Tango Garden is THE place to dance Argentine Tango in London on a Saturday afternoon. Maral and Mariano are superb, empathetic teachers who take genuine pride in growing their students into dancers, and the space they have created at Tango Garden is a true reflection of their warm, friendly, and approachable personalities.
Mariano's choice of music is traditional yet quirky, the cakes (baked by Mariano himself, but also at times brought in by dancers) are fabulous, and the atmosphere genuinely welcoming.
My personal all round favourite - especially in the summer when the sunlight comes in through the windows!

Tango Garden is a great place to learn and dance social Argentine Tango. The space is lovely, with wood floors, lots of windows and right next to a park. What makes Tango Garden a great place though are the Hosts/Teachers, Maral and Mariano. Their classes are not only very good for beginners and intermediate dancers but the environment they have established is welcoming and non threatening. After the classes there is a practica from 4-7 with a great selection of tea, coffee, cool drinks and even sangria! There is also a selection of cakes (homemade by Mariano!) and other snacks; always delicious.
The practica attracts a wide range of people and levels, you have beginners who sometimes practice in a small practice area next to the dance floor and intermediate and advanced dancers all dancing together. Young and old, new and old timers all come to have a nice Saturday afternoon and dance a bit of Tango. Truly among the friendliest practicas I've been to.
Come for quality classes, stay for a lively social scene. :)

Tango Garden is a really nice friendly place which will definitely help you learn lots about the best dance ever, and put a big smile on your face. A lovely sunny hall, a good floor, friendly faces and tea and cakes every week. What more could you want?

Maral and Mariano have created something very special with Tango Garden.
As two of London's best teachers they have a very professional, caring, hands on approach to their classes. Mariano bakes seriously wonderful cakes too!
For those who just want to dance, Tango Garden Practica attracts a lively crowd of good social dancers, who come to practice, to dance, to socialise and, of course, drink sangria and eat cake. Why do anything else on a Saturday afternoon .....!

I love the atmosphere at Tango Garden. It's such a warm and relaxing environment. Maral and Mariano also provide snacks and tea. Maral also takes wonderful photos. The perfect afternoon milonga with the perfect hosts!

If you have always wanted to try tango this is the place for you! Every Saturday Maral and Mariano teach group classes at the elementary and intermediate level and host a milonga where you can put to practice what you just learnt. Everyone is very friendly and each milonga is a big party. You don't need to come with a partner to take the class, but you might find yourself telling your friends about how much fun you had! A word to the wise... don't forget to try the cakes!
