I needed someone to install a whole house wireless network. Fibre to router, connect up with a switch, install wireless access points, and set up the system.
I called and emails a half dozen other firms. No one showed up on time, no one gave legitimate quotes, if they quoted at all, they certainly did not survey my house to determine how to deliver the project.
Not Solid Rock. My engineer did his survey and mapped out his work, came back with a detailed quote, scheduled a install date, showed up and knocked it out. Even stayed late to make sure the system was working. Didn't leave a birds nest of cables behind either. He proactively problem solved and was fun to work with to boot. Follow up was also great, when we discovered there was an issue with set up the next day, he literally did not stop working on the issue until it was resolved.
I've recommended Solid to my friends, contractors and to anyone who will listen. Make your life easier. Hire them and don't look back.
Solid Rock is now my go to for any and everything IT.

While being/humble, the engineer clearly possesses brilliant skill and understanding of tech problems, including hacking challenges like mine. Although he had to do additionally procedures to get the data, which made it more expensive, he did manage to get all the data back. He also made sure to do this quickly before I flew abroad and came to deliver the hard drive late at night after a long day at work. He was very helpful and I am glad to have all my data back thanks to this company.

Foolishly I had neglected to have regular health checks done on the desktop that Solid Rock IT repaired in early 2019. I contacted them again this week when my desktop unexpectedly gave up (it would not restart or respond to any of the DIY steps that Mac suggests on apple support). The Solid Rock IT Team were very quick to respond to my request for assistance and sent an Engineer to assist as soon as possible. It turned out there were issues with the Mac operating system that I’d recently upgraded to alongside a corruption of my user profile. Not only did the Engineer sort out the problem with the desktop, he also reformed my profile and enabled access to all the data I’d been worried might be lost. I also decided to upgrade the hardware on my laptop which had been running too slowly, this was installed quickly and the machine is working like a very different and newly purchased model - this is a far more economic way to upgrade a laptop and having it done from the comfort of home is also so much easier. Early 2019:
In a panic as a work from home freelancer on deadline I googled for Mac repair near me - thank goodness for the power of the search engine and the fact that it showed up Solid Rock IT! It was literally 2 mins before their listed closing time on a Friday night and they answered the phone (they could have just signed off for the weekend!) - the Engineer talked me through what I needed to do - and then we made a plan for a home visit (actually it turned out to be a couple of home visits and they flexibly worked around the commitments I already had ). Not only did the Engineer salvage my work, he did managed to install the upgrades on my computers that the devices had been rejecting (turns out there was a fault that he fixed that I just couldn’t have done myself) and then he health checked and troubleshot my desktop which is now working better than it has done in years.
For both times: The Engineer was personable, professional and knowledgable and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Solid Rock IT’s services to anyone.

C. R.Excellent customer service and follow up service. I had a screen repair done on my cracked Nexus 7. The engineer came out to my home in North London on the weekend and repaired the screen there and then which took about an hour. I paid them electronically on the spot and the job was done.
I then started to notice that the screen was coming up with consistent errors under certain circumstances. I contacted Solid Rock and sent the device back to them to check. They promptly checked the screen and agreed that it was faulty and replaced it with a new one. I was under time pressure to get the device back and the engineer met me in the city to hand it back.
Since the new screen has been fitted the device is good as new and fully functional. While I would have liked the screen to be correct in the first place I do not believe that it was anyone's fault and considering that it was replaced free of charge the 2nd time round, 3 months after the initial install, I am very satisfied.
