I needed a laptop screen replacement urgently. After speaking to a number of repair services I called PC Fix and got through immediately to Peter. He was extremely knowledgeable, patient and professional. To my good luck, he had some screens in stock but would need to physically check my laptop model to ensure compatibility. I went straight to the shop in the hope I could retrieve my laptop within 48 hours. To my joy and surprise, it was ready within hours. I can't commend or recommend enough the quality of service and value from Peter at PC Fix. Thank you!

Peter Long came to my home, did an initial diagnosis of the problems I was facing and took my laptop away to get it working and it was back the very next day fully repaired and so fast on start up! I found PC Fix online, the reviews were very positive. I took my ageing and very poorly laptop to Peter for a diagnosis. The good news was that he could resolve the problem and despite its age he advised me that it was worth repairing. He sent an email with a comprehensive diagnosis and a quote for the full repair cost. It was easy to commission the work via the email.The following day I received another email informing me that my laptop was ready for collection. Included in the email was a complete list of all the work that had been carried out. A new faster solid state hard drive had been fitted, Bios updated,Windows 10 installed, data transferred, along with many useful desktop apps. The boot up time is now measured in seconds rather than days ! The cost was very reasonable considering the amount of work required. These days, the friendly, efficient, and trustworthy service that I experienced is in short supply.I hope this review helps when it comes to the question of "where can I get my device repaired". Peter diagnosed my laptop, free of charge I may add , two bad blocks were found on the main drive, this was replaced from stock. He then removed the fan, cleaned it, then chips, paste renewed with high quality silver/gold paste, also free...Installed windows 10, data transfer from windows 7 to 10. Installed many apps, cleaned CD -ROM, both not quoted for. The quote for the main body of work was astoundingly reasonable......Peter is a true professional and diligent technician, and as a bonus, a pleasure to deal with...Very rare these days...All in all, a very good experience...Thank you Peter...

working with Peter was easy from the get-go, with fast responses and good prices I had no doubt in working with him, throughout the job, fixing the laptop wasn't as straight forward has we first predicted ( not Peter lack of skill, but the brand of laptop, which is how we found out the most likely reason for it being discontinued) no matter, Peter was determined to get all the parts in for me and continued to work on it until it was to both our of our satisfactions. Peter was very friendly and happy to come collect my laptop, he took my details down and emailed me a link which allowed me to check my repair status. He was very efficient and helpful in the notes on this system so I could track the progress. My laptop and internet connection was running very slow and Peter immediately put in a new drive which sorted out the problem. He had the laptop for a day and he did a very professional job.I was very happy. But I did find it a problem locating his office,as there was such a tiny sign outside for PC FIX. He needs a much larger sign outside his premises as people must find it a real problem trying to locate his office.

Great and immediate friendly service- quick, transparent, very calm and encouraging. And bloody good value for money! The darn box had just stopped working, and started bleeping, and Peter sorted it out within 48 hours. He had to replace the hard- drive, strip out all old info (12 years worth!) and re install. No fuss and no obscure techie conversations. Talk about 'above and beyond'! Recommending to all.

Very good, and reasonably priced, I found it to be much cheaper then mainstream places, and a nicer one to one service, sometimes big companies can be rather intimidating and let's face it, try and worm extras in there, not the case in the slightest here which I appreciated very much. Thought it was fantastic that my laptop was collected from my home and then again delivered, a really nice service to have as I expected to take it and collect it once fixed. Great communication throughout too. Definitely recommend and would certainly use again, although I hope my laptop doesn't break anymore! :) very pleased indeed.

A thoroughly professional and highly recommended service. When google stopped supporting Vista Peter installed Windows 10 for me. However my lap top is 10 years old and my printer wizard failed to install. Peter fixed this remotely by interfacing with my lap top free of charge. My lap top then had new browser "issues" and stopped updating automatically and Peter fixed this by downloading the latest version of Windows 10, again free of charge. Need I say more.

I revoke my earlier reviews wrote in anger after pc crashing and losing all info after several restarts but not particularly happy with what I got for the money I paid. Spent a couple of hours removing software unnecessarily installed which I did not request. I.E codec video players, remote access support, CD burning software etc. Now the pc keeps giving me notifications about software changes and errors due to Missing codecs for films which were installed and I removed. Hard crashes on use during gaming. (it had done this previously after a power cut hence why I took it to him to get thermal paste changed). Invoiced me for an SP 1TB SSD for laptops?!?! Was a desktop installation no idea if he made this in error if he actually installed a laptop SSD into my pc. Make of this info what you will but truth be told I can't honestly say it's value for money. The upgrade on ssd boots up fine. The pc crashes on use when gaming more so now than it did the few times before. Some how installs software in temp folders so not available again after boot up (numerous installs)

Went to this repair shop for a second opinion after having gotten a quote from another shop. I was originally quoted £150 with a several weeks wait , however PC FIX were able to fix my laptop the same day for 1/3 of a price! Very professional, honest & prompt! Would recommend!

My sd card on my Samsung S9 phone had got corrupted which left me devastated and whoever I spoke with had given me little hope of data retrieval. Peter took time as this needed but retrieved most of my data approximately 95 percent for which I cant thank him enough. I have recently dropped my laptop on the floor and damaged the hard drive. I called Pc Fix at 12:00 and peter took my laptop within half an hour. Although he could not retrieve my data, he fixed my laptop and I had it back the next day! Also, he gave me bigger hard drive then I had before, for no extra charge! Absolutely fantastic service. My computer crashed completely - I found Peter through Google, and he was at my house within half an hour. The PC couldn't be repaired at home, as he suspected it needed a new motherboard. He took it with him, producing a job sheet there and then on his tablet, and an hour later, the problem was confirmed as a motherboard failure. A replacement was ordered and fitted; my data was backed up, the operating system reloaded, and my data and other programmes replaced. Peter then returned the system to me, and insisted on setting it back up and ensuring it was up and running. Every step of the way I was kept in touch with updates to my online job sheet. Fantastic service from a wonderfully friendly guy, who actually speaks English instead of geek! I'd use him again in an instant (though hopefully, of course, I won't have to!).

I got to PC Fix through Google. My regular computer man was playing hard to get. My PC had crashed on an error loop and I could not get into the operating system to sort it out. I enquired if they had one with v.5 and they offered me one with a previous version saying that there were not any differences or advantages between their offering and my requirements. But, not wishing to offend anyone in pointing out their ignorance, I started to take my leave from the telephone conversation to which, the person on the other side, made some sounds as to indicate that I, ...
