bringing my little one here since she was able to walk. There's 2 different play parks, one aimed at smaller children near the main cafe and one aimed at slightly larger ones near to the go ape. a small play trail through the woods is conveniently placed around the car parking areas. This was great when her little legs could only last out for so long, it meant we could get out, spend a bit of time on the play trail and finish in the little park whilst I got myself a nice coffee. There is also a massive open space which is perfect for family picnics and gatherings. Of course there are also walks through the woods that you can follow, although perhaps not recommended if you are taking a pushchair with you, especially in the wetter months as the paths are quite natural. You should be able to take a pushchair around the play trail though if it's needed. This is a great afternoon out for the little ones and has a few things on offer for the older ones too. My daughter is now 4 and about to start school and I am going to miss our afternoons at Itchen Valley but as we live close by I'm not ruling out little after school visits to use up a bit of energy! Before covid we also used to attend the forest school mornings, these are great and have activities such as bug collecting, making things out of stuff they find in the woods and also there's usually a camp fire which they all love! I would definately recommend these for anyone wanting to do something a little different with their preschooler. They also run different educational activities through the year and they are not overly expensive so we'll worth checking these out. Parking is not cheap but not overly expensive either, as regular visitors we have a season pass which has worked out well and saved us quite a bit. Also means that on a tight budget, all I need to do is pack a sandwich or some snacks and we don't need to worry about any expense (except once a year when the renewal comes along). All in all a great place to visit. I would thoroughly recommend it especially to those with younger children who need to burn up some energy!
H. O.
Went there for lunch with my Dog, Daisy. The lady who served me in the cafe was so nice to me & Daisy. Then we had a walk, there are a couple of fields not that big tho. Dogs have to be on a lead all the time in the woods! Also the parking is quite expensive! Unfortunately due to all this I probably wont go again any time soon. A pity because it is a nice place and I live near.
N. W.
Great place to walk and exercise dogs and children. The cafe is running a temporary restricted menu which does not have jacket potatoes or cheese scones but the food is excellent and there are a lot of picnic tables scattered around so no shortage of seating. Will return to explore more.
E. B.
Great fun for kids, hours of entertainment. Particularly good for little ones as every thing is quite close together so not too far to walk. The play trail is great and well maintained, we really liked the new mud kitchen area.
B. L.
A wonderful BBQ was had with great facilities and a reasonable gate closing time.
D. S.
Great day out, definetly worth the money to do the Treetop Challenge too. Would highly recommend.
L. S.
Lovely Park for all ages and was nice to have an area where dogs could be off lead. The wildflower meadows were full of flowers and different grasses. Cafeteria was take away only due to restrictions but a good selection of food available.
J. D.
Great place to take kids of any age, superb play park, with picnic tables inside the park & scattered across the lathe open space. There are toilets & a cafe, plus another play park and numerous walking routes through the woods. Go Ape is also here for the inner monkey on you...
N. S.
Itchen Valley has dried out nicely now & a beautiful place to visit with Children & dogs. Lots of places to run & explore.
S. C.
Went to go ape which was great. Went around the play trail while we were waiting which was ok but probably only suitable for small children. Remember change for the car park as it is pay and display.
k. t.
Have always enjoyed this walk. Right from itchen valley to bittern to see the swans.
We were luckly to sight kingfishers and also a deer.
A. D.
Brilliant, both GoApes are excellent, the cafe not expensive serving nice hot and cold lunches, such as paninis and sandwiches. Toilet facilities clean and well maintained. Both children's play areas are good and the walks well maintained.
B. C.
A beautiful place to visit. The park has lots of walking routes to choose from and is dog-friendly pretty much throughout. You can pick up other walking routes from/through the park as well. Looks great for families, too, as it has a small picnic / cafe area and lots of playground / climbing frames throughout the park. A really beautiful location and only 2 miles from the centre of Eastleigh.
I.
There's a wide variety of things to keep little people amused for hours on end. My granddaughter thoroughly enjoyed seeing the cows wondering in the fields.
S. M.
Nice walks, cafe with good hot and cold food ice cream etc. Go Ape onsite. Older children's play area could do with an overhaul/upgrade.
D.
Lovely place for a nice stroll, bike ride, games and the odd picnic.
Go Ape looks great fun for kids and adults alike.
Tea room is well worth a visit, good social distancing policy is in place, with Wheelchair access also
G. E.
Lovely place to go with the kids and a great place to walk the dog
I. K.
It is a fairly clean park without much litter. If you are near/under the go-ape path there are little playground activities with nice wooden carved equipment to entertain younger children.
However a group of people left the open space and with it they left their almost full plastic bottles and drink cans when the bin was 5m away.
The grass could do with some water as it was dry. So we pour the water out and binned the empty bottles.
Perhaps the people forgot there's no waiting staff in the park.
I can't wait to live the day and visit a park where there will be no litter to be seen and none to pick up.
If you don't know what to do with all the wrappers from all the sweeties, eat them at home and come outside without them.
R. S.
Great walks and ay areas. Fab cafe which is always a plus!
d. d.
Well worth going so much to do great for familys
D. W.
Awesome experience...kids marked it 10/10.
Treetop challenge at Southampton was the location and the day was great. Around 4hrs spent climbing and "zipping" on the wire.
