Macguys replaced the battery in my seven-year-old MacBook Air, wiped the hard drive after I had backed it up, and reinstalled the operating system, as well as replacing a lost screw in the back! I now have a much faster machine that is almost as good as new, and I’m sure it will last me at several more years. Quick, friendly service.

Macguys is such a nice place to save your macbooks. I accidentally spilled a peach tea in my macbook pro and was so frustrated because of the sticky buttons. I found Macguys through a friend and the people there are really nice. They not only keep informing me about the repairing process but also keep telling me to stay calm (well, basically providing mental consultation). The repairment is really quick and they are so willing to help you double-check if there’s still something wrong! Will definitely recommend people going to Macguys! :)

Came in with a 7 year old macbook pro with a processor that wouldnt stop crashing and sound bars which made any kind of volume impossible while playing any sort of audio, but MacGuys managed to fix both within 2 days and now it runs like the day I got it. Could not recommend their services higher, really good customer service and always happy to explain the repair process. Absolutely gets my recommendation.

This place is really excellent and has helped me twice - both times they have been super quick at mending my Apple laptop which I use to work from home. The first time was the day before a UK lockdown and they managed to repair my laptop on the same day which is incredible. They are not cheap but do really great work and are such nice guys. Can highly recommend Macguys. Have used them twice so far. first time was 2019 when I tried to repair my MacBook from 2010 with the disks that comes with it to no avail. Had it back within 24 hours. Yesterday I had to bring it back as it stopped working the previous evening. Wasn't gonna try to fix it this time. For some unknown reason it had lost its operating system which Yusef showed me and thought maybe my hard drive was on its was out. After a look at hard drive he said it was fine. I knew when I brought my Macbook Air with a broken screen in that it wouldn't be cheap to fix, but I thought I'd be without a laptop for at least a couple of days, probably more. I walked in and was advised competently and able to pick up my fixed laptop an hour later!

The work was completed to an excellent standard in 2 hours and have had no problems with it since. Friendly and helpful service and super handy if you live in the area. Much better than the wait for service/ repairs at the Apple Store!

Yousef and the Mac Guys team have been beyond helpful to me when I fried my Mac with a misplaced glass of water! They answered the phone immediately and I was with them having my computer diagnosed within the hour. I was offered clear advice with no pressure to spend - but opted to have a refurbished model from them and not waste money on repairing an old machine. It was in excellent condition and I'm really happy with the purchase. I have called them several times since with technical questions regarding data transfer and each time I have been given excellent aftercare for no extra charge. Cannot recommend them enough!

Not only is mcguys the cheapest (I called a bunch of shops to check the prices and they were asking 170 pounds for a battery change compared to 95 with mcguys) but also really efficient and nice. I came for a battery change of a MacBook Air 2011 that they changed in 10 min (and they had the piece which is also hard to find). 100% recommend

Thoroughly impressed with the service I received from Macguys. It is not easy to find a Mac repair shop on the High Street, but this is what I found conveniently located in Mitcham. I spoke to the proprietor who was very friendly and knowledgeable about all things Apple Mac. He diagnosed the problem with my computer with a few minutes and offered me a solution there and then. I was referred to Mr Yousuf by my employer. I had a severely damaged MacBook Air (which I'm aware are tricky to fix) which needed a replacement of the entire logic board. Mac Guys are great, I'm so grateful to them. Definitely the best local option for mac repairs. Apple will basically try to convince you that buying a new computer is the best solution but what Mac Guys are doing is pretty heroic by mending older models and fixing what's there. Writing this from my mac book pro 13" 2013 which I wasn't sure I would be able to afford to fix. The laptop would not turn on at all, completely out of the blue, and the magsafe charger light stayed at orange and never went green. I thought it would be either a logic board problem or a battery problem. Apple are pretty shameful, refusing to even get involved because the model is "vintage" (I don't know about you but I'm sure that vintage doesn't mean 7 years old). After being turned away by Apple and some other Apple certified shops, I went to Mac Guys on a recommendation from my work colleague. Not only did they give me a very fair price but it was fixed and serviced within just over 24 hours. (The problem was corrosion to the logic board because of most likely humidity/moisture). Yousuf was great, friendly and had empathy for my situation (skint and without a computer in a lockdown). Some of the restored mac models in the shop were a pretty good price as well. Will definitely be back again (although hopefully my laptop holds out longer!) Highly recommend them if you're in a tight spot. Adele

I have used MacGuys on a couple of occasions when my Macbook has died on me. On both occasions they have identified and dealt with the problem quickly and efficiently, which has been enormously helpful as I could not work without my laptop. After speaking with Apple, they directed me to three different third party service providers to repair my 2009 macbook pro. Every company I spoke to quoted a turn around of 2 - 4 weeks just to run a diagnostics test. After doing my own quick research I came across the macguys. They were very friendly and fast to respond. They quoted 3 - 5 working days to fix it, which I found to be great in and of itself, but then they called the very next day to say the problem had been fixed and it was ready to pick up. Definitely got themselves a new customer here. Will be getting any future repairs done with these guys and most likely going to buy some new equipment from them in the next couple of weeks, too. Great people. 10/10

My MacBook pro from 2012 stopped charging. I live locally, called ahead, and they said I could drop by any time, no appointment needed. I'm always a bit suspicious of services I haven't heard of before, but I didn't have time for a genius bar appointment. I was happily surprised - no scams here. A reasonable human helped me solve the problem, for free. (Turned out my charger needed replacing. ) I was so happy I hugged him. The chargers they sell are better priced than the mac store. I asked about an old broken ipod and he gave me advice on using my phone as a music player instead - good advice. I will be returning next time my MacBook breaks.

