We decided to look into external wall insulation both to save money on our heating bills and improve the appearance of our house which was suffering from some cracks to the render and discolouring. We looked into a couple of different contractors to carry out this work and as some neighbours had recently had insulation work carried out by Snugwalls, and were very impressed, we contacted them for a quote The experience from initial contact right through to the work being completed has been absolutely superb. The no pressure approach that Tom applied to the whole quotation process helped put us at ease and he answered the many questions that we had on the process in an extremely thorough manner. Even a last-minute change of colour was accommodated by them to ensure we were going to get the finish that we wanted. The work began on the planned start date and the team carried out the work in the exact timescales that we were advised, even working over a weekend to take advantage of the good weather and ensuring the timescales didn’t slip from the 2 – 3 week lead time. We found the workmen extremely polite and even our neighbours have commented how pleasant the whole team were and they ensured all disruption was kept to a minimum. The communication throughout the whole project was superb and Tom ensured I was kept fully up to date with the progress each day and the plans for the subsequent day either in person or via phone each evening once work had been completed for the day. Tom also attended site at each key stage to ensure the work had been completed to a high standard and sign this off ready for the team to start the next phase. Throughout the works our property was kept clean and accessible and whilst you accept a level of disruption when work is being carried out this really was kept to a minimal and the way the team tidies up after each day was something I did not expect but was greatly appreciated. The end result is nothing short of amazing and our house now genuinely looks like a completely different property. Our expectations have well and truly been exceeded by the end result and we have already been approached by people commenting how good the property now looks. On a practical level we have also noticed the house is already warmer and whilst we won’t wish the summer away I am looking forward to really reaping the benefits when Winter arrives. We would have no hesitation recommending Snugwalls and having been let down by previous contractors on work we have had carried out it was so refreshing to deal with a company that not only carried out the work to such a high standard but also had a fantastic approach to customer service.

We got quotes from 4 different contractors for external wall insulation & rendering & also a new A-Rated Ideal boiler, snugwalls was not the cheapest but how they conducted themselves from initial contact was very thorough & professional ,they included every aspect off the job within their quotation. We decided to go with them as they put us both at ease with everything. They provided us with, warranties, insurance, design & system specifications to achieve & meet building regulations approval, building regulations certificate issued on completion, pre & post U value calculations, condensation risk analysis & report for external walls. The only slightly annoying thing was we had to wait 6 weeks before they could start our job due to their busy work schedule & material order lead times. But absolutely well worth the wait. Highly impressed with the service we have received. Everyone involved worked so hard and did an outstanding job. Thank you so much.

Snugwalls have just finished our external wall insulation & rendering. We genuinely couldn’t be happier with the whole process. From initial site survey & quotation, throughout all works, everything has been completed extremely professionally. All the trades were at the top of their game. We always had a good explanation as to what would be happening next and when the different stages would be completed. Tom’s attention to detail on all aspects of the job including customer care are exemplary. We are extremely happy with the whole process, house immediately warmer & the finished new look is outstanding.! Everything has been finished to a very high standard. Prior to having this work done our home was very cold & costly to keep warm throughout the autumn & winter months & lost temperature rapidly when the heating was off. Now our home is lovely & warm, holds temperature even when the heating is turned off & comes with the added benefit & lowering our annual energy bills. I wouldn’t hesitate for a second in recommending Snugwalls for external wall insulation or rendering work and would definitely use them again in the future. Very happy customers.

Highly delighted & well pleased. The house i have is a 1941 construction / cinder block build which is very cold in the winter months which was costing a fortune to keep warm , so the decision was made to get the house externally insulated , after a number of quotations i found Snugwalls so i decided to give them a call ,Tom the director came round and gave me a free no hassle quotation also providing good clear sound advice about the products to be used on the exterior walls . The quotation was found to be very competitive , a date was agreed to start the work which started on time , Snugwalls completed key stage sign off checking the products used and the workmanship throughout . The installation was completed to a very high standard, myself and the wife are highly delighted with the finished product it gives our house a whole new look , with the extra added benefit of reducing future energy bills . We bought a barn conversion high up on a hill in Calderdale. A beautiful spot but the house walls were saturated, the place was freezing and it felt windy inside. Our main source of heat is oil and we were spending a fortune on it. We had new windows put in, but it made little difference. Snug walls came and specified what we would need to make it more draught and water proof and more thermo efficient. There was no hard sell- just lots of detailed information addressed in a friendly manner. They carried the work out professionally and efficiently. Tom, the director, checked everything was going well regularly and was always at the end of a phone. The workers were excellent- it was a delight to have them around! We noticed an immediate improvement. Our house is now a home- warm, cosy, wind and rain proof. Our oil bills have gone down drastically and our EPC is now much better. It also looks beautiful!