Highly recommend to.get the kids away from their phones and tablets...mine never mentioned their electronics once..remarkable!!
R. M.
Amazing outdoor space with plenty to do with the small people
B. A.
Great place to walk and see the River Itchen. Dog loves walking around the woods. Nice fish finger sandwiches.
R. A.
AmazinG place for kids, no doubts! Unfortunately I didn't find it interesting. I walked some of the trails (purple one doesn't seems to be much taken care off) and that's it.
Big plus is they still serve food, snacks and coffee. However one can have picnic somewhere with cheaper parking (£1.50 p/h)
S. W.
Nice woodland area. Plenty of walking and cycling routes. Climbing activities dotted around for children. A GoApe circuit. Didn't use cafe so no comment. Place clean and looks well cared for. Can be muddy/swampy in places but that's due to the weather. Plenty of parking. Would definitely go again. You have to pay for parking and signs not very obvious. Toilets available but do have a closing time.
R. H.
Really great for a low key day out. Fab play parks for the kids, cafe for when you get peckish. Toilets lovely and clean. They even have a dog washing station!
M. W.
Pleasant park with cafe, go ape, two playgrounds (one good for primary age who like to climb) and a moderate stroll with views of the surrounding area.
E. J.
Lovely place for a walk or a play. We've a 6 month car park pass, which means we can come down anytime and not clock watch, its especially nice to pop down after school for an hour or so.
L. H.
Excellent food snacks. Luckily soon updating their coffee machine! Good customer service. Good covid system for queuing. Unfortunately waiting for small playground to be renewed (hopefully not over the summer!) Large play areas surfacing needs upgrading. Great nature walks around grounds and in the woods. Expensive parking.
O. K.
It's so great. So many different trails. The cafe. The picnic areas, the go ape! Loads of other smaller climbing and puzzles, music activities. Stuff obviously isn't open at the moment but it's still a gorgeous place for an afternoon.
L. F.
Excellent course thank you Sam and the staff for keeping us safe.
B. C.
Great place to take the family. Nice woodland walks and space for the dog to run about. The cafe is reasonable value and has hot food and drinks.
A. W.
Lovely place with many interesting things and different play areas for kids. You need enough time, so make a picnic day of it, or support their cafe, whose food is delicious. Stunning place!
E. M.
The parking is expensive but it worth if you love the nature
a. t.
Go Ape is fantastic, could be a little longer time or cheaper as it is quite expensive but the area is fantastic and my daughter loved it. She's 6 and needed me the first 10mins to get over nerves, but after that she loved doing it alone
R. M. W.
Love to come to Itchen Valley always decent amount of parking and lots of different areas for kids to explore. Have now bought a parking pass so can visit without worrying about the cost of parking.
A. B.
Lovely to have this amount of countryside and open space so close to the city.
L. W.
Wonderful park for a Saturday walk with family and friends
D. H.
Nice place for a walk in the almost countryside. The parking price is reasonable, and the cafe has good food.
Toilets are better than average for a country park.
E. S.
First time we had been there. Enjoyed the walk and talk event very much. We then went down to the water meadows which were nice but the signage of the trails down there was poor - hence 4 not 5 stars.
J. I.
Nice place for a walk, shame about the people that don't clean up after their dogs! I did notice a dog cleaning station, maybe a shoe cleaning station could be put in for the unfortunate people that have stood in doggy do do
S. S.
Lovely country park but bit mean car park charges apply 365 days a year so loses a star.
B. S.
We love it here, loads for the kids to do and see and space to run, cafe restricted to take-away only due to covid but this worked well, loads of seating outside cafe. Might be worth downloading and printing a map before a visit so the kids can tick off the play areas and mark down the trees, plants and wildlife that they see.
J. M.
First time we've been - the play area outside is fantastic, and even though it was cold everyone had a great time. Lots of picnic benches available overlooking the playground too. The Cafe seemed really clean & a lovely space. I wouldn't recommend the filter coffee from the ice cream window - I'm guessing the coffee inside will be a lot better. Friends who had it yesterday had no complaints. Staff were really friendly. Great facilities, we hope to be back lots!
J. L.
Enjoyed a walk along the paths through the countryside and then a cup of coffee. Granddaughter had fun in playground. Great place for children.
E. M.
Really enjoyed the pirate trail with my friend and her daughters. Lots to keep them entertained and at only £3 for the pack and parking to pay for, a very reasonably priced day out too.
B.
Gets busy at weekends but a great little walk for the kiddies with a play trail and two large play areas aswell as a cafe and toilets. Plenty of picnic benches and open space for families to meet up and gather. Also Go Ape always seems popular!
C. M.
Did some tomahawking with friends and found it really fun!!
J. H.
Great place to take the kids only have to pay for parking. Reasonably priced cafe with good selection of snacks. 2 great play areas. We did a trail but couldn't find most of the clues which was disappointing as we back tracked and still couldn't find them but lovely place to take kids if its not raining 😀
A. N.
Love taking our little spaniel on walkies here!
A. M. P. a. P.
Good parking, need to pay, loads of space for little ones to run around. There is a trail with climbing frames in the shapes of animals and insects! T Mack loved it! And, there's a Go Ape here!!!