Was impressed by the guy who worked there. I dropped my macbook air and destroyed the hard drive- annoyingly he could not retrieve anything. But they repaired within a 24 hours and were verv professional at reasonable price. Hopefully will not need to use them again- but if I do I will go back to the Macguys.

I spilled water on my Macbook Air and it died within minutes (as they do). I phoned MacGuys and got it to them immediately. They were reassuring from the start, telling me how most such repairs are 100% successful. They were also very clear in their pricing strategy. There was a fixed minimum price for a complete disassembly, ultrasonic clean and diagnostic check. If replacement parts such as keyboard or track pad were needed, they would be included in that price. If more serious parts were needed then it would increase. They understood my urgency and got to work as soon as they could. Half a day later, I was called to say that all was well and my laptop was being reassembled. My laptop was in the same state with all files open as it had been when it died. They took pictures of the water damage and showed it to me. They gave me a 3 month warranty on the repair and said that if anything further went wrong, then further work would be covered under the existing minimum charge agreement. There was NO extra charge for using a credit card (unlike what someone else here reported) and they were up-front, professional and friendly throughout. I have no hesitation in recommending MacGuys.

My MacAir had a plethora of problems and was virtually unusable. Macguys serviced it replacing the keyboard (water damage) and operating system (very out of date) plus recovered data for me making the computer usable again. They did a temporary repair to make the Macbook workable, then fully repaired with a new retina screen after I returned. They were upfront regarding potential repair costs, kept me informed of the damage they found and when they would finish the job. Damage was minimal (thank goodness!), cost was reasonable and turn around was very quick. Very friendly staff and all in all, very happy with the service. Very speedy service. Had a worrying fault with my computer of 7 years old. Was told immediately what the problem was and put at ease that it could be fixed, no problem. They also gave me some valuable advice for servicing and next steps they would suggest in taking good care of my computer. It was actually fixed the same day and I received a text to inform me. I picked it up the following week and they kindly allowed me to check the last programmes I was using and restore them before leaving which took an hour in the end but they were easy going and friendly about it. The only small negative was that ideally they would like you to pay by debit card or cash. As a business they are charged for credit card fees so I offered to pay this as it was easier for me to pay on credit card due to the size of the payment I needed to make for the work. It would be great if you are spending a lot with them, for them to accept they may have to pay the transaction fee on credit cards so customers are not put out and are offered more flexibility when it comes it payment.

I couldn't even get an appointment with the apple store till the 25th May I took my laptop to Mac Guys as they are local on the 21st they took it in to diagnose the problem and called me that afternoon to tell me it was a screen problem and ask what I wanted to do. I asked them to carry on and fix it which they did beautifully. I was able to pick it up on the 24th (before I could even see the apple store) Ive had Mac's most of my life and I don't think I would go back to the apple store to fix my laptop, unless it was still in warranty. I had the same question everyone does, will this non-high street business I am not familiar with provide me with a transparent and efficient service to fix my PC laptop, which does not compromise the integrity of it or my files? The simple answer is a resounding yes! The service rep told me what they would and would not do, as well as what it would and would not cost. There was something caught in the fan of my laptop and it was making a very irritating noise, so it needed to be removed and cleaned. I was told by Currys PC World that they would ship my laptop off to their repair centre, which would start at minimum of 3-5 days and £60. I took it to Macguys at 4pm and I had a call at 5.30pm telling me they found the problem, and I could pick it up before they closed. I will say they aren't cheap, but do you want a cheap, non-transparent, and inefficient technician messing around with your precious files on your laptop? I don't. I highly recommend Macguys and will use them again next time I have an issue!

So good! I took my laptop, which was crammed full of stuff, in and had it back the next day and it's working perfectly. I was a bit afraid to delete everything and have a new system installed but they man showed me how to reinstall all my files from backup and it's so easy. If you've got a computer that's behaving badly - I highly recommend these guys to sort it out. Backup everything on an external hard drive before you go, sort out and write down your passwords and you end up with a virtually new machine!

I brought in two macbook pros with quite complex problems and specific requests for both, and due to work constraints needed the work done very quickly. Yousuf and his team pulled out the stops to get a new Logic Board ordered over the bank holiday weekend. Over the next week there were a number of hardware issues with one of the macs owing to the installation of the new logic board which Yousuf addressed free of charge immediately. Its hard to find a good, knowledgeable independent Mac Repair specialist in London who understands the specific issues of working with older models (and why a customer might want to run older hardware). I was impressed and grateful to have the service when at a moment when it was urgently needed. I recommend Macguys and Yousuf in particular!

Recommended micro-solderer! The charging IC (Tristar chip) on the board of my Iphone6s+ was fried (due to using a damaged lightning cable), and the chip needed replacing. This can only be done by a professional who knows how to do micro-soldering (dealing with delicate and tiny circuits like phone motherboards), which requires microscope, and some special tools, lots of practise, precision and steady hands! So, I had searched for decent place where it can be professionally replaced, Macguys seemed to be only trustable shop in SouthWest London area. I contacted Yusuf, and he looked quite reliable, and be trusted for micro-soldering. He has done the job in a day, charged me £75 for Tristar IC replacement, and since then the phone is working like a charm. The new Tristar chip seems to perform even better than original one. The phone works like a brand new phone, no stutters, no hangs. At the end of the job, he offered to show me their workshop, where they have cutting edge equipment to do micro-soldering. Without a doubt, He mostly cares for delivering a decent job, not just making money. When it comes to micro-soldering, I'd strongly recommend Macguys. Thanks Yusuf!
