Reviews of Dr. M Amir Dental Surgeon

Mr Amir has literally transformed my life. I have been a patient for 8 years and presented with several issues, TMJ, deep bite, cross bite, neck pain, foot pain, heart palpitations, breathing issues, chronic exhaustion, inability to work or to go out and cope with general day to day living, a whole life collapse was in progress. I have found the Mr Amir and Margaret extremely professional, knowledgeable, supportive in comparison to the 6 other dentists I tried first. If I had not found Mr Amir I am unsure how I would have coped with the rest of my life with the symptoms. My symptoms eased within hours of wearing the appliance and have I have continued to go from strength to strength. I still get the nerve tingle pins and needles or creepy crawly skin sensations but its very mild and only couple of times a day.

Since my childhood I have seen people, thank my mum that her brother is a blessing for human beings and has a blessing hand. In particular I recall this incident where an old lady said her son suffered severe shoulder pain. He had traveled the World for treatment but without luck. It had been years he was suffering had CT scans, tests etc had eaten so much medication that he nearly lost his job and had given up as Dr's said that pain will take his life. One day he just happened to visit M Amir surgery and his pain was relieved. It was a pressed nerve and without any tooth extraction he recovered. I heard this with my own ears from that lady. No relation to us but she came to thank my mum at home who was not even aware of this. As later when they found out which family Amir was related to. It's a culture thing, people go to thank. Usually it was at weddings people would walk up to my mum and thank her that her brother treated their brother or relative who reside in UK and were suffering for years etc. But to personally pay a visit to someone who is so junior to them in age and thank them left me and my sister in awe. I recall a few years ago upon my visit to the UK Uncle Amir mentioned he is retiring at a family gathering. I insisted that he should not as I knew he was helping people recover and saving lives. I knew it would be a great loss as he is one of the most knowledgeable dentists in the World. Today what I saw on Google and read about the GDC I'm heartbroken. I feel guilty that I changed his mind to continue working. If I had not interfered, he would have retired then and been enjoying his retirement and not going through this. I don't know what to say. God forbid if anything happens to him, I will personally hold the GDC responsible. Please whatever misconception you have about M. Amir please clear it. I don't even know if I should ask Uncle Amir what happened as in our culture we respect our elders but my heart goes out to him. He takes his work very seriously and wellbeing of his patients. I'm very upset I'm not even in the same country as he is. I only visit every few years and meet my relatives. He is a wonderful person, always there for everyone and us. God placed him in this position God will help him. Everything happens with God's will. I was homesick today and thought let me check on Google whomever I miss I Google them and I saw this. I've not slept a wink since then. It was in the news, Her Majesty, the Queen has back problems and missed the Rememberance Day service and other appointments. I would suggest she visit him and I'm sure with God's Grace she will recover. I'm so confident about Mr Amir's treatment. Infact he should be honored with one of the Queen's Awards. Or should I say this is racism on the part of the GDC. It seems like so to me, after reading all the reviews on the GDC site. Or is it Jealousy?

I strongly recommend Dr. Amir. He is so wonderful and thoughtful, and his unique treatments can save people who suffer obscure pains and illness for a while.
Thanks to his professional treatment, my jaw arthritis suffered over 20 years are cured in 1 month after started seeing him, while other doctors and dentists couldn’t help me and I could open my mouth only an inch with pain for a really long time. Also my terrible teeth alignment has been fixed and set in beautiful lines since taking his treatment for 4 months without any painful treatments. After started taking his treatments, I could breathe more deeply, sleep better, and live my life without mysterious pains thanks to Dr. Amir.
Dr. Amir treats our permanent teeth very carefully in treatments. And he always sees and listens to patients very well to find out what causes their health issues.
If you have been suffering obscure pains and illness now, I recommend you to see him and his take his treatment.

During my treatment Dr. Amir was always very professional, kind hearted and knowledgeable. I really feel for Dr. Amir as he loves his profession and current dental research.
He fixed my lack of sensation within a short space of time in 2005. Unfortunately I went to Australia and did not finish my treatment. I now have dental issues plus neurological symptoms from long Covid. I am relying on Dr. Amir to fix this. Really hoping that the GDC change their stance the about suspension. Wishing Dr. Amir all the best and a huge thank you to him for his help.

While searching on the internet for a more lasting solution to my severe hip pain, I am so grateful to have found Dr. Amir, who is one of a kind! I was so thrilled to read on his website that he not only treats back pain, but has had success with helping patients heal from a multitude of serious chronic health issues— which I have also suffered from for the past 14 years. I read on his site that wisdom teeth extractions and unnecessary orthodontic interventions can be a root cause of many chronic illnesses, and I realized I fit that description completely. It suddenly clicked that the downward spiral of my health corresponded with having all four of my wisdom teeth out at age 17!!!
When I saw Dr. Amir he confirmed my suspicions that the unnecessary orthodontics and extractions I had were causing a lot of my problems (chronic fatigue, digestive issues, inability to gain weight, inability to exercise, neck pain, hip pain etc). He also said I couldn’t breathe adequately because my jaw was now so misaligned, and breathing is of course critical to health!
Ever since I embarked on the treatment in January, I can say that I have felt definite and exciting improvements. Very soon after Dr. Amir gave me my first brace, the hip pain I had been suffering from vastly improved and is now almost gone. I had been continuously seeing a chiropractor for almost three years prior to this, who had only been able to offer me two-week periods of relief after every treatment! Over the past several months, more and more color has come back into my face, for the first time in 14 years. I have less trouble falling and staying asleep, and I get less fatigued while working. I don’t have to eat quite as much to stay full or maintain a decent weight- and I believe this is because my digestion is gradually improving. I am a singer and the improvement in my stamina and breath control since the treatment started has been significant and wholeheartedly appreciated. I still have some way to go in regaining my energy and being able to exercise and live a full life, but I know there is still more work to be done on my jaw. I feel confident that I will continue to feel gains with Dr Amir’s treatment, which is proving to be so crucial for me.
Dr. Amir is a rare doctor and a rare human being, as many of his other reviews will also confirm. He is dedicated to real healing and understands there is something fundamentally wrong with the way most chronic illness is “diagnosed” and handled. His revolutionary treatment deserves to be much more widely known and implemented.

Dr Amir is amazing and has transformed my teeth- the NHS wanted to extract 4 teeth which would’ve been terrible. Dr Amir widened my mouth, straightened my teeth and in turn helped my posture immensely. I hope that he reopens soon as after years of amazing treatment from him it would be devastating to not be able to finish my treatment. We love Dr Amir and I couldn’t recommend him more highly.

Dr. Amir has been my dentist for many many years and would not go anywhere else even though I live at the other end of the country. He is the most capable dentist I have ever come across and had it not been for him I would be continuing to suffer with scoliosis and anxiety. I'll always be grateful for his incredible knowledge, expertise and kindness.

Since coming to Dr Amir, I have experienced significant improvement in the migraines from which I regularly suffer. I also had dental crowding, which he resolved without the extraction of four healthy teeth (as had previously been put to me as the only solution by another orthodontist). Dr Amir resolves problems such as malocclusion and jaw imbalance through a gradual and non-invasive process, creating balance, and in doing so, restoring health. He works incredibly hard to do his best for every patient, often working overtime, and consistently supervising their progress throughout the duration of his treatment. I highly recommend him as a kind and dedicated practitioner.
P. K.
I have heard about Dr Amir from a couple of friends, but when I read his reviews I just knew he would be the person to be able to fix my jaw and occlusion that has been a reason of a lot of pain, asymmetry and wearing down my teeth. My problems began when I was a child because of the practice of different careless dentists and orthodontists. For the very first time in my life I could trust the dentist from just a quick conversations we had with dr Amir, therefore I was gobsmacked hearing that he's been suspended by the GDC for the good job he's doing! We can't wait for him to be able to work again!

Dr Amir has been my dentist for over 10 years. He is first and foremost a superb and knowledgeable dentist. He is also gentle, patient and kind. He has helped me enormously with braces that straightened my teeth and also helped me with my hip movement. Before Covid I met many people in his waiting room who had also been helped by him. It's rare to say that you look forward to going to the dentist but I really do as it's always a joy to see Dr Amir and Margaret. A great man and well ahead of his time with his in-depth knowledge of the jaw and its' relationship to the rest of the body.

I am a retired Police Officer and have known Dr Amir for many years primarily as a result of his treatment of my late wife for severe neck pain.
As a retired Police Officer, it has at times become a requirement to make instant judgements of people and my immediate impression of Dr Amir was that in addition to being a dedicate and skilful professional, he is a quietly spoken, calm, compassionate, sincere and honest man whose only objective in life is to provide a very caring service to others which he seems to successfully achieve. His expertise and skeletal-symmetry treatment certainly provided very noticeable relief for my wife and she had no hesitation in re-visiting Dr Amir when considered necessary. Being so impressed by Dr Amir, he is now my dentist.
He is a man I would fully trust to provide the best possible service to any patient and perhaps the General Dental Council would be wise to remember this and see him as a credit to the profession.

I am 56 year old Chartered Surveyor who suffered chronic back pain in my 20's and 30's. I had to make an appointment to remove 4 wisdom teeth some 25 years ago at my new dentist in Wandsworth; the 1st time I met Amir. After a successful extraction he asked me if I suffered back pain, as he could see my jaw was mis-aligned. I said yes and over a period of 2 years using various mouth braces, breathing exercises etc I was able to reduce my pain by 90% and increase my mobility enormously. Other than 1 relapse I have lived a completely back-pain free life for 20 years. It may not be conventional but it works for me and many other people so I consider myself very lucky to have met Amir.
I also have high blood pressure; Amir suggested a small brace and to apply magnesium oil. I have done this for the last 4 weeks and my BP has reduced from 160/120 on medication to 138/95.
I have no doubt about Amir's ability or integrity. He is not a crook or a charlatan and I hope he will continue to heal patients for years to come.

Dr Amir has done an incredible amount for me and my family for more than 20 years. A single appointment with him should be more than enough for anyone to realise his is the only dental clinic you should be visiting. He is as revolutionary and he genuinely cares for each and every one of his patients.

My symptoms first started after having Orthodontic treatment when I was about 14. I first noticed jaw pain. It hurt to chew food and I was getting headaches a lot. I saw a number of doctors who said I had tension headaches and gave me jaw exercises which did not work. I went back a few times to be told the only thing they could do was surgery to remove some of the cartilages in my jaw joints but I could come out worse they explained. I gave up at that point and just put up with it.
Over time I started to get other symptoms such as back pain, pain around my eyes, numbness in different parts of my body, neck pain and a lot more. I also felt like I was losing strength on my left side. Again I saw a lot of different doctors and even went to a chiropractor. I tried everything. The doctors did a lot of tests on me but they all came back normal. I was then told if I kept returning with these symptoms they would more than likely diagnose me with MS. I was a bit shocked that they would diagnose me with this with all the tests coming back normal.
This is when I did a lot of research and finally came across Dr Amir. I have only been treated by him for 2 weeks. He is very knowledgeable. He has a lot of experience in treating people like me. I was expecting him to only look at my teeth but he examined me from head to toe. He explained in detail why this has happened and why I have these symptoms. The cause was teeth being removed and my jaw not sitting in the correct position. He asked me to put my jaw in a correct position. I immediately felt different. After I was fitted with the first appliance I noticed my breathing was a lot better. My chest always felt like it was being pressed on and it was hard to take a deep breath. After putting the appliance in I felt this release and my breathing improved.
After 2 weeks I have noticed that my back pain is almost gone. This was pain that would make me take regular breaks at work. I sleep better. I would normally wake up 3 to 4 times a night. I now sleep straight through. I have more energy already. I still have some symptoms but it has only been 2 weeks and the improvements are life-changing already.
I highly recommend Dr Amir. He is very kind and caring. Finally, I have found someone who knows what he is doing with my body and can treat it without me taking lots of medication. Dr Amir is not just a dentist he is a genius

I suffered with lower back pain since I was 12 years old. My friend put me in contact with an excellent osteopath. He did some wonderful work on my back and after some sessions he said my back was fine, however I was still suffering with lower back pain. He told me that sometimes poor or unnecessary dental work could cause lower back pain. He recommended I go and see Dr. Amir.
My first appointment (April 2009) with Dr. Amir was the beginning of a journey to a much healthier and happier me! I found his approach refreshing, it was very holistic and this really resonated with me.
Firstly, he asked me to stand in front of him and breathe, I wasn't breathing properly, Dr. Amir's first accurate diagnosis of me. He then asked me to put my teeth together and push against his arm, I did and I was shocked at how weak I was. He then put some marker on one of my central incisors and he asked me to line up the marker with the gap in my lower middle front teeth. When I did this and then pushed against his arm, I had at least 3 times the amount of strength then the previous time.
Dr. Amir explained to me that my teeth and therefore my jaw was totally misaligned and this was affecting my lower back.
When Dr. Amir looked inside my mouth, he was shocked, he couldn't understand why I had so many back teeth missing. I explained that when I was 11 or 12, I had at least 4 back teeth removed, I then remembered it was soon after that, I began to suffer with lower back pain.
Dr. Amir explained to me that as I had some of my back teeth removed that my jaw didn't develop properly. Straight away he set about to rectify this with a course of train tracks for 1 year and a retainer for 2 years to bring my teeth and thus my jaw in to it's correct position. Within 2 weeks my lower back pain was reduced significantly. He also checked my Atlas, which he repositioned.
Dr. Amir stated very clearly that the braces and the work he was doing on my mouth would only be effective if I did all the recommended exercises. If I did not do my exercises at each appointment he knew very well that I wasn't doing the exercises. He would explain to me in his kindly, non-judgemental way, the relevance of my exercises to the whole healing process.
At one stage I was told by a dentist in Ireland that I would need at least 3 root canal treatments. However, Dr. Amir replaced all my amalgam fillings without the need for any root canal treatments.
Dr. Amir introduced me to Himalayan salt way before it became popular. He also informed me of the amazing benefits and uses of the different variations of salt. After my first meeting with Amir I changed my whole oral hygiene regime and I reaped the benefits.
I always had extremely sensitive teeth and by following Dr. Amir's invaluable advice and with his fabulous dental work, I no longer suffer with that extreme sensitivity.
I have introduced some of my friends in Ireland to Dr. Amir and he has sorted out their many problems and even though they live in Ireland, they will only see Dr. Amir.
Dr. Amir has continued to be my dentist, calling him a holistic dentist is an understatement, he has been way more than a dentist to me. I can't even imagine the bad state my health would be in, if I hadn't been lucky enough to be referred to Dr. Amir!