C. D.
Great open space, beautiful woodland walks and open fields. Children's play area, woodland children's trail, cafe, toilets, and outdoor picnic tables. Go Ape climbing.
T.
Great walks and play areas for children with toilets and cafe. Go Ape is also locate dhere so a great day out.
S. M.
Lovely place. We will need to explore more.
M.
We came here for a day out with my step-daughter, and thought it was brilliant. There are plenty of child-friendly walking trails, including a play trail with interactive sculptures along the way. There are two play areas as well. We did a fairy trail (a summer holiday special) and it kept us all occupied for an hour or so.
The cafe is well-priced, and looks as though it has a fairly varied menu. There is also a tap outside the cafe for those who just wish to refill a water bottle.
It does cost to park, but this is again reasonable. We paid £4.50 and we're covered for the whole day.
All in all, a lovely day out.
C. H.
Itchen Valley was good fun for all the family. Lots of walks, play trails, public toilet and a cafe serving hot food and drink.
M. W.
Lovely park, plenty of Picnic area,s, cycle trails, walks in the wood, we did Going Ape, Brilliant,😍
N. R.
Had a lovely day. Large flat grass field easy to social distance. Amenities open till 4.30 and a good shop selling all types of food and drinks (including alcohol) don't forget your contactless payment. Cost of parking is reasonable too.
E.
We visit here quite often but normally theres rubbish dotted around everywhere and lots of dog poop just waiting to be stood on! Today was a completely different story! It was stunningly beautiful in the sunshine with no rubbish in sight! The only poo seen was the cow pats lefts by the cows who live within the park! Trees and walkways were well maintained too! Cannot recommend enough!
M. C.
Great place for children to run and play. There is a walk to do. Also a park to play at and benches and a shop.
Go Ape also is a fun activity to do if you have the money and don't mind heights.
A. M.
Good place for a walk, but can get quite boggy as there are no proper paths once you get out of the woodlands. Good little cafe and toilet facilities, reasonably large children's play area, nice short walk through the wooded area and Go Ape is based here too. The kids also seem to enjoy seeing the planes land side on in the distance.
J. R.
The main cafe seems to be closed and a smaller one has temporarily opened up nearer to the loos. There were limited options for food, mostly sandwiches, paninis and cakes. On a hot day like today the warning sign by the slide was helpful to remind parents that the slide may be too hot to use. But for older kids that are less monitored it might have been better if the slide was just closed off in some way. The park is just lovely though. Lots of parking, play areas under the trees, benches in various places and a few green spaces to put your picnic mat.
G. H. (.
Great for kids - lots to do. Lots of woodland walks, and a big recreation field. Also a good cafe serving hot food and drinks as well as ice creams
Y. P.
Beautiful place. Lots of open spaces for walks. Activities including an ape trail
E. J.
Love this place so good for children, adults and dogs. They now have a dog bath which is very good price and such a good idea, you can bathe your fur baby before you leave, no messy car and saves you a job when you get home. Shame they don't have one for the children ha ha.
C. W.
Visited with my son in law and Granddaughter Lily, the Go Ape! course was a big hit with Lily and dad revisiting again during the holidays, brilliant stuff. 😀
M. V.
We really like coming for a walk in the woods here. Its an excellent space for kids to run round with a variety of activities scattered throughout the trails to keep them happy.
The new cafe is also a really nice space. Friendly staff and a decent variety of standard cafe food.
P. B. (.
A nice place to go, especially on a sunny/warm day. A nice walk around the forest/fields, getting some fresh air. 😊 Worth a visit. Parking costs moderately reasonable - old system through of enter vehicle reg rather than anpr - at least it takes card/contact less payment.
J. H.
The short play trail is great for preschool children, and the playgrounds are nice. One for preschool ages and a second for slightly older children. There has been some recent additions to the play trail in the last few months which is nice. The cafe has been refurbished and now has a lovely indoor play area which is great if you are waiting for food. Unfortunately few tables are in sight of thks play area and some parents feel they can let their children play unsupervised. As expected, these are the particular feral children, like the one who spat in my sons face because my son was playing on the thing he wanted to go on. But not the fault of the country park, just be aware that these are the type of visitors it may attract! Food in cafe reasonable but not very inspired. Toilets clean. Parking is £2.50 for 2 hours. Parking is good as you can either pay and display or pay on exit so if you end up staying shorter or longer than expected then you haven't wasted parking or needed to put another ticket on.
L. H.
Lovely place with lots of small and large park areas for children of all ages and lovely woodland trails. Really nice spot with plenty of parking.
I. M.
Lovely Country park with a nature reserve just outside Southampton. Plenty of Parking available.
Itchen Valley has a "Go Ape" activity centre which includes several zip lines!
And plenty of space to walk in as well.
From here yoy can join the Itchen Navagation which can take you to either Winchester or Southampton City centre, depending on direction of travel
J. A.
We did go ape here it’s lovely
N. B.
Great outdoor space plenty of parking (but you have to pay), little cafe and seating area. Play area for the kids and good picnic and dog walking area
E. J.
Lovely place for a walk or a play. We've a 6 month car park pass, which means we can come down anytime and not clock watch, its especially nice to pop down after school for an hour or so.
l.
Was fine for an evening dog walk, parking £1.50 a hour
B. B.
Love taking my kids here , so much to do
p. p.
