Integrity and professionalism
Just wanted to follow up on my original video
testimony on CLL's website.
It's worth a shout out to David and Renatas @
CLL that 8 years after doing our loft they came
out to review an issue that we had around some
cracking in our ceiling which turned out to be a
non issue. I think this a testament to the integrity
of the team at CLL- still responsive 8 years on
and stand by their 10 year guarantee of work.
Trust is something that can only be earned
overtime and given some of the nightmare stories
you hear about some outfits, if you are looking to
invest your hard earned money in some extra
space, look no further !

We were very happy with Central London Lofts and are pleased with the additional space we now have in the house.
The builders and tradesmen (plumber, electrician, carpenter) were all great - high quality work and finish. For example, the carpenter made the stairway on site and a superb finish.
Any issues or problems were dealt with quickly and without fuss by builders and Project Manager.
I would be happy to recommend the company to others.

With the impending birth of our second child, we decided to bite the bullet and get a loft conversion done to make our 2 bedroom into a 3 bedroom with en-suite. Our next door neighbour had not long had their loft done and the builder they used was awful and made their and our life hellish for about 6 months! So it was with a lot of trepidation that we decided to go ahead but thought it better happening with one rather than two young children.
Anyway, I had originally spoken to David from Central London Lofts for a quote at the time that our neighbours were considering their conversion. We were considering having ours done at the same time by the same builder and I wanted to check their pricing as it seemed to be ridiculously expensive (turns out it was). David was super professional, gave a really reasonable but realistic price and filled me with confidence in Central London Lofts. Although we didn't go ahead right then, the conversation made me decide not to go with the neighbour's builder and hold out to go ahead with Central London Lofts the following year, when we were in a better position financially. He also provided completely impartial advice when I asked him about some suspicious (turns out illegal) changes that the neighbour's builder was suggesting. I contacted David again mid January 2015 to say that we would like to go ahead with them with an end April deadline (baby due) and he immediately set the wheels in motion. End February, our scaffolding went up with the builders starting the following week and all complete within 6 weeks including Easter!!
The consultation ahead of the work was great with the wonderful project manager Barry. Barry is always available, a really nice and funny guy to deal with and very flexible to your needs. He also had some great suggestions when we came up against challenges and never got annoyed with all our (sometimes) stupid questions. Although we didn't have a day by day project plan, he let us know what to expect next, took photos and called us or sent regular updates. He also made the admin side completely pain free so we didn't have to deal with anything, like building control.
I was completely gobsmacked my the progress the team made, particularly in the first 3 weeks. I wasn't expecting to see much progress for a while but everyday I would come home from work and see something major had happened. The team of builders work so hard, arriving early and leaving late, and their work quality was really great. They were clearly very experienced and cleared up as best they could before leaving for the day. All the other specialist teams were also lovely and professional. It made such a change to have brilliant builders to deal with compared to our previous experiences. The office staff were also efficient and polite managing the payments side.
All in all, Central London Lofts were a pleasure to deal with. The experience of our first major house renovation was far less worse than I expected. The build quality and communication was great and I will be getting them back in to price up our kitchen renovation in the next couple of months. Everyone else I know has had a nightmare with loft companies so I would absolutely recommend these guys and have already got friends and neighbours convinced for their future loft needs. Thanks so much all.

Central London Loft' was not the first contractor that I contacted for my loft issue, but they were the first to promptly organize a time to scope the matter. My plan was to call several contractors, collect quotes and pick from the lowest and best price match. But Central London Loft' made it easy enough, and I trusted their assessment enough that I ended up going with them without much additional due diligence.
They have done the job superbly. Me and my family is happy and thank them for wonderful work. I would highly recommend this company to anyone who wants best quote and professional services.

I had been looking for a loft company for over six months. When central London Loft came to inspect my house for a loft conversation, I was very impressed and confident with the company. They were brilliant from the start to the end.
All the builders were very friendly and went out their way to meet all our requirements.
I would deafly recommend central London loft to everyone I believe Center London Lofts are honest, friendly and professional.