No doctor or "specialist" could help or understand the cause of my symptoms until my consultation with Dr Amir who I found through his website. I finally got the answers that I had been looking for with my jaw misalignment causing numerous symptoms. 5 months into treatment and my symptoms are slowly disappearing. I have energy and can breathe properly and my ears are getting BETTER. No nasal spray, chewing gum and nasal balloon would ever cure me. I am only 23 and dread the position I would be in at 30 years old without his care and treatment. He is my saviour.

GDC’s Suspension of Dr Amir
I am absolutely shocked and appalled by the GDC’s decision to suspend Dr Amir who is highly recommended by his patients.
GDC have made a myopic decision and have failed to focus on Dr Amir’s successful treatment and results for his patients.
I have received successful treatment by Dr Amir. Fifteen years ago I collapsed and was admitted to hospital. I could not breathe, had low oxygen levels and sensitised to electromagnetic fields.
After tests I was diagnosed with Pulmonary Sarcoidosis - inflammation of cells in the lungs. I received no support by the hospital on how to manage this disease and was prescribed steroids with various other drugs and sent home. I could no longer function or go to work.
Upon recommendation I had a consultation with Dr Amir, who checked my jaw line symmetry and my breathing. The position of my jaw was far back and restricted my breathing. I was fitted with a brace and after several week’s I had a major improvement in my breathing. In time the brace bought my lower jaw forward and realigned the symmetry, coupled with breathing exercises.
For the first time my lungs felt better and pain free. After eight months I had an appointment to see my hospital Consultant, who presented the results of the scan for my lungs. The scan visibly presented 80% clearance of inflammation in my lungs much to the surprise of my consultant. He also warned that Sarcoidosis is permanent and usually returns after a few years. Yet fifteen years on I am doing well with no drugs thanks to Dr Amir.
Dr Amir’s treatment not only realigned my jaw, but cured decades of improper breathing and facilitated oxygen back into my lungs.
Dr Amir is thorough and precise with decades of specialist experience. The GDC must lift their suspension. Patients under Dr Amir’s care are now denied this treatment thanks to GDC. Their issues are very unlikely to be resolved by conventional hospital treatment.

“I need a Doctor not a Dentist.”
I couldn’t have been more wrong. For many years my breathing had been compromised, with NHS Doctors failing to find a cause. I have been a patient of Dr Amir for a year now and I am making great progress. There was a great relief in my chest almost instantly after the fitting of my first brace. My back pain was my first symptom to subside, shortly followed by my knee pain. My breathing has been going from strength to strength and I can’t thank Dr Amir and his team enough.
One symptom I didn’t mention was my migraines. I had been so focused on improving my breathing that my migraines were a minor issue. With that being said, I have been migraine free for a year (since the start of treatment). I had been plagued with migraines since I was a small boy, with symptoms including blurry vision and numb hands. NHS Doctors advised that there is nothing they can do and prescribed myself pills. Rather Unhelpful.
Dr Amir provided myself with a solution to my problems. It has been a breath of fresh air dealing with a Medical Professional that actually wants to find the cause of your pain, rather than just prescribing pills. The latter is the easier option.
I would just like to reiterate a point made by other patients. If you find yourself in Dr Amir's chair, consider yourself in the best chair. Dr Amir is a brilliant Dentist and genuinely wants to help you, not to mention his meticulous eye for detail. Should he have maintained the Status Quo set by the Dental Council, I would not be in the much better position that I am today.
I feel that I should mention that I am a legally trained professional and I am aware of a fraudster when I see one. I approach everything with caution and I don't believe anything until I see evidence. Dr Amir claimed that he could make me better, so I said – PROVE IT! I am now a living testament to his work.
You have improved my quality of life dramatically and I can finally return to driving.
I am forever grateful.

I cried when I read the Google reviews for Dr Amir. At last I had found someone who had treated people with the same mysterious symptoms as me. Tinnitus, vertigo, fatigue, hair loss, big black blotches which obscured my vision, neck & back problems etc. Such a long list of symptoms and here were people who'd experienced them all and were getting better.
I started seeing Dr Amir in March 2019 and my treatment is still ongoing. In this time the tinnitus and fatigue, which were my biggest problems, have both definitely improved. The tinnitus is now a low hum and doesn't have painful spikes. In terms of fatigue, I feel so much stronger and don't have to sleep for hours after doing simple daily tasks. I also got through lockdown without my neck going into spams which would normally require an emergency appointment with a cranial osteopath. I've now gone 8 months without seeing an osteopath which is the longest I haven't seen one in over 8 years.
I highly recommend Dr Amir. He's a wonderful, patient man who's helped me enormously on my healing journey.

Dr Amir is the best dentist I have ever had and I only wish I could have seen him 30 years ago. I have travelled from the North of England to see him over the past 3 years for orthodontic treatment and will continue to visit him for dentistry for as long as I can.
In my 40s I realised that my mouth was pretty much full of ‘silver’ fillings and I started getting root canals too. I didn’t understand why - I had always cleaned them and visited my NHS dentists. No one had ever mentioned my bite being ‘off'. I worried that I would soon lose my teeth altogether.
Alongside my dental problems, I also had a number of health niggles, which for a long time I put down to having a desk job staring at a computer, and only seemed to be getting worse. I was always tired (slept really badly) resulting in pretty low mood/anxiety; had a constant ‘crick in the neck’ that I’d had for years along with bad neck spasms and crepitus. My neck never felt comfortable, along with a forward-head posture I couldn’t seem to correct, and lower back pain. The constant discomfort was very very draining. I also had a period of time in my 20s when I suffered the most awful headaches for no obvious reason (although looking back, it had coincided with quite a bit of dental work).
Over the years I have tried osteopathy, chiropractic, physio, various forms of exercise, supplements etc. I even had my amalgams removed in the hope it would relieve my fatigue and stop my teeth breaking further. I continued to have dental/health problems.
Finally, after spending hours researching, I decided there was probably a direct structural relationship between my teeth/jaw and my neck/spine problems and when I found Dr Amir’s website I knew I was on the right track. He gave me a thorough examination with X-rays at the outset and I felt he was being totally honest about the method and length of expected treatment. It turned-out that I had a ‘traumatic’ bite, cross-bite and retrognathia/overbite and my arches were too narrow. This was the reason I had been grinding my teeth over the years. I was pushing 50 when Dr Amir agreed to treat me and it worked. Treatment involved a number of removable palate expanders and fixed braces, with/without elastic bands, along with swallowing/breathing exercises.
You do need to be committed to treatment (wearing the appliances isn’t that much fun) along with regular visits, but it is worth it. In my case, I had been wearing appliances for 14 months when suddenly I felt my teeth fall into a good bite for the first time ever. I nearly cried! My agonising neck pain was relieved very soon after. My sleep is much improved and I hope I can keep my teeth for much longer now that they are not constantly grinding each other down.
Dr Amir and his small team have been amazing. Dr Amir listens carefully to each patient, is highly skilled and really seems to care about his work. At all times I felt that I was being treated by a total professional with a real passion for dentistry. I am very grateful to have found him and have no hesitation recommending his services to others. I believe he is a credit to his profession and his professional body, the GDC.

I am resisting spinal surgery with the help of Dr Amir.
Dr Amir understands teeth should be positioned in relation to the jaws - NOT positioned for aesthetics. For the GDC to suspend Dr Amir from practising, it is an ABSOLUTE TRAVESTY.
FUNCTION is paramount to health. I wish I could have said this to the dentist who extracted my four premolars as a child and to the orthodontist who retracted all my teeth and bite. After years of neck pain, breathing difficulties, depression, bruxism, the list goes on... This all came to a head at the age of 36, in 2019, when I suffered a huge C6/7 disc herniation in my neck. I believe this to be fundamentally linked to my retracted jaw position because of extractions/retraction orthodontics as a child. The Forward Head Posture as a result of this obscene childhood dental treatment has given me a lifetime of neck pain and breathing difficulties.
I always knew there was something wrong, particularly with my bite. It took a year of research in agony as a result of my slipped disc to validate my own suspicions.
Private consultations (all at a huge financial cost) with maxillofacial surgeons, orthodontists, oral surgeons, and many NHS consultants at The Newcastle Dental Hospital all dismissed these claims. They insist jaw position has no bearing on the neck. This was actually said to me in front of 8 students by a leading consultant, Megan Trainer, at the Newcastle Dental Hospital - who said it was all in my mind and offered me psychotherapy, antidepressants and a splint to mask my symptoms. I fear for the future of upcoming dentists if this is what they are teaching. It is BASIC ANATOMY; if you have to retract your jaw in a bite position, there is resulting strain on the neck, and impingement of the airways.
After searching and searching for someone who could actually think anatomically and hollistically, I found the expertise of Dr Amir - who didn't prescribe me antidepressants, nor say it was in my mind, but actually proactively helped me over the past five months with my health, through his life-changing body-centred orthodontic treatment.
Words cannot express how ABSOLUTELY DEVASTATED and FRUSTRATED I am that the GDC has suspended Dr Amir from practicing. The relief I have had over these five months from dental arch expansion has been life-changing - but I was at a crucial stage of my treatment which was due to help with my jaw position and support of my already jeopardised neck.
All this has stopped at the hands of the GDC's suspension of Dr Amir and now I have NO-WHERE else to turn. Dr Amir is the only one of his kind with this understanding and expertise in the UK who can help me.
I put this to the GDC: I am resisting spinal surgery on the NHS because of the risk of paralysis. I found a treatment by Dr Amir which could ease the pain and strain of the fundamental problem causing it - which I am privately self-funding. I AM DESPERATE. Wouldn't you do anything you could to resist spinal surgery?
The GDC have taken hope away from me. Shame on them, and shame on all those dentists and institutions like them who continue to flout the wrong information on the links between jaw position and health, and insist on protecting culpability.

I first met Dr Amir 17 years ago when my youngest son needed extensive orthodontic treatment. It was a chance recommendation and after our first consultation I knew that I could not allow any other dentist to treat my son. He was on course to have four teeth extracted and Dr Amir was adamant that this was both unnecessary and dangerous for his future health. The teeth were never removed and as predicted, there was never any need to do so, contrary to the advice of other practitioners.
There followed treatments for my other two sons, one of whom had already had the traditional train tracks, resulting in him being unable to close his jaw comfortably. The other had his teeth realigned and his palate gently altered resulting in the clearing of a long term blocked nose.
Having had my wisdom teeth extracted years ago, I too had the treatment which together with the Atlasbalance has resulted in no neck pain and the miraculous disappearance of chronic lower back pain. The results of this latter treatment were immediate.
Dr Amir is a rare practitioner. He has an holistic approach to his patients and this combined with a desire to fix people’s health issues through his theories around cranial symmetry, make him unique. He is forever looking for new approaches and new ideas to help his patients.
He is also an excellent dentist.

I have been a patient of Dr Amir for over thirty years. I have greatly valued all the dental work he has carried out for me. About twenty years ago I began to have restricted movement in my neck causing such difficulty that I was contemplating stopping driving. As a deputy Headteacher of a large school some miles from my home, this would have been extremely difficult. Mentioning this to Dr Amir, he supplied me with an orthodontic brace, which I have worn for several years since. The restricted movement that I experienced in my neck disappeared the first night that I wore it and it has never returned. I am deeply grateful to Dr Amir as, prior to this, I had spent time and money with physiotherapists who had assured me that I had slipped discs but could not seem to cure the problem. Dr Amir treated my misaligned jaw, and I retuned to driving within a few days. I am very pleased with how my teeth now look too.
I have for the last few months started to get restricted movement in one arm. Three weeks ago, Dr Amir fitted me with a new orthodontic brace - instantly, I was able to move my arm freely behind my back but still had restricted movement above my shoulders. Returning to Dr Amir for an adjustment today, he said not to worry as ‘That will be easy to fix”. After some adjustment to the orthodontic brace, I now find that I can raise my arm above my head. As you would assume, I am delighted and would recommend Dr Amir to anybody with similar problems.