Needs more okay for a short period only
e. d.
beautiful place with lots of walks and a patk for the kids.
only reason I gave this 4 stars and not 5 was because the cafe had a lot of things unavailable and was quite expensive.
O. K.
It's so great. So many different trails. The cafe. The picnic areas, the go ape! Loads of other smaller climbing and puzzles, music activities. Stuff obviously isn't open at the moment but it's still a gorgeous place for an afternoon.
A. F. B. &. S. G.
We really love spending time at Itchen Valley! Great play parks, woodland paths and café!
S. M.
Nice walks, cafe with good hot and cold food ice cream etc. Go Ape onsite. Older children's play area could do with an overhaul/upgrade.
A. S.
Very reasonably priced parking and a good place for kids to run and play.
E. M.
Really enjoyed the pirate trail with my friend and her daughters. Lots to keep them entertained and at only £3 for the pack and parking to pay for, a very reasonably priced day out too.
K. M. R.
A nice few hours in the fresh air. Plenty of picnic benches. Some trails suitable for wheelchairs and prams. Has a play trail for younger kids and the dog likes it too.
H. M.
They've got fantastic play trails, additional trails the kids love doing in the holidays. Two playgrounds and a new indoor play area for young children full of wooden animals and beautiful scenery. Great educational experience
P. O. O.
Great outdoor activities for the grand kids and plenty of pinic tables for a spot of lunch...lovely day out. Car parking is good at resonable charges per hour. :-)
M. D.
If you need to get out , and have some open space then Itchen Valley Park is a lovely place to go. The seating where the cafe is made it very easy to keep social distancing with lovely views. Take a picnic remembering the cafe is closed.
R. R.
Very good facility, plenty of open space and lovely forest walks with the added Go Ape tree top provision for those fut enough to participate.
C. C.
Lovely place to walk but too many offlead dogs in areas where they are meant to be on lead. Not good if you have a child, or a dog that doesn't like dogs. Would have got 5 stars if the rules were enforced more.
T. P.
Lots to do for all ages, plenty of space for picnicing or eating outside the cafe. The trails aren't always easy to find where they start and there weren't any maps but we found our way around eventually. Good day out.
L. B.
Lovely green wooded area containing go ape attraction, plenty of walking trails that makes a fun day for a family and there children.
S. M.
I Loved it there. And the children loved the Go Ape.
I. W.
Plenty of well kept open space. Kids play area near the barn is great. Play trail has new climbing structures as well now. Big play area at the top too. Parking is reasonable. It will be better when the barn is finished.
l. d.
Went to Itchen Valley to the Go Ape Junior for a birthday party, kids had a great time. Staff were brilliant, polite and friendly with the adults and kids alike. Could do with some toilets closer to that end of the park, but otherwise it's a great place for a family day out.
L. W.
Great walk we have a little one and they just loved all the puddles and obstacles you can go through. Really intuitive the way they have designed the play walks.
L. J.
Excellent.. Great place for kids with Go Ape in the park.. Brilliant walk for under fives with the okay walk.. Saved many a parent sanity in Covid.. Huge clear area for dogs and kids to play, beautiful scenary to wander round.. Car parking charges apply
D. H.
Went to Go Ape with my daughter and nephew and had a great time. The staff were excellent and friendly, a nice touch was remembering my daughter's name and encouraging her from the ground. We went around the junior course 4 times but this may of been because it wasn't very busy. Thoroughly recommended.
N. M.
Great place for a day out on a hot day, a place to let the dogs free or the kids spend some energy, beautiful country with plenty of entertainment for those who enjoy being outdoors.
The first attraction is Go Ape, a fantastic tree top adventure course with multiple courses and an additional childrens course for the smaller ones. Great entertainment for small groups or large parties.
There is also a large play park with plenty of jungle gyms, climbing frames, swings and mini zip wire for the kids to enjoy, enclosed as well.
There is a childrens walk around play trail to keep them interested during walks or hikes, with different activities at each part.
There is also a cafe, public toilets and a smaller park closer to the entrance, with the parking spread fairly evenly out through the middle. The public toilets are a bit of a walk from the main fields and park and the Go Ape centre which is the only downfall but it is otherwise a great place to visit.
In addition to all this, I believe they regularly held event days and childrens days there during summer holidays and half term.
A. W.
Lovely open space for picnics, dog walk etc and a nice, good value cafe. Also Go Ape and a fun looking bunch of adventure playgrounds for varying ages. Great for kids. Plenty of parking, typical charges (pay by card or online - RingGo).
M. R.
This is a great place to relax with the family
P. N.
Superb for families, they have thought of everything, EXCEPT people in wheelchairs or , as I was, disabled scooter. Very disappointed that, having seen photos of river banks etc on web site, these are not available to disabled. You get to the bridge below visitor centre and you can’t go left or right to follow river and impossible to go through gate to the meadow. We had granddaughter with us and she loved it, although busy plenty of space. So 4 stars.
A. N.
Great place to take kids for the price of the car park cafe two play parks and a woodland walk with wooden carved play animals. Go Ape, woodland walks fields and picnic areas.
e. d.
beautiful place with lots of walks and a patk for the kids.
only reason I gave this 4 stars and not 5 was because the cafe had a lot of things unavailable and was quite expensive.
