I visited Flagstaff this afternoon to have a wisdom tooth removed under sedation. I was terrified at the thought of being sedated and having the tooth removed as it was broken at the gum. I'm a real worrier and it had caused me so much anxiety for days and when I arrived there I was physically shaking, heart rate through the roof and my belly was doing flips etc!! However, all the anxiety and worry was for nothing because I do not remember a thing!! You feel and know nothing. Over super quick. Dentist and the nurses were very nice and the clinic was also lovely and clean. Pleasantly surprised by the whole experience. So for anyone else who may be dreading their appointment and needing some reassurance... honestly you will be totally fine :) The only reason I gave the clinic 4 stars, is because one of the ladies on reception could have been a bit nicer, she really wasn't that friendly at all. Very blunt giving me orders to do my height and blood pressure etc. Not once asked how I am or if I was ok and nervous patients really appreciate that friendliness when they are scared, so that was a shame. Other than that, great service from everyone else.

Have now been here on two separate occasions to have my wisdom teeth removed. First time was fine, dentist initially thought it was going to be difficult to remove my tooth due to the angle it was growing it. But he managed to get it out no problem in less than 5 mins. I suffer with a lot of anxiety with dentists and all staff we very good. Today I went back for my second extraction and has an even better dentist. He managed to get my tooth and caused no swelling or pain for me at all. I am so surprised. I wouldn't of thought I would have no swelling. You can't even tell I have had dental work. Sedation was quick and effective and all staff very pleasant during this experience. Aftercare information has been given and all staff willing to answer any questions. Highly recommended

I had a wisdom tooth out here 10 years ago and this went fine under sedation then. I had to have another one out and requested to go back here. Again, absolutely fine you will feel and remember nothing! Post op I have pain both times but they were both impacted teeth and am just taking painkillers.. I would definitely recommend!

I had a wisdom tooth extraction here yesterday and have to say I was impressed. A few weeks ago I saw the surgeon and following a comprehensive and comfortable X-ray and weigh in, he confirmed that my tooth needed removing. Upon arrival I was met again by a friendly member of staff and then invited into the consulting room. There they took my blood pressure and pulse. Within a couple of minutes the dentist has given me my sedation, which I didn’t even feel, before I dozed off. Sometime later I woke up and was then led out to an armchair before being assisted by a member of staff to a waiting car. I’m not sure how long the process took but I certainly didn’t feel a thing other than post operative pain which I’m managing with pain relief. I was expecting to have to pay hundreds of pounds for this extraction but in fact it cost less than £100 and was a far more pleasant experience than I feared. I can thoroughly recommend My Dentist if you need a wisdom tooth removing.

Had 3 teeth out under sedation recently. Very fast, no pain, don't remember a lot. Felt very nervous about sedation effect and pain during and after treatment but it was all good. Thank you very much. Lovely dentist and dental nurses. Would definitely recommend them.

Following on from the previous positive reviews.. This initial consultation regarding 2 wisdom extractions was very brief and somewhat surly.. I actually took this as a positive! A professional competent surgeon doesn't feel the need to ingratiate. On the day of the surgery (mid feb 2019 under sedation) the mood was entirely different, with consideration given to ease my anxiety. 3 extractions in 20 minz ! don't remember a thing after the injection went in ! took a few hours to feel back to normal. I was also expecting a lot of pain from the extraction sites, but amazingly i have felt ZERO pain ! a little ache till the next morning but what a great dentist to achieve such a welcome outcome. Highly recommend !

I had my tooth extracted under sedation yesterday. I can't believe how quick and painless it was. My husband said I was only in there about 10 minutes. I don't remember a thing. Today I feel ok, with slight discomfort, just taking paracetamol. I didn't need to be nervous after all! Thank you so much for doing such a fantastic job.

Had extraction done today under sedation about 5 hours ago. Still feeling a bit woosey but i guess that's to be expected. This is the first time i have used sedation and was very apprehensive about it being a very nervous dental patient. Honestly nothing to worry about, as soon as the drug took i effect i remembered very little about the procedure. Ideal for people who are petrified of going to the Dentist. This tooth had needed to come out for 3 years but because of my fears kept cancelling appointments until this was offered !! You're in good hands, do not worry you'll be fine. The only reason for 4 stars is it's a bit of an old small building with small car park but spotlessly clean.

