My little girl first started with Dilek when she had turned 2 and was wearing a nappy for her first ever show, Alice in Wonderland,. Dilek trusted that she would rise to the occasion and so she did. Dilek expects the best from her students and consequently she produces great things. There is a positive atmosphere at the school and my child has made lifelong friends there.The shows are wonderful and of such a high standard. .Dilek has been a constant presence in my daughter’s life , no more importantly than during both Lockdowns when Dilek’s commitment, energy and kindness was a weekly joy in her life. Linda and Dilek are wonderful, kind, patient but exacting teachers and we are hugely fortunate to have such a ballet school in Waterloo!

Both of our girls atten Dilek's school of dance and love it. As well as learning ballet they also enjoy the variation of classes available to them. They especially love the musical Jazz classes. Dilek is able to bring together many dancers to inspire the children with different dance techniques.

I met Dilek at CityLit where I used to take adult ballet classes. Unfortunately everything collapsed with the lockdowns. The only person who didn't was Dilek. She organised fantastic zoom classes. They were the highlight of this year and a half lockdown. As soon as we were able to return to classes in person I joined Dilek's School of Dance. I love every minute of every class. I have learnt so much about my own body, the PBT classes are a wonderful complement to the ballet classes. My balance and posture as well as muscle tone have improved, as has my musicality. We have even learnt some ballet mime and I have discovered a new language. Now when I watch a ballet my experience is 100 times richer. The dedication and enthusiasm of Dilek and her teachers are simply outstanding.

My daughter has been learning ballet with Dilek since she was 4 years old. You will see from all the other rave reviews that Dilek runs a caring, passionate, enthusiastic and simply excellent school. Dilek and the team are able to deliver lessons that are enjoyable and fun while imparting aspects of the discipline of ballet which are so important and so rare to find in other areas of life and school. These skills are so useful and can help with things like organisation, presentation and physical posture that will help enrich the rest of one’s life. My daughter loves the whole team. She has successfully completed ballet exams under their guidance. Dilek is always careful to make sure the dancers are completely ready for the exam so they don’t feel anxious about performing in this situation. I feel lucky to have found such a good teacher and recommend the school to anyone looking to explore the world of ballet.

My eldest daughter who's now 11 started lessons with Dilek when she was four and three years later, her younger sister Ella joined too. They both love their classes with Dilek and her team so much that my eldest travels all the way from her new school in Brockley just to attend her class on a Wednesday eve in Waterloo. Last year's show the school produced was truly wonderful with amazing choreography and costumes. The girls are now working towards their next grade exam this summer. Dilek and her team are great teachers whom the girls really like and respect. I highly recommend this ballet school.

My daughter has been dancing with Dilek for nearly nine years and has three distinctions in her RAD exams. My daughter loves the shows that are put on every other year or so, with lovely costumes and a real theater. All the staff are really nice, and have been great through the lockdowns.

My daughter started out as a tiny dancer at 2 years old with Dilek and her team. She is now 11 and a beautiful dancer due to the hard work, skill and expertise of everyone at DT Dance. Dilek and her team have a real passion for ballet which they bring to every class they teach. They strive for everyone to dance to the best of their ability with firm, but fun classes. My daughter enjoys her weekly classes, but also loves the additional Masterclasses Dilek organises with very skilled and well-respected dancers. This has helped her dance skills develop immensely. Not only has my daughter found a life-long love of dancing with DT Dance, but she has also made life-long friends in the classes. I recommend her classes to all who ask.

Dilek has taught my daughter since she was an enthusiastic/shy three year old, and me since I was an awkward/keen 47 year old with zero dance experience. We both get a great deal from her and her teachers, who show boundless patience, professionalism and give focused tuition. The team is dedicated and build a lovely sense of community. Miss Dilek is a wonderful teacher - firm but fun. My girls have learnt so much over the last few years and I'm endlessly impressed with their posture, they carry into daily life. The school put on a performance every two years, each one more wonderful and professional than the last. Dilek and the other teachers prepare the children well for the RAD exams and ensure the whole experience is enjoyable.