Having both worked for Dr Amir, and been a patient of Dr Amir's, I know how hard working and how meticulous he is when it comes to dentistry.
As an employee, I found Dr Amir to be a great and knowledgeable teacher, who was always studying and putting into practice new technological advances. Dr Amir has a great ethos of only removing teeth if absolutely necessary and his infection control was-and still is- second to none, with Dr Amir always striving to be the best at what he does. He is a fantastic employer and I wish I'd never left.
As a patient, I have returned to Dr Amir after 20 years. During those 20 years I have never found a dentist as good as him, and after having teeth and jaw problems I decided to track down Dr Amir. Due to Dr Amir's knowledge of how jaws affect other things, he has helped to sort these problems & free me of the pain I had. I can safely say I will never use another dentist again.

Dr Amir is creative, capable and caring. What he says about teeth and their impact on the whole body makes perfect sense to me and explains the problems I’ve had with my teeth over the years.
As a child in the 1960s I was considered to be goofy and, even though I was only ten and my jaw had not stopped growing, two top teeth were removed then I was given a brace to push my other top teeth backwards to cover the gaps. As a result the growth of my whole jaw was compromised and because I had more lower teeth they were all gradually squashed together. They became crooked and my lower jaw receded slightly.
Of course that whole situation prevented my wisdom teeth from coming through properly and I ended up having to have them removed as well. I never felt that my jaw was quite right. I was always aware of holding tension. This spread to my shoulders and had a knock-on effect through my back and hips to my feet.
I first went to Dr Amir after a personal recommendation when I had become acutely aware of continuously clenching my teeth, at night and during the day. With Dr Amir’s expertise and customised approach I have been able to bring my lower jaw forward, open up space for my teeth and allow my jaw to relax more into the position it was always meant to have.
During this process Dr Amir has constructed bridges, replaced old crowns and continuously monitored and adjusted my treatment. It has taken a long time and Dr Amir has been endlessly kind, patient and persevering throughout.
P. S.
Over the course of twenty years, I have seen various NHS and private Specialists in Orthopaedics, Physiotherapy Osteopathy and Chiropractic and numerous other types of musculoskeletal treatments and most recently completed 2 years treatment in specialised orthodontics to help with TMD. Some specialists have helped a little with some of my complex symptoms while some have made things much worse and I felt I was losing hope.
My initial consultation with Dr Amir was at the beginning of January 2018. After an examination and symmetry assessment, Dr Amir suggested to shift my jaw to the left and forward literally a number of millimetres and the difference in my breathing and range of motion in my neck and back was incredible, he explained this asymmetry was the root cause of my symptoms. Although I was sceptical at first I am now 6 weeks into treatment and my symptoms have reduced by approximately 40%, this is nothing short of incredible and I would not believe this if I had not experienced this. I am still in the very early stages of treatment but at last, I am feeling hopeful for the future and Dr Amir is confident I will keep improving. One amazing improvement to mention is that my 20-year habit of clenching and grinding my teeth at night stopped after Dr Amir fitted my Custom Appliance, the next morning I woke without a headache and had the best night sleep since I could remember.
After twenty years of questions, Dr Amir diagnosed my problem in a matter Of minutes and this is no exaggeration, and the proof of his treatment is that my overall health is feeling so much better.
Dr Amir’s staff are friendly and knowledgeable and his work is life-changing.
Progress update 20.06.18 - It's been six months now since starting the treatment and I'm delighted to say that the majority of my symptoms have almost gone, symptoms such as Thoracic outlet syndrome, Tennis elbow, Sciatica nerve impingement
Irritable bowel syndrome, Migraines, Brain fog dizziness, mild sleep apnea, neck and back spasms, depression (looking forward to future now), and chronic fatigue. From time to time some symptoms do come back intermittently but nothing compared to previously and Dr Amir has said this could happen during treatment but not to worry.
Dr Amir’s theory is simple, the execution of work, however, is genius, his work should be observed and studied by Doctors, Physicians, Chiropractors, and any other Health Practitioners.I do not fully understand why it is not. The implications of his work are huge and could have a profound effect in the NHS literally saving millions.
I am only halfway through treatment and will keep you guys updated on my progress
Progress update 16.02.19 – Just over a year now from starting treatment, the past few months have had their ups and downs, although Dr Amir does explain this can be the case, it can be demoralising going from being very poorly to feeling healthy to feeling unwell again, the body and teeth are literally pushed and pulled in different directions to create symmetry. For any person to underestimate the impact improper functioning of teeth and the TMJ has on the whole body is to do so at their pearl.
I think due to my previous unsuccessful orthodontic treatment my case is quite complex, fortunately this doesn’t seem to faze Dr Amir who remains calm and confident throughout which is always reassuring. Thank goodness I found him.
The past few months I have noticed a substantial increase in my energy and majority of my symptoms are dissipating.
The journey to find someone like Dr amir has taken over 20 years and it is my opinion his treatment methods should be studied and taught to any serious health professional throughout the UK and beyond to save many people suffering from this terrible condition and all its associated symptoms.
It is a needle in a haystack trying to find a dentist with Dr Amir’s skills and knowledge which should be taught and shared with all dentists, it isn't unfortunately, that's why I travel up to 10 hours to see him. He is worth it though.

I've been going to Dr. Amir for years because he is a wonderful dental surgeon and very kind man. He realigned my jaw & teeth which resolved 98% of my back & neck pain, I stand straighter, my anxiety disappeared the day he put that brace in my mouth. The lump on my nose also straightened out which was added bonus. I'm also a really nervous patient and both he and his dental nurse Margaret have been more than understanding about this and my nerves have reduced considerably when I visit as they always look after me. I now live in West Yorkshire and I still drive down to have treatment with Dr. Amir, I wouldn't go anywhere else.

I started going Dr Amir’s since the end of September (3 months).
I did not have a correct bite and two of my teeth on my upper jaw were really protruding, compared to the rest of my upper teeth. My Lower jaw was also too far back.
I have had a massive transformation with my teeth in such short space of time. My lower jaw has come forward and my teeth are now looking straight, and my bite is a lot better.
I am so glad I came here and if you’re looking for another opinion or in doubt, I definitely would recommend having a consultation with Dr Amir.
I had initially gone for a consultation with a private dentist. He barely looked at my teeth, showed me an image of someone’s teeth that were, according to him, the same as mine; when this person clearly had different problems. He also wanted to take extract a tooth that wasn’t extra, which I know is standard procedure for some dentists. He tried to assure me that this would give the best result. It left me feeling very dis-satisfied and confused.
After talking to friends and a colleague I was recommended to see Dr Amir’s for a consultation. I honestly had a really good thorough consultation; I was really satisfied with my experience and he really understood the difficulties my teeth were giving me in terms of appearance and health especially with symptoms of fatigue. I had to rest often and could barely work a full day. He made so much more sense and i was able to understand how teeth affect health and that he could do the treatment without extracting any teeth.
In just three months my health and appearance have been completely transformed. I can work a full day without needing rest. Most of all I can smile without worrying about my appearance. It is still an ongoing process, but I am very impressed as are my family with how rapidly I have been transformed. I would recommend everyone to seek out Dr Amir.

I suffered for a number of years from headaches, neck and back issues and tried various treatments such as chiropractic, osteopathy, massage etc which all seemed to help my ailments initially but then seemed to stop working. Around January 2015 my symptoms deteriorated and my visits to the chiropractor increased but to no avail. Around July that year I went to see an Osteopath local to me who told me that my jaw was out of alignment and I would continue to suffer with head and neck pain until this was corrected – this was a bit of a lightbulb moment. However, I didn’t feel comfortable with the dentist he wanted to send me to so I did my own research and stumbled across Amir’s website. A few weeks later I was sat in his practice for my assessment. Everything he told me made sense – I may have had a problem with my jaw from an early age, this couple with a few accidents and having two wisdom teeth on the left hand side extracted in 2002 exacerbated the situation. I had noticed a decline in my ability to do sport since having my wisdom teeth taken out but didn’t put two and two together until my visit to see Amir.
Unlike some reviews, I can’t say I noticed a vast improvement immediately, it has taken some time for me to feel the benefit of the treatment; this wasn’t helped by the symptoms I was suffering with from some food intolerances. With the orthodontics and sorting out my food intolerances I now feel so much better. I have been treated by Amir for just over two and a half years now and my headaches are much less frequent and severe and I hardly get any neck pain now.
I like Amir’s holistic approach and his willingness for you to call in at short notice if you are suffering; his approach towards fixing his patients health issues is superb and very different from other dentists – I wouldn’t go anywhere else now! Amir is a very caring and genuine person and always wants to do the best to stop his patients from suffering. The other members of staff are also great. I would highly recommend him to anyway needing orthodontic treatment.

I had previously posted this on the GDC google review.
I am absolutely shocked and distraught to hear that the GDC has suspended the only doctor Dr. M. Amir who can really help with a treatment that actually works! I spent many years searching for treatment for my TMJ disorder. I have been treated by many doctors including dentists, orthodontists, maxillofacial surgeons, physiotherapists, physiatrists, chiropractors and neurologists both in England and Italy. During all this time of trying many different methodologies and treatments with no success at all all my symptoms quickly worsened such as cranio-facial pain, constant tension headache, suboccipital pain, neck, back, shoulders pain, breathing difficulty, dizziness, restless sleeping and many others. I was feeling hopeless and helpless. I wasn't able to work or do normal daily tasks for so long time spending thousands and thousands of pounds in useless and damaging treatments.
Since I started seeing Dr. M. Amir in December '20 all my symtoms were eased within just a few weeks and I felt so much better. I was so happy. I just started a 2 year treatment 3 months ago and seeing how I have improoved during this short amount of time I was really looking forward to completing it and feeling like a normal person again. Finnaly my family and I were so relieved that we have found a treatment that works. Thank you Dr. Amir.
The GDC should review what they are doing and they should be ashamed of depriving all of us from a doctor who has the ability to give people their lives back. Without Dr. Amir I fear my pain will return and life will once again become unbearable.

Dr Amir is intelligent and kind and dedicated to improving his patients' health. Why his approach is not more widely accepted I cannot understand. After many years of the standard approach to my ailments I had almost given up hope of my health improving. Before coming to Dr Amir I was referred to an NHS dental hospital and medicated with amitriptyline which made it difficult to even function at work and nothing was offered to address the cause of my problems. I struggled with debilitating jaw and facial pain which left me exhausted at the end of each day and also suffered with neck and shoulder pain, poor concentration, blurred vision and balance problems. After wearing several types of brace made by Dr Amir over a period of time, the pain subsided and my vision and balance became normal, as the jaw was brought into alignment. In addition he removed all my amalgam fillings and restored all my teeth skillfully, respecting the correct jaw alignment. My heartfelt thanks go to Dr Amir and the team who are always friendly and caring and offer a service that is exceptional and unique and which I highly recommend.

Amir is a very humble genius. He has gifted my daughter with an incredible smile whilst completely sorting her sinuses and neck! We need you Amir!!! We have 2 more daughters to go! As a family we are devastated to hear you have been suspended and it is so transparent that they feel threatened by your approach and results! Fighting for u!

I’m so impressed with the care Dr Amir is providing. He is so much more than a typical dentist. I’m 3 months into my treatment and I’ve already seen major improvements in a number of areas that were massively affecting the quality of my life. I have a series of conditions including TMD, Tinnitus, Hyperacusis, regular migraines, insomnia (sleep apnoea), chronic neck pain, chronic upper back pain, lower back pain, chronic knee pain, hip pain, and stabilisation surgery after a dislocated shoulder. I have spent over 15k on various medical professionals including specialist consultant doctors, physiotherapists and other dentists. All of my conditions were being treated separately. I’ve had an awful time. Then I meet Dr Amir. What a relief!!!
At our initial appointment he spent a huge amount of time examining me ensuring no stone was left unturned. He acquired a holistic understanding of my symptoms all of which pointed to a TMJ disorder. Dr Amir diagnosed me (when no one else could) explaining all my symptoms are linked to the jaw. This was of huge relief to hear as I felt like I was falling apart. I’m only 37-years old and I’ve always considered myself to be strong until I had my wisdom teeth taken out when I was 30. I did have TMD issues before this as a result of 4 other teeth taken out when I was 12 and some altercations I got into when I was younger. After 30 my health soon took a nose drive and I couldn’t understand why. Dr Amir explained it was because my jaw had become misaligned as a result of the removal of my teeth, my jaw moved into an unnatural position. This explained many if not all of my symptoms.
Even though I’m only 3 months into my treatment my jaw is in a better position as a result I have seen dramatic improvements in all symptoms. Most importantly my sleep and Tinnitus. I’m now sleeping on average 7 hours a night and that’s been happening for the last 2 months. The Tinnitus is far more manageable improving up to 50%.
I can’t recommend Dr Amir enough. He has a professorial understanding of cranial functionality and the jaw which seems unique to his field. His website is testament to his deep understanding whereby he has written many papers explaining the problems that occur as a result of TMJ disorders. Don’t be fooled by the appearance of the practice, this isn’t a flashy central London Wimpole Street practice, nor does he charge the high fees that those dentists charge, but the treatment and service is far superior.
I’m now convinced that Dr Amir will enable me to make a full recovery in the fullness of time. I now feel far more optimistic which is great timing as my first-born (daughter) arrived 10 days ago and now feel so much stronger to handle these new challenges. I'll update this post once the treatment is complete.

