My visit to the practice was excellent. The Dentist was extremely thorough and diligent, with a relax atmosphere. I should also comment on how easy it was to fill out forms online, with careful precautions before the visit. This was reassuring for health and safety. I have been coming to see my dentist Claire for over ten years. I actually have moved away from the area but travel back specifically to see her. She is always honest and fair about my options and prices, has a non judgemental approach to my sugar addiction LOL and on top of that is a brilliant dentist as I have had to have alot of different types of work done over the years too and it's always to an excellent standard. I don't have the pre-dental nerves whenever I come here because I trust her and know I'm in safe hands.

Absolutely brilliant experience. The flow of people was managed really well with good social distancing masks and alcohol gel required on the way in. Reception staff were great, friendly and really helpful. The hygienist was excellent doing a very thorough clean. The dentist was very kind and friendly and put me at ease despite not having been for a while and being nervous. She was very thorough and went above and beyond to give me some advise on an eco alternative to toothpaste in tubes.

Mr Chirag Patel has been my dentist for some years now and he's great, really friendly. He gives you all the options and his opinion of what he'd choose but doesn't make you feel you have to do it. He's also very gentle and doesn't cut up your gums like some ive had in the past saying it's my gums when I know full well it's not.

It was nice to be given options regarding further treatment and also some time to think about them. She is very knowledgeable and I felt that I was in very good hands. Should make it clear that for under age kids NHS service is available as a first choice and it should be a choice for parents or guardians to opt out. Overall Dentist treatment was professional but receptionist should be give patient a choice about available treatment on NHS. This is not to discount the level service provided by all team.

Following that I had a dental check up with Balwant Vekaria who is loud, cheerful and clearly knows a thing or two about teeth! Mr Vekaria put a smile on my face all too literally and gave me lots of top tips for dental care now that I’m in my middle years... I look forward to visiting London City Smiles again next year.

I was really worried about my dentures and loosing more teeth but the dentist was so understanding there was no need for any persuading and the price was right for the budget I had in mind. I’ve been coming here for a few years now- each time the dentist is different as they’ve left the practice. The initial contact was great- they were very animated and really made my daughter Gee comfortable. Today I felt they saw my daughter for literally a minute, told me she had decay and to stop eating too many sugary foods. It felt extremely rushed and it was not a great experience- I had to ask questions. No advice was given - or when I should come again etc. I will be looking for another surgery for my family. Such a shame as the previous dentists were so kind and caring.

My dentist Rakhee was just the best dentist I have ever had. She explained everything she was going to do from the moment I walked through the door. I had a hole to fill in and it didn’t take more than 15 minutes. I couldn’t believe how gentle, painless and relaxing the whole experience was. I’ve been going to London City Smiles for around 7 years now. Dr Meera Vekaria is wonderful. She’s very professional and very personable. She always makes me feel calm, and talks me through what’s happening. She did a wonderful job when I had Invisalign a few years ago. I used to be scared of dentist visits but now I quite enjoy them. For in person appointments the bio security management is excellent. They take this very seriously. The staff managing this are friendly but affective. Firstly, l would like to thank Mr Chirag Patel and his team for giving me an excellent teeth. In my family the women tend to lose their teeth at a certain age which I think it is something to do with hormonal or genetic. I know my mum lost hers a bit earlier than me. My mum had an old implant but it was impeccable that you would never knew that it was not her own teeth until you are told. I remember the first time my mum told me about her implant and the problem the women in her family experience. This got me very worried and then my nightmare started. I noticed that my front teeth were getting longer and the gum started pulling away from the teeth. I spoke to Mr Chirag Patel, my dentist and he suggested implant to me because I wasn't he comfortable with dentures. The best decision I have ever made and money well spent! After a year of procedure l have just completed the implant on my front teeth and I couldn't be happier. It took a little longer due to the Covid but I must say it was worth the wait. As I have got my smile back and my family and friends are astonished with my implant. The words I am getting is "wow that is amazing it looks just like your teeth". This is all thanks to the amazing Mr Chirag, Meera and the whole team. I have experienced some pain but many laughter as Chirag made me laugh so much that I sometimes forget my pain. The best thing is him and his staff always checked on me after everything treatment or procedure to see how I am doing. Thank you ever so much Chirag, Meera and the entire staff members of London City Smiles dental practice.

