My iMac was running very slowly and now it's like a brand new machine, despite being over 7 years old. Had a new SSD drive fitted, service and clean (it was very dirty!). Reasonably priced, great service and quick turnaround. Highly recommend.

The video card on my iMac failed leaving a black screen and the machine effectively useless. After speaking with a few other Mac repair places I determined that none of them had a clue so I let the iMac sit for a year. My wife came across AppleFX and Dave via Google Maps so we called him. Immediately Dave knew exactly what was wrong, knew how to repair the problem, gave me a price and repair time frame. During the course of the conversation, Dave also discussed how to correct the overall slowness. We committed to the repair and dropped the iMac off to Dave. 2 weeks later the repair of the failed video card is complete along with the installation of a new, faster hard drive. Exactly on time and on price as agreed. I highly recommend Dave and AppleFX. They are highly knowledgable, the repairs are fairly priced and executed well. My iMac runs as good as new.

We broke our MacBook Pro 2015 retina screen that it needed totally replacing. Dave was quick to respond, parts sorted very fast, turned it around super quick and affordably, not to mention they gave a spare to use while this got fixed. I want to say a huge thank you to Dave from the first day I rang him. He was not only helpful but gave me a realistic expectation of what the problem might be and a ball park figure for how much it would cost. I live in Lincoln and have a late 2013 iMac that has already been repaired under apple warranty. As I had ran out of warranty and tried everything possible to correct a flickering black screen, I decided to call people who advertised that they repair apple computer in and around Lincoln. I even took the computer to one business and left it with them for 3 days and returned to find they had done nothing with it. It is sometimes very frustrating when your back is up against the wall and you run a small business. After trying further a field I came across apple FX and once I had been given reassurances by Dave that he was able to get the parts and offered a 12 month warranty on some parts etc I decided to drive 1 hr to Doncaster. When I got there he was polite and courteous and explained what he was going to do. By late afternoon he opened the computer up and found that graphics fault. We decided to upgrade the logic board and whilst he was there to put a 1tb SSD. The following day I picked up the computer with updated operating system and all my previous data had been migrated to the new system. At home I realised as it was new logic board I needed to reinstall software operating keys etc but that wasn't too much hassle. The only issue I had was was I had lost all my keychain passwords and that included my backups. I rang Dave back up and he tried to give me different ways of reinstalling keychain, but to no avail. Since then I have discovered that if you have a new logic board put in keychain recognises it as a new computer and wipes your data. So a for future users remember to back keychain up to another program ,icloud or another software program. Finally I have now been using the computer for over a month and it has been super fast and reliable. I have to say a big thank you to Apple FX for you service provided and as I now know you build websites and do SEO etc I may in the near future come back to you for these services too.

Bought a reconditioned MacBook Pro which is really well equipped, the only downside was the battery didn't hold charge for long. A call to Dave and he said "not a problem bring it in and I'll sort it" Amazing services, we wouldn't go anywhere else!

Dave here at AppleFX is THE man! After several other computer repair shops could not get my Windows laptop working (btw, AppleFX repair not just Apple products!), the others all told me there was a problem with the motherboard and that I'd be better off buying a new one. However, the fast, efficient and friendly staff at AppleFX swiftly got my laptop to the technical guru that is Dave, who incredibly fixed my laptop within hours, just in time for my trip abroad! I've saved a lot of money from not having to buy a new laptop, so I will now recommend you to everyone I know! Btw, AppleFx have just moved to their new office in Scot Lane, near the market. Having seen the great reviews AppleFX have rightly received, I couldn't find them at first as they haven't got their new store frontage sign on yet, but they are directly opposite the Cancer Research charity shop on Scot Lane.

Superb service. MacBook mid 2010 now has a new 1TB SSD and the operating speed is unbelievable, compared to pre upgrade. Dell Latitude D630 Windows 7 Pro has just been upgraded to 4GB ram and 500GB SSD, again the performance is now A1. Big thanks to Dave for his diagnosis, advice and upgrade knowledge & capabilities.Reasonable price compared to purchasing brand new equipment. Highly recommended. iMac 2011 upgrade will be next.

Great service, had faulty hard drive replaced & fresh install on ageing 2009 mac book pro, gave it a new lease of life. Also updated a 2010 mac book pro to latest systems, installed new wi-fi card, saved me literally thousands rather than buy apple new lap tops .Would definitely use these guys again for any future repairs. highly recommended & very reasonably priced. thanks Dave.

MBP 2011 wouldn’t open. Dave diagnosed it needed a new graphic chip. He was able to do this and upgrade the MBP eith an SSD drive also putting in an HD drive in place if the CD drive. He gave excellent service and support both during the repair and afterwards.

Apple FX what can I say apart from this is the place I’d recommend to anyone who has tech issues with their Mac or pc I took my MacBook Air in as it wasn’t booting up and thought it was in deep sleep mode after watching a video on u tube this wasn’t the case Dave informed me it was a blown chip and ordered it collected week after she’s up and running again not doing bad for a 2013 model it wasn’t cheap but it was compared to buying another Mac job done thanks Dave and Emma
