For many years I have known about the negative health implications of having mercury in my dental fillings and have been looking for a mercury free dental practice. I was very nervous about the procedure of removing the fillings but I need not have worried. It has been a long journey, a little short of 15 months since I first met with Neeraj at Integrated Dentalcare to discuss the benefit of implants. I was not completely sold on the idea but the prospect of replacing two missing teeth and improving a poor bite was worth the journey. Neeraj was very good at explaining what would be needed and reassuring. In fact as my missing teeth had been missing for some time I needed the full surgery treatment in stages to make the implants successful. This included a bone graft on the upper jaw, a sinus lift to create space and a soft tissue graft to rebuild the gum line. I know that all sounds horrendous but it was all well planned and Neeraj and his team were very caring throughou to optimise the surgery. Neeraj made sure I knew what was happening at all times, was reassuring about the less comfortable steps and was realistic about recovery times between the different stages of the treatment. I have just had the new teeth fitted and it has already made a huge improvement to my eating and smile. My sincere thanks to Neeraj and his team for the care and consideration guiding me through these treatments. I would highly recommend consulting with Neeraj about reconstructive dental care.

Fabulous dental practice! I had a horrid root canalled tooth removed, which I had been putting off for years, followed by a bone-graft (due to bone loss due to loss of teeth and abscesses having eaten away at some of the jaw-bone). and a Zirconia implant (due to my metal and electrosensitivity.) I travelled up from Northumberland because Neeraj is just the most wonderful dentist. As much as one can look forward to going to the dentists, I did enjoy my visits (even my dreaded tooth extraction!). The whole team is genuinely warm and caring. I felt very welcome and relaxed at every visit and all my emails. phonecalls etc were always promptly returned. All my questions regarding treatment were answered and everything explained to me before, during and after. My Zirconia implant healed in no time - it seemed within a couple of days - thanks to the membrane technique Neeraj used. I also took some homeopathic remedies to help with the healing process at home. The replacement tooth looks great and is functioning well. Neeraj was very careful to avoid a nearby nerve when placing the implant and the space available was quite restrictive, so it has all worked out very well. Neeraj is at the top of his profession. I had great trust in him and felt very safe in his hands. He is very attentive to detail, gentle, considerate and friendly, and works in a thorough, unrushed manner. He is also exceptionally knowledgeable in regard to developments in his field of work utilising all the latest techniques, equipment and the best quality materials. It is very refreshing to have a dentist and dental practice who place oral health where it rightly belongs - as being profoundly connected to the whole body - and who are so proactive when it comes to Preventative treatment - which has been sadly lacking in much of UK dentistry for so long. Integrated Dental Care kindly agreed to undertake routine hygienist care at a time when my previous dentist was unable to offer such a service. I was very impressed with their procedures to keep us both safe and just as importantly, Sophie's work was first class. Again, very happy with the experience and that I am having two very short follow up sessions to check that all is well. After my initial consultation with Neeraj he explained to me that my teeth required extensive treatment. The staff are friendly and always ready with a huge smile every single time I'm there. Especially for anyone who is nervous about going to the dentist this makes a massive difference to the overall experience. The practice has all of the most up to date technology which adds to the knowledge that you are in the best hands when it comes to your dentalcare. Value for money is spot on. They go above and beyond to ensure that they provide the newest equipment available which time and time again has delivered better results to what they have been able to do for me. Just recently I attended my hygienist appointment with Sophie who is always a delight to see. She explained to me that she would be using a new technique to perform my check up called Guided Biofilm Therapy using a state of the art machine. I have very sensitive teeth so hygiene appointments have always been difficult for me, but this was an entirely different experience. It is so gentle, with warm water and is minimally invasive, so there was no discomfort or pain whatsoever. In addition to this my teeth and mouth have never felt as clean and fresh. Extremely happy!! It's reassuring to know that Sophie keeps a close eye on things and anything that needs attention will not be missed. Allan is my dentist at Integrated Dentalcare. His expertise and precision are outstanding. He is extremely patient and has always done his utmost to answer all of my (many!) questions. Allan makes time to discuss in depth any areas that need work and what treatment is appropriate, walking me through every step of the process. From fixing seemingly small things that have made a huge difference to my smile, to using a 3D scanner to create a special retainer which helps me stop clenching my jaw at night and fillings that look identical to my natural teeth, there is nothing that can't be sorted. I constantly get compliments on my teeth which is definitely down to the level of care I've received. I've also seen Neeraj at times who is dedicated and passionate about delivering the best treatments to the highest possible standard. He has even used lasers to fix certain issues I was having which is really cool! Neeraj is a real gem who is consistently kind and supportive. To top it all off the nursing team are exceptional. Tricia, Monika, Kathryn and Sara are extremely hard workers. Without fail they are polite, friendly, professional and always go out of their way to help you. I've always been frightened of going to the Dentist probably due to bad experiences when I was younger but I found this gem of a place about four years ago where Neeraj and his team go out their way to keep me relaxed. Recently I needed implants removed, sadly chemotherapy has had a massive impact on my gums, and to my surprise and shock Neeraj informed me I had the type of implants that were meant to be in for life and therefore nearly impossible to remove. Because of Neeraj's skill and passion in keeping up with the latest dental technologies, this meant he had invested in the special laser required for my surgery. I am excited to say that since their removal my health has improved greatly.

