I now only use Lexden Builders for any building work. They always turn up when they say they will, they are polite, clean and tidy and do a great job. Over the years they have built a laundry room, completely refurbished the dining room, replaced the roof of the house and in the latest work, they have seamlessly added insulation to the walls of my sitting room, including replacing and repairing original coving from 1906, plus they’ve entirely refurbished my very tiny downstairs toilet and shower room. Which has gone from being a drab, slightly embarrassing room, to looking like a rather luxurious hotel look shower room, thanks to James’ great attention to detail. Couldn’t be happier. Always service with a smile, always a pleasure to have in the house. No hesitation in wholeheartedly recommending.

Absolutely fantastic service from Steve and his team. We had a new bathroom suite, knocked through and raised floor from mid landing w.c and the size this has given now us along with the extremely high quality of the finish is second to none. From plastering, tiling, electrical, carpentry and plumbing work, all were delivered to the highest standards. James was a complete professional, extremely hard working, great at communicating with updates and checking all requirements, as well as meeting all timescales, vigilant with his detail, extremely tidy and the finished work was even better than we could have imagined. The downstairs w.c was then also completely modernised and again, the outcome was faultless. Competitive quote, realistic timescales and will be using Steve for all future works without question. I have had plastering work done by Lexden Builders Ltd in the past and have always been very pleased with their attention to detail, hard work and friendly manner. So when I needed my elderly relative’s house restored, as it was rather run down, I had no hesitation in asking Lexden Builders Ltd to do the work. They exceeded all expectation as the house was transformed after four weeks to an amazingly beautiful home. The kitchen was replaced, electrics updated, cracks in the walls and ceilings repaired and the entire house was redecorated to perfection. All the workers turned up exactly on time and worked solidly throughout the day. They were not only polite and friendly but they worked to a very high level of craftsmanship. I would definitely recommend Lexden Builders Ltd and hope to contact Steve Friend again in the near future to transform our house next!

Simply stunning work carried out in our house. Steve & all of his team have been amazing, efficient, polite & friendly during 4 weeks of work & we are truly overwhelmed with the results. We felt at ease with everyone that came in. We put our house in their hands distributing keys to all & what we now have is simply the most amazing living space. Lexden builders project managed the entire work. We didn’t need to do anything & disruption was minimal. Doors were secured to reduce brick dust travelling through the house. We had support to keeping as many appliances for as long as possible as the kitchen was ripped out & with everyone being so friendly, even our young teenagers felt at ease & would chat to the team during the work. We actually miss having the team around now that they have gone! The guidance we had throughout led to this beautiful space. Before & after pictures can be seen on the website, we are clients Paul & Nikki. We had advice on layout, design, internal doors, lighting, wall paint though to what we would not have considered such as boxing in wiring so that aesthetically we had the best look of our house. Lexden Builders delivered exactly what they said they would and so much more too. Lexden builders, you are incredible and the work is simply stunning. Thank you so much to all of you.

We have been saving to get our beautiful Victorian but very run-down terraced home refurbished and were inexperienced clients having always just 'made-do'. Never again! Steve and his brilliant team of professional, hardworking, imaginative, creative, reliable and friendly workers made the whole process a breeze. Steve is patient and flexible (we can be indecisive) and finds a solution to any problem quickly. His building team found an ingenious solution for turning the kids bedrooms into two gorgeous, evenly sized rooms from a huge double and tiny box-room; the kitchen is transformed into a modern, very cool space and the hallway, staircase and landing are just stunning. Gone is the horrible woodchip wallpaper and airtex ceilings, replaced with smooth, beautifully plastered and painted walls and ceilings. At every stage of the process to refurbish the heart of our home, Steve offered sound advice and was always available, transparent and responsive to our needs and affordability. We are more than delighted with our experience with Lexden Builders Ltd and look forward to future projects working with Steve and his fabulous team. We could not recommend this company more highly.

Really impressed with Steve and his team through every part of the garage being converted. Steve project manages everything and is really contactable throughout. He is on site when any new piece of work starts and checks on the work regularly - I notice that each of his team keeps him in the loop too. Really pleased with every aspect and zero glitches to report, have recommended to my parents to get some work done! Attention to detail is superb, really happy!
