Friendly staff and slick process. Give you helpful guidance on arrival and staff were on hand for any queries while on site.

As long as you area an East Dunbartonshire resident, it's great. Very helpful staff. My only gripe is they don't recognise a bus pass with an East Dunbartonshire logo on it as suitable proof. If you don't have a photocard licence, the bus pass plus something official with your name and address on it does seem to be acceptable. You must book online or by phone in advance. I haven't found any problem getting a slot when booking half an hour in advance. If you are bringing paper and cardboard, they should be separated.

On arrival there was a sign saying to drop rubbish you have to book using the Internet, having traveled to there I went in and told the attendant I only had an old sun lounger, he was good enough to let me drop it in a skip. Need to book the next time!

I think the booking service is a great addition, as it means you no longer have to queue on busy road to gain access to the centre. The staff have always been polite and courteous to me and my family. The only slight issue I had with booking system is you need to add a town in the address section, before you can confirm your booking.

This is a good recycling centre widely used by the community, when I come here I usually bring the grandchildren to teach them the importance of recycling everything. Centre can be very busy at times especially the weekend.with friendly helpful staff in attendance

Great staff. Very quick turn a round of skips. Went three times today. Everytime the skip had been emptied. And when I was there the first two time's, the skips contents were compressed, to allow it to be filled more. Top class facility and employees. The opening times may be a little strange to some folks. I arrived at 15:40 gained entry, didn't leave until 16:17.the bloke who was operating the stop go sign even waved me goodbye. At least It wasn't raining, was informed that the pandemic left them short on workers. Didn't really notice. Even managed to give away a unused skate board to some woman for one of her grandkids, and a alloy framed, plastic wheeled Bmx bike. Both of them asked me If they could take them. I was in my workclothes and had a hi-vis on. But I said yes. Now that's community recycling.

Made two visits to Mavis Bank Recycling Centre on 4 October 2020. The facility was extremely busy, to the extent that vehicles were queuing along the access road, and onto the narrow road which passes the centre. Both aspects of queuing were very efficiently dealt with by staff of East Dunbartonshire Council who had been deployed there. Traffic queuing on the actual road was managed by marshals using Stop/Go boards, and traffic using the access road to the facility was similarly organised by marshals deployed at pinch points. All marshals were on top of the job, and everything ran smoothly, despite the pressure on the facility on that day. At the actual disposal point, the staff were, as ever, courteous and efficient, moving people smoothly through the site. Good facility, operated by courteous and professional staff. Well done to all concerned!

Great. Have specific times to bring in a van, and allowed us to dump old sofas and beds. Really bulky items. Watch the opening times, as they have Winter & Summer times, and they differ quite a bit.