After my first checkup visit at Integrated Dentalcare (I did a few checkups with dentist around Edinburgh when choosing), it was immediately clear that the level of detail and professional attitude is just on another level. Being a PhD student, I had a list of probably 30+ questions from types of fillings, to types of foods and their effect on teeth, to laser vs drills when fixing cavity, etc. I had a long conversation with Allan, followed by the most in-depth checkup I have ever had, and another chat with Neeraj regarding lasers. Luckily so far, I have had only two fillings replaced. Again I was very impressed by the service. As probably most of the people, I have always been afraid and anxious going to a dentist. Allan started by explaining in details how the appointment is going to proceed and what he is going to do. He sedated the part of the mount he was working on, and used quite a few tools in order to make the area easy for him to work on. He kept guiding me throughout the process, explaining what he is doing. I think it was the first time when I was completely zoned out at some point, as the process was so painless and effortless! Allan was very careful in shaping the fillings so they are just the right height - and now they feel great!

I chose Integrated Dentalcare because I wanted a dentist who specialised in mercury amalgam removal. After my initial x-ray and consultation it was diagnosed that my teeth required extensive work. On top of all this is the fact that the atmosphere in Allan’s surgery couldn’t be friendlier or more relaxed. You are always warmly welcomed. In essence Neeraj and Allan are exceptional dentists backed by a wonderful team. I really can’t recommend this practice enough. While I’m here I must also make special mention of Lucy in reception. Lucy is unfailingly helpful, courteous, friendly and kind both on the telephone and in the practice itself.

I had one of my molars removed with PRF recently with Dr. Neeraj Puri from the Integrated Dentalcare and I had a very comfortable and speedy recovery. I didn’t even need any painkillers the day after the operation. I had thought that it was because of Dr Puri’s expertise - he removed my tooth very gently, thus protecting the surrounding teeth and issues very well. My friend recommend Dr. Puri to me when I moved into Edinburgh. Dr. Puri is very reliable, kind and professional. I feel he is not only dedicated to the practice but also studies hard and always delves into the most advanced technology in dentistry and applies these to his practice. This time, when he checked my teeth in two weeks after the operation, I thanked him for his technique and patience which I think contributed to such a speedy recovery, he told me the quick recovery is mainly due to the PRF, membrane made from my blood that nourished the healing, not only because of his experience in tooth extractions. Hygiene Therapy at Integrated Dental Care Had my first ever hygienist treatment today with Sophie at Integrated Dental Care and the new GBT technology was used. I would thoroughly recommend the new treatment. My teeth look and feel really clean and at no point was there any discomfort. Having sensitive teeth and some bad experiences in the past I'm a bit wary of hygienists, but I won't hesitate to book another appointment with Sophie.