I have just sent a complaint to Dept of Health & Social Care via their email site, as follows:
Who regulates the regulators?
I am writing to you in the supposition that your branch of government regulates dentistry
in this country.
There is a dispute between the General Dental Council and a Putney dentist of international repute, Dr M Amir. It seems that the GDC are trying to suppress his activities and have therefore, in disregard for the hundreds of his patients who are currently undergoing a long, careful and gentle treatment, suspended him.
Does anyone in your department have the authority to mediate this situation?
The GDC have a relatively narrow focus on dentistry and Dr Amir’s competence appears to extend beyond their remit.
In his long career Dr Amir has exceeded dentistry basics and taken on all the problems that beset people when the bones in their head are not aligned. This seems to be beyond the GDC’s competence. Unless his suspension is lifted his patients will become bed-ridden and suffer the awfulness of continuous neuralgic pain.
Dentistry is in a parlous state in this country with millions unable to pay for treatment. Patient self groups are growing in authority and the public are increasingly well-informed about health matters. The GDC should not be permitted to exclude patients from vital treatment.

Dr Amir treated me for a period of a year and a half, and has contributed in a direct and fundamental way to the relief of my chronic neck and back pain. My symptoms lasted from my late teens to my early forties and although successive treatments by various osteopaths/chiropractors/craniosacral therapists and more provided temporary relief, nothing has transformed my situation in the way Dr Amir has - his is a unique treatment that works - by first aligning the jaw and then allowing the rest of the skeletal structure to follow and correct itself. The work to my jaw is now complete and although there is still a little way to go before my body is fully aligned, my spinal alignment is vastly improved, meaning I can live a pain-free life without feeling constantly drained of energy and allowing me to breathe deeper

I was horrified to hear of the treatment of Dr. Amir at the hands of the GDC. The idea that a dedicated professional with absolute commitment to his patients and, most importantly, a methodology with proven life-changing, even life-saving, results could be suspended beggars belief.
I came to Dr Amir after half a decade of desperately searching for a solution to my TMJ disorder, receiving useless, even damaging, treatment in the care of dentists and other so-called specialists. After only 6 months of the most subtle, careful treatment by Dr Amir, I saw a huge, lasting improvement in the pain and my general quality of life His treatment is so specialised and bespoke, and you're in the best hands in his care.
The GDC should be ashamed of the decision to suspend a man with more genuine concern for his patients than all the dentists I have met put together. While I am, thanks to Dr. Amir alone, over the worst of my ordeal with TMJ disorder, there are hundreds of patients out there being deprived of urgent care by this suspension, and who will be driven into a dark place by this malicious decision. Reinstate Dr. Amir immediately.

Dr Amir not only relieved me of back, neck, knee and wrist pain; his treatment also helped me get pregnant!
After a gymnastics injury many years ago, I was left with lower back pain that developed into secondary injuries in my knee (walking with a limp and receiving steroid injections in my knee on the NHS), neck (wearing neck brace when it spasmed and getting deep tissue massages to alleviate) and wrist (that the NHS had supplied a brace for). I spent thousands on osteopaths, chiropractors, physios, and masseuses over 12 years, trying to find a way to stop the near-constant pain and feeling of sickness brought on the near constant pain (the NHS had me on remedial pain and prescribed high doses of Ibuprofen). By the time I heard of Dr Amir, I was trying to get pregnant, but had discovered I was not ovulating. 3 months of tests at home proved this.
Through the use of a mouth brace, Dr Amir was able to realign my spine resulting in no more pain, and amazingly restart my ovulation! Within 6 months I was pregnant with my first child! I now have 2 daughters and visit Dr Amir once/twice a year to make sure I'm still aligned, but will be forever thankful for the family unit he helped me create.

I had been seeing a chiropractor for about 20+ years, mainly for lower back and neck related problems, including headaches, ulcers, but jaw pain and face ache also became an issue. I then developed 2 cyst like bumps on my head and constant clicking/gurgling in my ears when I swallowed. The chiropractor said essentially it was my jaw and I should look into some form of dental help. He advised someone I did not like and I decided to get a referral from my GP to see an NHS consultant. A maxillofacial specialist however told me there was nothing wrong with my jaw/TMJD and I should eat mushy food and do less exercise. It is hard to express how frustrated and upset I felt.
My sister had seen an article about Dr Amir and his treatment and I emailed him with my symptoms and the hospital verdict, explaining how I had also had 8 teeth removed in my teens (for overcrowding) as well as 3 wisdom teeth. He said he could help and I nervously made my first appointment. (2014 October)
It was such a relief to hear that my symptoms were not a surprise to him-I also had pain after driving and would get numb feet or hands. Dr Amir said everything I was experiencing was connected to my teeth extractions and the fact my jaw had been pushed back as a result. Photos of me, when I look back now show how uncomfortable my face was! I often had to rub my cheeks to ease the aches. Dr Amir reassured me, informed me and even coped (just) when I got tearful.
Dr Amir always said it would be a long journey and the outcome not certain, but I was happy to go with it as the first removable brace he fitted resulted in the best night’s sleep I had had in ages. I am now four years down the line. I have had fixed braces and a few different removable ones. It was not always easy and sometimes painful with rubbing, especially being a teacher and speaking a lot. However, my face is how I think it should have been if I had not had all those extractions. The numbness has gone, the headaches hardly occur. One cyst fell off and the other was surgically removed. Mouth ulcers are less frequent and the face/neck and back pain hardly exist compared to what it was like. I haven’t seen a chiropractor in 4 years and will not need one again I hope. On top of that, Dr Amir has shown me how to swallow and breathe properly.
He has also treated another sister of mine, over the same time period and her health has also drastically improved. She also had had extractions when younger.
I am so grateful to Dr Amir and his team for all they have done for me. He has so many patients and yet he knows me well and gives each patient time and attention. To have braces made and fitted on the same day saves so much time and is a wonderful asset-he is a very talented dentist with a much bigger picture to general health than your standard dentist or orthodontist. His kindness, patience and desire to see you ‘well’ is special.
I don’t think I am finished yet and i am back in a removable brace at the moment, but I know I am in good hands. Huge thanks to Dr Amir and his superb team.

I first met Dr Amir when a friend sent me Bella Freud's newspaper article about how he had helped her cure her migraines. I had been suffering severely with headaches for two years and felt deeply depressed about my future as the NHS had been spectacularly unsuccessful in finding any cause or relief for these headaches which were incredibly debilitating. I was quite nervous about committing to a two year treatment which was expensive for us, having no real idea about whether it would work or not, but Dr Amir was so confident he could help I decided to try it. it took a while, longer than he first predicted, but after four or five months he had more or less cured me. He said from the beginning that I wasn't a very difficult case, because he is treating so many people who have far, far worse problems than I was experiencing. I have met such a wide range of patients with such a variety of problems in the waiting room, and it is extraordinary that a simple adjustment of the position of the jaw can have such a dramatic effect on the function of the whole body. I am a witness to the efficacy of Dr Amir's programme and have recommended him countless times to friends and acquaintances with chronic problems. It is no exaggeration to say that I am in awe of the way his treatment can help people with very severe health problems, without subjecting them to any drugs - so many of which have dreadful side effects, and the workings of which are often not properly understood even by the medical profession. Most recently I suffered from several weeks of very unpleasant bloating and nausea, feeling ill all day and worse after eating. After tests to see whether I had a tumour or an ulcer, I went back to Dr Amir who said that my jaw was out of place again and that I wasn't breathing properly. He made me a new brace within an hour, and told me he hoped I would be feeling better that very same evening. I couldn't really believe it when this proved to be true. A week later, my digestion is not quite back to normal but the improvement is dramatic and I could not be more grateful to Dr Amir. It is a tragedy that the orthodox dental community do not recognise the importance of the work he is doing, and that they are not queueing up outside his surgery to learn from him.
I consider myself beyond fortunate to have come across him and his work.

I became a patient of Dr Amir's, based a recommendation from a journalist who experienced significant improvements in her health as a result of his treatments. I have suffered various physical and stress-related conditions as a result of the repeated violent assaults I have incurred during my human rights work. Dr Amir has corrected my misaligned hips and jaw, improved my energy levels and digestion and ended my tension headaches and muscle pain. I have no hesitation in recommending him . His pioneering techniques have worked for me - and many others. As well as his professional expertise, he is a friendly dentist who takes the time to explain his treatments to his patients and to answers their queries. I am very pleased with the results.

10 years later - I credit Dr Amir with my life
I am a 52 year old American living in London these past 18 years; I work at a large professional services organisations as part of the global management team. At 28 I was diagnosed with MS in California, and they said I would likely be in a wheelchair in the not too distant future. Moving to the UK and my husband's reading of an article in the Evening Standard changed my life. The article mentioned that Dr Amir was helping people with MS, and within 3 months of that day I no longer had 'MS.' And 10 years later I can say the same...
Finally, after a 19 year journey to a symptom free life, Dr Amir was the final answer to my quest to be free from MS. It's all about oxygen and alignment; and Dr Amir is the artist / engineer / scientist / dental surgeon that is setting the standard. He doesn't give up! It was only 3 months into my treatment when I noticed some profound changes. My MS was considered relapsing-remitting but my balance had been getting progressively worse. All that changed when I met Dr Amir and I haven't had an MS symptom for 10 years. I've returned to my original strength. I wear his device at night and that keeps me in tip top shape. Thank you for giving me back my life Dr Amir! :-)

I started treatment with Dr Amir July 2020 after suffering with visual snow and dizziness for 2 years.By January 2021 the dizziness improved by about 90% and visual snow is about 70 - 80% better. Thank you Dr Amir for helping me improve my health hopefully the clinic will open soon so I can finish my treatment
S. I.
I couldn't rate Dr Amir highly enough! Not only is he a very kind and friendly man, but he's also a genius - in the way that he has come to understand the negative physiological and neurological impact that can result from jaw misalignment and such. My jaw was misaligned and receding badly. As a result, my whole body was crooked until I underwent his treatment. My shoulders and hips are no longer misaligned. His treatment has also made a very positive impact on the neurological symptoms I was experiencing. Overall, his treatment has improved my quality of life enormously! Thank you so much, Dr Amir!

I had previously posted this on the gdc google review but it was magically hidden:
I am compelled to share my opinion and review of our nations so called dental governing body; following the discovery that one of its most experienced, talented and trustworthy dentists is now being prevented to practise. Dr M Amir.
In 2018 I developed severe and chronic muscle spasms though out my orofacial region, which later over time progressed to my neck and upper airway. These commenced during and following dental treatment by a local practitioner.
I sought help from the following professionals
- GP
- Dentist
- Specialist Prosthodontist
- Specialist Orthodontist
- Consultant Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon
- Consultant Orthodontist and Professor
- Oral Medicine consultant
- Consultant and Clinical Director Neurology
- ENT consultant Clinical Director
Prior to visiting DR Amir in Dec 2020 I had the following medical conditions, listed in order of significance to myself
- Palatal myoclonus
- Orofacial Dystonia
- Myofascial pain
- Head, neck, shoulders, lower back.
- Breathing difficulty
- Neck instability and pain
- Jaw clicking, popping, muscle spasm.
- Severe facial tension, pain talking, swallowing.
The following is a short summary of each intervention or proposed treatment :
- GP , referral to maxillofacial
medication
- Dentist ,Splint, did not help.
- Specialist Prosthodontist
Splint in retruded position. Did not help and made some eye and facial spasms worse.
Acknowledged discrepancy between occlusion and muscles of mastication.
- Specialist Orthodontist
Acknowledged occlusion had been left in a very poor state. But stepped out of the way once dental hospital was involved.
- Maxillofacial surgeon
Referral to dental hospital
Medication
- Consultant orthodontist / Professor Dental hospital
Referral to oral medicine
- Oral medicine
Medication
Referral to neurology
- Neurology
Acknowledged on several occasions he had seen similar symptoms with older patients on receiving ill fitting dentures.
But referral on to movement disorder in local hospital.
- ENT
To liase with neurology. No cause found for severe breathing difficulty.
I analysed many peer reviewed publications and more importantly I spoke to many people with Dystonia, whose symptoms where being relieved and cured with dental work and custom orthotics. Specifically to reposition the jaw such that the discs were allowed to remount and any nerve impingement was removed.
Unfortunately I could find no real long term cure for palatal myoclonus, from speaking personally to many folks inflicted with this condition.
Cutting to the chase, after 3 months treatment with Dr Amir:
- my palatial myoclonus is significantly reduced
- dystonic contractions in throat reduced
- muscle spasms and cracking in neck reduced
- breathing noticeably better
- Dystonia of the fascial muscles improving. I have had several days where this has vanished.
None of these are coincidental and my family have first hand witnessed the improvements made.
I wish to express my absolute disgust that this treatment is now being taking from me. I find it imperative that the dental council are held to account for this.
The General public are being vastly failed by this organisation, one who quite clearly wants to harm the nations health. I only hope that as time progresses the media will pick up on this story and hopefully local government can get involved.
Unfortunately I do not know what the future holds.

I have been treated by Mr Amir over almost 15 years now, for various things including jaw expansion, CFS, and orthodontics. His professionalism, talent and care are second to none in my experience (I'd seen a few dentists before.) He always listens to any concerns or questions I may have, and takes the time to answer and explain things clearly. He really does care about us patients, and is totally devoted to getting the best outcome possible. I would not hesitate to recommend him highly enough. He is that rare thing, a genuinely talented and caring human being.

