This is the first dentist I’ve went to that I’ve felt really comfortable! I can be quite an anxious person and have had some pretty poor experiences in other dentists. The last dentist I was at, I felt so uncomfortable and felt that things get going wrong and that I was always trying to be sold something, but I don’t feel any of that here. I feel comfortable and really have trust in my dentist and her assistant (Natalie and Jennifer). Both very light hearted and know how to put me at ease.

Been a patient at this practice for a few years, really professional staff, appointments are relatively easy to get considering covid back log. Currently in the middle of Invisalign, staff give great feedback and provide realistic expectations of whats possible for my teeth. If you’re anxious about visiting the dentist i recommend coming here, lovely laid back vibe to this place. Was worried about any type of procedure due to my horrendous gag reflex, they listened and worked around it ✅ Staff are great ✅ Only flaw is if you have an appointment near school hours your options for parking are virtually zero.

Dr Ibrahim has been amazing with all of her help. She was able to accommodate me accordin to my schedule as an emergency which in these days is almost impossible on the NHS. I was very anxious before my root canal treatment however, she was very calm and handled it extremely well. I felt minimal discomfort during and after the procedure and she did a fantastic job. She has always made me understand the importance of all treatments and why each was required. I have not had any problems following any of the treatment received. Most recently she did a fantastic job fitting in a crown for me and I would highly recommend her for all dental treatment.

David is Fab, injections on the gum above front teeth & roof of mouth no watery eyes or horrible taste did not feel a thing 4 teeth extracted. Best appointment ever. Hope he’s as good with a drill if I ever need a filling.?😁. Dentist of the millennium

I joined the practice in April 2017 as I was interested in their cosmetic dentistry they had available and the practice was recommended to me by a friend. I was fitted with "Quick Straight Teeth" clear ceramic braces and it is the best decision I have made. Liam McLaughlin is the dentist who fitted the brace and him and the other staff have been fantastic. I cannot recommend this practice enough, Liam took me through every option available for me and gave me honest and good advice as to what would be best. The staff recognise their patients by greeting you with your name and clearly take the time to get to know their patients. It was a big decision to go through the treatment but it was eased by Liam and the staff, I only had them on for just less than 6 months and the difference it has made is incredible. Anyone looking for a new practice should consider Avondale :).

I couldn't wish for a better dentist!! I switched to Avondale Dental Practice after feeling terribly frustrated with my previous dentist. From the welcoming reception staff to the hygienist, all the staff are professional and caring. I recently needed some cosmetic work following an accident and Mairi and staff showed such genuine interest and care towards my treatment. Overall the service I received was superb and the quality of work exceptional. I can't speak highly enough of the practice - Mairi MacLean gave me back my smile!

Excellent treatment and friendly, efficient service! Recently I received implant treatment from Liam McLaughlin at the practice. From start to finish, my treatment was extremely professional and Liam really made me feel at ease and part of the decision-making process. I couldn't be more pleased with the end result and how the new tooth settled immediately within my mouth. Liam has also fitted me for a teeth whitening kit and I am really happy with the results. Overall I would recommend anyone to under-take treatment with Avondale Dental Practice. My family and I have also received excellent treatment from Dentist Mairi Maclean and Hygienist Jolene Pinder, during our 5 years with the practice. I had a genuine fear of visiting the dentist. I experienced some nerve damage when having a filling aged 15. Therefore, my only adult visit (over 20 years ago) for the removal of teeth to make space for my wisdom teeth, was under sedation. In mid December 2019, I was in excruciating pain. Getting worse by the day. I knew I had to pay the dentist a visit. I checked 6 or 7 places in East Kilbride and Glasgow. I sent emails explaining my nervousness. Donny came back first, within an hour and booked me a consultation with Mairi for just a couple of days later. At my consultation, I explained my past experiences to Mairi. Unlike visits to other practices before, she listened intently to these. She reassured me that the work I needed done was straight forward for her to do. Although it was fairly urgent. I had the option of getting it done in a day or two. Or potentially being in A&E over the Xmas period were her words to me. Her ability to be completely open with me as to the consequences of no treatment convinced me to have this work done. I got my first round of treatment just under a week before Xmas. Root treatment, top and bottom and 2 fillings. I was in absolutely no pain or discomfort over the festive period as she had assured me. I had 2 subsequent appointments and on both occasions left the practice feeling absolutely fine. I have visited the hygienist, Keri, and found the treatment from her to be excellent also. Mairi has a manner of reassuring you, combined with the confidence she has when working on you, which has quickly gotten me to trust her completely when sat in the dental chair. Not something I ever thought would happen given my past experiences elsewhere. In addition, her friendliness and good humoured nature made the whole experiences feel very easy. Despite the practice and staff being busy, I have never had to sit in the waiting area with any more than 1 or 2 people. I.e It is not crowded. Nor have I had to wait more than a couple of minutes after my appointment due time to be seen. On the whole, I found all staff at the practice to be very helpful and friendly. I cannot recommend this dental practice and Mairi highly enough. If you have a genuine fear (or even if not) of dental work, as I did only a few months ago, then this is the place to go.

Mairi talked me through everything, it was more or less painless and she put the right amount of filler in the right places. I had been all over Glasgow for cosmetic consultations before I came here. My decision was made instantly. So much that I registered as a patient and left my old dentist. I can't remember ever not having issues with my teeth and everything was sorted before I could start my cosmetic work. I first visited this practice due to the fact that they were an Invisalign approved practice. I had my initial consultation with Liam McLaughlin who guided me through my different options to achieve the perfect smile i've always wanted. After opting for the full Invisalign package, my impressions and x ray were all taken very quickly (the practice were very accommodating with my appointments during my lunch hour) and i was able to begin my treatment within a matter of weeks. I am now almost finished my Invisalign treatment and about to start the whitening process and so far i can only sing the praises of Liam and the rest of the staff at the practice.

I have been going to the practice since 2003. I have had a lot of work done,Crowns and fix Bridges. Mairi Maclean is very good and keeps up to date with the latest technology. The team are very friendly and caring. Jolene Pinder the Hygienist is also very good. I would recommend 3 or 4 visits a year. Prevention and good dental hygene is a good idea.

Excellent Dentist, Botox for migraines! Life changing! I have been getting migraines now for about 15 years.(At least once a week, sometimes more than that) I have been to the doctor now on numerous occasions and have taken every type of tablet I can get. I saw Dr Mairi Maclean for my check-up 6 months ago and she could see that I grind my teeth. I said I do this at night when I'm sleeping and think it's due to stress. Mairi asked me if I had ever tried Botox before to relax the muscle and stop the headaches. I didn't know you could even get Botox to help them!! It was getting to the point where my migraines were taking over my life so I jumped at the chance, I was willing to try anything. The Botox kicked in About 4 - 5 weeks after I had it done and I didn't get another headache for 5 months, I went back for my 6 month check-up and got it done again. This is amazing to me as I can now go about my every day life and not have to think about missing out on anything due to my migraines.