Words sometimes fail me and are never enough when it comes down to expressing how deeply grateful I am to Neeraj and his wonderful team At the beginning of 2020 I had problems with my teeth. My own dentist, couldn't see me due to Covid restrictions. I was prescribed penicillin and advised that the tooth would have to be removed. In addition a large amalgam filling was cracked. I felt overwhelmed and feared loosing both teeth. I decided to take matters into my own hands and contacted Integrated Dental Care. I was offered a Virtual Consultation with Neeraj. I am not technically minded but found that process was very easy to follow. Later I met with Neeraj and an action plan was put in place to help me retain my teeth and carry out repair work to my other teeth that were affected by a heavy bite. This would involve a multi team approach. Once the repair work had been completed I would be offered a sleep clench inhibitor appliance to ensure the work done would be protected. I found Neeraj to be kind, compassionate, reassuring, supportive and most importantly he made me feel safe. This is important to me as any kind of dental work fills me with fear. Neeraj's enthusiasm, passion and mostly his respect for 'living teeth' delighted me. In discussions with Neeraj, I learned about 3D scanners, air purifiers and extra-oral suction. I knew I was in safe hands and extra precautions were put in place to ensure my safety during Covid. Appointments were arranged efficiently by Paulina and Lucy. Costs were given to me so that I knew I could budget in advance of appointments. I have a round trip of six hours to attend this dental practice. I have no hesitation in making the journey because I have trust in Neeraj's skill and the work he does. Today, I am amalgam free and for the first time I can eat and enjoy foods without the worry of my teeth cracking. To be able to keep two teeth that I was told would have to be removed has surpassed my expectation. I am so grateful.

Fantastic dentist practice who can’t do enough to look after you. I went to see Neeraj and his team to have my amalgam fillings removed as I had read about how toxic they can be and how it could be contributing to my ME. My energy levels weren’t great when I went through the treatment, but Neeraj and his team were very attentive and constantly checked in with me to see how I was during and after the procedures. Neeraj even went out his way to phone me at home to see how I was after hearing I wasn’t great after one round of the procedure. My setback had nothing to do with procedure itself, it was merely adjustment period after having those toxic metals removed. The procedure itself felt very relaxed and was worlds apart from my previous experience with Dentists. Can’t recommend this dentist enough for all kinds of dental treatment that truly go above and beyond in terms of patient well being and excellence in customer service. Special mention must go to Lucy on reception and also the dental nurses who also carry on the theme of personable attention, just a wonderful place to go and experience.

I and my family have been going to Integrated Dentalcare in Edinburgh for about 17 years. Over that time we as a family have always received top class dental service. When we have had emergencies like when my son fell and damaged his front teeth they dealt with him immediately or needing to re-aline my children's teeth, again the service and treatment we received was excellent. I cannot recommend them too highly. Everyone at the practice from the dentists to the dental nurses and reception staff are always professional and good at what they do but are always very pleasant and helpful. They care about looking after your teeth and have offered good advice over the years which is why we have continued going to them for as long as we have.

