I went to my first Starlesque dance class last night and had an amazing time! Highly recommended!!! I am new to the area (Portsmouth) and was looking for something social and fun to do that was active too, and they are brilliant! I contacted Starlesque when it popped up online, and were straight away in contact with Nicola and Denise, who are just so supportive and accommodating! I had all the information I needed before my lesson and they even met me in the foyer to stop any anxiety. The class was easy to follow, light hearted and really fun! I found it liberating, it was nice to feel sassy and sexy in a totally safe, non judgemental environment, and I left there feeling amazing. Thank you ladies, I’m so pleased I’ve found you, and looking forward to much more learning and growing! 🙏❤️ Expect fun, laughter, connection, team building, learning and growing, again highly recommended xx

Just the best weekly pick me up you can have! A dance class most definitely with a difference- non-competitive, all ages, all shapes and sizes but all with one thing in common: the desire to build each other up. Starlesque brings fitness, fun, laughter in abundance, and new found friendships. Once you give it a go you’ll understand for yourself the difference it can bring-so with a sprinkling of stardust why not come and take your first steps - you will not look back!

This class ticks more than just an exercise class. Although if that’s what you’re looking for this is a fantastically fun way to start! But be prepared for lots of giggles, support, friendship and confidence boosting too! Absolutely no experience is needed to attend and you can go at your own pace. x

From the moment I enquired about Burlesque, I was made to feel welcome. Even before attending my first class, the other ladies in the group chat showed me such kindness and support. I've never felt like I've belonged somewhere more than I do here. The instructors are amazing and I'm really enjoying learning the routine. I absolutely love being part of my Starlesque group held in Portsmouth run by Nicole Sakarra. The class has helped with my fitness level, boosted my confidence and reignited my passion for crafting as I use these skill to make costumes. With my increase confidence I have had the courage to do three performances to the public,the social events have been amazing and my social anxiety is a thing of the past. Starlesque classes are doing wonders for my confidence and self esteem. The teacher is amazing, funny, kind, supportive and there is no pressure, no striving for perfection, just fun. It's like finally finding a tribe of empowering women, no competition, plenty of encouragement and support. The cherry on the top is the sexy dances, broken down into weekly chunks. Starlesque is fabulous. I have never had any confidence in myself or my abilities, but Starlesque has changed all that! I can't begin to tell you how much this class has helped me. My best friend bugged me for about 8 weeks to come along in 2021 and I was insistent that it wasn't for me and I would never have the confidence to do it. After my first session I was hooked. Did my first annual show after 5 short months of being with starlesque and absolutely loved it. So excited to do this year's show with even more sass! If you struggle with body confidence like I did (and still do) definitely do these classes. They give you so much of a confidence boost. I wouldn't look back now! Not ever! I even picked a starlesque dance name and tattooed a picture depicting that name on my leg 🤣 What have you got to lose? All the ladies as so welcoming and I giggle so much every week I go! Don't leave it a minute later, join us as soon as you can. You won't regret it! ❤️

4 and half years ago at the age of 70, I joined a dance group , at the time I thought maybe I was to old, but I had nothing to lose by giving it a go, little did I know that it would change my life and lead me into some wonderful adventures. as well as giving me the opportunity of making some awesome lifelong friends. Starlesque is a sisterhood of women supporting women to love themselves whatever age and body size. through burlesque and musical theatre style routines, Starleque classes aim to promote confidence, fitness with lots of fun and laughs. My last years best find, Portsmouth starlesque group. A lovely friendly group. Confidence as grown so much. Nicole is a extremely caring patient instructor and makes you feel so at ease. If you only do one thing this year to improve your fitness and confidence.. do this

OK so I finally got the confidence to join just over 3 yrs ago now, and my first class...... a 3 hr masterclass!!! One of the best decisions in my life and I've never looked back. I'll be honest I had no confidence no body positivity before I started and was petrified, but as soon as I walked through those doors I was welcomed with open arms as if I had been there for 10 yrs!! Since then I have done things I wouldn't have dreamed of I've done classes, masterclasses, (1 of which I did 5 weeks after I had my daughter!!) And an anual show with another anual show this Yr!!! I've learned that exercise doesn't have to be boring or make you feel inadequate or that you need to 'loose weight' in order to participate or that you have to be a certain age, we are all different ages and sizes and love it!! No one is judgementle and so friendly and caring. So my question is when are you joining one of our many classes and signing up for fun, laughs, fitness and friendship? We're not just dance classes we are a family and a sisterhood 🥰😊😘xx