T. F.
Such a nice walk that goes all the way from Riverside to Winchester, as well as to the Southampton Airport.
Plenty of cool locations and animals. Swans, geese and rabbits. Spotted a deer once there too. Very cool.
There's a giant bench around the Country House park bit as well as plenty of little benches around the fields.
H. R.
Love it here! Lovely walks, great parks and nice restaurant- get the lasagne! Or at the very least, a portion of chips. The trail with the wooden play structures is a highlight each time we visit.
V. c.
Great outdoor activities
N. S.
Lovely country park, great play area and walks with things to play on for kids along the way. Mysterious covered reservoir is interesting...!
L. W.
Loads for the kids to do, play trail and two larger play areas. There is a go ape here also. Has a great cafe for snacks, lunch and drinks. Nice walks through woodlands with a couple of large fields.
K. B.
We go here a lot and staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Regularly things to do. There is a play trail for kids dotted round the woods. There are also two great play area's one with a zip line. Good outing for a walk around in nature.
E. A.
Lovely walks. Large area for dog walking. Cafe open although takeaway ample benches outside to sit. Social distancing inside whilst purchasing refreshments
S. J.
A really nice family place. Great features to keep the children busy, including a really fun trail to complete. The cafe is lovely with a wide spread, really reasonable selection of food and drinks. Big thumbs up!
D. G.
Good play areas for children and adults (Go Ape), some good walks, dog friendly. Paths were rather muddy when we went, though, to be fair, there had been a lot of rain. Currently some areas are closed because they are in the process of upgrading café and other facilities. Still plenty of potential for improvement.
P. H.
Unfortunately rather wet this visit but it did not curb our enthusiasm for a brisk walk. When we have been on previous visits it has been dry and sunny, a lovely place for a walk or even a picnic. The cafe is very good with reasonably priced food and drinks
H. B.
Kids love it here our firdt go to place
M. B.
Relaxing environment with a number of nice walks suitable for all ages. Easily able to take pushchair round and our toddler loves jumping on all the woodland activities. Definitely reccomend!
D. N.
Great little park and walk. Car park prices are £1/hr so take some coinage if you drive. There are various walks and a large fields for picnics and play. There is a cafe/gift shop if desired. All told a useful place to go to with the kids if you don't want to stray too far.
J. W.
Many paths have been made up and play facilities improved. Café is well worth a visit for its good food and menu choices. Hot & cold light bites, full dinner meal, cream teas. Will go again.
C. P.
Lovely place to take children.
J. S.
This is a lovely country park with a great play area for kids, zip wire, climbing frames etc. When you have exhausted this you can go for a ramble in the woods alongside underneath the GoApe activity which my little ones always like to watch. There is also a visitor centre which always has activities for kids to do like colouring and craft. There is also a woodland trail to follow outside. We have visited in all kinds of weather and it has never been a disappointment, just make sure your carpark ticket doesn't run out as the wardens seems to haunt the place!! In the holidays they run other activities like bushcraft but i haven't tried any of these yet.
N. S. (.
Visit 25/05/2020, between 1000-1115. Quite empty, lots of paths, lots of woodland to explore. People well behaved with social distancing, facilities closed. Happy family. Parking charges reasonable & contactless payment; vehicle registration required.
E. J.
Lovely open spaces to walk the dogs, good play area, cafe and a go ape!
J. O.
Lovely facilities, play trail is well maintained, parking has been made more open, tree thinning has opened up the woods and visibility. Parking machines don't seem to work very well, had to resort to RingGo app.
C. C.
lovely woodland walks, play equipment suitable for a range of ages. parking not too expensive. convenient cafe, which offers gluten free options; HOWEVER disappointed that when I asked if the soup was gluten free and ordered this; it came with a bread roll which was not; I checked with the server before eating it; and was told as I didn't specifically ask if the bread roll was gluten free it was not their fault. NOTE; they do have gluten free bread available in the freezer; but I was told by her at this point there was no point as my soup would be finished by the time it was prepared. (an apology and a note to ask for all parts of the meal to be gluten free when ordering would have been enough!!)
C. W.
A good place to take the children as it has a large play area and a Go Ape adventure area. A bit muddy following rain, so wear your boots.
W. W.
A lovely country park. Plenty of different play areas in and around the woods.
Go Ape
Cafe and toilets.
Would visit again.
When enquired re park out motorhome lady emailed back very promptly and was very helpful.
S. P.
As always, the parking is very annoying as 2 cars take up 4 spaces as they park so far apart and at angles. They really need to mark out some spaces and double the amount of cars they can fit in.
Pleasant walk under the shady trees in the hot sun. Junior running wild in the trees and the playground.
M.
Love it there... Something for all. Climbers, Runners, walkers and dogs, Enclosed play area... Beautiful walk around the whole outside of the Park with or with your pet...
Unfortunately as a Fog lover my self, normal people still have to deal with members of the 'sub-human race' who consider picking up there dogs mess..well done, and then... disregarding it into the bushes, or hanging in trees as a decoration to their total selfish ignorance...
But, that is not the parks fault, as bins are provided I may add, but is there a 'Ladybird book' explaining what a bin so other can join us in normality before dogs are barred on account of the even more stupid!