When I started my journey with Integrated Dentalcare my confidence with my teeth was at an all time low. My front upper teeth were lost in a playground accident when I was six, so I had over sixty years of dentures, a bridge and more dentures. In recent years the remaining upper teeth became more problematic, so I had to decide between further dentures or a more radical solution. I opted for the latter and over the past year underwent block bone grafting, then months later insertion of six implants (including two Zygomatic implants to provide greater stability). I was very fortunate to have the operations carried out pre-Covid by two very experienced oral surgeons, at Manor place. Neeraj then took a huge amount of care planning and fitting a full upper arch, custom made, titanium/zirconia reinforced bridge. My issue was with an old root canal, done at an NHS Hospital several years ago, that was now beginning to cause some discomfort. I mentioned this to Neeraj Puri during a routine check-up, and he explained that the tooth did indeed have an issue that required attention. He then presented me with three options: further root canal treatment, extraction of the tooth, or extraction of the tooth with a dental implant taking its place. I decided the best long-term option was the dental implant. From start to finish of the process, I have to say that Integrated Dentalcare were first class. Everything about the process was explained clearly, and I always felt in control of my treatment. I have been registered at the Integrated Dentalcare since December 2019. Dr Allan Matthews, Dr Neeraj Puri and entire practice are genuinely a team! I cannot thank Dr Allan enough. He is a real star! I was in acute pain (in tears actually!) during the lockdown, and my tooth had to be extracted. Since all the surgeries were closed, I could not be seen. However, I was able to contact the clinic on Facebook and received a super-fast response, numerous calls and genuine attention to my problem. During these challenging times, Dr Allan has not only carefully listened to me and reassured me but also prescribed the antibiotics and organised a pick up from the closed pharmacy. He followed up on my treatment, and at the end, it was he who organised my emergency tooth extraction in the dental hospital when I struggled. My appointment was with Dentist, Christine Morrell. I immediately liked her she had a great disposition, and made me feel very relaxed. It would be fair to say I am not a fan of the visiting at the best of times but I was really dreading my first visit to Integrated dental services. The reason being I knew I wasn't going for a simple check up or a few fillings but instead I was going to have my amalgam fillings replaced. Mercury toxicity from my fillings had made me very sick (that’s another story) and Integrated dental services had been recommended to me as being highly experienced in the safe removal of amalgam fillings. My first visit turned out to be a breath of fresh air. Neeraj was very friendly, highly approachable and (in a comfortable room away from a dentist chair) we had a comprehensive conversation about my general health as well as oral health and Neeraj answered my many questions about amalgam filling removal. So after winning my confidence I pressed ahead with a treatment plan. Now don’t get me wrong I wouldn't go as far as to call my multiple appointments fun (it’s still the dentist after all) but what I will say is that I was really looked after. Neeraj and the team did everything they could to make me feel comfortable. The appointments were fairly long but that is because this is not the production line dentistry I had experienced in the past. Lots of time was taken during each procedure and you can see there is a real passion for perfection going on here. The evidence of this can be seen when I look into my mouth and see no evidence of anything that looks like a filing. Nice work!

Being close to 50 now, I have had a lot of dental experience and found this practice to be first rate. I cannot fault any of the staff from reception, to dental nurses, hygienist and Dr Neeraj Puri himself. I have had a lot of help with gum disease and Nicky, hygienist was so very thorough and skilled. Cleaning was all below the gum line and I can't pretend this was pleasant, but it was required and Niki worked hard to make it as easy as she could. I then had all my amalgam removed, at my request, over some fairly lengthy visits. I have wanted this done for a long time but could not face it, however as my trust increased I decided to give it a go. I never felt pressured and explanations have been thorough and competent. My last lengthy appointment was extremely pleasant and I have been able to set aside many of my dental fears. Very professional, very kind and patient, always willing to explain things and spend extra time making you feel more relaxed in what can for many be a very stressful experience. Also thought their pricing was fair and reasonable. Any work I require I will be making the effort to come back to Edinburgh to see Neeraj and his lovely team. I no longer dread the dentist.

I never thought I would choose private dental care. However when I started to get my amalgam fillings removed my NHS dentist did not have experience of using an effective dam to prevent fumes and mercury being ingested. Also he was not experienced in using composite for fillings and the short time allowed meant it was a rush and not a good job. The composites leaked which would lead to decay beneath the filling.I discovered that a biological dentist was expert in this work and that there was one in Edinburgh. Neeraj also has a less intrusive X-ray machine and all the latest and best technology. I spoke to him and his attitudes to health were in sync with mine. He is a careful perfectionist-- good qualities in a dentist -and explains the options clearly and allows client to decide on their preferred treatment. More time and attention to detail means a much better final product. I have spent a long time in the dentist's chair as I had many mercury fillings but it has been comfortable, painless and I am very satisfied with my lovely new white teeth. I have a digestive illness but without mercury and with perfect teeth that improve my chewing I am a fit and healthy 70 year old who is very glad I found Neeraj and Integrated Dental Care. All the staff are lovely and have made me feel very much at home there.

