It’s my fathers 87th birthday and I had a photo of his mother at the same age that I wanted to use for a unique birthday card. I decided to use Redcliffe Imaging after searching online as others I came across before, either had a minimum order level or their design tools were confusing. I’m glad that I did, as an excellent quality card arrived in perfect condition within three days, and for less than £4. Some will charge that just for delivery. Redcliffe Imaging are worth 5 stars all day long. I’ll definitely be using them again.

It was my first order of some cards from Redcliffe. I had know previous knowledge of their work other than shown on the site. They have an app that allows you to design your own cards through to placing an order. More or less idiot proof as I managed to set up my pastel drawings ready for printing. Order duly placed. Lead in time seems a tad long. I was informed of dispatch on a Monday and they arrived the next day first class post. Excellent job of printing, very pleased with the outcome.

Redcliffe Imaging, a.k.a. custom-printed-cards.co.uk give a great service and are NICE PEOPLE - yes, you can actually phone them and talk to them if you need to and not only that but THEY HELP YOU! Their design-you-own cards system works quite well once you get the hang of it and is easy enough to use. I like the fact that you can pay a little more and get completely unbranded cards without their logo which - I think - is more stylish and personal. The only small improvement I'd make - though not important and they still get 5-stars without - would be the ability to upload your own graphic for the WHOLE of the back of the card and not just in the little box in the middle. :D

I love the fact that I can talk to someone if there's ever an issue, and if they feel that the digital copy isn't quite right (ie too light or too dark) they'll flag it up so it can be rectified before print. Many print companies do minimum runs. I like the fact that with Redcliffe, the minimum order is just one card and it gets cheaper the more you have printed. The quality of the cards is professional with a good choice of card styles. I found the process of uploading photos very simple and intuitive. Your cards are all archived which makes second runs very easy to do. The team are very responsive. I spent several hours looking for a printing company that would produce cards, using my photographs. Redcliffe Imaging Ltd were the only company that would accept a minimum of one card order. They also accept as many designs as you would like to submit. The software used to upload your photo, greeting etc is very simple and quick to use. The company are also very quick to respond to any queries (even out of hours). The quality of the cards, envelopes and acetate covers are all excellent and the print quality is also exceptional. I have just completed a second order of cards to sell locally from Redcliffe greeting cards service. The website is pretty easy to use and I know from experience with other companies, that even though this element of do it yourself design is a bit time consuming (if you have a few designs to do) it means that the cards are much more affordable and also gives you the opportunity to play with the image a bit and make sure it is just right. The order page also prompts you to order envelopes and bags, with a biodegradable option. My order arrived really quickly, and the cards looked amazing. The feel of the card is substantial and high quality, and the colours of the print were actually better than they had looked in my screen. I also know from my first order, that if I have any questions, they are really lovely on the phone. I've used Redcliffe for a number of years for producing greetings cards from JPEGS of my paintings. They always come back promptly and look superb. They also have an excellent archive which means you can reorder with the minimum of fuss if you need to top up at and time. Just one small suggestion - could the reorder numbering be made a little less complex? At present (in theory) they need 29 numbers , although in practice, if you don't have all the numbers, there's seems to be no difficulty identifying the required images. But that's only a minor blip in an otherwise excellent and highly recommended service.

Good quality printing on good quality paper. If you are doing the bled version of image, be careful to position correctly as wrong bit could be cropped. You can't stretch an image. Also colour wasn't good on one image. Entering text is limited in style and fiddly but as overall quality is so good I put up with the fiddle. Hoping the text aspect can be improved in time. A lot of my text came out too large at first as difficult to judge, so if you want a large amount of same image/text I suggest you get one test print done, then do a re-order when you are happy with image colour and text. Mostly I have been happy with what I've received.

So far so brilliant. I'm new to being an artist and getting greetings cards printed. I quickly got the hang of this. The software feels clucky at first but it actually keeps one within various boundaries which mean the finished product looks great. I have not used the re-order button yet because I'm still polishing my products text. I recommend ordering a small amount to begin with to makes sure you haven't made any costly errors. I am pleased to use a UK printer I like knowing that the paper is made from a sustainable source. I'm pleased there is a biodegradable sleeve option. I did a big order yesterday for showing a retail outlet on Saturday, (they wish to stock my cards exclusively in Cowes on the Isle of Wight), and to my happy surprise the postal cost did not rise. The quality is good, the colours are true. I recommend playing about with numbers in your order and watch in happy anticipation as the prices go down as you add more designs to the basket. The only feedback I would give would be that having a more prominent 'save this design' button would be really helpful. I'll use Redcliff from here on because the price is good, there is no set up fee(which my local printer wanted to charge) there is a very quick turnaround, and the postage is reasonable and predictable. Everyone who has received any of my cards printed with Redcliffe comment on how high a quality they are, and how they can never find anything so good in their local card shops. They always respond within minutes to any email queries, whether that be that I messed up the design, or a question about the process. A really friendly team who always recognise you when visit, and if there are any issues they'll give you a ring to talk it out. I normally avoid giving reviews, good or bad, for products and services I have purchased. I just don't have time to write them all! But I am making an exception in this case. I am a semi-professional photographer and I first used Redcliffe Imaging to print some greetings cards for a client about 15 months ago and they did a great job. But until recently I had no idea they also offered a fine art print service. I have always used Loxley Colour for my previous work and I will still use them as they are excellent but Redcliffe Imaging may just be in danger of getting more of my future art print work. Why? Because they have a wider choice of fabulous giclée papers to choose from than Loxley (and most other labs), their work so far seems to match very closely to what I see on my (calibrated) screen, their speed of delivery is amazing and their pricing is competitive. I have just received a pack of twenty 14" x 10" prints on various papers within 3 days of order and I am over the moon with the qulity of 19 of them (one was disappointing only because of MY error in preparing the file for print). So I would heartily recommend Redcliffe if you'd like choice, quality & speed. They provide it all.
