Ben’s meticulous attention to detail and can do attitude meant I felt totally comfortable to be away on holiday during a key week of the works. We would highly recommend Trafford Builders and will be using them again for any future building projects.

We invited them to quote for a kitchen remodel, and they made lots of valuable suggestions to our original idea which we ended up going with and are extremely happy with the results! Our space feels so much more open and bright now and we are delighted with the quality of the work. They were very communicative, reliable and trustworthy which took the stress out of what we expected to be a very stressful few weeks without a kitchen or access to the back of our house. They also made excellent recommendations for other trades such as electrician, plumber and plasterer that we chose to go with, that we are very happy with. The build finished in budget and on time, and we can’t recommend Trafford Builders for their friendliness, attention to detail, and quality of work enough. We will be inviting them back for any future building work we do!

We had the wall between our kitchen and dining room knocked through, new kitchen, downstairs toilet built and an attached outbuilding/utility room turned into a lovely garden room as well as other bits and pieces. The project took about 3 months and Ben and the gang kept us updated throughout. They were communicative, polite, considerate, punctual, tidy and all round good people. We lived in our house throughout which they helped to make as easy as possible despite the upheaval and made the whole process stress free. I felt my house was a capable pair of hands.

L. H.We used Trafford Builders in to help create an open plan kitchen and downstairs loo in October 2021. Ben was great, putting up with our many questions and coming up with solutions. Despite it being in the midst of the spiralling material costs, they were very mindful of our budget and helped find ways to maximise it. The team they work with are also fab - punctual, polite and reliable. We were working at home throughout the build and they were really considerate, letting us know if there was going to be noisy work etc. We wouldn’t think of using anyone else to do work on the house!

H.We used Trafford Builders last year to convert our cellar and we were so pleased to have them back this year to knock through between our kitchen and dining room to create an amazing space at the back of our house with lovely views and access to our garden through bi-fold doors. Ben is an absolute pleasure to deal with and provides guidance the whole way through the process, from building control through to design, and brings in such a range of brilliant sub-contractors too.
We genuinely really enjoy having the Trafford Builders team working on our house, not just for their incredible skills but also because they're just fab to have around. If we plan any more building work we wouldn't hesitate in using them again
N. B.We wanted to combine our kitchen and dining room, the job involved installing three supporting RSJ's, plastering and making good. Trafford Builders were competitive on price and listened to our requirements. We went with them because they were good communicators and understood what we wanted. On site they were prompt, friendly, clean and very tidy. We've got two young children who enjoyed having the team in our house every day for two weeks. The work was completed to a high standard and they even helped and advised on issues that were outside of the original agreement. Overall an excellent job done by nice people. We would highly recommend Trafford Builders and would use them again.
M. R.Ben and the team at Trafford Builders completed a full back to brick refurb on my house in 2019/20. The work included tanking the basement, removing internal walls & installing RSJs to create an open plan space, re-plastering and replacing all glazing throughout the house.
As well as doing all the structural and restoration work Ben project managed the entire process co-ordinating an army of specialist trades, an architect and building control. It was a big project and I wouldn’t have been able to bring it all together myself. When a specialist was required Ben recommended someone and all the his recommendations were great.
Ben was honest and transparent about the costs at the start and stayed on budget throughout the build. The project went over the initial time frame by a few weeks only due to the first Covid lockdown.
Ben, Dave and Col are articulate and considerate and communicated clearly to me in laymen's terms what was happening at every stage of the project. You won’t meet a nicer bunch of lads.
I am delighted with the results of the refurb and I can’t recommend Trafford builders highly enough!

When we started looking for someone to remove an internal wall last year to create a kitchen/diner, we met many builders and Ben stood out from the first meeting. He spent a lot of time discussing it and advising us and we really felt he would be invested in the project, even if it was a smaller project for them.
Even though we had to wait months for Trafford Builders to become available we knew this was a good sign (!) and it was well worth the wait.
Our worked kicked off in January this year and the team made it as easy as possible. All the team were so informative, efficient and tidy. Big shout out to Matt the joiner!

