Cannot recommend enough! Recently moved to Colchester and wanted to pop into the shop as I'm a massive fan of pc gaming! My pc build was 6 years old and wanted to start the foundations of a new build, so I ended up getting a brand new case to kick things of everything transferred over including new fans, service, clean and health check, the end result was perfect, couldn't of asked for more!!! & the price was very fair!!! Will be a customer for life now and carry on with my build using these guys! Loads of knowledge, friendly people, and everything you need for your pc needs they have!

Many thanks indeed to Dylan of Nexus who correctly diagnosed, repaired and returned my desktop in a record 5 hours when I was delirious over a deadline. You saved my skin and will be my first port of call in the next crisis! In the nicest possible way, I will bring you a lot more problems.

Nexus were fantastic when I came in with some PC upgrades that I needed installing. Northern bloke (whose name escapes me) was perfectly accommodating in his service delivery, and always offered his advice on possible improvements to help my machine run smoother. The pricing seemed very reasonable for the services offered. Installation was very quick as it took just over a day, despite their standard 3-5 working day policy! side note: when I received the system back, I had to reinstall my driverfix app which identifies any new drivers. for the first day or so I was experiencing crashes and BSODing due to one driver not being installed but that is merely a small hitch. Overall the service was brilliant and I'd recommend Nexus Technology for any and all tech issues and installations.

I cannot recommend Nexus Technology enough. The service offered by Steve and his team was second to none. I was spending a lot of money on a high end system for Content CreationThat’s so basically so I was a little anxious over the quality of the parts going into the system. I gave Steve a budget and Steve’s advice and recommendations were spot on.. He specced out a system for me which I could find no fault in. He reigned back my choices of components so I didn’t spend any unnecessary money. He even swapped out a GPU for a more expensive model because of supply difficulties at some cost to himself. If you want a reliable trustworthy company to build a system for you then you can’t do any better than NEXUS TECHNOLOGY.

I have a very happy Son with his own purchase of the IX3 gaming pc with 2 monitors all built by Nexus within 3 weeks. I dealt with Steve throughout who certainly knows his stuff and was very helpful in helping me to order exactly what my son wanted. Steve even boxed it all up with the leads to each part of equipment to help us to set this up at home. I needed to make a phone call into steve for help once I set it up (I didn’t push the main lead right in! Oops) and wasn’t made to feel silly in calling him up! Bought a iiyama G-Master 24 inch 165Hz Curved gaming monitor. Great product at a reasonable price. As usual the staff where helpful and gave me some expert advice on how to get the best from the product. I've just had my PC repaired by Nexus. This is the first time I've used this company. I mainly dealt with a gentleman call Dillon, very civil helpful and professional . I've use other companies in the past and they outstripped all of them. Their service is practically valuable at this time of Covid 19 pandemic. Currently they have all the Covid safety precautions in place. This means that only one person in the shop at a time. So the delivery service they provide, was really good at this time. Had it not been for that, I don't have a car, I'd would have had to use public transport to the shop, dealt with paying for the repair, then call a taxi, whilst waiting outside in poor weather for it to arrive. With their service, I got a taxi on the Monday at 11.30 and it was delivered back to my house at 18.20. So start to finish 31 hours. Just to add, the work is excellent, result A *****

I have an extremely happy daughter that loves gaming. Internet is a minefield when looking for the best value and experience in gaming and Steve and crew at Nexus have been amazing. We arrived and explained what gaming experience was wanted and Steve explained everything so well so that we could understand the differences and what we could have in budget. Within 8 day’s our customer built computer was ready and so much additional support given in terms of set up and best monitor again in terms of what gaming experience my daughter wanted. So easy to set up at home with the guidance given at Nexus and within an hour my daughter had downloaded the games she wanted to the tower and she was off! I recently needed an upgrade of my desktop PC, I visited Nexus Technology to discuss and possibly make a purchase after reading the reviews, I must say I was impressed. I discussed my needs with Steve who was extremely helpful, courteous and professional, he did not try to sell me a desktop I did not require. On the day I was due to pick up my purchase, I knew I would be late because of traffic problems, Steve was supportive and accommodating & agreed to meet me later so I could get the desktop PC before the Easter weekend. Having set this desktop PC up and copying the data from my old desktop PC that Steve had transferred to the new one, I am impressed and I will certainly be using Nexus Technology again and would certainly recommend them.

