We have been doiing business for many years and are generally very happy with everything. However we recently ordered goods and after one week were unable to track package online. I then contacted Sales office to be told that someone would ring me back, didn't happen, I rang again two days later, same story, I rang again to be told that package arrived back to them and did we still want it. Mistakes happen but good customer service can ease the pain. However in this instance customer service was appalling. This transaction does not warrant any stars however I've awarded 3 stars on account of CPC's generally good performance.

In the past, there where catalogues and PC terminals so you can find the part numbers for the things you want. It also gave the opportunity to peruse and think, "oh yes, I need this as well". Sadly all the catalogues and PC terminals have gone. It's being made more of a prepay and collection point. Rather disappointing purchase experience. ☹️☹️☹️

I love this (online) shop, the physical store is very far from my area. I'm a wedding designer and they have the best fairy lights. Partly love it because there's something very cool about being able to buy a chainsaw and pretty fairy lights from the same place at 03:00. That's probably just me though.😁 the Christmas items I got there are really beautiful as well. Everything I've purchased had been really great quality. The prices are really good value. The search actually gives results that match what I typed in the box. The delivery is really fast, especially considering it is a free delivery service. I've waited nearly three weeks for other free delivery items purchased elsewhere. The boxes and packing are excellent, sturdy and easy to open. I've never had to contact customer service or been sent wrong or a faulty items. Everything seems to always be in stock or has a clear notice of if/when it will be back in stock. Very happy customer.

Although someone else went and picked the wrong products the staff were very helpful in rectifying the issue quickly and with no quibbles, even suggesting the products that would do the job. I highly recommend the 50w LED PIR motion sensor light, it's just the right replacement for a 500w halogen and isn't too bright. Car parking was easy, click and collect (then amend was easy). Can not fault the service or products I received at all.

I'd placed two separate online orders which is simple and straightforward, for two reasonably priced stainless steel kettles and both arrived within the expected standard delivery time. No P&P charges either. Brilliant. I'd been searching hard for a stainless steel 1L kettle which wouldn't have plastic components boiling inside, with the water. Couldn't find it in shops or online until I saw it on CPC. And it was just the size I needed too. So far, very good. One kettle however, developed a slight fault after just over four months' use and so I e-mailed CPC describing the fault accurately with a photo attachment. Their response, four days later (no big deal), was no fuss, no quibble, most pleasant, and satisfactory but best of all, employee named Ilyas who dealt with my query, had dispatched a replacement kettle before I could even package the faulty one to send it back! Oh wow, was I impressed by their Customer Service/Sales Department's super-quick, accurate, and excellent handling of my request. As for packaging, it was just the right and compact size; no unnecessary bulking stuff or plastic. Sufficient to protect and preserve the item within. In fact, the boxes can be re-usable or recycled. Yes I'd certainly be placing online orders in future with CPC especially after my very first most impressive overall customer experience . Well done and thank you CPC Team :)

Very pleased with the free delivery service offered by CPC with the majority of orders arriving next day. Most products are available for delivery without the common "not available for delivery" restriction recently seen from other suppliers. Used to be Brilliant until recently From beginning last year the dispatching may take up-to four days which if you have chosen 24 hour delivery is way too long to make mine customers wait. All of mine orders last year took at least three days to dispatch . This was put to an acceptable level in 2020, but the item description is degenerating, with many items stating pointless info about number of stars rebranded brand (brand given by supplier not related to actual makers) often wasting time when looking fr technical info. I am now only using them for restocking, but when something needs to be used strait away I can not risk it

I have been buying from CPC for about ten years since first discovering it as a supplier of modestly priced electronic components & equipment, and was soon sourcing from them many of my other requirements: tools, kitchenware, leisure products, office supplies, etc. etc. CPC is generally good on price, and there are really big savings to be found in its Bargain Corner. I have also found it good at not selling rubbish: even the cheapest items are really quite decent. The web-site is easy to use, and most items are well described, often with data sheets or manufacturers' literature linked to; even the country-of-origin is stated. Buying from CPC is straightforward & quick, returns are easy, and I have always found the sales team to be most helpful and friendly in responding to my queries. I rate and recommend CPC very highly.

