Both myself and my daughter have been attending this dentist for several years now. We usually see Dr. Maria who is fantastic and completely changed my life by giving me a new smile. My daughter has only ever had check ups so when she had to attend for an emergency temporary filling recently she was very scared. Dr Michie saw us this day and she felt so at ease with him, he also recommended good ways to encourage her to brush her teeth better and since this her teeth have improved massively! I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

This has to be the best dental practice in Edinburgh , the dentists and supporting dental team are fantastic - completely patient focused , professional and genuinely care. They take time to explain any treatment that is required and why it is required. They offer both NHS and Private treatment . I am personally seen by Dr Maria Ertz and have been a patient for 10 years and cannot say enough good things about her and I know from others who are also patients of Citrus feel the same way . My most recent experience was to get root canal , first time I have ever needed one and was a bit nervous -any nerves quickly disappeared ! I have never been so relaxed during a procedure and Dr Maria is definitely Queen of Root Canal treatments ! Its a shame you can only award 5 Stars as they are 6 big gold stars plus Thank you everyone at Citrus !!

At last a good reliable and caring NHS dentist. Really helped me with problems caused by other dentists. Always explains options and treatments clearly, checks in and involves me in decisions about my care. Support staff are also excellent. Best dental practice ever! I have been seeing Iain Swan for years now, and even after leaving Edinburgh I still travel in from the Borders to see him. I had so many bad experiences previously that it had left me so scared about dental treatment. After my first appointment with Dr Swan I literally have never been remotely anxious about it. He’s so kind & gentle and is just absolutely brilliant at what he does. My husband goes to this practice also and sees Drew Michie and we argue over who has the best dentist 😂. If you have any anxieties I would highly recommend this practice. The receptionist are also super lovely, it’s never a bad experience! Thanks Citrus!

Dr. Iain Swan has a very comforting presence. His confidence was reassuring. When he assessed the pain I was feeling in my lower molar, he gave me two options. Either a root canal or an extraction. He told me that, without hesitation, were it his tooth, he would extract it as he really didn't feel the root canal would be of any real benefit. I accepted his diagnosis and, only two days later I was back in the chair to have the tooth out. After cleaning my teeth and giving me two injections, it took him only two, maybe three minutes to painlessly extract the tooth. Six hours later, after the injection wore off, I can honestly say that there was no pain, only some discomfort. So, I would highly recommend Dr. Iain Swan.

I’ve struggled to find a dentist since moving to Scotland, and during Covid could only get basic examinations and dental hygiene advice. A friend recommended Citrus and Maria Ertz is just an outstanding dentist, friendly, knowledgeable, reassuring, she took time to explain and clarify things, great service, lovely clean practice, this was everything a visit to the dentist should be, I cannot praise Maria or her colleagues enough!

I have been a patient at Citrus NHS Dental Care for over 3 years now and I am very satisfied. Back home in Italy I have always loved going to the dentist (I am aware this is not common) so it was important to find a dentist I could trust. Drew is my dentist and have always been really accommodating and listened to all of my needs. Recently, on Tuesday, I got 2 of my wisdom teeth taken out and, even if this process scared me a little bit, it went super smooth. No pain, fast and really efficient. Keep up the good work guys!

I recently had some crowns replaced with Dr Maria Ertz and would say overall it was an excellent experience! Dr Ertz was so friendly and explained everything very clearly which put me at ease. I never felt a thing, and my new crowns look and feel great - she is a brilliant dentist! The reception staff were also always extremely friendly and I had no trouble getting an appointment. Excellent care from start to finish. Have been a patient here for 4 years and had extensive dental work done. Receptionist is lovely and informative, and tries very hard to ensure appointment needs are met. Dentist is great, has great chat and really puts me at ease. He always discusses any costs upfront and only does any surgery/work on my teeth if it’s essentially required. This is not a money making practice and I truely believe they have their patients best interest at heart. A great practice!!