For me my treatment from Dr Amir has been life changing. For 10 years I had headaches, migraines, tinnitus and a weird undiagnosed but debilitating " face pain" which I was told by the nhs and private specialist was a range of things from a type of migraine, sinus infections (with sinus surgery!) and "just one of those things".
One day my mum read an article in the evening standard about Dr Amir and about TMJD and said to me these sound like your symptoms! I went to Dr Amir in 2010 at age 30 and he immediately knew what was wrong and without telling him he worked out that I had gaps in my teeth closed by a brace as a child which had caused misalignment. We spent the next few years reopening those gaps with fixed and non fixed braces and my symptoms halved within the first 3 months. By the end of that first year I was 70% improved including the tinnitus and migraines. It has improved my life so much, I was struggling to work, going straight to bed when I came home.
I now also have great looking teeth as the newly reopened gaps were filled with implants which Dr Amir put in himself.
I do occasionally get a migraine or headache but nothing like the amount I did before and when I do I make an appointment to see Dr Amir and he adjusts the appliance that I wear when I need it and I always see an improvement.
I have been seeing Dr Amir for 8 years now. Last year I had 2 migraines! And most days no tinnitus. Before coming to Dr Amir I had around 20 migraines per month!
P. h.
I have been seeing Dr Amir since i was 14. I am now 31 and would not be the happy, healthy person i am today if it werent for him. When i first visited i was not fully developed due to my jaw being too far back. The NHS dentist said i needed 4 extractions. I had no extractions with Amir and wore a fixed appliance only for 6 months and my health drastically improved. Since then he has done more work on my jaw to cure back and hip pain and also help clear ETD in my ears. If i ever have a health issue. Amir knows the cause and how to treat it.
He is more than a Doctor, he is my lifeline!

Before visiting Dr Amir, I had experienced terrible migraine and migraine visual aura along with a rare unknown condition known as visual snow syndrome. After finding out that my jaw was not correctly aligned and was causing lots of tension around my neck muscles I decided to undergo Amir's treatment. After a few weeks into treatment with a removable brace the migraines and visual aura associated with migraine stopped completely. The visual snow and its symptoms also reduced around 50% - 70% over time and while its still there to some minor degree, its minor enough for my brain to ignore it and forget its presence. I fully recommend visiting Dr Amir as his treatment approach is unique unlike any other.

I first visited Dr Amir about 15 years ago after a painful and badly done root canal with my local dentist. About 4 months later he had corrected the initial problem and completed 4 more pain free root canal treatments. I didn't know this was possible which is why I had neglected my teeth for a while! As much as I enjoy visiting Dr Amir and Margaret, I can happily say that because of the work they have done with me over the last years my visits are few and far between. I would recommend him to anyone and particularly those with other health issues you can read about on his website that he has helped cure. He cares very much for his patients and his results and reviews prove it.

Dr. Amir excels at jaw re-balancing, which benefits the entire neuro-musculoskeletal system.
I booked in to see him having struggled with neck, shoulder and jaw pain after inappropriate orthodontic treatment by another practitioner.
Dr. Amir restored my bite with night braces, crowns and a series of exercises that I carried out at home. My neck and shoulder pain issues were also effectively resolved.
Drawing on decades of experience and observation as a dentist and surgeon Dr. Amir is uniquely skilled and proficient. I can thoroughly recommend his services.

Hello, my name is Neringa I am 27 years old. I have been suffering for two and a half years from massive pressure pain all over my face, jaw, and neck, pain behind eyes, burning sensation in my nostrils, dizziness, headaches every day, panic attacks, abdominal pain, back pain, pain in my shoulders.
I have been visiting NHS maxillofacial surgeons for 2.5 years and none of them could help me or give me the correct treatment even after they confirmed it was TMJ dysfunction. The first thing they did was to give me a hard splint to wear. After one year in pain and no positive results from splint, they washed my jaw joints surgically! That did not work either.
Moreover, they got me to remove my wisdom teeth. I did that but that did not help at all. My pain got worse and out of control and at the end they gave me many many different kinds of painkillers and antidepressants and said if that won't help they do not have any more treatment for me.
I was not able to work for two and a half years and I could hardly take care of my 4 years old son as a single mom. I was struggling to look after my son. I could not work because of the intense pain. I could not get any income.
Since I first felt the pains 2 and a half years ago they got worse and worse. Finally, we found Dr. Amir Dental Surgeon and I had my first visit in the middle of November 2018. Since first visit and now which is the middle of February 2019, after Dr Amir started work on my jaws I can feel a massive difference. I feel so much better and I have now resumed work. Some of those symptoms have gone completely while some I can still feel but not as bad as before. Treatment is still in progress. Rating my pain 10/10 before treatment and now I could say pain is 5/10. On a good day, it is 2-3/10. I am very glad that I found Dr Amir. Can't wait how I will feel in a few more months. THANK YOU DR AMIR for everything you did and for everything you will do!

My daughter had lost space for one of her canines to grow through. She was assessed by five different orthodontists, including the NHS orthodontic service, and all of them agreed that the only solution was to remove four teeth to create the needed space. I thought this was a very extreme treatment and did some research on it. I soon found out how detrimental this treatment is in the long term, causing cranio-dental and skeletal asymmetry with a range of associated health conditions.
Fortunately, a friend mentioned Dr Amir. I was delighted to hear about his treatment plan for my daughter, which involved the expansion of her jaw using removable appliances. Dr Amir managed to create space for the canine which came through naturally without any surgery. Not only that, but remarkably the treatment even corrected a mild scoliosis which had previously been diagnosed.
During my daughters’ treatment, Dr Amir has been very gentle making sure that his intervention was effective but not too invasive to prevent the natural growth of her jaw. This patience and sensitivity are very rare nowadays, especially in orthodontic work. What is more, Dr Amir is an eminent practitioner in this field and his methods and knowledge should be studied and practised not only by students of orthodontics but also by orthodontists currently practising.
It seems to me barbaric that so many children are having healthy teeth pulled out when there are simple and effective alternatives. Even worse, a substantial number of people are suffering from a range of serious, life-changing health conditions that derive from current orthodontic treatment, which could be prevented by the knowledge and expertise that Dr Amir has. It is not a surprise that, during our visits to Dr Amir, I have seen people coming from all over the world to be treated by him.
I feel extremely fortunate that we came across Dr Amir and I wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone needing dental work or suffering from any health condition.

When my daughter was 25, she had a devastating stroke like episode and was diagnosed with Multiple sclerosis; afterwards she was constantly in incredible pain. The after effects included loss of vision, inability to walk, weakness down her left side, twisted her jaw, terrible migraine headaches, trapped nerves in her neck and back, numbness throughout her body, vertigo, uncontrollable tremors and much more.
I was looking for a relief method from this pain, during a Google search I found Dr Amir’s blog, it detailed how he had worked with MS patients who had shown improvement through his dental methods. I contacted him and arranged for an initial appointment, I knew I could be grasping at straws, but I would have done anything to alleviate my daughter’s pain.
We made our way to the dental surgery in Putney and during the initial appointment, (where we were both tearful at the retelling of her terrible symptoms to this point), Dr Amir took her through a series of diagnostic tests which included fitting her with his uniquely crafted ‘jig’ - this stopped the uncontrollable tremors she was experiencing immediately (the MS drugs had not been able to do this). Dr Amir kindly and calmly reassured us, explaining that he believed her health issues were exacerbated by the effects of 4 teeth she had removed as a teenager, due to a narrow jaw, and was not the MS she had been diagnosed with. He showed how she could stand straighter, how she could see clearer, how she would be in less pain if she had treatment to correct her jaw. We left the surgery feeling lighter and hopeful that we had found a treatment that would actually help her recovery from her numerous MS symptoms.
Over the next 6 years we have followed his plan; this has included a range of fixed and removable braces - all made specifically for her. She has needed at times to attend the surgery weekly and ‘winds on’ the brace herself at home. After every appointment when the brace has been adapted personally by Dr Amir, she says her vision is clearer and her stance is taller, her pain less.
This hasn’t always been easy, the journey takes us on the M25 and this can be a nightmare, however every time we have been held up, Dr Amir and the wonderful Margaret, have stayed until we have arrived (once we were 5 hours late due to a major accident!) The cost has been difficult to cover at times – but it has been worth every penny to see my daughter smile again (especially in her wedding photos), to stand tall and face the world despite her difficulties and this has been helped significantly by the individually devised dental treatment provided by Dr Amir.
We hope to continue along this path until she is able to have dental implants, to replace the missing teeth, hopefully this will stabilise her jaw and steady her vision, permanently adjust her stance and stabilise the pain. Dr Amir has always been a true professional explaining every step of his unique process and has taken a personal interest in my daughter’s progress; I am grateful every day that I found that random search result that led us to the brilliant Dr Amir and his pioneering work.

Dr Amir is exceptional. Not only is he a completely professional and meticulous dentist (and the only one I now trust), but he applies his tremendous experience to address all kinds of jaw-related issues across a range of patients, with far-reaching beneficial consequences. Every time I go to see Dr Amir, I meet more patients (including multiple sclerosis patients) in his waiting room whom he has been able to help with jaw, neck and back-related issues, which you would seriously struggle to find with any other dentist, I believe anywhere in Europe not even just in the UK. Most of all, he is highly intelligent, genuinely cares about his patients and will completely listen to what you tell him, and then try to work around that. He does everything he can to help his patients, with great success, professionalism and kindness, and we all owe a great deal to him. I hope he can continue for decades to come!

Dr Amir is ahead of his time, hopefully the dental industry will catch up!Due to having 4 wisdom teeth removed back in 1998 my health suffered.I developed frozen shoulder, numbness, dizziness and felt awful. Many dentist treated me with splints which just made my symptoms worse. When I arrived at Dr Amir's my teeth no longer even fitted together!I was in a desperate state, severely dizzy and very frightened. Luckily he agreed to treat me by carefully expanding my jaw and allowing my teeth to finally come back together. He never rushed the treatment and always listened . Thank you Amir ,Margaret and his great technician.

I started to see Dr Amir on the 18th February 2020. I went to see him regarding his cranio-dental symmetry. I have sciatica on my left side with pins and needles in my foot. I’ve been using his appliance day and night. Today I was able to walk without a stick and without pain for 20 minutes! I’ve not been able to do that since before my herniated disc before Christmas. I can’t thank him enough for all his support and his skills in this extraordinary field. I never thought I’d be able to walk so quickly after seeing Dr Amir. I’m going to continue to see him!

Much much more than a dental surgeon, Dr Amir has literally given me my life back with his unique understanding of cranio-skeletal symmetry and how to achieve it through his use of bespoke dental appliances. He has succeeded in relieving systemic pains throughout the back of my head, neck, face, upper back and persistent knee pain where thousands of pounds worth of treatments by osteopaths, physiotherapists, chiropractors etc had failed. He was able to pinpoint that the root of these troubles had been wrong orthodontic treatment in my teens that had left me physically debilitated and unbalanced and had the confidence and experience to be able to tackle correcting the results despite saying mine was one of the largest jaw discrepancies he had ever seen. Three and a half years later treatment is still on-going but as well as the huge physical improvements, he has also lifted years worth of living only a half-life, depression and sadness that this discomfort caused. Finally here is someone with a genuinely holistic understanding of health and well-being! Thank you so so much Dr Amir!!

Dr Amir is amazing and sorted my spine out threw my jaw dysfunction on on a over bite that is passed threw my family. I am not walking normally again. Before I was losing power in my energy and not walking properly.

I had suffered from neck and shoulder problems for the last 20 years. I had been told by numerous chiropractors and physiotherapists that I had body asymmetry resulting in neck, shoulder and back pains as well as hip and knee problems. One leg was shorter than the other!
I spent lots of money trying to alleviate the symptoms but was never told that the asymmetry of my jaw might have been the cause! I was told by one yoga teacher that I looked like a ‘car crash’! She never explained why but I now assume it’s because my whole left side was misaligned).
I had four teeth removed as a young teenager due to overcrowding of my teeth. (I believe the NHS culture in dentistry in the 1970s encouraged such butchery! as I later learned that this was unnecessary and had long term implications to the shape of my mouth and led to breathing difficulties).
At the age of 34 I lost a molar whilst pregnant. I couldn’t afford an implant or bridge at the time, as was advised, and over the last 20 years developed the issues mentioned above. Apparently, if teeth aren’t replaced, the jaw, losing its support, is prone to collapse. Cosmetically, I could see that my teeth needed some correction but was told by three orthodontists that I could not be treated by them as my issue was related to my bone structure (whatever that meant... I had no idea at the time). Five years ago, whilst premenopausal, I noticed my jaw drop even more (I suffered from arthritis and muscle weakness as well during this time, so possibly a cause). Pains intensified in the form of headaches, sinus issues (I had them drained) and loss of body strength. Each night I had to physically set my jaw in a certain position (probably to realign it I realised later) to enable me to sleep and alleviate my headache.
Then I met a friend of a friend who was undergoing dental treatment with Dr Amir. After talking to her I realised that he might be able to help me with my issues.
On my first meeting Dr Amir was able to demonstrate that by setting and realigning my jaw I would be physically stronger. After my first treatment when I received a brace I felt immediately better. I could breathe through my nose (I had been a mouth breather for as long as I could remember), my headaches stopped and I slept better. I really couldn’t believe it.
Over the course of the last 18 months my body is stronger and my pains reduced by a good 90%. I feel so much healthier in general. Cosmetically my smile has improved considerably and I feel much more confident because of it. I probably have another 6 months of treatment left.
I am indebted to Dr Amir and his colleagues and I feel so grateful that he was recommended to me. I have absolutely no idea how else I would have treated my symptoms.

