I contacted Ryan from Essence Roofing following a great review given to me by my friend who had his roof replaced by Essence. From the time I contacted them they came across as a professional and helpful team. The work started on the date they said they would and a full team turned up and carried out the work over the next 4 and a half weeks in a thorough and professional manner. They have an excellent team to hand and everyone one of them was courteous, knowledgeable and extremely helpful. The work was completed to a very high standard. Essence replaced a velux window and skylight in my loft - excellent service from initial contact to finishing the job. Good communication from the office, kept me up to date, the roofers explained the work being done and were very conscientious about it. They identified other problems with the roof and I have booked them to carry out the repairs as a result of the good experience (no hard sell involved, I was aware there were other issues with it being an old roof and had asked them to investigate/advise). Their quotes were also significantly lower than other companies who quoted both jobs.

Essence Roofing and Building Services worked on the roof of my parents home, carrying out a repair to their roof and making good an interior room that had been effected by water ingress. From initially meeting them, through a straightforward assessment and very fair quotation (which remained the price without any unexpected additions) to completion of the work, the service, both friendly and professional, was outstanding. In an age when older customers can feel uncomfortable with tradespeople in their homes, Essence provide the answer. Personable and proficient, turn up when they say they will, do the work they said they would and charge the amount they quoted and not a penny more. And all done with a smile on their face. Great experience with Essence from quotation to completion. At the quotation stage, Ryan answered all queries quickly and amended quote to include some additional work I requested after initial quotation. On site, Paul and crew took a real pride in their work and gave excellent customer service throughout. Everyone on site from Essence was friendly and polite. Essence have just completed gutter replacements and repointing for our entire tenement block. The team, led onsite by Paul have done a brilliant and high quality job, with great attention to detail throughout. We are delighted with the results and the job has vastly improved our building and the new gutters have made an instant difference when it rains. The job was quoted by Ryan, and Gemma in the office managed all our questions and requests brilliantly. Communication was great and the whole team friendly and helpful, the quote was competitive and clear too. The team were reliable and straightforward about explaining what work needed to be done and how, and then delivered it throughly and then some. This is the second job essence have done for us - last year they did a roof repair following a storm and took down an old chimney - we were really pleased with this work too which is why we asked them to quote for another job. I hope not to need Essence's services again for a long time :) but if I do need a a roofer / builder or a friend is looking for a recommendation I would not hesitate to call Essence.