B. H.Ben and all the the team from Trafford Builders did an amazing job converting our cellar into an amazing basement space. We needed some pretty extensive works doing including digging out of a new cellar chamber, underpinning a party wall and removal of chamber walls. The team were always on time and quite possibly the cleanest builders I've ever dealt with and a pleasure to have around! Ben has a great network of other trades such as electricians, plumbers and decorators that were also great to deal with which made the whole process much easier, particularly as it was all done during a pandemic!

L. T.Trafford Builders are without doubt the best builders in south manchester. We recently had some building work and renovations carried out by them on our Victorian semi-detached house. I always knew that I wanted them for the job as they shared our creative vision and had the relevant experience in period property conversions. You’ll probably have a wait in terms of availability but that speaks for itself and it will definitely be worth it to guarantee you have the best contractor for the job. They were also really flexible working around the timescales of our other contractors as the production of materials and supply chain is so challenging currently. Overall, Trafford Builders are well managed and organised, the team are super friendly, the price point is fair and they support you throughout with their knowledge and expertise. I am already planning the next project that I will want them to be involved with. Can’t recommend them enough!

R.We used Trafford Builders to renovate the downstairs of our house from removing load bearing walls, installing an RSJ, internal walls, doors, plastering, levelling the floor etc. They were incredibly professional throughout and communicated with us at all stages. B.Ben, Dave and team did a fantastic job with our 1930s semi creating one large back room with doors into the garden, and creating a large bathroom from a separate toilet and bathroom. They were really straightforward to work with and came up with some great ideas for things we hadn’t thought of to make the best of the space. Ben has a great eye for design and I enjoyed getting his view on tiles, colours and so on. It made a big difference to have a team who cared about the final result. We were living in the house whilst the work was being done and the team were really respectful leaving everything as tidy as possible at the end of the day. Definitely recommend!

Communication was great with us so we always knew what was happening with the work, time frames as well as problems that we came across as part of the work.
There were quite a few problems as we lived in an old house so you never know what you are going to unearth or come across. What was really helpful is that there were always options presented to us around work rounds so we could agree way forward and knew what this then meant to us and the project.
All communications with planning and building inspections where managed by Trafford builders so we didn't need to do any of this chasing with the local authority. Also gratefully appreciated.

We’d heard stories of some builders that deliver great quotes that turn into an expensive final bill but I’m happy to say the price we were quoted by Trafford Builders was the one we paid at the end.

They did an excellent job including moving around the plugs and light switches, replastering and all at our convenience as we have young children. They also made an attractive feature for us in the chimney breast where an old gas heated had been. Extremely reliable and trustworthy which took all the stress out. C. S.Trafford Builders carried out some quite extensive structural changes for us, as a part of the renovation of our 3 bed terraced house in Stretford. This included the complete removal of one internal wall and creation of an opening in another, addition of a downstairs cloakroom toilet, and incorporation of the rear outhouse/coal store into the kitchen to extend the space and allow it to be opened up to the yard at the rear. This work was carried out to a high standard meeting all building regulations, and we are very pleased with the result.

He’s good at his job and is generally busy enough that I reckon he’s no need to over-sell or stretch-out a job.
He’s even unusually good at socially distancing.
M. S.We wanted to create more space in our kitchen and bathroom by removing a chimney breast that went up through both rooms. Once the chimney breast was out I wanted to reposition the kitchen window in order to take advantage of the lovely green view behind our house.
Ben and Dave uncovered a few stumbling blocks after peeling back the skin on the house, but they figured out different ways to achieve the original plan. The end result is great, we’re very happy with the extra room we’ve gained and the kitchen makes so much more sense now. The guys were easy to get on with and hard working, I’ve already recommended them to lots of friends.
