Reviews of Kings Academy of Performing Arts

My daughter joined Kings Academy last year she attends Street dance classes each week as well as the Creative drama programme. The staff at Kings work incredibly hard supporting all of the children individually and have helped and supported my child massively in the time she has been with them. She looks forward each week to her lessons and always comes out smiling and chatting away about the fun they got up to. I know that her time with the Kings Academy is really being put to good use, and that wouldn’t be possible without Miss Viki, Miss Emily & Miss Jess.

The team put on a Caberet show last night giving the children, amongst them my 9 year old daughter, a chance to showcase their singing and acting. It was a genuinely WOW moment to see her up there singing with such poise and confidence and loving every second. Miss Viki and Miss Emily are clearly inspiring the children to step up to their performance, hone their skills, work as a team, but mainly enjoy every second of it.

This is a lovely Dance Academy, both my daughters attend/have attended, all the teachers work really hard to get the best from their students - and there is a good balance between exam work and show work - and the shows are absolutely brilliant!

My children love their time at Kings and especially look forward to shows. It really feels like a family with older pupils supporting the younger children and often returning to the school to teach. A number of pupils continue in dance courses at uni and college so the quality of teaching is excellent. I don’t think my children will become professionals but they enjoy meeting their friends, learning new skills, having fun whilst exercising and being part of a dance school family.
