I always love going to Malt. Their menu is succinct and delightful - I've obviously only tried their gluten free food, but everything I've had has been glorious. Today I had their new chocolate and coconut waffle, and, as you can see from the photo, I devoured it before I even thought to snap a pic. BUT, let me assure you that it was beautifully presented and looked as good as it tasted. Other recommendations are the rosti, and the huevos rancheros. I really wanted to eat all of them, but my tummy and bank account forbade it.

Lovely small coffee/ breakfast place! We enjoyed the nicely prepared breakkie today. We tried delicious salmon omelette on toast but this was beaten by the nicely prepared savory waffle eggs and spinach! All topped with tasty coffee (cortado and machiatto). Thanks, the Malt! Had breakfast at Malt this morning and I was extremely impressed. We have eaten here before and loved it that time and we were not disappointed at all. I had Mushrooms on toast which was beautiful, a little rich and I couldn't finish it but very good. My wife had baked eggs with Chick peas, tomatoes and spinach which she loved and finished. We both had oak milk lattes which were great. Something that frustrates me, not just with Malt, is that they charge extra for oat milk. This is a product that is an alternative to milk for vegans but it also helps reduce carbon emissions and is much better for the environment. We drink it for this reason and more people should be encouraged to drink it to help the environment not be charged more for choosing this! I appreciate it may cost a little more but is that a good enough reason to charge 30p extra?? Rant over enjoyed our food and will be going back!

OatleyB certified cafe - 👌 I have lived in Worthing for 6months now I have been to Malt Cafe maybe 5/6 in this time. Every time it’s been very friendly and welcoming. The coffee is lovely I don’t know where the beans are from but it’s very tasty. Oatley barista for my OFW lovers!. The food though… I can only comment on one thing , the sweet potato rosti…. It’s just other worldly!. I can’t talk about anything else because I can’t order anything else it’s just way to good not to order. I know if I ordered something else I’d be thinking of that heavenly rosti with every bite, and that just wouldn’t be fair on the other delightful food choices. So please if you are reading this… stand up…. Grab those house keys. The sweet potato rosti awaits….. Malt Cafe awaits…. The best brunch awaits… Now go you conqueror of the divine!

Blown away by our scrumptious breakfasts. The presentation and flavour was outstanding and all for a very fair price. We also had add ons which were generous portion sizes. This is our first time visiting Worthing and we for sure will be back to visit Malt to work our way through the delicious menu! The lovely owner and staff have put safety measures in place to respect covid rules and we felt safe and at ease. Can't wait to return.

Great looking cafe with nice food, decent coffee and good staff. This new cafe is not quite in the heart of the town but it's well worth the effort to visit here. I thought the decor was excellent, atmosphere good and service excellent, really good music too. I really enjoyed the cappuccino I had which was deliciously smooth and the tea came in a massive cup which was equally good and amusing. As for the food, we both had the full English and I was impressed. The bacon was very tasty, the sausage was perfect and the sourdough toast was just right (I find sometimes it can be teeth breaking), the only minus was the eggs which were just a little bit over done. Sometimes new stylish cafes can forget the basics (Finch in particular have) however Malt is great and we'll be back again soon.

Seriously impressed! This may well be my new fave coffee stop in town, certainly in the top 3 - and coffee here sits at number 1 (see details and pics below!) Very glad to have stumbled in here yesterday. The menu was enticing, I could have happily chosen any option, but went for the Welsh rarebit, and my fella the carnivore breakfast. When ordering, I asked for a double shot flat white, and was pleasantly surprised to be told all coffees are double shot. In my opinion this makes them great value and the quality of the coffee was second to none (believe me, we’ve tried a few spots over the last week or so!) The food came out within a reasonable time, 5-10 mins max. And was cooked to perfection. I added a poached egg to mine, and two came out, which I was grateful for, as they were beautiful soft poached and runny. Beautiful stuff. The pickled onion side was a great touch and really complemented the tasty rarebit. I would have this again and again if we lived here I’m sure! Both very happy, satisfied tummies and adequately caffeined up. The service must also be mentioned - the lovely lady who took our order was a delight, she assisted us with moving two tables together like it was no big deal, and was just lovely with our children. And the guy who brought our coffee and food over was similarly very pleasant. Together with the beautiful fresh and clean space, we will certainly be back in a few weeks. Thanks to the team @ Malt.

