D. P.We had a loft extension built by More Space, and the process was easy from beginning to end. We didn't have to worry about any of the paperwork which More Space took care of from planning permission all the way through to the final sign off.
We were given Tyson and his team for the loft conversion build. It was clear that they are well experienced in this type of development and kicked off with speed and efficiency. They were always around for us to ask any questions and always engaged us when there was a decision to make.
Our project was slightly delayed, but this was as a result of us requiring extras, such as windows at the back of the house which held us back due to delays in production in Germany.
Overall the experience has been a positive one, and although there are a few issues that need resolving we are confident that these will be taken care of by More Space and Tyson.

B. A.Morespace did a rear and side extension project for us in 2021, managed by Ben Styles and built by Biku. Biku and his team are good builders and MoreSpace were professional in managing the project timeline, build quality, providing advice and resolving any disputes that arose.
Morespace team supported us through out the project, starting with planning permission, structural drawings, party wall, to completion certificates. Ben’s advice and experience was valuable in making decisions and liaising with 3rd party suppliers too.
We’d use Morespace again for a similar project, as they made the overall experience smooth. Building projects are never entirely free of stress, but given this was our first undertaking of a project this size, Morespace provided us much needed support, were always available and willing to answer any questions and provided broadly a fair estimate of costs at the start to manage overall budgeting.

V. D.There are usually dozens of moving parts to a home improvement project and it can be bewildering, but MoreSpace offer a great single stop solution. You don't have to worry much about the various stages from concept through to build and completion as they will be your point of reference.
Our single storey rear extension went well - delivered on schedule and on budget despite the well documented inflation and supply problems for builders in 2021. Our project manager Ben Styles was superb always on hand to make sure things were on track, help resolve snags and offer advice., We liked how the cost breakdown was kept simple and made complete sense from our point of view, whereas some other quotes we solicited had us scratching our head at what they do and don't include. Our builder Ilie was also very professional and obviously takes a lot of pride him the quality of his work.
All in all, we are delighted with how things went and would definitely recommend them to our friends.

With the help of Ben Styles ,MoreSpace submitted a design for us for planning permission. The most important thing for us was the excellent input from Ben and his proactive and professional advice throughout. He acted not so much as a “salesman” for MoreSpace as a “consultant” for us , with fully transparent costings and estimates to help us decide whether or not to go ahead with the project. He always responded to queries speedily and fully. He provided his costings to us under great time-pressure from us and included all the details and options we required for an informed decision. He always returned phone calls or emails quickly and exuded expertise and experience in the way he communicated with us.

What you get with MoreSpace is also control and management. On time, on budget and what we asked for. Everything is professional and clear. That's not to say that you should expect to abdicate responsibility and ”fire and forget”. What you do get is a partner to take a massive load off and keep things on track. What you don't have is ”well it took us longer so it is going to cost you more”, ”got to come offsite for a week as we've got a rushed job” or even the beloved ”but I thought you only you wanted the wall there”. C. T.I am a chartered Structural Engineer. I visited one of Morespaces sites today. It was a basement under construction, the concrete was well placed and the temporary propping was all in place.

C. C.We have just completed a side return extension with MoreSpace. We worked with Rafal Czak the builder and the project manager was Richie Duncan. We were extremely happy with the end result. The project was delivered ahead of schedule (in 8 weeks!) and to an extremely high standard. We would definitely work with them again - the price was competitive, and they appear to be able to produce the projects in significantly shorter period of time than other builders - I think this is because you get a dedicated builder who is working with you onsite Monday to Saturday. Rafal went way beyond what we could have expected and nothing was ever too much trouble. He was much more competitive than other tradesmen who quoted for work, and Rafal worked to also worked to a much higher standard. I felt he treated our house as if it were his own.
W. W.Very impressed with More Space. Choosing a contractor and or architect is very difficult. More Space removed the stress, taking us through planning with their in house team and managing the project.
Richie was extremely helpful from start to finish, being a structural engineer set him apart from several competitors and his advice at times no doubt saved us additional professional costs . He was very communicative and ultimately the loft extension we now have is amazing and we'd use More space again in a heartbeat!

