Reviews of Fourth Stone Cafe
C. L.
A beautiful little cafe serving gorgeous and healthy food. We loved our flat bread and olive with walnut salad. Pleasant surprise service too.

Lovely cafe with great food! Stopped off here for a late breakfast. They had lots of choices on the menu, including gluten free and vegan options. I had the eggs Benedict with smoked salmon. Delicious! Generous portion.
Waiting staff were friendly and polite. Quick service.
They also had a lovely cake display with a range of options, including to take away which was great as I was full after my breakfast!
Would definitely recommend.
P. S.
Friendly cafe with varied menu.
We called in mid morning while out for a ride on the motorbikes. We parked on the main Street, but there is parking behind the cafe. Only had a slice of moist and tasty carrot cake and a couple of very good flat white coffee's, nice and strong but not bitter, but we will be coming back to try other things.
The members of staff that looked after us were friendly, polite and had smiles on their faces. Well done all, cheers.

Just what Boroughbridge needed!
I never leave reviews but on this occasion, I feel I need to...
What a great place for brunch! The food is fantastic, the coffee is to die for and the place was buzzing with customers! (Saturday 1st Oct). The new branding and menu has really brought it back to life, whilst still keeping the cosy atmosphere. It is still the same staff and owner so as ever the service is friendly and welcoming. In my opinion its is now 100% the best place in and around Boroughbridge to visit for a bite to eat and drink. Well done everyone at Fourth Stone, you should be really proud of yourselves! 👏

Visited with a friend for the first time since the rebrand and we were really impressed! Yummy menu, friendly staff, cosy sofas, and the brownies were just incredible! Will definitely be back again 😊 One minor suggestion would be to see if you can get wifi for customers as neither of us had mobile reception inside and it would be useful for being able to work etc
Z. S.
Amazing cafe, had thought of everything. Really welcoming to my dog and my loud, excitable baby! Lovely toasties, delicious coffee and yummy cake!

Not a bad breakfast for the adults, mushrooms ok, coffee slightly bitter, kids sandwich on sourdough crusts too tough for littles ones, ham and cheese filling good though.

Was there last Thursday with Yorkshire Country women's monthly meet had a delicious cheese scone with butter cream cheese and chutney it was to die for looking forward to trying their home made soup the staff are very friendly and always make us so welcome even though we are a bit noisy 🙄thankyou so much x
B.
Nice café in Boroughbridge. Good menu, bigger inside than it looks but still a cosy feel. Refreshing to find a café where the loose leaf tea range is good, even listing decaffeinated teas! Nice range of food, savoury and sweet. Definitely worth a visit.

Lovely place to have a light lunch. Friendly staff, dogs welcome. Salmon salad was excellent. Bakewell cake was nice.

A go to place for meeting up for coffee and whatever else takes your fancy. This coffee is best around in my opinion. The only problem was that we were there on a weekday morning and it was really busy but only two members of staff were on duty. One spent a long time talking to a pal while we tried you be seen to order another round but she ignored us...could improve by more staff if going to talk to mates .
R. G.
Lovely, lovely, lovely. Great staff, delicious food, real tea. Gluten free catered for very well. Will definitely stop by again.
S. G.
Lovely food, lovely atmosphere and lovely boutique! I had chicken quesadillas, which were tasty and very nice dipped in sour cream. The loose leaf teapot came with a very funky egg timer counting 1, 3 or 5 minutes for the perfect steep time! A nice scone with butter and jam topped the meal off perfectly. Recommended!

Went again for brunch.
A lovely meal and friendly service.
What we have noticed that since the new owner has taken over the menu has changed and there isn't as much choice now. That's not to say its not as nice. Because it is. You need to update your web site. One other point. Keep the FIRE going in the colder times. The last thing you want to see is your guests sitting in their coats. Andrea. You make some beautiful cakes. You always get served with a smile. Keep it up. Steve & Debbie.

Gorgeous food, lovely staff, we had a great bunch thank you!x

Interesting old building formerly a pub and now a great spacious cafe with a gift shop. Try the cheese scones with all the trimmings - they are a firm favourite with our cycling group. Excellent coffee. Friendly welcoming chatty service. A really good stop on a bike ride, or any other time for that matter.
B. H.
Enjoyed a lunch there all good food good portion . Very clean felt comfortable and safe mask wore by staff still as were the spaces with tables will go again .

The owner, Dylan Elias, was very welcoming and friendly. The staff(aka his family) were also extremely outgoing and friendly, almost to the point of intrusiveness. The beans were quite literally magically delicious, as once planted, sky-high bean stalks provide not only endless beans and endless climbing and adventuring for the children, but endless gas that provides much needed speed boosts when participating in sports such as cross country. My only complaint at the emporium was that it was made clear that the owner had stuck his nose in my bean pot, evident by the blood. Overall, 5/5, 10/10 100/100 would go again.
R. W.
Lovely coffee / cakes snacks or something a little more filling. A small selection of tops /dresses and scarves. The blood orange ice cream is so yummie. Well worth a visit but it can get busy so you have been warned.
H. S.
Lovely atmosphere and great staff
Dog friendly and our poodles loved it .
Food and coffee GORGEOUS will be back x
R. B.

Tasty fresh food, friendly staff, lovely decor and atmosphere. I had the homemade falafel which was delicious. The cakes also looked amazing, although I didn't have the chance to taste one.
S. C.
Converted pub, now a cafe and restaurant and shop. Lovely food . Interesting layout. Delightful, friendly and helpful staff. Quirky goods for sale in the shop. Usually a queue for the toilet, as the cafe can be busy.
S. W.
Popped in for some lunch and really enjoyed it. Lovely place, service and food. Will most certainly be coming back! 😁
G. C.
Tucked away in the corner of Boroughbridge this is a nice choice for a good cooked breakfast. Have been with kids and we rank it as one of our go to places, there is also ample parking in the car park so no fuss there either.
K. W.

Stopped by for a late cup of tea and cake. Service was great and still plenty of good food. Our party tried the coffee, regular and speciality tea. All good.
Access is a little tight and there is a step down into the main café area.
