I had a complicated root canal that my own dentist wouldn't touch. So I was sent to Lister House for a consultation mid-November 2020 with the treatment taking place on 27 November. Now I had felt 'farmed out' by my own dentist to Dr Norman Gutkin but he ended up being quite a surprise. He was good humoured and very personable - which was just as well as I was in the chair for around 3.5hrs with my mouth wedged open. The only reason I don't give 5 stars is because the price was eye-watering for me at £1000 (£800 after my insurance paid the max £200 for such private treatment as not BUPA) - although on balance it was worth it; I didn't want an extraction and wasn't ready for an implant so Norman saved my tooth, which I know is dead but it is there!

We have been attending Lister House - West End Orthodontist for the last 2 years. We went to see Ektor and his staff regarding braces and thanks to his professionalism and great personality he solved our problem with great results. A special thank you goes to his staff that always made us feel very welcome and comfortable. Prof. Chong was excellent and very pleasant. I had a root canal and I expected it to be very uncomfortable...but it was not. He talked me through each step and was considerate to give me "breaks" for my jaw to rest. It is pricy, but worth it!

Ektor and his team: Elena, his dental nurse and Angel on reception gave me a 1st class service when I had braces for 10 months and visited the practice frequently during that period. The braces have just come off and I am delighted with the results. Ektor is an excellent orthodontist with great talent, thoughtfulness and professionalism. The three of them made me feel so welcome and were so kind when I had any problems (hardly any!). It was never an ordeal, always a pleasure to come to the practice. Odd though it sounds I will miss seeing them now that the job is done!

I recently attended my consultation with the orthodontist, I was very nervous as I am petrified to visit the dentist but this was something I have been building courage to go and do. The reception staff were very welcoming and tried putting me at ease, The Orthodontist and his assistant were great, he took his time with me and explained everything before commencing so I knew what to expect; He was very through and answered any questions I had. I will be returning to start treatment and cannot wait for the end results of my treatment. Overall I had a very positive experience and if anyone is nervous this is the place to come!!

I cannot recommend this practice highly enough. Ektor is kind and exceptionally talented, and puts a lot of thought into which treatment to propose. The nurses are professional and thoughtful — I got a phone call to see how I was doing after I got my braces on, which I thought was a really nice touch. I am positively delighted with the results of my lingual braces, which Ektor adjusted meticulously — it’s an art! He is also very honest, which I appreciate — putting patients in touch with others who have previously had the same treatment if they have questions, and absolutely refusing to engage in the industry practice of putting braces on kids too early to get them locked in. I’d give it 10 stars if I could!

Dr Ektor and the team at West End Orthodontics are wonderful. I first went to see Dr Ektor regarding braces, I'm so happy that I found him as I feel he put me at ease with his professionalism, knowledge, eye for perfection and wonderful personality. I'm based in Hampshire so traveled to London often for my appointments and made a day of it with a trip round the shops ( such fun!). Having my teeth done was such a good investment, it's literally been life changing the confidence it has given me. I can very highly recommend!