The two and a half hour drive from Aberdeen to Edinburgh was worth it. We were warmly welcomed, offered tea/coffee and made to feel comfortable. Neeraj was extremely kind. He tried to make me feel at ease and listened to my concerns attentively. The dentist’s chair was extremely comfortable. I have a pretty severe phobia of dentists, and after a previous bad experience, hadn't been to the dentist in seven years. I knew I had to do something, and google took me to Integrated Dentalcare and Neeraj Puri - "Dental Phobia Certified Dentist". From the first phone call (which itself was a massive struggle) everyone was so understanding and helpful. My first consultation with Neeraj was in an ordinary room, not a dentist's chair, and we discussed options. It seems I'd been a victim of "drill and fill" in the past, whereas Neeraj is all about preventative dentistry and encouraging the patient to really care for their own teeth. I've now been seeing the hygienist every three months and Neeraj every six months and can't recommend them highly enough. I always feel in control - if I need a time out, I can take it. If I want cleaning done by hand rather than machine, I can. Unsurprisingly, I did need one large filling and one extraction two years ago, and after discussion with Neeraj opted for sedation dentistry. It was an expensive option, but right for me and meant I got work done that I needed and wouldn't have been able to do otherwise. And thanks to their ongoing preventative approach, I haven't needed any work since. If you're terrified of dentists - pick up the phone, you won't regret it.

Today I had my final fit for a long awaited implant. It has been a fascinating adventure. After many many years of suffering and fighting gum disease I arranged a consultation with Neeraj Puri to check out the possibilities and costs of having dental implants. Neeraj talked me through the procedures step by step and the costs. He recommended that I have all my top teeth extracted and that I would require 4 or 5 implants. I was really concerned about having all of my top teeth removed but Neeraj put me at complete ease and assured me that he would look after me on the day and would administer pain relief as necessary. I underwent dental implant treatment at Integrated Dentalcare and found the treatment and care provided of an excellent standard. Everyone in the practice combines friendliness with professionalism, which helps put patients at ease. I had a complicated replacement of an original baby tooth which had finally "given up". It involved removal of the original tooth, treatment of any infection, rebuilding of the bone, to enable it to be able to take the implant post, insertion of post, and finally fitting the made to measure crown. It was a painstaking series of procedures which took place over a year to give time for new bone to form. Throughout I was treated respectfully, and given good explanations of the procedures planned. All procedures were carried out using state of the art equipment, which together with the skill of the dentist gave me great reassurance. I would not hesitate to recommend Integrated Dentalcare.

After an initial consultation with Neeraj it was clear that my negligence combined with poor prior dentistry had led me to this point. Neeraj filled me with confidence after my first appointment and for the first time in years I felt as if someone understood my problems and could actually fix them. I contacted Integrated Dental Care on a family recommendation to have filings replaced. Dr Neeraj was incredibly gentle to the point I almost fell asleep in his chair. His work is amazing, my mercury fillings removed and replaced with white ones that look like real teeth. The man's an artist. My gums used to bleed even though I flossed around the teeth with the old fillings. After Dr Neeraj's work and advice my gums no longer bleed. On initial x-ray Dr Neeraj quoted the work with 2 quadrants showing possible decay but he would have to confirm once the filling was removed. When the work was complete Dr Neeraj advised that both quadrants were OK and ongoing good dental hygiene would manage this, keeping my bill down where I could have been charged more. Very professional, gentle and trustworthy service that I highly recommend. After almost 40 years of painful abcesses and other problems, I was fortunate enough to find someone who had the skill as well as the integrity to demand of himself the very highest standard of dentistry achievable - Dr Neeraj Puri. On completion of an intense course of repair work I was able to enjoy excellent dental health as well as a fantastic "PERFECT" set of crowns for my top teeth. At last at the age of 60 I could smile with confidence. When this year (June 2016) it became obvious I required two implants I was certain that they could never look as good as the perfect crowns they were replacing and that I had enjoyed for the last ten years. Although I had to wait several months longer than expected for the bone to grow, not only was the process pain free the results by far exceeded my expectations. The two implants were also perfect! I am delighted with the results and have absolutely no fears about pain or worries about aesthetics if and when implants are needed in the future. It is well worth the travel from South Wales for such an exceptional dentist and his delightful and efficient staff. I can never thank Dr Puri enough for the difference he has made not just to my smile but also to my general health.

Having a dentist phobia meant I’d not been to a dentist in 30 years - when I broke a tooth and realised I had to go, having a phobia was a major issue. We researched and found this practice and, with sedation tablets I went. I can’t speak more highly of the way the entire team treated me. Neeraj talked calmly and positively about my teeth, made a plan of treatment courses and put me at ease – his manner is perfect for those afraid. When I did get my first treatment session, with sedation tablets to calm me down, there were no loud drills, feeling like my heard was going to exploded, horrible mouth wash or even any pain! I was given an injection, felt nothing thereafter, despite having a filling, and simply listened to my music. I’ve now been to subsequent sessions on my own, don’t take sedation tablets or getting stressed about it. I never thought I could be so calm about the dentist – honestly it’s amazing.