I cannot sing Dr Suleman Gillan’s praises enough! I hadn’t been to the dentist in a very long time due to some traumatic experiences as a kid. After trying an NHS dentist down the road and getting pretty bad service, I decided to try London City Smiles! Boy, was that the best decision!! I've been with LCS for a few years now and there is no regrets from me. Dr Gillan has a very calming approach that instantly puts any fears at ease. Any procedures or future plans are discussed in detail and clear to understand. Plus any x-rays can be done on site so you don’t have to book an appointment elsewhere. Everything can be done in house. Your comfort is top priority and it’s so nice that they genuinely care. Going to the dentist is never going to be something I look forward to but Dr Gillan and team have made it so that I will make and attend my appointments without crippling fear. Back of House team are a true credit to LCS and to dentists everywhere! That being said... I had some issues with my completed payment plan being lost on their system which was eventually sorted out but caused a lot of frustration with different receptionists trying to charge me twice (£900 payment plan!) I’m hoping this was just a glitch and won’t happen again. However, at least two of the receptionists that I spoke to were incredibly rude, so much so that I wanted to seek treatment elsewhere. I understand this pandemic has thrown us all into turmoil but having such a bad attitude can completely ruin a business. I thought I might have caught them at a bad time but looking at the other reviews on here, it seems like this is the norm. There is one receptionist who I spoke to on the phone who was warm and empathic to my issues and just has outstanding customer service. She really shone through after the not so great service I was given with my previous call.

By the age of 54, years of neglect had led to the loss of almost all my teeth, resulting in the loss of a lot of jaw bone. I needed a radical long-term solution and this has been provided by Dr Vekaria and his team. After extracting what remained of my own teeth, Dr Vekaria built up the bone in my upper and lower jaws with bone transplants, he repositioned a nerve in my lower jaw without any permanent loss of sensation, he inserted 8 implants in my lower jaw and 12 implants in my upper jaw. He finished all this off with a beautiful set of porcelain bridges securely attached to the implants. This work was done at slow/steady pace and only when Dr Vekaria was happy that a particular procedure had been successful did he move on to the next step. From the very start I was given a set of temporary dentures which were changed/adapted as each stage was completed. This meant I was never without a set of teeth and even these were a vast improvement on what I had been using previously. It took just over 2 years to complete the transformation. This may sound like a long time but it didn’t feel that way. Dr Vekaria’s team were so caring and supportive throughout with a real concern for my welfare, keeping any pain/discomfort to a minimum. They are also currently providing excellent after-care. The amount of work I needed meant it wasn’t cheap. However, I was only asked to pay for each stage as it happened which meant I was able to spread the cost over the entire period of treatment. There was also the option to take out an interest-free loan to help spread the cost still further if I had needed it. There has not been one moment since I first walked into Dr Vekaria’s treatment room that I have regretted my decision. I realised from day one that I did not have any other sensible options. I now have a beautiful set of permanent fixed teeth which has transformed my life. My cheeks are no longer hollow, I receive compliments on my smile, I can eat what I like, social occasions and inter-personal situations are no longer difficult. I’m now a happy and confident person. Whatever the cost, it’s been worth every penny. Dr Vekaria is an expert in this field and I would recommend him and his team to anyone considering this type of dental work.

The practice is well organised and efficient when communicating with patients. I was treated by Dr Claire Titton, who is excellent, and whom I have already recommended to a friend, while the other assistants and support staff are also friendly and helpful. (On one occasion, when I had what looked like an urgent query - it was all fine, in the event - another Doctor was available for consultation when Dr Titton happened to be away on that day). Dr Titton explained well the options for my treatment, was very open to answering my queries and performed my treatment expertly.

Update: I managed to get through to the practice and get an appointment with Chirag, who is super professional and helpful. Apparently the practice has been having phone/IT issues. It has become impossible to contact this dental practice. Over the past weeks I have called, left my number for a callback and messaged via their practice WhatsApp 10+ times to book an appointment, with absolutely no response. Meera, my dentist, and the reception and other practice staff have always been fantastic so the complete reversal of experience is quite bewildering.