My problems started in summer 2015. At the time I was 54 years old and physically active. However, in August 2014 I ended up losing a large molar and my bite became lopsided.
In Spring 2015 I suddenly started developing lots of symptoms.
No stamina
Physically weak
Nerve tingling in my extremities
Brain fog
Easily getting out of breath
Visual disturbances
Tinnitus
Severe night time teeth grinding
Severe anxiety
Severe stomach problems
Severe temper issues
A shattering exhaustion that never went away
Feeling very sleepy in the afternoons
Insomnia
Having to lie down for long periods of time as standing and walking were exhausting
I had to go on sick leave from work.
The doctors suggested that I take anti-depressants , I was convinced that these bizarre symptoms were not the consequence of depression but a systemic failure in my body.
I improved my diet – and took various vitamin and mineral supplements. I also did CBT which helped me to cope with the anxiety.
I also did craniosacral therapy which had a healing effect on me but it would only work for a few days then i would relapse.
These "treatments" seemed to stabilize my symptoms but due to a lack of exercise my physical condition was deteriorating.
By now I had been off work for 4 months and I went to the rheumatology department of my local hospital. I was given the diagnosis of "chronic fatigue syndrome". The highly paid consultant had no idea what was wrong with me and I was basically told to go away. After 6 months I had to go back to work as my pay was about to be cut. I had to give up cycling which I was very upset about. Quite often I would just zone out with fatigue.
Whilst browsing the web for alternative treatments I stumbled upon a reference to a "Dr Amir" who was having remarkable results with CFS sufferers by re-aligning his patient’s teeth and jaws. I located his web site and read all about his jaw re-alignment techniques and various testimonials. It all sounded plausible yet I was not yet fully convinced until on another health blog I stumbled upon a testimonial from the mother of a girl with severe CFS who Dr Amir had effectively cured. I decided to contact Dr Amir. I filled in an exhaustive online questionnaire and then went for an initial consultation.
He assessed my whole body alignment and did various kinesthetic tests on me whilst my jaw was in different positions. It turned out that I was massively out of alignment .
Initially the treatment involved a dental brace being fitted , I had to change my breathing pattern and my swallowing technique in order to strengthen various weakened jaw muscles. I had to wear the brace continually apart from eating as you should wear it as much as possible.
Initially I had to visit fortnightly then every 3-4 weeks. I started the treatment in March 2015 and I met several other patients who'd been having the treatment for 6 months plus and they reported remarkable improvements which was very encouraging.
I first noticed a noticeable improvement about 5 weeks after starting the treatment. My wife and I had to build a wood and wire run for our kid's rabbits. This involved a lot of physical work. I managed to do this with only a few rests. Prior to starting with Dr Amir it would have been impossible. The next major pointer to an improvement was when I was coming back from London into Liverpool Lime St station I had to sprint for my train – I managed it with no after affects.
Back at work I was now able to climb the stairs again. After 6 months of treatment I was back to cycling again and probably operating at 50 % of my earlier capacity. (prior to Dr Amir it had been 10 %) .
As the treatment went on I had to have various different braces and all my symptoms have slowly abated. The physical stamina/strength issues were the first to respond.
I have now done 2 years of treatment and I am practically back to "normal". I feel that Dr Amir has helped me enormously but you have to stick to the program and do as he says.

Dr Amir's knowledge of dentistry and patient care is second to none. The man is simply a genius! My teenage boys and I would have no hesitation in recommending his services, as you will struggle to find anyone in the world with more experience in Cranio facial Orthopaedics & Orthodontics. You have struck lucky finding Dr Amir.

As a CFS sufferer who also has a clicking right jaw I was delighted when I stumbled across Dr Amir's website, I thought my prayers had been answered. Unfortunately after over a years worth of treatment, in the form of various orthodontist devices, I saw little to no improvement in my condition, and couldn't afford to keep paying for a service that didn't seem to be working. The palate expanders used did widen my top jaw, but now my front teeth do not come together, so I am unable to bite thin things with them. That said, Dr Amir was a caring, compassionate, intelligent and humorous man, and convinced of his treatment methods. He always replied to my emails promptly, and would fit us in with appointments convenient to us as we were travelling down from Birmingham to see him. We enjoyed visiting him and his assistant Margaret at their dental practice in Putney. It's a real shame it didn't work out.

If the GDC were wise they would have ignored Dr Amir, leaving him to continue to help people at his Putney practice. Their attempts to find fault with Dr Amir's wholistic treatment has caused them all manner of contortion and expense. The spotlight is now on them. They are not a pretty sight.
The expediency of orthodontic extractions on little girls whose mouths are deemed too small is tantamount to Chinese footbinding and leads to neurological damage in later life, but who cares, by then, about a bunch of ageing women in poor health? Give the poor dears some happy pills.
The GDC is holding back advances in dentistry in the U.K. whilst countries in Australasia, Eastern Europe and North America streak ahead. The GDC thik they can pander to people's vanity by providing dentists who can offer people cosmetic dentistry (if they can afford it). Long term health damage can be the result. Panic by the GDC can be the only explanation for their behaviour. Now their survival as a 300 staffed bureaucracy (what do they do all day?) is open to question. If they had kept quiet they might just have got away with it.

I've been a patient of Dr Amir for over 10 years now, during this time I've had a lot of work done including orthodontics and crown and bridge work. I have always been very satisfied and the work is of a high standard.I would recommend anyone to use his practice as he takes each patient as an individual and would never carry out unnecessary work as many other dentists do in my experience.

Just wanted to update my progress since my last review. I am feeling strong and much more stable since I started my treatment for a misaligned jaw with Dr. Amir in September 2017. My bruxism has lessened and I have learned breathing , tongue positioning and swallowing techniques which have eradicated the day time clenching. My balance and co ordination are much improved.
I had presented initially with an ataxic style gait and was struggling to walk with a steady, tandem gait. MRI scans revealed some possible inflammation or demyelination high up in my brain but no conclusions were reached. I was nervous and felt I was losing my mobility to the point where I would need to use a stick. However, since beginning my orthodontic treatment, my last scan in 2018, showed no further degeneration and my balance, gait and co ordination are much improved.
Emotionally, I am so much more confident and positive since starting my treatment with Dr. Amir. For years, I was told my bruxism was down to stress, never to do with my bite but now I understand that the constant use of an array of night guards and splints only added to the problem.
I truly believe that I have found someone in Dr. Amir, who has a thorough understanding of my entire situation and I look forward to continued improving health and well being under his diligent care.

Unstoppable migraines
I have suffered from migraines for as long as I can remember. For the most part, they were mainly hormonal or came during times of extreme stress. They were not life affecting initially; I had literally half a dozen a year at most. However, by my mid-thirties, they were increasing in frequency and by my fortieth year became chronic. Horrendous pain in my neck and shoulders was causing almost daily migraines.
Over the next few years, five neurologists diagnosed Chronic Daily Migraine but could do nothing to help. They prescribed mainly prophylactic medications which generally made me feel worse and did not affect the migraines. I saw chiropractors, physiotherapists and Orthopaedic Consultants amongst others but to no avail, there was no end to the pain.
I continued to work for 2 and a half years, spending most weekends and often Fridays too in bed and then I resigned, it wasn’t fair on my employers either as I was only partially there, normally doped up on painkillers.
A few years later, I came across Dr. Amir. I went for a consultation, expecting another dead-end. However, he told me that my jaw was very badly misaligned due to five molars that were removed when I was about 12 years old that shouldn’t have been removed. He said that when the jaw/skull is misaligned, the body misaligns to compensate causing numerous symptoms including my migraines, neck and shoulder pain. This all made sense as I remembered having the teeth extracted and then a brace to close the spaces, I even had photographs showing the gaps in my mouth.
Most importantly, he said he would be able to help by re-aligning my jaw by putting those teeth back in, in the form of implants. I was slightly sceptical at first but went along with it. Within a few weeks of wearing braces, my migraines had gone and now three and a half years later, I can quite literally go for months without having a migraine and when I do, it generally doesn’t come from my neck and shoulders. Visiting Dr Amir’s surgery over the last few years, I have met many other patients with similar stories to mine and I have also been amazed at the lengths Dr Amir will go to to help his patients. I am eternally grateful to Dr Amir for my migraine free life.

My son had experienced numbness to one side of his face, a numb arm and visual problems. We took him to A&E where he was subsequently diagnosed with "MS". We were given details of a website which we were instructed to visit to choose an MS medication for my son to start taking. Whilst visiting the site we came across Dr Amir's website, as if by pure magic as the site was a NHS website and to this day it has baffled us as to how an advert for Dr Amir's surgery appeared on a NHS website. We contacted him. We started my son on treatment with Dr Amir, and did not see a so called "MS relapse" for two years, until Dr Amir was out of the country and my son did not have a brace. He experienced numbness from the waist down and again we visited A&E. We were given steroids for him to take but we did not allow him to take them. Dr Amir was back after 2 weeks and fitted my son with a new brace. Full feeling from the waist down, returned. He continued to wear a brace for a further 18 months until Dr Amir was happy that he no longer needed to wear one. A further six months have now passed with no "MS" symptoms and my son is feeling fitter and healthier than ever before, without taking any medication. NHS consultants are insistent that my son "must have" had episodes in the last two years, that he has not mentioned as MS sufferers normally have at least two episodes per year. They inform of many lesions being seen on the MRI scan and advise that not all lesions cause symptoms.
I have full faith in Dr Amir and am happy to put our lives in his hands. He is clearly knowledgeable in his field as well as that of others. It is painful to believe the facts about medication as millions of patients are in the hands of the NHS so one would like to believe that medication is the answer but sadly it is unbelievable. We will continue to be advised by Dr Amir and am only sad there are not one million of him as on his own he is not enough to go round so do consider yourself honoured if you are lucky enough to be treated by him.

I had seen many physicians in the hope that someone would help explain and treat various symptoms I had been experiencing. These included headaches, jaw pain, IBS, sensitivity to light and smells, breathing difficulties, extreme tiredness and many others.
I enquired around a great deal and thankfully came across the help of Mr Amir. He is very friendly and welcoming. He is incredibly professional and has treated me with great care, explaining every procedure along the way. During my examination he palpated various areas around my jaws, head and neck, and described many of my symptoms to me before I was able to explain and elaborate on them to him! These symptoms had all been explained to other medical professionals, they either ignored them because they couldn’t explain them or thought I was making it up.
Dr Amir explained how each symptom was precipitated anatomically and neurologically, starting from my jaws. He explained that my mandibular joint caused a misalignment in my cranio-facial symmetry, and how this led to compensatory deleterious effects on the rest of my body. He showed me how it was affecting my breathing, my sleep, my muscle tone, my digestion, my ears, my eyes, how it contributed to my hair loss and my immune system and many other ramifications throughout my body, including trapping some major nerves in my neck and lower back. He had a far better understanding of this illness than all the other clinicians I had seen put together.
To make a long story short, simple dental devices which he constructed specifically to correct my asymmetries started correcting my misalignment and the many symptoms I was experiencing started abating almost instantaneously.
Having been treated by Dr Amir, I have been fit and well and not experienced those symptoms again, I had been searching for an answer for years and wish I had found him sooner.

If you want to keep your teeth sound and as long as possible in your mouth, you should see Dr Amir! With his longstanding and broad experience, he will do his best to keep your teeth in place, avoiding extractions and implants as much as possible. He is a very good dentist and orthodontist, which makes sure that the both aspects of teeth health are taken into account.
He works with passion and is devoted to his patients' global wellness, not only repairing a decayed tooth.
Personally, I needed the intervention of both a dentist and an orthodontist, but going to two different doctors would have meant discussions, misunderstandings and loss of time.
With his deep experience and approach respectful of the human being (not just a customer!) he could fix a situation that was almost irreparable.
He is a true artist of his kind.
In addition, his aides are very helpful and friendly.