The entire process was excellent, but three things deserve highlighting:
1. MoreSpace's Ben Styles and the contractor Ivan Melex and his team were very client orientated. They ensured our ideas, concerns and uncertainties were addressed. They actively helped achieve the outcomes we wanted.
2. The project was delivered on time and on budget to a high standard, with weekly site meetings, good cost monitoring and clear explanations for any changes of plan.
3. We lived on site for a major part of the project and MoreSpace tried to make this as tolerable as possible in terms of temporary facilities, connected services, security and tidying the site up each day

We were firstly consulted by Stuart Ellerby who gave us a thorough overview of what was involved in a loft extension and who is responsible for what during the project. His knowledge was first class and he spoke in layman’s terms and not jargon which we found very engaging and brought it to life. Once we agreed on the project, Stuart also kept in touch throughout with regular site visits and was also super responsive when we raised any questions. His aftercare has also been great.
The team who built our loft were insane. The team was led by Jake and everyone in his team were super friendly and accommodating, whether it was popping up for a sneak peek on progress, asking any questions or looking to make slight adjustments. We got a good feeling from the sales representative Ben who has a nice manner and is someone we felt we could trust plus the price is competitive and the service offered professional. We are not disappointed. Ben became our project manager and the team allocated led by Louie. It is a slick operation and everything is checked and monitored regularly. Payments are done by stage payments which are only requested when authorized by the site inspector who visits weekly. We are very happy with the work done by Louie and his team, Louie is very helpful and a pleasure to work with and the team work is of a high standard. We lived on site during the works and building work is never easy particularly in the winter but the guys were considerate which helped. There were weekly meetings with Ben and Louie to discuss progress and what the next steps were. Any snags were quickly resolved. We had a few extras done which were also carried out professionally. MoreSpace are very good with paperwork and certification and guarantees. They have been around for many years and will be around for many years more. They did our loft room 20 years ago, our kitchen extension 10 years ago and added a new room for our office 8 years ago and delivered all projects on-time and within budget. H. M.We hired More Space after we’d had a separate architect draw up plans, and we went through the planning process with them not More Space. We chose More Space having looked at a number of other firms (small local firm seemed great but was more pricey; another big london-wide firm was extortionate; a prefab company was a disaster waiting to happen; and we’d seen other neighbours have other horror stories). We came across More Space because neighbours had used them. Richie the project manager is affable and self-deprecating and straight up about things without laying on the salesman patter. We requested Gabi as the builder because our neighbours had used him and thought him good. So while we can’t speak for other builders More Space use, we can say Gabi is an excellent builder. He and his two guys were friendly, reliable, hardworking and knew what they were doing. They can build lofts with their eyes closed. They completed the main construction in five weeks but they were disappointed they didn’t do it in four. There was plenty of opportunity to agree changes on site and Gabi and Richie would suggest other approaches, make pragmatic and aesthetic suggestions that we were free to accept or reject. We were free to choose whichever other tradesmen we wanted and found our own plumber for moving the boiler. This did involve a small amount more project management on our part, but was fine. Gabi was able to put us in touch with joiners and decorators who were all very good. We were able to stay in our house throughout with minimal disruption. The whole thing was a very good experience, we’re very pleased with the result and we recommend them highly.
s. o.Ten years ago MoreSpace did our loft conversion and it still looks good today so we were very happy to trust them this year with our side return extension. The additional complexity this time around: we were living overseas so needed somebody comfortable managing remotely.
Stuart Braid our project manager was outstanding. We wanted a full open plan design from the front to back garden as well as the side return extension. He was able to help us navigate building regulations and fire code to ensure we got the design we wanted while being compliant with all regulations.
We were extremely happy with our contractor Louie Kasa : on time, made suggestions along the way and had a can do attitude. He is running a very efficient crew.
Stuart and Louie were also able to put us in touch with suppliers when we needed recommendations. I was only on site for 10 days and was able to pick kitchen, bathroom, floors, French doors and windows, decorator from their recommended suppliers which made it very efficient for me. I am sure they would have been happy working with other suppliers but this made the integration and project management easier in my circumstances and saved me a lot of research time.
So thanks to Stuart and Louie we managed to get the whole project on time and on budget, managing it from overseas through Whats app. Thank you !

