Stefan has been an absolutely amazing teacher! We had no experience but Stefan took our chosen music, choreographed a fantastic routine and taught us in a much shorter time than we thought would be possible! We have really enjoyed his teaching style. He has been patient, kind and incredibly professional. He made us feel very comfortable and was great at explaining details that we thought we wouldn’t be able to pick up as non-dancers. We have ended up with a much more complex routine than we thought possible for our first dance at our wedding because of his help. We would highly recommend him.

We booked 8 lessons with Stefan to prepare for our first dance. Stefan was incredible right from the start. I’m not blessed with natural rhythm or coordination, but Stefan was very patient, and very sensitive to our needs. It can’t have been easy to direct us virtually through zoom during the lockdown in our initial lessons, but he made it seem easy and enjoyable. He choreographed a great routine for us to our chosen song, and adjusted it for us as it developed. We would both highly recommend Stefan, and certainly plan on having more lessons in the future. We had a fantastic time working with Stefan to plan our first dance for our wedding. As two non-dancers, we benefitted enormously from his kind and patient guidance. He made us feel comfortable, confident and even elegant - which we certainly did not expect at the start of the process! He was particularly good at finding different ways of explaining what we needed to do - we didn't need technical knowledge or to learn lots of specialist vocabulary. Instead he broke things down simply and clearly, and we thoroughly enjoyed (trying) to follow along. I offered my a pack of Latin/ballroom couple dance sessions through the London Academy of Dance. Stefan was our tutor throughout 6 hourly sessions that we very much enjoyed - he has great communication, managed to adapt the complexity to both my husband, who had previous experience and myself, who did plenty of ballet earlier in life but was totally new to this type of dance. We had fun in each class, saw amazing progress, all this in a year of Covid, following all the safety measures and during my pregnancy, in which we danced up until 37 weeks. We completely recommend Stefan and his skills and look forward to perhaps a few more lessons, someday.

Stefan is a great dance teacher and wonderful person to be around! We decided to take weekly dance lessons six weeks before our wedding and we enjoyed every single session. Stefan was super flexible to schedule with and he came to our home which made it extra convenient. He quickly assessed what we could pull off in time for our wedding and came up with a nice little choreography that was easy to follow. Stefan is very talented and patient and has the ability to break the steps down easily. Each week was so much fun and we always had a good laugh together. Stefan is the most wonderful dance teacher you could wish for. It is my dream to learn to dance the Viennese Waltz, and right from the very first lesson he taught me so much. Every lesson, I learn an incredible amount. They say that one private lesson is the equivalent of ten group lessons and with Stefan that is so true, I would even say with Stefan it is even more, he is a really great dance teacher, his knowledge and techniques of teaching is brilliant. Stefan’s teaching style is very encouraging and friendly, and he puts you at ease right from the beginning. Stefan has the most uplifting, positive, captivating energy, and when you are in his company your own energy is uplifted; he is not only a brilliant dance teacher but a truly wonderful positive person to be in the company of. Stefan’s own dancing technique is impossibly perfect (and very inspiring), and his teaching style is amazing, he teaches you the reasons and the techniques behind the dance steps and styles. His knowledge of all different types of dancing is really very remarkable, he will teach you so much about the dance and different dance styles. Having dance lessons with Stefan, you will feel like you are in your own version of Strictly Come Dancing, it really is a wonderful experience. His kind words of encouragement lift your spirits and makes you want to keep trying. And the dance lessons are really so much fun, Stefan has a really fun sense of humour, he is really funny! Stefan is a very patient and an extremely creative talented dancer and dance teacher, and breaks down the steps to the level you need them at, and if you’re still struggling, he will find innovative ways to help you learn them. And he always goes above and beyond and shares with you his passion for the dance, and it’s not just about learning the dance steps, but learning to dance, to dance with rhythm, and giving you insight about the essence and nature of dance. He knows and dances in so many different dance styles so incredibly well. Stefan is very professional, and his lessons are well structured and he will design a syllabus that tailors for you perfectly at the level you are at and the level you are progressing. He is honest and patient and gives you feedback on ways you can improve. Although the lessons are fun, you will be challenged and pushed to levels you didn’t think you could achieve, in learning to dance and the drills are very effective in learning. He pushes you and challenges you in your own unique road to learning to dance, but he is very friendly and very approachable. Stefan is very respectful and caring of your own passion and desire to what you want to get out of the dance lessons, and your desire to learn to dance. It’s like he’s your dream-holder of your own dreams, desires and aspirations to dance. The lesson goes by so fast, because it is so much fun! I highly recommend Stefan for private dance lessons. You will love it!! I can honestly guarantee it. He genuinely cares about your learning, and is passionate about teaching you to dance, not just learning the dance steps, he genuinely wants you to have those aha moments and breakthroughs in your journey to learn to dance and be creative in the form of dance. When you have that moment of dancing and letting go, it’s a moment of pure bliss as you are totally lost in the moment of creative flow, which is the best feeling in the world. I feel very safe and comfortable learning to dance with Stefan as he’s very patient, kind, positive, and encouraging. He is strict though when it comes to learning the proper technique and that’s what you need from a professional dance teacher. Dance teachers like Stefan, I imagine are very rare. So, if you get to have a private lesson with him, it really is an honour and a privilege to be taught by an exceptionally talented dancer/teacher, it takes great skill to be a teacher, not everyone can do it. Stefan is the best dancer I’ve ever personally met, and this translates perfectly into his teaching. He is able to break everything down to a granular level so that beginners to advanced dancers alike can benefit equally from his tuition. His lessons are well structured and he quickly learns the specifics of how individuals dance, and is able to tailor his tuition to match individual needs. I’m not sure how he does it, and I don’t care as long as he keeps teaching us!

To say that I was a bit apprehensive when my fiancé suggested going to dance lessons for our wedding is a bit of an understatement. It was as far from my comfort zone as it was humanly possible. I went to the tester lesson ready to find any reason not to come back, despite my best efforts to the contrary I could not help but feel at ease with Stefan and I found myself intrigued and would I dare say it, quite enjoying myself. I did come back. Stefan is a very accomplished dancer in his own right but more importantly as far as I was concerned, a very accomplished teacher. He run away with our very unusual and obscure choice of song coming up with a choreography routine we could end up feeling as our own, incorporating movements that he stole from our unguarded behaviour. He walked a very narrow rope between a demanding routine that stretched us and tailoring it to our level. He not only communicated the technical know-how of the discipline but also conveyed a feel for it. He provided us with the building blocks starting from scratch but also built our confidence and helped us through when we thought we were running into a wall. He made us laugh when disasters happened as me arriving to class after doing my back in the night before. The day of the wedding our guests were thoroughly amazed and going for it. Despite the DJ using the wrong remix our improvisation on the spot went completely unnoticed. I have to thank Stefan for helping make our day memorable.