Malt is a true gem! Just back from a week in Worthing and so glad I found Malt on day 1! Everything about Malt is special. I tasted delicious coffee, tea, meals and cake! The sweet potato rosti is a wonderful plate full of amazing tastes and the carrot cake is the best I have ever had! Each time I went to Malt I was warmly welcomed by tall he staff. I came here for the first time recently and was absolutely won over. Coffee was the best I've had in a long while, service was impeccable and food was absolutely delicious. When my breakfast came out I took a mouthful and realised it included an ingredient which since I had COVID last year I've not been able to eat as it tastes revolting to me. I tried to pick it out but the flavour permeated through the food. Embarrassingly for me the lovely server had asked me about any allergies etc when I ordered the food and I'd totally forgotten to mention it, so I felt rather sheepish when I approached them saying I couldn't eat it. The response I got was just amazing. They were so understanding and sweet and offered various alternatives. It wasn't their fault or responsibility to rectify it, but they did so without hesitation. When my brekkie 2.0 came out it was so darn tasty. I honestly can't rate my experience here highly enough, and I will be returning whenever I'm in the area without doubt.

Forget Starbucks and Costa - support your local cafe! The atmosphere is great, staff friendly and helpful. Great tasting coffee and a nice menu of freshly cooked food - vegetarian and vegan options available and they are happy to “veganise” dishes where possible. This is a gem! It’s a glorious place. Incredibly special...why? The welcome us always warm and with open arms. The service is joyous and friendly...always. The decor is stylish...very London chic. I have been a regular here since we discovered it. It’s such a lovely place, so welcoming and relaxed. I go here with my other half, with friends and feel equally as comfortable as a lone female. The decor is great, owners so friendly and the coffee is excellent. In addition I have worked my way through 89% of the menu and loved every dish, I’m working on trying the other 11%. Bright, open plan cafe serving freshly prepared small plates for breakfast/brunch and a selection of homemade cakes. I arrived for a leisurely lunch and was pleasantly surprised by the bubbly atmosphere. The staff were friendly and attentive. I had scrambled eggs with smoked salmon, followed by the pancakes. The eggs were perfectly cooked served on toasted sourdough with deliciously smoked salmon. The pancakes were served with some fresh berries, crème fraîche and a berry compote. Both dishes were elegantly served and perfectly sized for a light meal. I was then able to spend a few hours working at a table. Once again the staff were friendly, opening a tab for my drinks and generally making me feel welcome. I'll definitely be coming back!

Met a friend here who had recommended it. Wonderful service, great coffee and large tasty croissant and loved the decor with exposed brick. What a lovely place.

(Translated) Very good coffee a little far from the marina. Staff very kind and attentive, the manager particularly. Dynamic musical atmosphere but not very strong. Relatively clean place that accepts groups, travelers with large luggage, children, families and animals. Very good selection of coffee I recommend the Flat White. Some products are not on the menu like some toasts so you have to ask. In summer, you have lavender on the tables. Carrying drinks is cheaper than on site and it may seem a little expensive but the quality is there. Same for breakfast It is possible to reserve the coffee for an evening on this challenge and on Saturday. (Original) Très bon café un peu éloigné de la marina. Endroit relativement propre qui accepte groupes, voyageurs avec gros bagages, enfants, familles et animaux. Très bonne sélection de café dont je recommande le Flat White. Certains produits ne sont pas sur le menu comme certains toasts donc il faut demander. En été, tu as de la lavande sur les tables. Emporté les boissons revient à moins cher que sur place et cela peu paraître un peu cher mais la qualité y est. Pareil pour les breakfast Il est possible de réserver le café pour une soirée le ce défi et le samedi.