M. &. M. A.
Great open spaces and woodland areas to walk and plenty of play equipment to entertain the children, parking is reasonable and there is also a cafe selling various drinks and snacks with toilets also available
P. F.
Great place for all ages. Very wheel chair & buggy friendly. Lovely play areas for the kids. Loads of picnic benches. Cafe and toilets on site. Only issue is to pay for parking.
1. g.
Great place to walk, cycle, ride your horse, fly kites, pay exuberant parking fees and lots more. Enjoy the cafe, shop, toilets and playgrounds.
T. F.
Lots of open space to play with your dog
L. F.
Great place for the kids, with lots of play trails to keep them interested. Short circuit for the bike as well
L. P.
Came here for my sons birthday party at Go Ape then had picnic in the park. Lovely open space with playground and trails around the wood. A lovely local treat
L. B.
Get wheelchair around paths easy lovely park to take dogs first time it was beautiful cafe had fair prices. And kids have fun with the playgrounds and zip line blue badges holders park free all day went back again on 3rd june had a fossil hunt for kids today lovely place you can spend hours there and you think you could be miles away
g. h.
We live the play trails! Out 3.5 yo enjoys exploring in the woods and finding bits to climb on and slide down. A particular favourite spot on a quiet day is behind the main play area as there are lots of squirrels!
A. S.
Great place to go for a walk, fantastic for letting kids use their energy, nice cafe aswell
M. M.
Great place to spend a couple hours and relax. There's also a great parkrun here on Saturdays at 9am.
S. H.
I used to go here all the time as a child with my family and there are still some great things to do here for families. You can walk through the woods and across the fields of the main park. If you go by the barn and down the track to the lower field there is a series of walks there which you can choose (long or short) and you can just about see Southampton Airport from there too. The only thing that is slightly annoying now is the Go Ape. What used to be a peaceful walk through the woods is now noisy and there are people on the ground who take up the footpaths. Not sure it was the best place to put a Go Ape but if you like that sort of thing it will be ok I guess.
S. C.
Love the shaded woodland walk.
a.
Great place to have a walk and picknic.Still haven't explore it all so looking forward to it when weather is nicer.Plenty of space so even when is busy you can have your space and easily keep the distance
K. M.
Excellent instructors at the Go Ape Adventure, a great course too. Lots to see and do here for all the family, including trails, woods for den building, a cafe and choice of parks for varying age children.
B. S.
Great place to get out for a walk & going to try out the bike trail next visit soon not shore what the parking charges are used for certainly not used to keep the picnic tables clean was dying for a sit down & all the ones not occupied were cake in an inch of mud hope it's not the same on the next visit
C. I.
Beautiful country park. Nothing stood out on this trip to make the 5 stars but still liked it and would happily go again.
A. G.
Great place for kids. Popular in school holidays (obviously) but not overly rammed which is nice. Plenty of space and nice café to warm back up in. There is also an outside play park with seating outside the cafe too.
L. K.
Lovely family place with lovely walks . Nice Park area for children. Ample parking.
M. J. V.
Great day out for all. If you like tree climbing bird watching, or aircraft spotting this is the place to go. Even great for picnics and kids love it. Its nice just to walk round and relax.
M. “. A.
Great wintry walks. Feeling away from it all despite the closeness of the real world!
L. M.
This place is great for families, picnic areas shaded walks in the wood. There's so much to do massive fields great place to walk dog's, plenty of parking and go ape centre there too as well as a children's park.
T. B.
Great place for a family day out/walk. The dogs love it and the cafe is dog friendly meaning you can get a bite to eat and a hot drink in the warm with your furry best friend
A. S.
Brilliant place for adults and children alike
g. s.
Lots of space for the whole family to play and walk. Great takeaway food and drink and they have put in good safety measures throughout the park.
H. F.
Fantastic play area and nice big fields for kids to play in. Good forrest walks well worth a visit
J. D.
Great place for kids. Lots of trails and climbing frames for them to play on along the routes. Great cycling tracks as well. Would recommend for a nice walk out in the fresh air with the kids.
W. H.
Kids absolutely loved our impromptu stop here and who could blame them? So much to see and do. Good parking, cafe facilities and playground area. Worth a stop by even if you only have an hour to kill like we did.
S. P.
I ran with the first ever parkrun today, it was OMG wet and muddy but the staff from the park were great, the parkrun volunteers excellent as always, and I had a great run.
I've been here before with my family and there is loads of space and loads to do, also, loads of parking as well so all bases covered :-)
If you do parkrun you can get a Saturday morning parking pass which is only £20 for the year, I'm definitely going look into it... If you are doing parkrun wear trail shoes, since half of the course - at least today - was on grass and extremely slippy!!
J. P. V.
A lovely and spatious mix of open fields and woodlands, complete with various trails, two playgrounds, a shop and coffee shop, ample sitting and parking, and of course, its double Go Ape setup, for kids and adults, a well designed up-in-the-trees activity manned by a friendly and competent crew who gladly welcome all levels of ability and provide personal attention whenever required. Truly recommended, but four stars instead of five from me, unfortunately, because many bins were overflowing and the car delivering pizzas to the Go Ape office was not careful enough driving through the parking, with so many kids around.
