Paul and his team at Hawksmoor Construction have just finished a loft conversion and complete refurbishment of our Victorian terrace house. Paul was constantly calm, reassuring and professional and a real pleasure to work with. His team are a credit to him. Even our neighbours commented on how polite and accommodating they were! We were very pleased with the results Paul and his team were able to deliver for us. We engaged Hawksmoor to carry out a refurbishment of our whole house and kitchen / dining extension after seeing some of Paul's other work and hearing good things from friends. A few early issued cropped up with the architect's drawings but Paul came up with some really good design ideas to get around these and which worked well in the finished project. Our original scope of work had to be scaled back somewhat as we were overly optimistic about what our budget could achieve to begin with but again, Paul was always really helpful in coming up with practical solutions which allowed us to finish most of what we wanted to do within our budget. Hawksmoor have since been back after the project finished to fix a couple of bits and pieces so we are pleased with the after-service care as well. Overall, we'd be happy to recommend Hawksmoor to anyone!

The Hawksmoor team - what can I say - they were simply a joy to have around. Considering 2020 has been one of the weirdest years anyway - that the team were able to complete the project on time and to a high standard has been nothing short of amazing. Our ground floor renovation and extension has exceeded our young family's expectations, we're so happy that we invested in the project. The on-site team were hard-working, polite (no swearing or loud music), dressed professionally and just generally so lovely that we quite miss having them around everyday! We were able to live on site for the latter half of the project, but even before that, the team left the site, our drive and pavement clean and tidy every day. The weekly site visits meant that we were able to ask any questions as the project progressed and be involved in the development of solutions and work-arounds to the inevitable surprises that came up along the way. The experience that Paul and team have is so reassuringly apparent - it was always exciting to see things go from on-site brainstorming sessions to completion. Would recommend in a heartbeat!

Paul and the Hawksmoor Team have just completed a fantastic loft conversion and renovation of our Wandsworth Victorian home & we are thrilled with the results. Throughout, the team have been an absolute delight to work with, communication has always been top notch and open, the quality of the finish and final result is impressive and beautiful. Going into this build with a toddler and a new baby on the way, both working full time, I was very apprehensive and expected many more hurdles than the relatively few mini humps we encountered. This is testament to Paul's proactive approach and high standards and the trust he has in his team. Now we are back home with the new addition to the family, we could not be more delighted with the work carried out and would heartily recommend Hawksmoor.

Hawksmoor have helped us to create exactly the new home that we wanted. We encountered plenty of challenges in our ‘ground up’ build, but Paul and his lovely team rose to the task and navigated us through many engineering and technical issues. We demanded a very high standard of finish and we have not been disappointed – Paul works with millimetre precision and has amassed a team of highly skilled craftsmen. Each member of the team takes an obvious pride in his work and justifiably so. We have really appreciated Hawksmoor’s transparency on costs and the fact that they did not leave the site until the job was done – almost on time (and only late because of unforeseen problems and not because of their failure to get on with the job in hand). Paul always discussed in advance any variations or obstacles encountered, with the result that we ended the project almost exactly on budget. We are delighted with the end product.

After a successful planning application we had been looking for a builder we could trust for almost 2 years but first impressions were always a let down. We were at the point of giving up when our architect introduced us to Paul Fitzgerald. From the very first telephone conversation Paul was responsive, proactive and understanding. Paul was brilliant at taking the stress out of dealing with structural engineers, building control issues and always made us feel we were in very safe hands, and he and his team came up with a couple of design tweaks that took the refurbishment up a notch.