In terms of price MoreSpace were competitive but the reason we went with them was they were far more creative about what could be achieved in our house and it's slightly unusual size and layout. We also had the opportunity to see some of their finished projects before we went ahead, which gave us confidence in their workmanship.
Stuart Ellerby was very good at suggesting ideas at the initial planning stage. Our designated builder Gabriel and his team were excellent. Gabriel really takes pride in his work and achieving a high spec. The whole process went very smoothly and was finished on schedule.
Communication was very good through out, we went on holiday during the build and we were kept up to date with progress and photos via WhatsApp.
The only thing I would have wanted to do differently was discuss plumbing earlier. I felt I would have liked longer to consider the options available to us before needing to make a final decision.
I would not hesitate to recommend MoreSpace and we're delighted with our finished loft bedroom and bathroom.
R. S. P.My family and I was planning on getting our loft converted into a master bedroom and en-suite, after continuous research and browsing I had come across More Space. I have to say I am so grateful to have contacted More Space. We had an amazing project manager in Ben Styles who catered to our needs and was approachable at any given time. More Space were amazing they did all the drawings, architectural and planning permissions with their in house team and went to our local council for approval. We wanted a nice big master bedroom with an en suite and Ben Styles and his team didn’t disappoint us. The loft is really big adding the en suite. More Space also refurbished our first floor bathroom and made it into a more modern and style looking bathroom, replaced all bedroom doors to match the ones we had in the loft and put in new wired smoke alarms around the house to meet all regulations and making a new banister on our first floor stair case to match the loft staircase. We was given a lead time of 4 weeks for the loft conversion and first floor refurbishments and More Space didn’t disappoint they was on schedule with the work starting from 2nd September and finishing on 2nd October. My family and I will be getting our side extension and kitchen extension made from More Space (Ben Styles) next year. As a follow up to this review, I just want to make an important often overlooked point when considering a firm to go with and that is with regard to the aftercare support that Morespace and Ben have provided. Ben has continued to field my calls and queries with regard to questions raised by neighbours. On all occasions Ben has come back to the property promptly, engaged with my neighbours and where any solutions were required has managed to provide an outcome that has been agreed by all parties. The knowledge and authority that Ben provides has been much appreciated, it has also very reassuring to know that if a question is raised I can get back to people and resolve these issues quickly.
A. M.Very happy with our lower ground extension. A hugely complex project with 4 floors of Victorian structure above us, load bearing walls being removed, working through the winter months, and 10 neighbours to engage with. Stuart Ellerby, our project mgr, and Adam, our builder guided us through each stage and advised on options when new challenges emerged.
They sorted the issues from our original architect whose work was riddled with problems. For someone with no prior experience in construction, it was a huge relief to work with such patient experts. The project was finished ahead of time and to budget. A few small finishing touches remain to be done, but will have these sorted shortly too.
I recommend using MoreSpace from the outset- with their architects, structural engineer and Building Control teams. Makes it smoother and cheaper.

Our builders, Alin and his team were professional, hard-working, efficient and completed the build to a high standard. The communication with Alin was really good we knew what was going on, when and why which is important when you are out at work all day.
They also had to contend with the November/December weather which didn’t faze them at all.
Richie was our morespace consultant and he was available as we needed and was key to the initial stages of the process.
Most importantly we got what we wanted and it is far better than we were expecting. It’s perfect.

Pawel, Emil and Wiesiek worked very hard on our building project and were conscientious to our specific needs. Pawel made sure that the building works were done to the standards of building control. The Local Authority Building Control provided the approvals, which were reassuring and good testament of their building standards. Even though there were challenges, as can be expected with any building project, Pawel was pro-active in bringing about solutions and all our issues were resolved promptly.
Further to the building works, the team that worked on subsequent fittings (Mario for electrical works, Tomas for plastering) did a great job. Altogether, the team has gone the extra mile to make sure our project was finished to our satisfaction.

There was always someone at the end of a phone, all my questions answered on the same day and no 'random days off' during the build. All the problems encountered during the build were sorted with no fuss. I would recommend without hesitation.
J. T.Absolutely first class in respect of time, cost and quality. Also really nice guys to deal with
Time - main build finished exactly on schedule, which meant we were watertight for Christmas. Finishing things off has dragged on a bit, but not their fault at all - mostly down to other suppliers. Only thing MS could have done differently was maybe use a block and beam floor so we didn't have to wait 6 weeks for concrete floor to cure. Would probably be extra £ but I would have liked the option
Cost - they weren't the cheapest, but very far from the most expensive. If we had shopped around we could maybe have saved 10% (or spent 50% more) but every penny paid to them was worth it. Contract a bit skimpy in terms of number of sockets and light points so check that or you will pay for extras, and also make clear what they have included for making good where old rooms are joined to the new build.
Quality - they are coming round tomorrow to look at final snags. I have a list of < 10 things, and this includes a loose screw in a door handle that I can't tighten. The others are not much more serious and are all odd things that got missed rather than anything that has been done badly.
It wasn't completely trouble free - it was too long and complex to expect that - but a lot less painful than it could have been. There was the odd bump in the road, mostly due to over an zealous planning department or building inspector rather than MS, and when these happened MS dealt with issues quickly. A lot of people will tell you that so much depends on the actual crew that are assigned to do the work, but then they will also tell you they had an excellent crew so looks like they are all ok. We had Louie Kasa and his team and they were awesome, Stuart Ellerby also top notch. Thanks Guys!

C. T.I would not recommend the company. We bought a house for which they did the kitchen extension the previous year. The first problems was that they had put in the boiler flue against building code (after self certifying) and we subsequently failed a gas safety check. It was around the time the warranty expired and so they came and fixed it (our view is that if they breached building code, they should have fixed it anyway!). The second problem was the leaking skylight a couple of months later, which they refused to fix for free although the materials used had a 15 yr warranty on them. The foreman also admitted that it was unusual for it to leak so soon after build, which lead me to believe it was a problem with the craftsmanship. I would just find another company for an extension.
