Recently had a loft conversion completed by Jay and his team. I would 💯% recommend Jay & Co. From start to finish I was kept up to date as to what was happening and when. From the suggestions regarding layout to finishing touches, all amazing. They worked their socks off and were always polite, courteous and hard working. They tidied up every day and my neighbour said her path had never been so clean! The quality of finish is ace! I would definitely recommend to anyone. Thank you 😊

Job was started and finished on time. Dormer, en-suite, a couple of bi-folds (1 In kitchen), new roof…and a few other jobs we asked to add on which the team took on without issue. Jay helped from the beginning with advising on the planning application and what was and wasn’t possible and ideas for what would work best ref floor plan. All tradesmen were excellent, trustworthy and just what you need when you’re getting a big job done on your house. They were all on time at 8am each day and just cracked on. I don’t normally recommend but would not hesitate in Mersey developments case. Top crew. Top Job. Many thanks to Jay and team

Jay & his team have done a fantastic job on our dormer loft conversion with en suite. I honestly couldn’t fault anything from start to finish which took just over 5 weeks to complete. I did do a lot of research on different building companies but I 100% made the right choice. All the lads work so hard, from the moment they arrived, they would be here and ready to start for 8am each morning, they even worked a couple of weekends to ensure the schedule was kept too, all of them are very friendly, clean and professional at their jobs. Mention should also be given to the plasterers, tiler and plumber that again were superb tradesmen. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Jay and his team, every aspect of the conversion is perfect as Jay is a perfectionist who always made sure we were 100% happy with the job. Thanks again Jay, we are delighted with the completed conversion.

The whole team where thorough in the every aspect of our loft conversion, from Al the labourer right upto Jay the boss they made sure that we where kept informed and updated on every single part of the project. They even went out of their way to ensure both our neighbouring properties were made aware of what was happening each week and even helped them out of their homes when scaffolding was in the way. They made sure the house was cleaned top to bottom at the end of each day, Michael and Chris where amazing with the joinery work, Lee and Evo did a top quality job on the roof. Going above and beyond all expectations. We would highly recommend the company to anybody thinking of getting a loft conversion.

Jay and his team have built us our dream home. The extension he and his team have done for us is outstanding. Every part of the build was thought out with precision and care even when the plans were not working Jay always had a 2/3 options for us. I could recommend Mersey Developments all day long and if you use Jay and his team you wouldn’t be disappointed. Jay is so particular about every part of the job and what he says really does happen. When their busy, their busy for a reason and these guys are brilliant. His joiners have done an amazing job on our kitchen, doors, flooring. I genuinely feel like I've been on the Big Build and woken up in a different house. Jay and the lads completed a loft conversion back in April and then returned in July to complete our kitchen extension. Each and everyone of the tradesman Jay employs are brilliant. They are trustworthy, hard working and on time. Their work is finished to the highest standard. It has been an absolute pleasure to work with each and everyone of them and just like the Big Build whereby the family give a speech at the end, I can only say the work they have done has been life changing. UPDATE 12/07/20 Three years later we contacted Jay regarding a leak in the roof. Jay was onto the problem immediately and has dealt with the problem. If anyone needs reassurance that problems you may incur several years later will be sorted then problem solved. Very few builders would undertake work like this and I’m so grateful that Jay did as the leak has now stopped. Thankyou so much for fixing the roof. Absolutely delighted with the work Jay and his team did with our loft. Their work and attention to detail was outstanding and I would have no hesitation in recommending them! They quoted 5 weeks to complete a full loft conversion and it was completed on time with no issues and no mess!