In 2001 my wife started to suffer from severe physical fatigue accompanied by agonising headaches and facial and body pains. After numerous visits to our GP and hospital consultants in 2004 she was eventually diagnosed with Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (M.E.). Unfortunately there is no cure for M.E. and so treatment provided by the NHS aims to relieve the symptoms, including medication to control pain, nausea and sleeping problems all of which have side effects that bring their own issues. Her treatment has solely been medication to control her symptoms and her underlying condition did not improve at all.
We found Dr Amir 17 years after my wife's illness started. She started treatment with Dr. Amir in June 2018 at his practice in Putney. She is a regular visitor to the surgery and some of the improvements she has made in that time include: a huge reduction in the amount of headaches she has; a significant reduction in the back ache that she experiences; a marked improvement in energy levels to the extent that she now enjoys short walks and a significant betterment in her sleeping pattern. This is in total contrast to the zero progress that she made on her medication for pain management.
We are remote from Dr Amir’s practice so it takes time and effort for us to visit. However, the significant improvements we have witnessed in the relatively short time she has been visiting have without doubt provided us with the enthusiasm and drive to continue her treatment. Indeed, many of the patients we meet in the surgery waiting room describe similar improvements along with similar stories about the limited improvements gained from NHS treatments.
It’s been fantastic for me to see such improvements and to see the smile on my wife’s face returning after such a long period in the wilderness.
P. W.
I first visited Dr. Amir in 2014 after 11 years of suffering from M.E. or Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and having tried every recommended treatment to no avail.
I was very healthy until age 16 when I started feeling unwell after exercise. I put it down to perhaps a bug in my system from a recent holiday and tried to maintain my exercise routine but 2 weeks later after a gym workout, I felt that something was clearly very wrong. My shoulders, chest and abdomen just would not relax and there was pain and spasms through them. I started suffering from, very low energy, poor temperature regulation, muscle weakness and tightness in different areas, freezing cold hands and feet. My breathing became very laboured. Simple tasks became hard to accomplish.
My GP seemed to think I had suffered a virus, put me through numerous blood tests with negative findings, and in spite of the negative results, settled for a diagnosis of Post Viral Fatigue or M.E. I struggled through Sixth Form and took up a place at Leeds University in 2005, doing Physiology, but by the November I had left due to ill health and was spending roughly 20 hours a day in bed. In just 2 years, I had gone from peak fitness to a physical wreck.
I managed to get myself back to University in 2011 close to home to undertake a degree in Biomedical Science. I started to question my diagnosis as my problems seemed more structural than viral. I got in touch with both private hospitals in Nottingham and paid for every specific viral test in the hope that something would show up. I tested negative for everything and had seemingly exhausted all treatment options. I graduated from University in July 2014, physically and mentally exhausted. My symptoms were still so debilitating.
Whilst having osteopathic treatment I mentioned to the therapist that aged eleven, I had knocked half my front tooth out and if this could have contributed to my illness. She suggested that I could see a dentist in London who helps patients with chronic health problems - Enter Dr. Amir.
At first consultation Amir said he was sure he could help me. He explained how I had a temporo-mandibular (jaw) misalignment causing my problems. He could diagnose this after doing a few tests and from a few obvious symptoms he had come across many times before. I had extremely tender muscles in my mouth and tooth damage from jaw grinding. My jaw was only a few millimeters offline but he explained how this could result in the awful symptoms I had been experiencing.
He also noted I had very stiff legs and high shoulders and didn't take breath from my stomach. After years of searching for a cure and being misled by nonsensical viral theories, I was more than happy to hear that my body wasn't irreparably damaged by disease.
Initially, Dr. Amir set about correcting the misalignment in my jaw with a combination of braces. This started reducing the stiffness in my legs significantly. More recent appliances have brought about tremendous improvements, my ribs which were so out of line and tender have gone into a much more neutral position and my overall posture fits a more natural template with reduced tenderness in my lower back.
Last week I experienced what I would describe as the eureka moment - a dramatic shift in the symptoms. While in bed, I was feeling a tender section of my ribs that seemed to be sticking out and pressed them towards a more normal position, without warning a twanging sensation was stimulated from my front rib through to the back. I took 8 or 9 huge deep breaths uncontrollably. My skull base at the top of my spine released dramatically and the nervous aching and irritation through my hips and legs has reduced significantly. I have looser muscles with increased energy. Symptoms that I had reluctantly accepted may be permanent are alleviating and now, after some 16 years I am confident that I will be completely healthy again and able to resume a normal life. I continue to use Dr Amir's appliances and following his advice.
A. B.
I have been seeing Dr Amir for 9 months for the treatment of jaw misalignment and TMJD. After an unsuccesful orthodontic treatment as a teenager, I was referred to a maxillofacial department of a hospital, where I was prescribed with amitriptyline. The dugs helped only by dulling the pain, but came with lots of unwanted side effects. Finally I got in touch with Dr Amir, and he began to help me correct the problem at the source - the jaw misalignment. My jaw was painful and inflamed because it was in the wrong place, putting strain on the surrounding muscles and having a knock on effect on the head, neck, shoulders, and rest of the body. He has been working with me to correct this, with different dental applicances and also by showing me correct swallowing and breathing techniques, which help to keep the teeth and jaw in the correct place and return proper blood flow to the head. Progress is slow but steady and I am finally on the mend. I can eat more, and faster, and I'm less tired in general. I can feel my body getting stronger. I also feel more alert and daydream less. Thank you Dr Amir!

Depression, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome or a Dental Problem?
At the age of 15 my daughter Jasmine started suffering from mood changes, feeling low and very tired, struggling to get up in the morning to go to school. She found it difficult to read and concentrate, developed anxiety and started spending long hours sleeping. She became very pale and lifeless, developed acne, cold extremities, headaches and started suffering from very irritating eczema on her hands.
The GP carried out some blood tests, which showed no abnormalities and concluded that depression was the cause. We sought treatment from mental health professionals, got some counselling, CBT sessions and got prescribed Prozac.
All these treatments proved to be useless, very frustrating and very costly. In spite of her severe unwellness, Jasmine managed to complete her GCSEs getting excellent results.
In the Sixth Form Jasmine’s health problems worsened, she could not function for more than a day per week and needed to sleep a lot. Her focus and concentration deteriorated and she became extremely depressed. She ended up leaving school during April of 2016 without finishing her A-Levels.
We found ourselves at a dead end with no solution to our problems. Jasmine’s future looked bleak. I simply felt devastated about the future of my only child.
During May 2016, I heard about Dr Amir through my friends whose daughter had been suffering from similar problems for 2 - 3 years. She had been diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. Her parents, while looking for a solution, had stumbled upon Dr Amir's website. And after staring her treatment with Dr Amir she was improving rapidly. I instantly wanted to know more about this miracle doctor!
It took some time convincing Jasmine to see yet another doctor. After making contact, we completed a long online questionnaire about Jasmine’s medical history and had our first consultation in June 2016. Dr Amir instantly knew what Jasmine’s problem was and, more importantly, he had a solution for it. That was the best news we heard for years!
He explained that Jasmine’s jaws and teeth were misaligned and how this was affecting her neurologically and anatomically causing all her symptoms.
The cause of this misalignment in Jasmine’s case was her previous orthodontic treatment that she had at the age of 11-13.
Dr Amir's treatment consisted of wearing different custom-made orthodontic appliances. My friends’ daughters' condition improved within the first 5-6 months and by the end of her first years' treatment, she had recovered fully. I was expecting to see similar results, but that was not to be.
By the end of the first year of treatment we only started to see some glimpses of improvement. At times, I was feeling disappointed and even disheartened, but I never lost faith in Dr Amir. He explained that Jasmine was one of these difficult cases taking longer to correct the abnormalities but he never doubted his ability to bring about recovery.
18 months into the treatment, we began to see dramatic improvements, which coincided with a much improved position of her teeth and jaws. Jasmine’s energy rose, her skin improved, her depression lifted, she became happier and was able to go out and enjoy life.
By the end of two years of treatment, Jasmine’s fatigue is no longer there; she sleeps normal hours and has resumed her education bringing about indescribable happiness to both of us.
I do not want to even imagine what our life would have been like if we had not found the extraordinary doctor Amir who made the impossible possible for Jasmine. He saved Jasmine from the bunglings of conventional medicine and dentistry.
Having listened to many patients who travel to see him from all over the world, I am surprised that his practices are not drawing the attention of the medical profession. Apart from being a fantastic doctor, he is a very intelligent, kind and caring person, and is always accommodating towards his patients. The list of symptoms he has cured on patents, which is on his website home page, is astonishing.

Dr. Amir began his treatment upon my son, Aaron, 9 years ago. Aaron was just 6 years old at the time and had some developmental problems attributed to a lack of oxygen at birth which left him with linguistic and attention issues and being considered autistic. Since Dr. Amir examined Aaron and fitted a brace we have found Aaron to improve in energy levels and to be able to sleep well, concentrate more and has since embraced many sports. My Wife and I had no idea that simple tinkering with the jaw could have such a profound effect. Aaron still wears a brace that is frequently resized and adjusted when required and has now flourished into a handsome strapping young man. We are so glad that we did not go down the conventional orthodontic route of pulling the upper teeth back but rather pulling the bottom jaw forward. I write this review with the utmost gratitude to Dr. Amir and his team and recommend him highly to help solve any medically undetermined issues as we clearly now believe that ones body must be treated as a whole rather than symptomatically. Dr. Amir is exceptional. He has helped me a lot and I am sure I will continue to improve. I highly recommend him to anyone who is looking to go an alternative route in orthodontics. 5*

Autism/Learning Difficulties/OCD Testimony.
I discovered Dr Amir in 2015. I was deep in the midst of BDD (Body Dysmorphia Disorder); for those who don’t know about this disorder It’s a very deeply ingrained insecurity about appearance that has a vice like grip on your everyday life to such an extent that you feel like you’re a living freak. My ‘insecurity’ was about the shape of my jaw and as such I’d spent weeks googling ‘misaligned jaw treatment’ this is how I discovered Dr Amir’s practice in Putney. Anyway, with regards to my BDD, that’s gone now and it’s not what I’m here to talk about.
I’m here to talk about learning difficulties and Autism. During my lengthy treatment I spent many an hour on Dr Amir’s website and was fascinated by the possibilities and what else his treatment could achieve. One testimonial in particular stood out, it was about an Autistic guy who had learning difficulties. He’d finished Dr Amir’s treatment and had come out the other side of it; more sociable, more empathic and a fully functioning adult able to run his own business. This testimonial really shocked and resonated with me because I, myself, have an autistic sibling.
MY brother was in a terrible way circa 2016/17, he had NUMEROUS problems and numerous strange rituals too. He was unable to get dressed by himself, that job was left to my mother. If his pyjama trousers rubbed against his leg the ‘wrong’ way he demanded she start all over again. He’d scream whenever he was in the toilet claiming he was uncomfortable, he was insistent that he had to be sat ‘perfectly’. In fact, everything had to be ‘perfect’. He went through phases, one month nobody could sit next to him and the next month he was too afraid to sit down full stop. My mum would often cry and to make matters even worse every time she would approach him to talk to him about his problems he wouldn’t talk. Hassan was very hard to get a conversation out of so it was often hard to tell what exactly was wrong with him.
I brought him to Dr Amir in July 2017 a month before he was due to start sixth-form at Bromley college and he was really in a bad way. Dr Amir would often observe his strange stance whereby he would walk around holding his two hands out above his head. When asked why he stood and walked in this peculiar fashion Hassan said ‘to keep the germs away’. Hassan’s venture into college was an exercise in futility and by October 2017 he’d completely dropped out, his teachers were convinced he would need care for the rest of his life. Nevertheless, we kept persevering with Dr Amir’s treatment and his advice. In time the eye bags under his eyes went, his skin began to look a healthier shade of pink, the rituals went away one by one and finally he was able to go back to school. I was amazed with the results.
Dr Amir had told me from the start of my treatment way back in 2015 that a healthy mind was all about oxygen intake. It’s been 19 or so months since Hassan began his treatment and I was both a keen observer but also sceptical from the start. I always bore in mind EXACTLY how Hassan was at the very BEGINNING of the treatment so I could compare and contrast it to what he is now. And I can definitely say that he’s far more sociable, his vocabulary has increased tenfold, he’s far more empathic then he ever was and he’s definitely a lot smarter too. In fact, contrary to what his teachers believed was possible, he’s now an aspiring chef, and will be looking for full time employment, instead of being a burden on society once his sixth-form is complete. He’s already made major strides by completing work experience at the Green Man community hub as a budding chef.
Dr Amir’s treatment is truly amazing and I’d recommend him to absolutely anybody. And I’d be willing to vouch for him via email too.