Thank you Central London Loft's Team especially David Gage, Office Manager Colleen, Project Manager Barry and his boys (carpenters, painters & decorators, fitters, roofers, plumbers and electricians). All team members were highly professional, polite and helpful. They managed our project courteously from start to end. Project started and finished within agreed time period (very pleased). We were asked our opinion on every step. End of each completion stage they were used to brief us and showed us pictures of project progress (before and after). They have worked without disturbance. They have always left the house clean and tidy which was great help for me being a mother of 3. We are very happy with Central London Lofts and would definitely use them for future projects. We highly recommend this company for everyone who wants hassle free experience.

We are now 90% of the way through our loft conversion. The build team (Remus, Thomas, Luca and Lucas dad!) have been professional, extremely courteous and polite and work incredibly hard. The shell of our loft was completed in approximately 3 weeks, with the insulation, windows, flooring, first fix and plastering completed in the following 5 weeks. I expect the final 10% to be completed in a similar manner until handover. The project manager (Giedrius) was very helpful throughout especially with variations to the contract and answering questions.
The build team were very considerate of how the worked around our family (3 under 5 in the house) making sure the construction works/tools did not harm them. In fact the kids will miss the build team as they had a lot of "banter" with them.
If anything could be worked on by the company, it would be having more regular communication between the signing of the contact and start on site.
As a professional engineer in my day job i would highly recommend them for the quality of work and price, and I would definitely use them again.

Central London Lofts completed our project in February this year and I can definitely say that we are happy with the final results. From Huw to Renatas to Minde, and everyone in between, Central London Lofts are professional, open and everything is transparent.
At the initial meeting with Huw he gave us advice that enhanced the project and has allowed us to have not only a loft room with en suite but also an extension, creating a very good sized fourth bedroom. Something we didn’t think possible. Plus, he dealt directly with some tricky neighbour issues for us and we really felt supported.
When Minde and his team started the works, we were amazed at how quickly things progressed. Minde listened to us and made sure we had the space we wanted, giving good advice throughout. We can’t give him enough praise. Again, Minde dealt with potential tricky neighbour issues directly so we didn’t have to get involved, was great with our dogs and was fantastic when interacting with an ageing father who was in the house throughout the works. We had issues with electrics, its an old house, which the team worked tirelessly to rectify late one Saturday evening. Plus, all workmen thoroughly tidied up after themselves.
Renatas was extremely attentive and never ignored a call or email, and always answered promptly. Believe me, I am very inquisitive and cautious so there were many questions. He listened and I felt like I was heard.
General advice for anyone looking to take on a project like this, with no reflection on Central London Lofts, would be to really think about the timing for such works. We were keen to get the job done so the project straddled the Christmas period which impacted it slightly. Although Minde and his team worked everyday possible over the period, which we really appreciated, there was a knock-on to other trades that was out of the control of Central London Lofts, so keep in mind that there is potential for slight delays around this time. Plus, it can get rather cold too.
I would also suggest that you do research into the process and the different communication streams that need to be maintained – is the plumber coordinating with the electrician, for example? To get the completed project you envisage, you need to be involved and be comfortable and confident enough to speak-up at the right time to make sure there is no abortive work or additional cost that could have been avoided. You do not need to be a project manager by trade, just really understand what you want and be able to communicate this clearly. As mentioned, the Central London Lofts team are extremely transparent and are happy to walk their clients through things.
Also, make sure you understand the level of finish you will be getting at the end of the project. We opted to have our own decorator do the finishing, as he has been working through the whole house for us, and have Central London Lofts just do the build so we were fully aware of what extra was needed to get the space ready for painting etc. If you chose this option, keep in mind that there will be a lot of preparation work before you can put your chosen colour of paint on the freshly plastered walls or gloss on the woodwork. The build is the build, finishing is a completely different beast.
Of course, the test of time is yet to be determined but the build seems solid with no creaking or leaks. The base project was brought in on budget, with the only addition being a change of the number of spot lights we wanted and we had to replace the roof tiles, which we were advised on and shown where the issues were. Again, fully transparent so we could make an informed decision – the roof hadn’t been touched in 30 years so we assumed this would be the case anyway and the cost was very reasonable. So, we are comfortable with what we have and believe that Renatas and his team will assist should the need to call arise.