J. T.
Such a lovely place to spend with your family on a day out . Good and lots of different areas to walk your dog .good barbeque areas already set up . Good coffee shop .
E. N.
Lovely country park just off junction 5 of the M27. Good walks, long and short. Cafe is reasonably priced. 2 good play areas as well as a play trail.
m. e.
Been there a few times now, great day out for bike riding and also the go ape course
C. H.
Really nice place for a walk with the dogs. There are open fields and wooded areas for shade on hot days and there is a cafe for a snack too. Lots of parking although it isn't free. Would go again.
I. E.
Lovely park but areas where did can run off the lead a bit limited, all in open fields not woodland.
J. L.
Great day out despite the rain. Amazing go ape experience would recommend to those who want to try it.
A. F.
A good outdoor venue, walked to the second larger play space by Go Ape. Service in the cafe was ok but I think you can tell it's a local authority owned venue. Chap cutting the grass by the river was a bit grumpy over walking in the wrong place...
N. G.
Park and trail great for the children. Unfortunately the coffee (cappuccino) served in their café was abysmal and a waste of money: warm milk (no froth) with the slightest hint of coffee and chocolate sprinkles. Do not buy and waste your money.
A. G.
Go Ape and a small Go Ape for the littluns.
A lovely country park where you can picnic in meadows, walk and bike ride along trails.
You can walk to the river and up along it to Bishopstoke and beyond.
A cafe for all sorts of refreshments, where you can sit inside or out. A wildlife centre with lots of things to do for children.
M. T.
Went here for Go Ape. Parking was tricky but once we found a spot we had a nice few hours there.
S. S.
Rather muddy at the moment (Jan 5th) but don't let that put you off! Just wear wellies and give your children and dogs some fresh air and exercise, follow it up with a warm drink in the lovely cafe🐕☕👫
P. K.
Really good day. Car park charges reasonable. Cafe excellent both price and quality.
J. S.
Really good for children so many areas for dogs but they still loved outdoors as do I
L. F.
Parking is not free £4.80 for the day ..lots of woodland trails and zip wires to use at a cost .Play activities for smaller children and open spaces for picnics
B. C.
Really enjoyed the Youth Choices led groups over the summer. Lovely play park and play trail. Loads more to explore which we haven't got round to yet.
K. L.
Good facilities on site. The park is a good size so you dont feel crammed in even during peak times, lots of space. Pet friendly. Good number of parking spaces.
M. H.
Lovely place for long walks with your dogs and a great place for the kids, with a park, Go Ape, and large open spaces for picnics.
H. M.
Absolutely amazing, already planning our next trip! Stuff to play on everywhere 😁 dog loved it too 👍👍
N. H.
This is a really nice Country Park. I have been here a couple of times when visiting family. Lots for the children do whilst walking around.
R. J.
Good fun for kids...2 play parks and lots of wooden climbing structures in the woods.
V. S.
Great for dog walks, nice trail down through the woods, lots of wooden animal themed play areas for kids on trail, open field for picnics and kite flying as well as picnic tables, cafe for ice creams and drinks, small souvenir shop and info on wild life.
F. H.
The new cafe and play equipment on the woodland trail are great. Kids really enjoyed our afternoon here. Very muddy at times so come prepared
P. G.
Two playgrounds (one for older and one for younger kids). Nice grounds and fun play walks. Indoor activities need some tlc, but cafe and shop are both good.
J. H.
Good kids play areas both for smaller and bigger children. Plenty of parking. Lovely for shady walks through the woods.
A. S.
Very reasonably priced parking and a good place for kids to run and play.
S. H.
Love this place, it's great for kids of all ages. My only issue is that there's no toilets at the other end! When you've got a child that's busy playing and then suddenly decides they're desperate for a wee, it's not ideal.
K. M. (.
Amazing park with lots of wildlife... Great spot for photographers!
G. M.
Nice area for woodland walks.Large open area for picnics. The cafe is only doing take away at the moment.Plenty of parking space.
J. B.
Excellent, a great walk and a brilliant cafe with very helpful staff, not a hudge selection of food but pretty much something for everyone. Plenty of space for kids to run around too!
C. D.
It can be a good walk but when it's been raining it is super muddy and the grass gets water clogged - a bit of a nightmare with a pushchair! Also it seems you can't actually walk along the Itchen River as it is private land.
S. J.
A wonderful place for course fishing
C. W.
I visited in the evening, and the dog bins were full of litter and there was lots of litter left around the dog bin in the main car park. Visitors obviously do not feel encouraged to take their letter home. I dread to think of the mess the crows and foxes will make of the litter by the morning. Visitors, set examples to your children, take your litter home, you lazy things. You're ruining the park.
D. R.
Nice place to be. Not ideal if you enjoy quiet dog walks though, the fields tend to be really busy with dogs
A. B.
It's a great place to go with friendly staff at the Cafe. Go Ape was amazing again with helpful staff. However more signs around the routes to walk and cycle would be great.
G. G.
A nice place for stroll around walking, bird watching or a fun family day out. Visitor Centre, 2 childrens play areas and play trail. open pic-nic areas throughout the park.
A large wonderful pond with lot of ducks & gise.
Sinple nice and accessible.
I. C.
Lovely country park, lots of activities for the children and woodland walks to enjoy.
