Had treatment done here today and absolutely cannot recommend this practice or staff enough. From the minute you walk in the door you really feel welcome and relaxed. All the staff you speak to are so lovely and as an extremely anxious patient, I appreciated that the most. Dr Carol Tait really is outstanding. She knew I was nervous so reassured me every step of the way and explained everything as she was doing it. She's very professional but also has a really warm personality which helps calm your nerves. The dental nurses that were in with her were great too. Thankyou all so much!

I have found the quality of the care and treatment delivered by Edinburgh Dental Specialists to be excellent. Dr Millen and his team were very helpful in guiding me through the options, explaining the treatment plan and answering my questions. I found the verbal and written information to be very clear and have appreciated their engagement with my local dental practice. Have been attending EDS for a number of years. Everyone of the staff are friendly, professional and experts in what they do. My last visit was to Moira the Hygienist. Its always a pleasure to see Moira, she takes such great care with your treatment and will answer any questions or concerns you may have. She is a lovely lady with a kind heart.

I am currently having dental implant work carried out at this practice The procedure is almost complete and I must say it has been completely the opposite to what I expected and I would urge anyone to go here if they are at all worried about having implants put in. Just this week I had to have a tooth extracted by Dr Suzanne Lello (it wasn’t an easy one !,) I can honestly say she made the whole experience bearable from start to finish .Her manner is very calming and in no time at all it was over after 7 weeks of pain! From the receptionists then the nurses on to the practitioners you cannot fault this Dental Surgery thank you so much . I must also say I have never sat in such a comfortable dentists chair 😊

I was referred to the Edinburgh Dental Centre by my own dentist for a root canal filling. I am an extremely nervous patient and have significant dental phobia. My whole experience was five star but Dr Philpott warrants a special mention. He is so patient and I felt truly understood my fear of the dentist. At my first visit everything was clearly explained to me, the benefits, risks, the procedures etc. I had two further visits for the root canal filling and I honestly had no pain at all during the procedure at all. He was kind, calm, gentle and reassuringly explained everything as he went along. If every dentist was this good no one would have dental phobia. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending him, especially if you are a nervous patient like me.

I was referred to Edinburgh Dental Specialists by my current dentist for specialist treatment I required. I was first seen by Dr Stuart Campbell who advised me of the treatment process what was involved and the options that were available to me. My treatment was to have Implants fitted. From the day of surgery to check ups and final fitting I cannot recommend this practice enough. Dr Campbell along with his assistant Chelsea talked me through every detail at every appointment and explained fully what would happen on the day. They also ensured that until I was 100% satisfied they wouldn't be happy. There was never any pain throughout this treatment and I am absolutely delighted with the end result. Chelsea and Dr Campbell I cannot recommend enough. For anyone who is nervous at the thought of the treatment and pain there is no need to be at Edinburgh Dental Specialists these guys are superb.

It's not often you can say going to the dentist is a pleasant experience but I can truthfully say that on this occasion it was. Naturally, I was a little hesitant, having been referred to the Edinburgh Dental Specialists by my own dentist for a very tricky root canal procedure. On arrival, every-one from the receptionist to the staff in the treatment room was lovely and I was quickly put at ease. I can honestly say that I didn't feel a thing during the procedure which was very successful. I was also impressed with the speed and detail of post-treatment liaison between my own dentist and the Edinburgh Specialists. On a side note, the treatment chair was the most comfortable one I have ever sat in and some of the technical equipment used by the dentist looked seriously high tech. It felt that I had stepped through a time-machine to dentistry of the future! I would thoroughly recommend the Edinburgh Dental Specialists.