Jay and his team, carried out a loft conversion for us adding 3 bedrooms and a en-suite. Jay give us a price with no hidden costs and was on time and budget. The lads where on time every day and very polite. We made a few changes while work was ongoing which wasn’t a problem for jay and his team. We recently had a loft conversion done by Jay and the team, 2 double bedrooms and a bathroom. (5 weeks build time) The initial planning stage was fairly simple and easy. Jay had come up with some better ideas for us to extend our family home, making sure we optimised the space and initially put us off a side extension (which would have cost a lot more than the loft) as it wasnt suitable and came up with a loft conversion plan. Once the work started, the team were fast and had daily plans of the work that needed to be done that day. Having 4 kids, it was important that everything outside was cleaned up daily and the lads tidied up and made sure everything was safe on a daily basis. They worked outside my property for 3 weeks on scaffolding didnt even need access. Once the work inside begun and the stairs got cut in, ok it was a bit messy but the lads again, hoovered up every night after they finished and made sure the house was clean. The work had all been completed and the results are outstanding. It has offered us as a family, so much space by the kids all having thier own rooms and I have equally added double the work value onto my property so it has also been a great investment. I couldnt recommend Jay and the team enough, great set of lads, professional, polite and the workmanship has been exceptional to a very high standard. I would highly recommend and that's why I would give 5 stars for every aspect of this job and my only advice would be, if you are thinking about an extension or loft conversion, get booked in as soon as possible because he is highly sought after and gets booked up 6-10 months in advance. Well where to begin with Jay and his team, they've been great from start to finish. Had 3 other builders who said they'd have to lower ceilings or just plain knocked the job back (a loft conversion btw), jay came in with a fully costed online quote and has stuck to it. A former customer of his allowed us in to see his work - we were convinced at that point given the glowing endorsement from them and a friend from work who had also had a loft extension. Jay has an organised team (and I do mean organised, the loft extension was water tight in less than 2 weeks), he's been attentive, customer focused and the quality of his work and finish have been spot on. A mate of mine is currently doing the painting and decorating and he is hard to impress: He hasn't found fault with anything. You won't find mersey developments advertising - they don't have to. I'd reccomend Jay and his team without reservation.

Every morning when we wake up in our new loft bedroom, we feel like we're on holiday - it's amazing! Jay is incredibly organised and the whole team are really lovely and considerate. Nothing was too much trouble and they take a real pride in their work. Definitely recommended!

We cannot fault this team and would higly recommend. Jay genuinely cares about his jobs, his team have built numerous loft conversions but ours is unique to us and is exactly what we wanted, it's not a one plan fits all. He questions what you want and why and will have 2 or 3 alternatives as to how they can do it. He was always available for any questions and was more then willing to talk through ideas and make some changes to ensure the end result was exactly what we wanted. Our job was emaculately planned, we were kept in the loop on timeframes and were honestly told exactly what would be done, on what day and it was done. No delays, hold ups or excuses. Every single person on this team is hardworking, on time and they are all genuine nice guys, they know their job and they don't just do it well but to the highest of standards. The pride they take in their work is obvious, details are questioned, so they know exactly what you want and they just do it, no messing. But it wasn't just the attention to detail with their work that impressed us, it was the little things too, cleaning up every night (brushing up and hoovering) before they leave being just one, makes such a difference when you're living in a home through building work. Our loft conversion looks amazing, everybody comments on how good it looks, we are so happy with the results. A space has been created that will change how we live, as cheesy as it sounds, its true! Thanks so much too Jay and his team, a quality job completed extremely quickly.

Where to begin? Had a loft and garage conversion done by Jay and his army of manpower. To say that we are happy with the work they done would be the understatement of the year. From the first meeting with Jay to the sign off on completion was a breeze. Jay handled everything. One man for us to speak to instead of having to deal with multi trades, Jay handled everything from start to finish. Helped us find an architect, dealt with planning and building control and really took the sting and hassle out of it. We have been left with a conversion that far exceeded our expectations. Feels like someone peeled the roof off our house and left us with a high end hotel room. All work was finished ahead of schedule even though Mersey developments where only contracted to do the loft conversion I added a garage conversion onto the job while they where there. Jay gave me a written quote at the beginning of the job and didn't charge me a penny over that quote. No hidden extras, no nasty surprises and when we wanted additional works done as the job progressed (fancy gadgets) and such we agreed a price beforehand and that was that. Jay and his lads where accommodating, ultra tidy and courteous throughout. My wife was worried about speaking with lots of different people while they where on site so insisted on only speaking with one person, however by the end of the job she was confident and happy to speak with jays lads on what she wanted and how she wanted it. Every one of them was a gent. This company are now my "go to" choice of companies and if they where too busy to fit me in I would wait. Couldn't fault them. And they brought their own kettle....bonus!! Big Thank you to Jay and the lads. See you next time!

Can't recommend this company enough.I can't believe how quick it was done & the end result is amazing.Nothing was too much trouble & all the lads were lovely & so helpful. I have now got an extra 2 bedrooms,a bathroom & a landing & it doesn't feel like a loft at all it just feels like the 3rd floor to my house that has always been there.Its opened up the whole house.The continuation of the extra stair case & the extra light from the windows has made a difference to the hall & landing too.I absolutely love it.Worth every penny.
