We have now had two jobs done by Cathcart Roofing and were very happy with both. The first job was some repairs for a leak around our chimney, which required new lead flashing, and the positive experience with that job led us to use them again when our flat roof needed replaced. The team were quick, professional and did a great job. They also provide ongoing video updates throughout the work, explaining what they are doing and showing the progress. Willie has great knowledge and is able to communicate clearly. Highly recommended.

Cathcart Roofing were great. There was constant communication and lots of photos and videos to show what repairs were being carried out. After buying our property recently and wanting peace of mind it was water tight Willie inspected our original roof thoroughly telling us we had about 20 years or so left in the life span of it and so we opted for a roof overhaul instead of the expense of a new roof after taking his advice. Cathcart Roofing turned up when they said they would, worked hard and completed the work in a timely fashion. Several roofing companies we had contacted had looked at the roof and had failed to even come back to us with costs until we were recommended Cathcart Roofing by a friend. Any questions I had throughout the process were never a problem for Willie and he talked them through with me thoroughly, this was much appreciated. I would recommend Cathcart Roofing and will be using them again in the future.

You can tell Willie is a true craftsman as he always explains the detail of his work with confidence and passion. I chose him to replace my roof as he had replaced a great many of the roofs nearby and proudly took me on a tour of the ones similar to mine. He also gave good advice regarding which materials to use. There was discovery of some rotten wood during the work that incurred extra cost, however this is only to be expected as the roof was in a bad state prior to its replacement. Willie was great at keeping me updated on the progress of the work as he and his team did the job. He completed the work 2 months ago and there has not been a single problem since. I would recommend him to anyone looking for roof repair.

Called Cathcart Roofing on 2 occasions. First in May 2022, due to leaks in the gutter. Mr White came to assess the situation, explained me the issue, fixed the problem in one go and sent me pictures as I was at work. No issue on that side of the house since. Unfortunately had what seems another leak on the other facia and called Cathcart Roofing again to the rescue. Mr White once again visited the property quickly and sent me a film showing the large amount of debris causing the issue then fixed it. Prompt and efficient service which is so rare nowadays.

Willie is a 100% trustworthy honest reliable and tradesman, which is so so uncommon these days! Did a cracking job 👌🏼. He priced quickly, did the job a week later, sent photos before/during/after with explainations, and did a lot more work than he quoted for! So refreshing to deal with this kind of genuine tradesman these days. I would strongly recommend him, the company, and his work to anyone I knew needed roof work. It seems to be the norm for tradesmen to literally never show, or take months to come, be unreliable, do the bare minimum, and be sloppy. Not Willie White 😁✅

My husband contacted Cathcart roofing on Monday 29/11/21. We explained a tile at our property had come loose at the front chimney breast and the tile was hanging from the gutter. Willie of Cathcart Roofing said they would come to our property midweek and they arrived Wednesday 1/12/21 and resolved the problem straight away, plus another tile which we were not aware of at the back of our property. We were very impressed with Cathcart Roofing and the cost was very reasonable. We would not hesitate in recommending Cathcart Roofing to others. They were very friendly, honest and reliable workmen. From scaffolding up to scaffolding down was less than a week. Really pleased with the result. Instructed Cathcart Roofing after a period of bad weather when I imagine they along with every other roofers in Glasgow were busy with storm damage repairs. Ours was more a dodgy Velux installation, which I think has been leaking intermittently into the property for a while now. Excellent work provided on two occasions: I initially contacted Cathcart Roofing in 2019 to replace damaged guttering on our sandstone property. We were very pleased with the work and found the price to be very competitive. This year our adjoining neighbours were requiring a new roof and had arranged for the work to be undertaken by Cathcart Roofing. We expected we too would have to proceed with replacing our roof, but Willie gave us a thorough assessment of our roof and went through all of the options available to us. He was very honest and upfront, explaining a new roof was not essential and that with some good quality repairs we would get many more years before replacement was required. We are extremely pleased with the work the team have done, and again the price has been excellent. Willie is truly very knowledgeable about the sandstone properties and has made great effort to make all the repairs aesthetically pleasing and remain in keeping with the age of our property. He clearly takes great pride in his work. I cannot recommend Cathcart roofing highly enough and will be getting them back to undertake all future roof maintenance/gutter cleaning.

Great service from William (Cathcart Roofing). Within an hour of sending an online query, William was at my property to view the issue with the original downpipe (damaged bracket), which was c70-80 years old. After agreeing to replace the downpipe completely rather than the old bracket, the job was done on the same day, despite the rain! I would definitely recommend William/Cathcart Roofing and will no doubt use his services again in the future!

Required a down pipe to be fixed as it was causing significant problems. My previous roofer had let me down Cathcart Roofing was working in an adjacent house in Pollokshields. They solved the problem efficiently and effectively. I was aware that I needed a new roof, my neighbour gave a good report. The installation of the new roof was efficient, tidy and very professionally carried out. I was kept up to date with regular videos, the staff were well-mannered and provided very good quality workman ship. There was a slight problem with the scaffolding however, Cathcart Roofing resolved the problem by hiring another scaffolder. Paul.

The guys were out to have a look sharpish , a temp repair was undertaken straight away and a permanent repair was completed within a few days. Nice guys and a very good service. We had a leaking chimney causing water damage to two rooms. The first roofing company I called couldn’t offer an appointment to inspect it til 6 weeks later. The second company I called was Cathcart Roofing. There was no answer, but minutes later Willie rang back because he had missed a call. Good proactive response. He agreed to come out the following day and he did. He suggested a solution and a satisfactory timescale. Despite Covid-19 he arranged for a skip to be delivered (a naturally self-isolating job; one man, one lorry!) and turned up with a colleague within 15 minutes of its delivery to remove the chimney. Both men maintained their distance from us and worked one on the roof, one on the drive, using the skip, and never asking for inside access. Willie explained the process clearly. He seems to know his subject inside out and was both pleasant and professional. He always arrived when he said he would and never kept us waiting. Of course we haven’t had any heavy rain to test it but I am sure we have had a job well done. Very professional service. Nice man! Would certainly recommend.

Since then Willie and his team have been our go-to roofer for further repairs, adding in Velux windows and ultimately a complete new re-roof. I wouldn’t hesitate recommending Willie for his friendly approach, his knowledge and attention to detail, particularly demonstrating a passion to retain the character of older style properties. His team worked tirelessly in freezing conditions to complete our roof before Christmas. Regular video updates were very useful for keeping us updated on progress. Again, more labour was carried out than quoted for, but stuck to his original cost.