I was referred to EDS as my own dentist who had no experience on implants. It was my first visit to a private facility and have to say was most impressed, with the attention and care taken to provide a relaxed atmosphere. A full appraisal and record was taken of my current dental needs, followed by a discussion with Dr Millen and Bev. A list of treatments suggested with costing were then received, from there I selected priorities and treatment started. Appointments were arranged to suit my availability, treatment lasted around 3 years including covid. I found the reception team extremely helpful and courteous, this together with the surgical staff made it a less painful and pleasant experience. I would have no hesitation in recommending this Dental Practice to family or friends

From the moment I arrived, I was greeted in a lovely friendly manner. Kate, the assistant to the surgeon was kind and thoughtful ( I was having two teeth out and was feeling apprehensive). Dr Lello was the same and explained everything to me. What she didn't say was that she would administer the injections in such a way that it was painless. The subsequent extractions went without a problem. I didn't even know when the teeth had come out! No pain at all!!! And two days on, I can honestly say that I have had no pain. Area just a little tender. No need for pain relief. It's amazing, remarkable and I'm relieved that's it's over, but sorry that I was so worried when I needn't have been. Truly expects in their field.

I had a mixed experience at EDS. My interaction with my implantologist was not good at all. He was flippant, disinterested and he caused me unnecessary pain. The experience I had with Dr Chris Millen and Bev McCann was significantly better. Dr Millen treated me with genuine interest and consideration. He keeps trying to get a positive result even when things didn't go according to plan. Bev is a class act. She is on the ball, but she is also caring, friendly and efficient. She is proactive and highly professional at all times. She and Dr Millen are quite a team.

I am so impressed with the staff, they are amazing. My experience of dentists is harrowing and once diagnosed with periodontal issues, I was really scared. Dr Brinkhart and her team have worked wonders! She is so kind, patient, knowledgeable and supportive that I felt secure throughout whole thing. I felt empowered actually and treated so well. My treatment is still ongoing so will need to keep visiting Moira (awesome hygienist!) amd the rest of the team, for the first time in my life I am genuinely not petrified to go to the dentist. I was told by my St Andrews dentist that Gillian the implant surgeon at Edinburgh Dental Specialists was excellent and this proved to be the case. I couldn't fault her nor the rest of the team from Dr Campbell, Chelsea the bubbly dental nurse to the receptionists. My surgery was pain free and diligently carried out by Gillian who inspired me with absolute confidence in what was quite a difficult procedure all said, as the bone base was quite narrow. I had a root canal done recently by Dr. Kate and her team. All I can say is this: It was the best dental surgery experience I've ever had, and I've had my share. Novacaine shot? Never even felt it. The procedure was done flawlessly. Wonderful people. Talented. Professional. Plus, when you're done you can eat next door at Zara- lovely mediterraean food. Makes the whole visit complete. Wow ! What can I say ? So very impressed with the knowledge, professionalism and genuine care I have received from Dr Gillian Ainsworth and her team ! Just recently underwent Front Tooth Implant surgery which required bone augmentation, and have to admit to feeling pretty nervous about this procedure , however , I was put completely at ease from the onset with the lovely receptionist and the Dental Nurses . The procedure itself was not half as bad as I was expecting and I put this down to Gillian's expertise in this field . I am 3 days post surgery and have already received a call from EDS Nurse to inquire how I am , and I am delighted to say I am feeling great and healing well . After speaking to Gillian on my initial consultation , dare I say, I instinctively had complete confidence in her and although it is still early days for me , I know for sure that I have someone at the top of her game looking after me.

To make long story short , i needed an implant and due to severe bone loss , only EDS were able to salvage what's left . Dr Fran Veldhuizen and Mr Paley were nothing short of spectacular . At that time the only treatment available was a bridge which lasted well for several years but eventually I was restricted in what I could get. My confidence was affected by this and I decided to look into Dental Implants. The Quality of care at EDS was reassuring and comforting. Was recommended EDS after having a bad experience with the NHS. After initial consultation and ct scan a plan was put in place for extraction of impact wisdom tooth. Procedure was carried out on Monday with no complications. Staff were so reassuring and talked me through the whole process, making me feel comfortable at every stage.
