We were introduced to Alton and the team at Blue Lime at the beginning of January this year by a client who recommended them to us. We found ourselves bidding on a site in central London with only three weeks to present a comprehensive set of architectural plans for a 10,000 Sq ft, restaurant, bar and live music venue. The space was not without its challenges and the timeframe we had to deliver these compounded that…plus the fact that it was the first two weeks in January!! I’ve used many architects over the last 25 years of building and designing venues in London, so I’m not new to the task. Alton and the team absolutely blew us away. Not only did they work round the clock to deliver them as well as rendered images…they just got what we were doing from the start. Their input was on point and concise to point that it made the whole process unlike any other I’ve had with any other team. This is the first review I’ve ever written for anything ever! It’s an absolute rarity to find people like this and I only wish I’d found them years ago. Really, really, really can’t recommend them enough. Bluelime undertook a huge building project with us to knock down and re-build our entire rear extension, build in a utility room, add a toilet and re-do our first floor bathroom. They were amazing from start to end with all the architectural work, interior design, party wall notices, structural work and all the final snagging bits. Cant thank the team enough, they have recently completed 2 stages of our major renovation, designing the space, helping with all the party wall , structural engineering , building control submissions and party wall. I hired Bluelime Architects to create drawings to convert the ground floor of our house to an open plan layout. Right from the start, Carly at Bluelime gave me an initial call to gather the background information - she was very friendly, helpful and informative regarding planning permissions and building control. Alton then came around for the site visit - he was very friendly and professional and provided very useful practical feedback on our plans. The drawings were accurately prepared quickly within a week and when I requested some changes they were promptly updated. We used Bluelime for a ground floor extension and garage conversion, they gained us planning consent first time and came up with a great layout, we then used there in house structural engineer and after receiving several costs from other firms … went with them through the build. They were helpful and efficient throughout the costs agreed on were stuck to, when we did deviate a little from the plan they gave us written confirmation of every cost increase and every cost decrease. The project ran to time and budget and we are so happy with our new space, would highly recommend !

We worked with Alton and Carly to get through the whole Planning process including their recommended structural engineer and party wall surveyor. We wanted on a side + rear extension and their experience of working in our borough (Enfield) made this process go very smoothly and their expertise made us feel comfortable from day one. They produced initial plans quickly, made revisions quickly and were a pleasure to work with throughout. Now that the build has started they have been very conscientious in responding to follow-up questions from our builder. Would recommend working with them on any similar project!