Both me and my daughter have been attending this dentist for several months now. I have had three fillings, whitening treatment and composite bonding all performed by Maria and Kelly. I was so unhappy with my teeth when I first walked into citrus but thanks to Maria and Kelly I now have beautiful teeth. I could not be happier with them, they are amazing! I have to say that Citrus Dental Care have been excellent. Maria has been both wonderfully friendly and professional, and has improved my dental health considerably since I joined in December. I did read the negative reviews before I joined, but they must have changed the receptionist since because the current receptionist, Seonaid has always been incredibly helpful and polite too. No-one looks forward to their dental check-ups but this is the next best thing, very much recommended.

I really cannot express in words how delighted I am! After having a very bad experience at another dentist surgery I joined Citrus after it was recommend by a friend. My dentist Maria Ertz, was absolutely amazing. She talked me through exactly what needed done in language that I understood and during the treatment I can honestly say I never felt a thing, in fact I think at one point I actually fell asleep. Maria has such a kind and personable approach that I immediately trusted her. If there was more dentists like Maria around I'm sure that everyone would be going to the dentist. She has completely restored my faith in dentists and I am looking forward to going back to see her in 6 months time for my check up. If you have any fears about going to the dentist at all, this is the place you must go - trust me! Also would like to say that the receptionist is really friendly and could teach some doctors receptionists a ting or two about customer service.

I found Dr Iain Swann and his colleagues at Citrus to be excellent. Going to the dentist has never been a pleasure and in recent years I have had some poor experiences while living overseas. Initial assessment and treatment at Citrus has, however, been excellent.Dr Swann and his colleagues worked quickly and efficiently, made me very comfortable and provided great care for both routine clean and polish and remedial treatment. He explained every step of the treatment and was very reassuring during the process. The appointments system seems to work very well - never more than a few minutes to wait in reception. All together a very positive experience.

When my dentist retired, i wasn't too sure about going to a new practice. My son was already a patient with " CITRUS " and highly recommended Dr Drew Michie. Had my first check-up last week. Needed to get a filling and i have just returned home wondering if i actually DID get a filling !!! The whole experience was very professional, and as for pain ? I didn't feel a thing. After moving to Scotland, I didn't know which dentist to choose so I looked on Yelp and found Citrus Dental. I booked my first appointment last week and showed up today at my appointed time. It was easy to register as a new patient, and I was thrilled that Citrus is on the NHS and therefore very affordable! I had a little bit of a hard time finding this place, but Meadows Place curves so Citrus Dental (and the health clinic it's with) are along the Meadows and the higher numbers curve around away from the Meadows. Although the building is a bit nondescript from the outside, it's nice and modern inside. Dr Iain is great - thorough yet gentle.

I told Dr Iain Swan about my previous awful experiences at the dentist (blood everywhere, enamel removed CAUSING toothache - just for regular check-ups) and he was extremely gentle and professional. No blood, totally comfortable and easy. I'd really recommend Citrus, especially if you've had bad experiences elsewhere. The receptionist was great too. And they were really upfront about costs for extras (rather than mentioning it afterwards, which I've also had elsewhere!). They do email/text reminders as well, which is handy. I really have no negatives. Citrus was great :)

Brilliant practice I recently seen Dr Ertz and on her advice went ahead with Invisalign treatment. Would highly recommend. She was very professional and gave me a number of options to straighten my teeth. I have had 5 sessions of treatment (root canal & crown fitted) at Citrus, and would like to say how thoroughly impressed I am with the whole service provided. Having received a prohibitively expensive quote from a private practise, I decided to be patient and go with an NHS dentist, and I'm very glad I did. The receptionist was very helpful throughout and keen to get my sessions in before christmas. I was kept fully informed of my next treatments via email, with a reminder a few days before each one. The dentist, Drew Michie, was thoroughly professional, keeping me well-informed and putting me at ease throughout the whole process. I was also very impressed with his meticulousness when fitting the crown - it fits perfectly! If there was a 6th star I would give it!