L. C.
It is really nice, just a shame that doggies can go off the lead only around half of the park. Mine are good, don't chase anything and don't run away so makes me sad to have them on the lead
P. P.
Lovely country park. Was actually nice and peaceful as schools hadn't finished. Also perfect for when the school's do finish.
B. R.
A local activity area. Being in the nature, playground for kids, cafe for everyone :)
C. B.
You have to pay to park, its like all things run by councils. You get robbed all ways but then it looks like they're putting up lots of things for children to play on so perhaps I'm just an old moaner😊. Great for families.
W. F.
It is a great park for walking the dog, having a picnic, playing football, the play trail is good for under 10s and the cycle track is ok but basic.
G. S.
Lovely place, some great areas for kids to play catering for a good variety of ages.
Nice little coffee shop, pretty standard drinks but cakes etc seemed nice.
R. G.
We had a great day at Itchen Valley Country Park. The play park and woods were lovely and it wasn't too crowded. Could do with a few more things for young ones to make it a full day out.
E. L.
Good Place to walk the dog, large open space and wonderful views only downside during winter months grass paths become a mud slide.
S. S.
Great place to take our 4 year old granddaughter. Lots to do and play on.
L. I.
Really lovely outdoors
Toilets clean.
We waited nearly an hour for food though wasn't great food when come out, but over all lovely day out.
L. B.
Nice selection of play areas. Remember to bring change for parking! They are currently refurbishing some of the wooden animals and right hand side walk way so some bits inaccessible.
S. 7.
Quiet, toilet and cafe avaliable if required. Nice views plenty to do.
S. C.
Normally a great place for kids and dog walkers BUT what a mess since all the trees have been cut down. Some places quite dangerous and unsightly. Hope it's going to be cleaned up?
D. L.
Enjoyed our family visit. Good facilities and appreciated the clean toilets and lack of rubbish!
J. M.
Great little country park for either walking, picnicking or socialising. There is play equipment, activities and trails for the children to keep them entertained. Worth a visit!
L. W.
Good place to come for the kids to burn some energy for a couple.of hours. Think moors valley on a shrunken scale. Well laid out parks and parking is reasonable.
M. S.
Plenty of things to do for adults and children good cafe not too expensive
L. K.
Great place for kid's, also dog friendly, can be let off their lead in top field, lots of space ideal for a picnic
R. A.
Love Itchen Valley but they've suddenly increased the prices hugely which is a shame. We like to go down after school or on an evening but can see this happening less now they've suddenly got greedy and virtually doubled the parking charges. Also the rubbish in the big park was shocking last time we went 😔
S. H.
Great place for a family picnic. It can be busy on sunny weekends so get there early to ensure you have a place to park.
G. C.
Lovely peaceful place.
N. D.
Great for the kids, they love finding all the little play areas. Equipment is all well maintained and there are some nice walks.
m. m.
2 outdoor play areas, cafe and indoor pay area and walking trails through the woods
Great for a couple of hours with the kids and dogs..
Only downside is the pay to park charges.
G. L.
This place is really good for a day out. Great place for picnics and walks they have an off road bike trial bit short, there is go ape and a canteen good clean toilets which is a bonus
g.
Paid £1.30 tp park for a 20 min dog walk. Main field very boggy. Resident's of Eastleigh and surrounding area should be free to park. I already pay £90 a year to park cars outside my home! Parks should be included EBC!
S.
Great place to walk.. except one of the gates where unlocked in the woods but the exit was locked so we had to climb it
M. P.
Lovely Spot For A Family Walk & A Picnic.
Couple Of Decent Parks & Trials Featuring Bits To Climb On.
Parking Is Relatively Reasonable As well.
P. P.
It's great for small children, lots of lovely things to do, parks and a nature trail. Great cafe and facilities
P. M.
Beautiful scenic place away from the hustle and bustle of Eastleigh. It’s a bit waterlogged this time of the year so appropriate footwear is needed
B. R.
Good for young kids and there is GO Ape for the older kids. Along with a large park for picnics and playing football etc... Though in the picnic area we couldn't find any bins.
J. L.
Great woodland walks and playing areas for the children
J. C.
Nice area for some cycling routes that will help to change the routine.
k. f.
Not to bad but more aimed at teenagers and adults. Not much for kids and toddlers to do
E.
Good parking, lovely big open space. Great for kids and dogs.
M. S.
A great place for any length walk. Suitable for all ages and abilities - very engaging. A lovely play area too.
l.
Was fine for an evening dog walk, parking £1.50 a hour
G. K.
Nice place to spend half of a day or even full day. Plenty of parking, bbq area, cycling and walking paths. Go apes tree climbing.
V. D.
🤩
P. W.
Parking got busy later in the morning so leave time to find a space. GoApe was excellent and the staff friendly and great with the kids
p. p.
Great for family. Well maintained grounds and decent food. There is a kids area and good parking options too.
A. C.
Parts marshland, woodland and fields with play areas and enough space to get away from others, it's our closest escape to full on greenery.
T. P.
Parked ok. Not to busy. Plenty to keep our 4 year old busy for hours.
M. B.
Great location for a morning out!
A. Y.
The kids love it here, lots of open space and woodland paths to walk through. There are usually trails for the children to complete to keep them going on walks
S. J.
