Prompt response by Lorraine to my email requesting a new patient appointment and booked in within a couple of weeks. Seen by Becky and Louise, what a lovely team. Exam, xrays and hygiene treatment completed as well as a couple of white fillings on the same day as there was time to do so. Booked in for 6 months. Felt cared for and relaxed at all times. Feb 22: I have been to see the hygienist today for my 6 month appointment, as she knows I hate the cold water against my teeth, she suggested a scrape today instead; my teeth feel much cleaner and I haven't left the dentist office feeling like they are on edge. An amazing service, thank you!! I have been with this dental surgery for over 10 years and I cannot recommend it enough. The staff are all super friendly, helpful and very good at their jobs. If you are in any way nervous about visiting the dentist, this is the place for you!

I have been coming as an NHS patient to Chelwood Dental Practice for several years and always been very happy with Mr Neil McPherson and Mrs Debbie Bennett and associates. They have always treated and advised me well made me feel at ease and the practice is the best around. But sadly the only downside I have is concerning my health. I have a lot of concerning health issues and over the last 3-4 yrs I spent time in hospital having several operations. So during that time and inc the Covid pandemic lockdown in 2020 I was unable to come for any treatment. Eventually when I was well enough to come I was shocked to be told I was no longer on the NHS list and taken off without my knowledge. Now I am retired and on limited income I am worried unless I can be reinstated, I will not be able to pay for a regular dental plan to cover any future extensive private dental work I might need.

After an awful weekend with severe toothache I called Chelwood (my dentists) first thing on Monday morning and they had me in 3 and a half hours later. The dentist was fantastic, not only solving my problem with ease but also just her whole demeaner was so calming and comforting and as someone who is not at all a fan of the dentists, she made the experience really quite pleasant. Had my appointment with kirstie for some composite bonding. For years I've been un happy with my gap and today kirstie has made me so happy. Very minal non invasive treatment to close a gap has made a massive difference to my appearance and I could not be more happier. The treatment was quick kirstie was very gentle and caring as was bushra her nurse. If you are wanting non invasive treatment I would definitely recommend. Wish I had done it years ago. After being a dental patient at Chelwood dental for just under a year and receiving excellent care, I chose to have Botox with Dr Debbie Bennett and I wouldn’t go anywhere else. I wasn’t sure if this was the right procedure for me but after my initial consultation she recommended areas to target which would achieve my desired result. What I liked about this was I felt she really listened to me and gave a professional opinion too, so often I hear of aesthetics clinics trying to maximise profit whereas Debbie actually told me I’d need less than I thought to achieve what I wanted - and she was right! The procedure was painless and her aftercare advice was excellent. I was quite nervous having never having had it before but I completely trusted her and she put me at ease. The environment at Chelwood dental is spotless and every member of staff I’ve met are friendly, knowledgable and professional. My Botox is exactly what I wanted, it’s given me so much more confidence! Also, Dr Debbie Bennett has performed check ups on my two young children (1&3). To be honest, I was dreading it and wasn’t sure how they would tolerate it but she was amazing with them; she got them involved and was brilliant at distracting them. My eldest actually asked me if we could go back! Thank you Debbie we will see you soon!

Due to Covid I haven’t been able to have my teeth scaled and polished for 18 months. I paid privately for the service rather than wait for my next available checkup and it was the best thing I ever did. The treatment was carried out by Kirsty Chan was absolutely fantastic.I don’t think my teeth I have ever been as clean. I have booked the service again for six months time.

Split one of my molars and was in agony. Helpful receptionist got me in with the practice 3 hours later with Dr Bennett and tooth was extracted with no fuss. Always found this practice and the staff to be great. Week before had been in with same tooth with Dr MacPherson and again had equally as good experience. Had my appointment on 26th Feb 2021. Got cavity filling and the other side shelving of the tooth. I was finding problems with the tooth got shelved. Waited for 3 days, but when problem continued called CDC to check if I can have another appointment? Was told to clean the teeth properly, doctor is very busy and shall call you later sometime. Thinking, Dr might be really busy, given more than 2 weeks and patiently waited for her call. But, seems no sign of it. Hence, writing this review to convey my msg to CDC that being a Dr myself I strongly believe (and follow in my practice) post-procedural care is equally important and should be considered if a patient is having any concern. Sorry, usually my experience with CDC is good, but given 3 stars based on my experience on this visit only. Thanks

I have too many' shared experiences ' to write! ... I will sum it up by saying that I have had very troublesome teeth for 30 years mainly due to grinding them. They become very problematic & loose which eventually leads to urgent treatment. This practice will do its upmost best to get you seen asap. It gives you such peace of mind. Once again my smile has been given back to me with such great service given by a new member of my dental practice that I had not met before. It was like meeting old friends ( even with his assistant). My front top tooth had yet again broken away due to my terrible grinding in the night. I leave always feeling so relaxed & confident in such marvellous care & attention that I have received. Even the staff behind the scenes, that you don’t always see but have worked at this practice for a very long time don’t forget you & are happy to help & assist you. I have a disability & they are so caring & attentive to my needs. I never want to ever have to leave this practice ! Thank you ! Can’t recommend it more. Been for my regular check up. Love the professionalism of how we check in upon arrival and then when called for then greeted warmly at the door. I had an appointment with the dental hygienist and I can say that she did the most amazing job of a thorough deep scale treatment, the dental nurse accompanying was also very calming and professional . She took her time, and explained the cause of the problem and also took time to show me the correct flossing technique. I thoroughly recommend this treatment if you want to keep your teeth in tip top condition.