I went there yesterday for a dentist appointment. It had been 20 years since I’ve been to the dentist. The staff there are absolutely wonderful I had x-rays done full mouth and then Dr. Green came in and and checked my teeth for cavities. Lucky for me I didn’t have any cavities, Then I went to see Becky Cain for her to clean my teeth. It was done in a timely matter and I really appreciate the great service that I got at Flagstaff dental I will be back in two weeks.

I feel as though I should leave a review as I was absolutely terrified of having my extraction. Especially after reading some of the negative reviews on here. I searched through all the reviews, for a review with my dentists name mentioned in it and couldn’t find any, this made me feel worst. I had delayed my appointment as much as possible. For some reason I am terrified of dentists and the bad reviews made this worse. I spent many evenings before my appointment in tears and arrived at my appointment in tears also. The nurses were fantastic, they made me feel at ease. I was sat in the chair and it was over with, in what seemed like seconds. Dr.Naveen Sunkada extracted my tooth, In less than 12mins (according to my husband, I don’t remember) I didn’t have any pain during and very little pain afterwards. So there you go, anybody else that may be searching for a review for Dr.Naveen Sunkada. I would highly recommend him. He did the job, easily, efficiently and without causing me any pain. It was nowhere near as bad as I had feared and I’d got myself in a state over nothing, I wish I had the names of the amazing nurses as I would like to thank them for calming me down. Don’t be put off by the outdated building or the negative reviews. I appreciate that this is just my experience, but I wish I hadn’t delayed my appointment for so long, or let the reviews worry me so much. If I need any more extractions I will definitely be returning here. Thank you

Went here today for a wisdom tooth removal. There was not much left of it and it had to come out. I’m extremely nervous with the dentist. I went in this afternoon, nearly passed out in the chair (not even exaggerating!) 30 seconds after the stuff went in I was half asleep and didn’t care what was happening! All I remember is prodding and pulling. Then he stopped and I asked is that it? And it was done! Dr Naveen Sunkada did a brilliant job and so did all his team, from the receptionists to the nurses. Sorry I was too out of it to thank you after, but thank you all very much!!

Would just like to say a massive thank you to Dr.Naveen Sunkada for the quick & painless removal of my wisdom tooth yesterday. I was extremely anxious & unsure on arrival that I would even be able to go ahead with the extraction, Dr.Naveen Sunkada was calm & patient & reassured me, along with the lovely dental nurse that all would be fine. He had my tooth out in 5 seconds max, husband was sat in the waiting room & couldn't believe I was done so quick 😀 it's now the day after & I haven't had to take any painkillers as yet & have no swelling, unbelievable. I was so worried after reading some of the negative reviews but would have no hesitation in returning here now, had been putting this off for months & even cancelled appointments. Thank you Dr.Naveen Sunkada.

Had a tooth extracted under sedation in August. The original appointment had to be cancelled but a new date was arranged. The staff are brilliant. Very professional and helpful. The premises are terrible, totally unsuited to modern requirements. Wheelchair access is difficult if not impossible. Car parking inadequate. However given the cash starved NHS they do an amazing job. Can't give them 10 out of 10 but I would recommend any nervous patients to go there. They won't let you drive home after sedation so the local taxi service of a partner who drives is needed.

Had four teeth out yesterday. What a good experience. I was terrified but the staff and dentist were brilliant with a very nervous patient. Everything explained in detail and was all over in minutes. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

This was my first time to have teeth extracted by sedation. Having had the scratch in the back of my hand, the blindfold placed over my , treatment began. I can honestly say that I felt no pain and or anything else. I was so surprised. All of the staff who attended to me during and after showed care and attention at all times. I do agree that bigger and better premises would be an asset to all.

FABULOUS AZ I have used Azhar Bakhshi a few times for treatment. Each and every time he has looked after me and completed some extensive oral surgery. The nurses that support him have always treated me well too. I would highly recommend him. Very personal service completed with great empathy and professionalism. Also a great follow up service.

I had a tooth extracted on the 9th November 2016. As usual for me, my imagination had been working overtime. I was really worried about being sedated and worried the tooth would take a long time to remove and be difficult. I also worried about how the gum would heal. I arrived only just on time. Every member of staff was reassuring and gentle and professional. I sat back in the chair and hardly felt the needle the anesthetist, Rudi Swart, put into the back of my hand. I quickly felt relaxed. Dr.Azhar Bakhshi then numbed the area around the tooth and quickly removed it. It was all over in a matter of minutes with no pain or distress. I was given some instructions to follow and after a few more minutes I came home. It was all done so quickly. I really needn't have worried so much. Today, 10th November, I am following the instructions and I have not required any pain relief. I think the wound is starting to heal nicely. Thank you.