I have been dentistry-phobic for a over a decade. But on Christmas Eve a little piece of one of my amalgam-filled teeth broke off and I knew that I needed to just face my fears and get all my teeth looked at. I searched for and found Neeraj Puri, certified for us dentistry-phobics online and made an appointment on the web. I was very nervous and crying even before I said 'hello' to him, but he was wonderful at putting me at ease and talking through everything, in a comfortable room away from all the dentristy equipment. He answered all my questions and we talked through all my fears. Over the course of a few appointments I have a new ceramic, tooth-coloured onlay in place of my amalgam filling and a composite filling in a second cavity. Although I have been very nervous and tearful in most of these sessions we have worked through it together and I know my teeth are in safe hands. I trust Neeraj in my mouth. Biting the bullet, or anything else! Let's face it, it's pretty scary when you're in your mid-fifties and looking forward to savouring the finer things in life, including good food, but your teeth are getting longer and looser! I lost a tooth and was told that I would lose more teeth and that it was gums that were the problem. After a CT scan my bone density in each jaw was assessed to be possibly sufficient for implant surgery, and since I really enjoy my food and the odd glass of wine, I didn't seriously consider compromising my ability to taste by opting for removable false teeth which cover a larger surface of the pallet than prostheses mounted on implants. After much internet research, talking to friends and going through the options with Neeraj, I committed to going for implants through the method of same day extraction-implant and prosthesis fitting. The advantages were expected to be that the extraction hole sites provide an excellent foundation for growing bone, stimulated by the extraction, to mesh with, and bond to, the implant material. After opting for desired tooth colour and "look" a prosthesis was constructed to match natural facial features, for example, eye-white colour and "smile". The teeth from my upper jaw were extracted and 6 implants were fitted in one long day and the temporary pre-assembled non-removal prosthesis was customised to fit while I was being operated on. I can't pretend that the experience was comfortable but I was really looked after well and went home that night with brand-new teeth in my upper jaw. After several weeks I was able to make the transition to semi-solid and then proper solid food and I was delighted. Over the following months the healing process and bone growth was monitored regularly and I was very pleased with how well the implants were taking. After 3 months, eating was more pleasurably and I was more confident in what I could eat than I had been for many, many years. Another major positive is that I could rest my head sideways on a pillow without feeling that my teeth were moving! Lower jaw bone density is higher than for the upper jaw and I was to have only 4 implants installed after extraction of the lower jaw teeth. Everything went extremely well except one implant would not seat properly, so I did have to wear a removable lower jaw prosthesis for a while. When my mouth had recovered, a fifth lower jaw implant was fitted, at no expense to me, and we opted to move directly to fitting a permanent non-removable lower jaw prosthesis rather than a temporary non-removable one. This strategy saved time and money but meant I didn't get used to the "biting" power I had. Consequently I inadvertently damaged some of the teeth. I soon learned how to moderate biting and could eat apples and steaks as though they were my own natural teeth. I was and I am still delighted. I have been completely candid. I had many fears: will I need a bone graft? Will the implants take? How will I not bite my tongue inadvertently? Etc, etc. On each issue, and many others, Neeraj and his team explained risks, dangers and benefits in objective terms often citing examples from their own and others' clinical experience and research findings. I felt completely satisfied throughout the whole procedure, from the initial advice on timing through to leaving after my final check-up for "bite" alignment, that I was in the best hands. Each and every one of the clinical support staff were brilliant in their competence, care and support. If you have to have this type of work done, Neeraj and his team at Integrated Dentalcare are who should do it. One of the big reassurances for me was that Neeraj made it clear that he would not operate if he didn't think that the work would be successful. Five months on I am not even aware that I have prostheses. I can eat what I want, my ability to taste is completely unimpaired, my smile is terrific and natural looking, and; I have more reason to smile..... the costs were lower than anticipated!