Upshot - no faulty parts, excellent customer service, free postage, and items were well packaged. I'll be a returning customer! We've all been there, order something online.. It comes.. And there's a glitch. What do you do now :(, oh if only this was amazon prime or John Lewis..no quibble returns and all... But WAIT, add CPC to that list of excellent customer service companies.. which is essential for online orders. I bought some electronic STEM parts (micro:bit cube:bit) from CPC. Had to wait a few days for deliver, but it was free after all! On setting up the cube the evening I got the package, I was sorely disappointed that it didn't work as expected. A mail to customer service that night, elicited a response the very next morning with an offer to replace or refund the item, return postage prepaid (take that amazon!). In the end, after a decent bit of googling I figured out that one of the power jumpers on the board had to be switched from USB power to Dc jack. Rookie mistake on my part, but I am a rookie :)!

This is my go-to company now. Since I started ordering from CPC they've got every order correct and the delivery response times have been exemplary. But for the first time I had a fault with a lighting unit (no fault of CPC whatsoever), and the response to that was as good as anything I've ever experienced; no questions asked, replacement in the post before I could even get mine into the post office and that, for me, is the most significant basis on which to rate a company. If there were six stars I'd give all six. Well done CPC - another order in today!

I've used CPC for a number of years. They are normally cheaper than their nearest competitors for the same items although they don't have such an extensive range of electronic components as RS or their sister company Farnell. Saying that, CPC have items that are not available with the other suppliers so it balances out. Keep an eye out for the special offers too. You get free delivery on orders over £8 excluding VAT at the time of writing this. If I've ever had a problem with an order, it gets resolved quickly.

Great supplier with quick despatch. Very fair& helpful if you need to return anything defective. Just remember that their prices are all exclusive of VAT- its easy to get carried away ordering stuff- then realise everything goes up 20% at checkout.

The general attitude from both companies is "we gave it a try". As if I'm being picky about actually receiving the goods. Emails are not replied to it a timely manner. This is really disappointing. Their website is also in desperate need of an overhaul.

** See Updates at end of post ** Ordered a number of Raspberry Pi related components, including a kit containing an RF controller board and two RF controlled mains sockets. Only received the two mains sockets, with no controller board included, making them useless. I emailed customer support and a representative said they "would see if they could" send the missing item. I heard nothing further but received a parcel a couple of days later with an IR control board from the same manufacturer, but which is not RF and therefore not usable in this case. I sent another email since explaining this, and giving the correct part description and parts ID, but have heard nothing or received nothing since. UPDATE: Recieved an acknowledgement of my email a week after sending it and a few days later received the correct controller board. So they did correct the mistake in the end, but due to the delay, I ordered and paid for the correct part from another supplier.

Great place with a huge range at really good prices. They stock far more than just electronics so a worthy of a look whatever you need from a screwdriver to a drill. A tv to a toaster haswell as hard to find cables and electronic or pc components. Only downside is the wait times when you collect. They work on an argos business model where you order then collect from the counter.

Use CPC all the time and never really had an issue until a package i received was basically destroyed. They had put a small (but heavy) package inside a larger box for transit with little to no packaging around it to stop it getting thrown around. Luckily the product was not damaged, so I sent an email to let them know what had happened and have heard absolutely nothing back at all from them. -1 star for not training the packer properly -1 star for poor customer service

Really helpful in store, how ever you have to have a good idea of what you really want to buy to get the best help of the staff that work there. I fought that the wait was far to long and they could be quicker with processing people's orders. Having said that it's good value for money and the quality of the products turn out to be extremely good. In fact you can get some leads that work really well. So if you bought an iPhone from Apple, which always come with extremely flimzy charger leads and you wern't prepared to pay stupid money for the same piece of cheaply made rubbish then try CPC instead.