Nexus have a knowledgeable, professional team who clearly pride themselves on offering an outstanding customer service. Unlike large companies who generally only work to a 'one size fits all' sales policy and dubious servicing capabilities, Nexus offer a thoughtful, bespoke build service and excellent value for money for both the purchase of new kit and repairs to tired machines. I took my cranky 6 year old Core i3 laptop in for a service and serious hardware upgrade this week. What I had when I left the shop was a lightning fast laptop every bit as capable as a new model but at half the price. What's not to like. Steve is now building a bespoke tower system to my specification. I live in France and travelling to Colchester takes me a full day. This is a measure of my trust in this company. I would recommend other ex pats to use Nexus with confidence. I am sure sensible carriage costs could be worked out.

One of the few remaining Computer retailers who go beyond offering turnkey computer solutions. I was very pleased with Steve (the owner) listening to my requirements, and with some discussion over the spec details for a week or so, I ended up with a bespoke desktop system with no os installed which completely met with my needs. The timescales and price discussions were also within my requirements. Please give Nexus a visit if you are after a perhaps-specialised computer capability. I can't recommend them enough.

Never been in store before. Laptop needed hospitalisation and it received dedicated attention for a short stay of 5 days and a final bill of £100. I couldn't believe this as I had received another quote of approximately £4-500 for checking and replacing the new part required. Not only has my trusted laptop had a health check and a new limb. The staff were courteous, efficient, and above all professional, knowledgeable and down right cheap! Never going anywhere else in future.

Always come to these guys for my tech, so nice! Never feel like I'm being ripped off by them and they try so hard to solve any problems. I live in a different country and still send my stuff to them to be fixed!

I asked the guys to do something for me that was far from the norm of what you would expect a business to agree to, however through their kindness they enabled me to establish if I was going to be able to resurrect my laptop or have to scrap it, if it had to be scrapped at least I would have known there was no other option. As luck would have it it was simply the RAM card that was knackered and I was able to purchase this confident it would allow me to nurse my laptop on for a few more months (its 7 years old). I have to say, PC World were about as accommodating as the majority of Inn Keepers in bethlehem and when I am able to upgrade I will without question be purchasing my next PC from Nexus. Their service is brilliant, they are genuinely invested in their clients ( I had the pleasure of listening to another client being dealt with, and the solutions being offered were all enabling the client to save money and hassle, something you would never witness at PC World). January is always a tough month with Christmas expense, paydays a long way off and I had the unfortunate unexpected cost of having to buy a car so their understanding allowing me to spend £30 not £400 was much appreciated. A brilliant business with rarely found ethics these days.Keep up the good work

I had 4 custom made PC's for my business with 2 monitors each and had added extra analogy dialing boards. This was 4 years ago and there still going strong. The only problems i have had are the power supply blow on two of them. However as they are running 24/7 i can understand that. I had no problems in getting Nexus-T to replace them. Got them to build me a Ryzen5 rtx2060 gaming pc. Amazing spec for a great price. I've had it 2 days and couldn't be happier. I was helped through the process by Steve as I had hardly any idea about pcs. They sorted me out with a razor keyboard and mouse, curved gaming monitor and the pc and it's awesome, runs top games on ultra graphics settings at great fps rates, exactly what I asked for. Bought a couple of items from here over the course of a couple years. Mostly hassle free, friendly staff, OK prices. However, don't take "available" as meaning available in store. If it says "available" on anything it means they might have it, or they might not. It was made out like this was MY confusion, but generally speaking if something shows as available on any site it would mean it is available to buy, not to order in on backorder. Maybe I'm being pedantic but this seems like a fairly glaringly obvious oversight on behalf of the store.

Went to nexus for a new custom build I needed some advice as been out the loop with pcs since multi core cpus hit the market and knowing that its not all about the cpu clock speed anymore was a little lost to what cpu offers best performance for money etc. I needed somthing powerful for 4k video editing etc so nexus suggested all the options and let me make my own decisions etc. Customer service top marks would definitely recommend over any other companies. Placed order with them and pc was built and ready to pick up in a week. When got the pc home opened it up to check all components orded were installed and was blown away at how neat and tidy the cable management was. VERY TIDY!!! Prices were very much on the mark too couldnt really find components cheaper online and when you factor in the build time it worked out a very attractive price. Spent near £1600 and worth every penny. Thanks very much nexus will see you again in few yrs. Many thanks Darren

This is a computer shop were the staff know what that are talking about, and the staff are helpful to. Parking is round the back of the shop, the entrance to the shop is of a main road and inside there is a very steep slope not suitable for wheelchair.
