Mike and Ben did a wonderful job restoring our antique parquet floors. Due to the age and condition we knew they needed extra care and Mike was able to give us the confidence we needed to go ahead with the job, based on his experience of restoring older floors. If you have a job requiring a greater level of expertise I wouldn't hesitate to recommend WFS. They took the time the job required and worked painstakingly to get the best results for us. Their equipment is first rate: they use a rotary sander, not a belt machine, and finish difficult spots and edges by hand. We're very grateful that they have restored our floors to their original glory and protected them for another generation to enjoy.

WFS cleaned, sanded, polished and coated our parquet flooring in the downstairs of our house. The service we received was brilliant from start to finish. WFS were recommended to us by a friend and we have already recommended them to someone else. Mike visited the property to look at the floor before providing a quote (which other companies were not offering to do). We had two types of wood in one room due to an extension and Mike talked us through what the finish would look like and managed my expectations on this. The service was professional and the finish was brilliant. They have put life back into our very worn and tired looking parquet floor. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again and recommend them. Mike arrive to provide quote and was professional, honest and informative as to our options with the multiple different floor coverings we already had. Delivered samples of flooring offered lots of support to see other projects he had completed. No pressure no rushing. Mike then restored two rooms on existing very bad floor to make them look stunning and new. Replaced whole kitchen hall with new product and fitted everything superbly, any minor Carpentry was carried out on doors etc brilliantly. The job so so good we asked him to do more upstairs and again no problem at all Mike finished an awkward landing job with numerous doors thresholds and did a fantastic job. Mike has just finished laying our herringbone parquet floor in our lounge. His experience and attention to detail has given us a fantastic finish, but then Mike has gone above and beyond to help us with sound advice and guidance tailored to our circumstances. Absolutely amazing! I phoned a number of tradespeople, Mike was very reasonably priced, he came out to see the job at a time that suited me, agreed everything with me there and then and was extremely courteous and helpful throughout. He was quick to get on to our project and very efficiently worked through installing a solid wood floor throughout upstairs, installing the skirting boards, loft hatches, door linings and hung all the doors and handles / locks on our new oak doors and all the awkward and odd bits no one else wanted to do! Mike and his team were very professional and perfectionist. Very personable service. Patiently worked with me with several options of wood stains until we got the result I wanted. Sourced best quality reclaimed boards to replace some of the existing ones that didn't come up to the mark. My Edwardian house has been through a total renovation which has been a painful process with the contractor's tradesmen producing sub-optimal work that needed re-doing. When they attempted the floor sanding and staining, it was clear that I needed to stop them and get Mike in. Very pleased with the result -and wished that the rest of the renovation had been such a smooth process.

Sam and Mike sanded back and finished our hardwood flooring in the living room, dining room and hallway. They’ve done a great job: the 40/50 year old, scratched, dull and battered surface is now really smooth, polished and looks brilliant. They were really helpful offering us advice on possible finishes, and paid real care and attention to their work. Mike and his team recently completed a parquet floor, with a dark stain right through the ground floor. 55 Sq m. Herringbone style to the walls and skirts replaced. The attention to detail and the pride in their work shone through the entire project. The best thing though was the time taken at each stage to listen to the client (me), find out and understand what I wanted and then work towards that. We have been left with a truly wow floor, better than we had hoped and at a price that feels like really good value.
