My wife is from Vienna and she had the brilliant idea of taking a lesson to finally learn the Viennese Waltz - which we've been butchering for the last 20 years. This would be our first ever dance lesson individually or together. After much searching she found Paul and from the first email exchange we knew we had found the right teacher. When we arrived for our lesson Paul immediately made us feel welcome and comfortable, as if we'd known him all along. S.We had the most magical wedding experience and an important part of it was our first dance which we prepared with Paul. We cannot recommend Paul highly enough: he is very knowledgeable and experienced, has excellent people skills and will know exactly how to work with your abilities- and how to develop them. We had 7 lessons which proved to be the right amount for us and gave us enough time to learn the routine and then polish the details.

Paul Prifti is great. From the first emails he was really interested not only in our own expectations, taste, etc. but also the details (where we were going to dance, type of dress and shoes). That was great so he could adapt better to us in particular.
He really makes you feel confident that you are able to do it. He has a huge experience preparing couples and that helps. We enjoyed very much the 2 lessons we did and it was a special time for us in the hectic weeks just before the wedding. In the second lesson he recorded our dance, which looked surprisingly nice! That's great to get confident.
On the W day, there are many things that you haven't really prepared for (whether the floor is slippery, the dress not as easy to hold as expected, etc) but at least we were able to do something nice, we enjoyed, and even when we got something wrong we were able to carry on normally!
M. S.We wanted to learn a simple but impressive first dance. We were pressed for time. We'd chosen a song but we knew we'd be hopeless without lessons. After an initial first lesson we chose a package. Paul was fantastic! He put together a routine that initially looked complex, but was in fact a number of simple moves put together in a way that made us look great. I absolutely recommend Paul put together your first dance. It was so much fun at the lessons. We loved dancing the routine on our big day. The video is terrific.

My one previous attempt at such lessons ended with a very muddled and badly executed trip around a dance floor, with me forgetting almost every one of the carefully planned moves. Paul's approach was, however, completely different and proved to be really effective. He started to put me at ease from the first lesson, with my confidence increasing each time we saw him. By the 5th and final lesson I was genuinely enjoying it! Over the course of the lessons he taught us basic steps and then added only as many other steps as we could execute. There was no complicated routine to remember, which meant that we could "perform" even if we messed up. The dance itself was then really good fun. We didn't do exactly what we'd planned, but Paul had given us enough confidence and capability to complete the dance to rounds of applause. I really can strongly recommend him and his whole approach!

We now have a lovely routine which we put together in just three lessons and it's just perfect, so much more than we thought we'd be able to achieve, and still thoroughly enjoyed learning! He knows when to be fun, when to be patient, when to push you, etc. and tailors all of that to what you want. If you want to be ambitious with your dance, he'll push you hard and make sure you get the absolute maximum improvement from your lessons. If you are stressed enough as it is and just want to learn some basics so that you don't trample each other, he will probably push you just a little more than you want at the time, but you will look back and be glad that he did, he really does know his stuff and his customers!
