I've been here a couple of times recently, meeting with friends for breakfast and afternoon tea for mothers day and the food, decor and atmosphere are amazing. Its such a lovely place and I always enjoy a look round the gift shop too. I would definitely recommend coking here to everyone.

Popped into Lowercase Coffee Bar after visiting Alphabet Gift Shop. Great place for a coffee and food. Highly recommend the Baileys Hot Chocolate and toasties 😋. Fantastic service, friendly and very helpful staff in both the gift shop and Lowercase. Well worth a visit! 👍🏻

First visit today. A nice spot for food and coffee. I was only going in for a hot soup lunch, ended up trying more than I had planned to check the venue out for future working lunches. Food is good, reasonably fast and nicely fresh. For which I don't mind waiting a little. Coffee is ok - typical of most bistros (no need to fill a soup bowl with brown stuff) but they did prepare an Espress Macchiato for me which wasn't listed. Very much a 'ladies-do-lunch' venue but I'll be back in future. Thanks

A lovely place. As well as a nice café, it sells gifts. We had drinks. One Fentimen ginger ale, and a latte with a shot of vanilla. Staff are friendly. COVID precautions in place. You either scan your details or write down your details for track & trace. Then you can order at the counter. There is outside seating as well. Next time we'll try the food 😋

Fabulous first experience from the moment the door was opened today! Yes, we were amongst others waiting outside before they opened as we knew it would eat busy. Greeted with a smile and seated quickly. The set up of how they ran was explained and after choosing, I went to order. Once again greeted and serviced with a smile and friendly vibe. Nothing was too much trouble. Delicious crunchie hot choc off the new menu of specialties only printed yesterday! Delicious food! Great atmosphere. Clean & warm environment on a bitterly cold Sunday! Will definitely be returning, as I visit the gift shop for special occasions, but never had time for the coffee shop - but I’ll make time now! Thank you to all the team today!

Apologies, but disappointed (would have told the staff, but no one came to ask if everything is ok). We had breakfast (myself the Waffles) and Flat White (coffee). The Waffles weren't freshly made (buy a waffle machine and make them fresh) & warm (let alone hot) and had a 'sugary' texture. The Yoghurt & Banana (with berries exyra) were nice. Had a side of bacon, which was quite 'fatty' - needed to be crispy bacon. The Flat White had to be drunk when it arrived, as it wasn't very hot. Always like to drink throughout my meal. Service was OK & friendly. This is a very nice cafe, but the 'Wow Factor' needs a bit more work - SORRY.

We went for lunch but they were working from a limited menu and didn't have much to our liking so we decided to stay for coffee but eat elsewhere. Coffee and tea came in disposable cups despite eating in. Perhaps more sanitary, but felt like it gave the impression for us to move on as we were not eating. The gift shop is lovely but extremely expensive. Alot of the stock is available to buy elsewhere at a much lower price if you are willing to shop around.

Lovely decor, very clean. No aircon though. Specialise in fancy milkshakes but can be bit on pricey side. Has a beautiful gift shop attached to premises. Worth a look.

The gift shop is beautiful and well worth a visit. I always have a delicious breakfast here and big full flavoured Vanilla Cappuccino. A great variety of dishes and drinks available at reasonable prices. Décor is very relaxing and interesting to look at. Comfy chairs and seating arrangements. I'm looking forwards to my next visit back! ☕

Really friendly staff and great coffee from this hidden cafe at the back of the shop. They have a selection of cakes that is always changing so go back often! Lunches are really nice to offering a good selection of warm and cold food. They even offer champagne breakfast. A must page to go in Burton for a chat with friends. Staff are always friendly and helpful and the shop is great to lots of nice items for the home and unique gifts

Wonderful staff. Nothing is too much trouble. Beautiful setting, homely and warm. Food and drinks are home made and of high standards. Fewer items on the menu due to current restrictions but still enjoyable.

Fab food. Had phoned ahead to order one of their marvelous scones so that I could rush in, collect and pay.......only to find long queue. Had to find a member of staff so that I could quickly pay. This is a very nice cafe/dinner very nicely laid out The food took almost 30mins to arrive but it was well worth the wait. The koftas were amazing and the tuna mayo sandwich was positively bursting with tuna It was very busy so we didn't mind too much. The coffee and tea were also excellent and the service was also very good It was a bank holiday weekend so possibly more busy than usual but we'll worth a stop

Very well furnished, excellent menu to tantalise what ever palette you may have, the only thing wrong not wheel chair or small mobile scooter friendly,due to the upward slope and the raised strip for the security shutter difficult to enter and leave,staff warm and atentif,we recommend that you try it a stone's throw from the bedlam of Christmas shopping, enjoy your self's .