My problems started when I was 16, with having had absolutely no prior symptoms, my jaw popped out of place on the right-hand side. It wasn’t long after before things started to get much worse for me. My jaw began popping out of place on a regular basis and then also began getting ‘stuck’ shut. If I tried to open my mouth it would cause me excruciating pain. the pain was everywhere, in my jaw, head, neck, back, and eyes. I had almost daily migraines where the pain would cause me to be sick. Some days the pain in my neck would be so bad that I simply couldn’t hold my head up and would spend the day bedridden. I couldn’t eat, smile, laugh, go out, work or study. My life was effectively over. During this time my family and I did all the research we could and I realised I had TMJ dysfunction. We spent hours trawling over all the available information online and consulting all the ‘specialists’ we could, to try and fix it. Our local dentist made me a ‘splint’ to wear. It did not help but made things ten times worse. It caused the other side of my jaw to start popping out also. This continued for years. I saw doctors, consultants, physiotherapists, osteopaths, cranial osteopaths, dentists, maxillo-facial surgeons, orthodontists. acupuncturist, reflexologsts etc. NOTHING helped. My pain continued to get worse. My life was a total misery. Osteopaths and physiotherapists tried all the massage and manipulations on earth to try and fix me. Nothing worked whatsoever. I had many months of treatment with both. Maxillo-facial surgeons told me that I could try keyhole surgery, but I would need to have my jaw wired shut for 6 weeks afterwards and that the success rate was only 20% with 80% of people relapsing within 10 years. This was an effective rate of 4% possible success so I decided not to risk this option as I was already very fragile. I ended up flying halfway around the world to Colorado to have treatment with an NCR doctor. Again this did not help but by chance through this treatment, I met Dr Amir. Dr Amir took one look at me and told me I had a jaw problem. Nobody had ever done that before. He just seemed to know what was wrong. He listed out ten or more of my symptoms without me having to tell him a thing. He gave me a brief consultation for free and said if I wanted his help, I could return at any time. I’d had lots of professionals tell me that they could help and absolutely nothing any of them had done had worked so I was fairly skeptical. Nevertheless, as I was not getting better I booked to see Dr. Amir the following week. Dr. Amir took some impressions of my teeth and made me a special tailored brace the same day as I was in so much pain, and gave me instructions on how to use the appliance. I was to wear the brace 24/7 apart from eating. The difference that this brace made was unbelievable. Within a matter of weeks, I began to notice a huge difference. As the days went by and I got used to wearing the brace the difference was amazing. I could stand and walk again and I could hold my head up without pain. I could open my mouth wider than I had been able to for years, I could eat normal food instead of mushed up or blended, AND I could smile without pain. I used to go to bed every night in a state of panic because my jaw would often come out of place in the night or get stuck and I would wake up unable to open my mouth or in excruciating pain. Since the first night of wearing the brace, that never happened again. Three months after starting treatment and for the first time in years, I went out for dinner for my birthday. To be well enough to go out for dinner and enjoy myself around food was just amazing. Ten years have passed since that time, and the girl who thought her life was over at 16 is now married with two beautiful children, happy and healthy, and able to do all the things I wanted to do in life. I can eat, sleep normally, exercise, work, look after my family, and live a normal life. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Dr. Amir to anybody. If you’ve tried everything and nothing worked, Dr. Amir will fix you.

Dr Amir is an expert, his knowledge is unmeasurable, my only regrets is not having made that appointment sooner. My advise to anyone unsure or sceptical is: make the first appointment, see for yourself.
7 years ago I started having pain in my wrists and for 2 years was given cortisone injection under the diagnoses of tendinitis, this didn’t help, in fact made it worst and I was referred to a specialist consultant that advised me to stop the injections as that was damaging the tendons on the wrists and referred me to a different consultant. I saw this consultant for 4 years and done all test and exams under the sun only to be told that my diagnosis was probably arthritis, that I should just accept and adapt to my immobility. I left that appointment with a prescription for a very strong medicine with many side defects, no guarantee of recovery and a broken heart. By then I was incapable of most tasks such as doing shoe laces, unlocking my front door, peeling vegetables, holding an umbrella in the rain, washing my hair, driving and so on... By the time I came to see Dr Amir, which was 4 years after saving his phone number on my mobilephone, my health was deteriorating very quickly, I had very little pain free mobility on my wrists, arms and bottom of the feet, this was also affecting my mental health. I made an appointment with Dr Amir and although I felt a bit sceptical at first I also felt that Dr Amir really cared for my well being and would do what he could to make it better, he also reassured me that I could cancel the treatment and payment at any time if I didn’t see results. Two months later, I was sleeping without pain and driving every day, within a few months from that I was able to do most day to day tasks. All this without taking one single pill. When I look back now I can’t believe that I am back to my old self, doing all the things I was told I would probably not do again, most of all I dread to think of where I would be now, two years on, if I hadn’t made that appointment. Dr Amir cares not only for my physical health, he understands the impact the condition has on me, listens and always gives me his time and advise. I can’t thank the team enough.

As a senior leader in the NHS with a significant clinical background I have been so fortunate to find Dr Amir and his pioneering work. Initially I was very sceptical as this is not recognised medicine, but what he has found over the years, to be the cause of many illnesses that no amount of research has ever found an answer to, is frankly wonderful.
There are many testimonials on his website that tell the stories really well and the website simply explains his findings, which basically relates to simple anatomy and physiology and the jaw’s role in keeping alignment of the body, so when the jaw is out of alignment, the rest of the body is, and as a consequence the body is then unable to function properly and not surprisingly ill health occurs.
I have watched with disbelief and amazement and gratitude many times on my daughter and with his other patients when he realigns the jaw and the instant effect/improvement seen. Aware this is not conventional but conventional treatments for these types of diagnosis such as CFS/Fibromyalgia/MS etc. don’t work at all.
Please keep going Dr Amir. I continue to try and influence others to come and see this and if you or your loved one have been diagnosed with one of these life changing conditions please don’t hesitate to go to him, I know first-hand how devastating it can be!

I have been Dr Amir’s patient for some 3 years. I was suffering with some 33 symptoms. I had no energy. The muscle weakness was awful. I could not get into the bathroom. I thought I was going crazy.
I largely recovered in a few months but I just want to relate one incident which could be of interest to other sufferers of chronic illnesses.
I was watching a film on TV and my head was turned to the left for about 2 hours. When I woke the next morning, my neck was stiff and painful on the left side. I presumed this was from watching the film at first but the pain spread rapidly and surrounded my ear, jaw, collarbone, shoulder blade, lower back, and calf, all down the left side of my body.
Then during the early hours of 12/8/17, I awoke to experience the room spinning, although this only lasted for 10-15 seconds, it felt like an eternity. This continued to happen whenever I laid down or turned over. It also occurred on bending my head over or down. On getting up from a sitting position I felt very unsteady and extremely nauseous with a headache that seemed to encompass my whole head with shooting pains like electric shocks.
Amir was in the USA so I could not see him. My problems continued along with the pain and discomfort all down my left side over the next 10 days. I felt so ill, I avoided laying down by propping myself up on several pillows preventing me from turning in bed. The few times I managed to sleep I woke up with severe pains in my neck and severe headache. During the day I had to only sit around because I felt very unsteady and very ill. I did everything I could to avoid any movement that would cause the spinning. I call it spinning because it was far worse than dizziness.
The doctor said I had some crystals in the ear organ and that is why I was dizzy.
On 22/8/17, some 10 days after my symptoms started, my appointment with Dr. Amir could not have come sooner.
The journey up was awful, I felt ‘drunk’ but with the feeling of a very bad hangover all mixed into one. My walking reflected how I felt too. Luckily my husband took the day off to drive me up as I could not possibly manage the train journey and certainly not on my own. He dropped me at his surgery door and planned to pick me up after my appointment.
Dr Amir decided on a certain appliance fitted in my mouth. This immediately and miraculously started improving my condition
After leaving the surgery I found myself walking for the five to ten minutes to the car on my own. This I would not have been able to do previously. I felt steady on my feet instead of staggering. My husband was shocked when he saw me walking on my own up to the car. I got into the car and we began our journey home. I felt a little nauseous at first but nowhere near as bad as when I arrived at the surgery. My neck felt less stiff and was easier to move. The pains I described earlier started to disappear.
About an hour into our journey, I realised I was sitting with both feet on the floor. I cannot normally sit anywhere without crossing my legs. I did not feel nauseous and my headache had gone. As I looked out of the car everything seemed clearer and less blurred. When we arrived home I did feel tired but that is normal after a long journey. I was very nervous about going to bed and laying down. When I slowly lowered myself into bed the room initially swayed briefly after which I managed to sleep very deeply having been so tired from the previous 10 days of hell. I even turned over and there was NO spinning. I woke up the next morning with NO headache or any nausea.
I thank Dr Amir so much for his ingenuity!
I wonder what my fate would have been after this very serious collapse. I believe this is a very common persistent symptom which many patients suffer from and as per the medical community is untreatable. I should know. I was a medical nurse!
The NHS could save millions of pounds if they referred certain patients to Dr Amir and improve these patients lives.
Special thanks to Margaret and Majik as well as Dr Amir.

Multiple Sclerosis became the centre of my focus and life 10 years ago, when I met my partner Elizabeth. It's an obscene condition, that devastates one's physical and psychological well being and ravages your self-confidence. Elizabeth had worked at a very high level in the corporate arena, but work opportunities very quickly dissipated, as the condition took a firm grip on her body and her physical MS afflictions made potential employers nervous.
Research is my passion and over the next 7 years, the battle to beat MS raged and from the 10,000+ hours of studying, we did reap some great rewards in terms of key improvements in her health. The violent headaches, that had put her in bed for weeks on end became a thing of the past. The huge levels of fatigue that she's endured since she was a teenager were replaced with energies levels that were excellent.
The biggest problem, that we failed to overcome, was that of ambulation. The infamous MS foot drop regularly made an appearance when Elizabeth walked any real distance, particularly when her legs were tired. Sometimes the heavy leg syndrome - associated with MS made only 5/6 steps possible. The use of a wheelchair was often necessary with the relapsing remitting type of MS she had. On a good day 100 yards was her limitation.
One day 3 years ago, I was running over the research documentation I had completed and noticed a mobile phone number, which strangely I had put into my mobile 12 months earlier, but had failed to ring it. The phone number was in fact taken off Dr Amir's website from a testimonial given by a lady called Mari, who I note has put a Google review on here. I rang this very bright lady, who endorsed the rhetoric she had expressed on Dr Amir's website, regarding the impact of Dr Amir's work on her daughter.
The next day Elizabeth completed the online questionnaire and a week later we were sat in Dr Amir's waiting room. Elizabeth was not great on her feet that day and as we were called through to the surgery, I noticed Dr Amir watching her wobbling walk, as Elizabeth tried to negotiate past the arm of the dental apparatus, without bumping into it. Ten minutes later, he asked her to stand up and then asked her to open her mouth, whilst he placed what I thought was a lollipop stick between her teeth. He then manually shuffled her jaw into his chosen position - told her to hold her jaw in that position, then asked her to walk from the dental chair, out of the surgery door and down the corridor. This she did with a control and directness and steadiness I'd not seen before.
18 months later, the wheelchair was gone - we actually gave it away. Elizabeth could walk a mile to our local pub. Foot drop is now a thing of the past, as are the heavy legs. Furthermore, she has not had any relapses of any kind. The boost to her confidence has been amazing and we have finally won this particular battle and the MS war itself.
Our only regret is that we didn't make that phone call earlier but I really didn't think the ambulation issue could be dealt with. We had become resolved that despite the huge improvements in certain other areas of the MS symptoms, the walking restrictions were not going to improve. We were wrong and are just pleased and relieved we made that initial trip to Putney to see this remarkable doctor. He's outspoken, yet profoundly eloquent. He has a dry and sometimes caustic wit, yet is extremely charming and caring. He takes on lost causes, yet produces remarkable improvements in so many cases. He challenges traditional, orthodox thinking, yet intellectually justifies what he does and why he does it and then puts it into practice. Most importantly of all, he produces results that change peoples lives - we were so lucky to find him and his team and would not hesitate in recommending his services are called upon at the earliest opportunity.

I have been a patient of Dr Amir for at least 25+ years.
When I first met him I was impressed by his positive personality and soon on, later, with his expertise at dentistry. He completely transformed my jawline (I looked like a chipmunk) and my teeth in general, and did so with integrity, confidence and skill. Over the years, I have admired the attention to detail in his work and his perseverence to achieve perfect results.
Currently, he is in the process of crowning 7 of my front lower teeth which have become worn down (I'm getting younger!). BUT, he is not simply doing that....he has increased the height of my top, partial plate's teeth, which is either side of my own teeth, to bring forward my bite. This will do three marvelous things - it will provide a perfect, symmetrical bite and re-create cranial balance, and, bring into being a wider, more toothy smile. Win. Win. Win.
He's marvelous, and I am convinced that his work, over many years, in creating an environment in which to put in practice the virtues of his proven belief in symmetry and balance, when treating patients, has a beneficial effect on many of his patient's health.
I wholeheartedly recommend this knowledgeable, erudite, adroit and generous dental practitioner.
i am happy for him to provide my contact email details should you wish to know more about this extraordinary, caring man.

I’ve had a fantastic experience with Dr Amir, he has completely fixed my jaw pains and related chronic sore throats through his orthodondistry treatment. Thoroughly recommend!

I was initially seeking braces purely for cosmetic reasons. Dr Amir sended convinced my sleep disorder was also related and he seems to have been right! During my worst bout I was sometimes sleeping as long as 16 hours, this hasn't happened in years now.

Dr Amir is an artist and magician with a eye for detail, my bridge was fabulous. I can't recommend him highly enough.

"Having filled in the online questionnaire I was given a warm welcome by Dr Amir and his staff at the surgery in Putney. Dr Amir summarized my situation and demonstrated the effects of my jaw non-alignment before fitting me with my first brace. This was the first of many easy-to-use appliances created and adapted on site by him and his team.
The effects have been remarkable. I am only about 20% of the way through my treatment and have already experienced significant movement of my teeth and improvements in my breathing and health.
I am a professional musician and, on returning from one of the fittings recently, was surprised to sit at the piano and find that my arms were more relaxed in the playing position than I can ever remember, allowing me to channel the music freely. It was a wonderfully enabling experience.
I enjoy my visits to the surgery and I look forward to the rest of the treatment.

Dr Amir has helped my friend Elinor in reducing her pain and fatigue, completely changed her bite and now for the first time ever she can chew tough meats, bite into apples, the dreams of teeth falling out have stopped, cured TMJ pain completely and although she still experiences fatigue, it is nowhere near as debitating as it was.

I have not experienced headaches at all since I have been wearing my brace, made for me by Dr Amir. I could not be more grateful.
