Would absolutely recommend MR Islington. I went there just cause it was the closest Apple repair centre, but will definitely be my designated repair shop from now on. They have been clear, concise, quick, effective, and over all super friendly and lovely human beings, showing understanding and a smile, which for sure will make the difference when you are struggling or are facing an issue with your work tools. They've completely changed my day not only with the outcome of the repair but with their good energy. These guys were fantastic. I thought I had a broken Macbook but they quickly diagnosed that only the charger was broken and did a hardware diagnostic test for me. They didn't even charge me! I'm not really one for writing reviews online but I make an exception for MR Islington. They are brilliant. My Mac was making some very unhealthy noises so I took it to MR Islington on the recommendation of two other friends. I'm so glad I did. They were superb. Within 40 mins they had fixed the problem and my machine was running perfectly. I was expecting to pay for this but was told that it was free of charge as it wasn't a major issue. They even replaced a part for me. I couldn't quite believe I got such quality service so quickly at no charge. I will 100% be using them again and recommending them to others. I've used various computer/IT services over the years but nothing comes close to the friendly and professional and trustworthy service I got from the guys at MR. I highly recommend them.

I went to Mr Islington on the recommendation of a friend. My Apple Mac desktop had been having issues for a couple of years, frustratingly very slow and also had somehow got some malware on to the machine. The main problem was that the machine had an HHD. They recommended installing an SSD instead and the whole machine was also set back to factory settings. All done within two days. Fantastic, like a new machine. All the staff at the store were incredibly helpful and friendly, and Habib, who was the technician undertaking the work, very knowledgeable, and was particularly helpful in answering my numerous questions and providing reassurance about the work being done. Everyone there was a a real pleasure to interact with. Will definitely use them again and recommend them to friends who have any issues with their apple devices.

Anton and the team at MR Islington are AMAZING. I had a complete nightmare this morning - in the middle of a job, haven't backed up for ages, and my Macbook suddenly switched off and wouldn't come on again. Looking online, the earliest Apple Store Genius bar appointment was a week away. I took it into MR Islington - they saw me immediately, took a look at the computer while I had a coffee round the corner - and fixed it! Retrieved all my work - I can't tell you how relieved and grateful I am. When I asked them how much the bill was, they told me not to worry as it was just part of the initial consultation. I came to MR Islington the day after my MacBook Pro 2017 mysteriously powered down and would not restart. I use my laptop for both work and personal so getting it fixed was pretty urgent. I'd called up Apple Support the afternoon before and none of the over-the-phone restart shortcut tricks had worked so I was feeling pretty hopeless about getting the machine back in working order without it having to be sent away for a pricey repair. I got an appointment at MR Islington the next day and left it with them for just 20 minutes before they let me know if was ready for collection..They had managed to resurrect it and had performed a number of checks which it had passed. They suggested some possible reasons for the crash and recommended a software update. Keen not to repeat the experience, I asked whether they could do the software update and they replied that I could do it from home for free. That would have been a prime opportunity for a less honest shop to have charged me for something I didn't really need. I asked how much I owed them for the service as their online booking form had listed a guide price of £70 and they said the service was free of charge. I have never needed any Mac repair services before and was very impressed with every aspect of the service at MR Islington. I now have a loose key and will definitely be returning. I've you're unfortunate to need a repair, I'd recommend these guys highly.

I'm absolutely terrible with technology and had an issue where my Mac had downloaded the latest iOS update but it wasn't installing despite many attempts and much Googling. So I took into MR Islington, who I'd used before on a previous tech issue. They were very helpful, made sure I had my laptop backed up and gave me advice on how to do this, and also ran me through the different options of service and the associated costs. I was expecting the job to take several days, but they were so fast, I dropped it in at 10.45am and picked it up at 3pm. They are, without a doubt, my go-to for anything related to my laptop.

I took my phone to MR Islington yesterday having had a catastrophe with a glass of water which left my screen dark and my laptop unusable. Having called the Shoreditch branch, on recommendation from a friend, I was advised to drop in to my more local Islington shop who were accepting walk ins. Not only did Ben remove my hard drive on the spot and put it in a case so that I can now access the data from another machine, he also rectified a longstanding problem I was having accessing an old Apple ID - an issue I had previously spent several hours at the Apple Store trying to resolve. And to boot this was all for the very reasonable sum of thirty quid. I cannot recommend MR Islington more highly and they will definitely be my go to should I have computer issues in the future. Superb service! The hard drive on my iMac went, and the team at MR replaced it. What really stood out was this: the disk was 3.5 years old and out of guarantee, and I thought I'd have to pay for a new one, but they advised me that I should be able to claim a replacement under consumer law. Not only that, they did all the paperwork for me. I just signed a form and they sent it off to Apple. Three days later a new disk came in and they fitted it for free. No diagnostic charge either. Brilliant!

Just had an incredibly positive experience with MR Systems. I left my non-functioning MacBook Pro in at 16:58 and got a text at 17:50 telling me it was fixed. I ran back and got the scoop directly from Ben who had reseated some cables inside to get it going again and run a battery of tests to confirm all was well. A couple of years ago they did a good job of replacing a knackered video card (which Apple subsequently reimbursed me for as it was known problem) so that makes one good and one great experience so far. Had a poorly Mac with crucial - un-backed up data; I’d become cavalier and slapdash in saving. Mac was reporting a 'Partial Node Failure’... and Apple support couldn’t help remotely. I’d researched date recovery services and was looking at hundreds ££ as a starter. Apple recommended MR Systems and thank god! A new upgraded SSD system later - and data saved for a fraction of the cost. I must stress this - nothing surplus to requirements was done or any up sell. Maybe I am paranoid but you feel vulnerable when you are chasing lost data as well as a poorly computer. Coming back to edit my 5-star review 2 years later. In March, my 5 year old MacBook Pro screen started playing up, and Apple Regent Street told me it would need a new screen but also a new motherboard. Probably £600 in all. So for the last 4 months I've been using it with an external screen, which worked OK but meant it wasn't portable. So after 4 months on an iPad, I went to see whether it was worth getting a replacement screen. Anton again - not only did he say it was worth doing, he told me that if I had proof of purchase from Apple within the last 6 years, Apple would cover the costs. While it was being done, Anna noticed the case was distorted, so replaced that too. No charge - with Anton's help, Apple covered the costs including labour. So yet again, thank you M.R. Systems.

My MacBook Pro of only 3.5 years suddenly broke and won't turn on again after letting out a loud popping sound. It's a logic board failure that could have cost me £400. But because of MR Islington, they were able to have it covered for free under the UK consumer law. They even managed to replace my dilapidated LCD screen! You have to understand that I was coming from a really bad experience from Apple Covent Garden, who was happy to charge me £400, but made all sorts of excuses to avoid resolving my issue as soon as I brought up UK consumer laws.
