We have received a recommendation for one of their orthodontists from our orthodontist in Vienna, but unfortunately he was not available to see our daughter due to medical issues. Dr Sophia Shah stepped wonderfully in his shoes and has guided us and our daughter through all the issues so far. She is very good with children and all treatment so far has been non-traumatic. We probably have a long journey ahead of us still, but the first solution she recommend works really well and we might have been able to kick a pretty ingrained habit. After years of trying, this is a great result.

Owing to the sensitivity of one's oral cavity, any problems with teeth becomes an ever present focus of adversity. Over 10 years ago I had an accident which led me to having some of my front teeth traumatised. After years of pain, discomfort and no self confidence in my teeth and smile due to my own dentist not helping me, I was referred to Professor Shakeel who I knew would do an amazing job. I had an amazing experience at SDS. The place was well appointed and all safety measures were definitely in place. I was greeted professionally and escorted to the procedure room. Everyone was in full PPE and all the safety measures were described in detail. My hygienist, Camilla, was absolutely incredible. She told me each thing she was doing and why. Along the way she informed me of how things were proceeding and check in with me to make sure I was comfortable. To say I was scared to go to the dentist is somewhat an understatement. Recently I visited Dr Michael Myint and Specialist dental services. Initially I was worried that there would be some judgment about my oral health as I'd not been for a while, but Dr Myint was able to talk me through what to expect and was so reassuring. He frequently checked in to make sure I wasn't in any pain and would stop at any point if I needed to Now I don't feel like I need to cover my mouth when I'm smiling! When I got into the office, we had a consultation and then he proceeded with the procedure. I was due to receive periodontal treatment from a different dentist before lockdown began but after getting contradictory advice from them, my confidence was shaken. I proceeded to check online reviews throughout the London area and came across SDS. From the first phone call with Regina on front of house, the service has been of the highest standard. I received a triage call from Dr Narinder Dhadwal in the midst of lockdown where she gave me all the time I needed. Obviously I was a little nervous going to their premises as soon as they opened after the Corona virus lockdown (before many others) but my fears were immediately alleviated on arrival. Hand sanitiser and face masks were provided as well as Narinder and her amazing staff being covered head to toe in PPE. Being a nervous patient, I was pleasantly surprised with the relatively painless treatment I received in comparison with other dentists i have visited. I can't thank Narinder and her team enough and would highly recommend giving these guys a visit.... even this soon after lockdown. Excellent service and cleanliness with maximum precautions being taken during this unprecedented time. The easiest 5 star review I've given.

I decided to see a dental specialist because I was very concerned about the gum recession on my lower teeth and what the long term implications were if my gums kept receding. I had my initial consultation with Dr Shakeel at SDS in January 2017 and I have been absolutely delighted with the result of my treatment. During my initial consultation, Dr Shakeel was very understanding regarding all of my concerns and worries about my teeth. He clearly explained all my treatment options and was very honest regarding the potential benefits and results from the procedures he could offer me. I was subsequently sent a consultation report reiterating everything that had been discussed during our consultation and a detailed treatment plan. I decided to have soft tissue grafting from the palate and I can honestly say that the results are better than anything I could have expected! I’m absolutely thrilled with the end result and the soft tissue grafts on my lower gums have given me more root coverage than I ever thought possible. Dr Shakeel also has an amazing team around him. Zoe (the practice manager) was incredibly helpful throughout my entire treatment and is always so lovely. Stacy (the practice dental nurse) is equally lovely and was so reassuring throughout my surgery. If you need a dental specialist who is exceptionally talented and who is very kind and calm, then I would highly recommend Dr Shakeel. I understand how daunting and confusing is can be when you need a dental specialist but don’t know which specialist to trust. I am so thankful to Dr Shakeel and his team and I hope this review helps anyone reading it to feel a bit more confident about contacting SDS for a consultation.

I never bother to write reviews but this review Specialist Dental Services truely deserve! Where do I begin. My mother was struggling to eat, her implants were broken, her original dentist unfortunately could not resolve her broken implants. I took my mother to two other dentists, they were unable to resolve my mother's teeth. I did not know what to do. I thought there was no hope. One day out of despair I was searching on Google and thankfully came across Specialist Dental Services. Hand on heart they have not only fixed my mother's broken implants but have made her so happy. For more than 6 months my mother could not eat properly and was very low, now thanks to Dr Shahdad and Dr Myint they have made my mother very very happy! We are so very grateful to Dr Shahdad and Dr Myint. They took their time and were very kind to my mother. They did not let her feel any pain, explained everything and were very professional. I needed to have 3 gum grafts (yes 3!) in the space of a few months in order to thicken the gums that had eroded over the years due to ill-fitting retainers and overly vigorous brushing. To say I was pretty apprehensive prior to the first surgery would be an understatement. However, Dr Narinder Dhadwal was absolutely brilliant - she's extremely knowledgeable (and able to explain the procedure clearly in layman's terms), her attention to detail is impeccable and she makes you feel very comfortable as a patient. The results were amazing - 100% root coverage (which seemed unlikely given how they looked at the start!) After the first surgery went so well, I was weirdly looking forward to the next two as I knew she'd do such a great job! I would highly recommend Dr Dhadwal.

Gum specialist Narinder is brilliant. She has an excellent, reassuring manner, is a specialist with a capital 'S' and got on top of my gum problems very quickly, so that eight or so months down the line I am in a much better place, thanks to her. She took the time and trouble to take me through a simple and effective cleaning routine I have stuck to, and it has clearly produced results. I have also had surgical treatment (a bone graft) from Dr Shadad. He is an extremely impressive man who immediately secured my trust and confidence in his abilities. He explained in straightforward terms what he would do from Day 1, and conducted the procedure itself with admirable skill and great care. I stuck to his advice re post-op aftercare and the immediate after-effects (a bit of swelling) were limited and resolved themselves exactly as he advised me, within a couple of days. I cannot rate this practice too highly. Everyone from the reception staff to the practitioners is courteous and friendly.

A dentist friend of mine recommended Professor Johal and said he’s one of the best in the UK, and he certainly wasn’t wrong. He’s been absolutely fantastic throughout my dental treatment. He is very experienced technically, highly professional and really easy to talk to. I have absolute confidence and trust in him and am delighted with the treatment they have provided so far. Also, Zoe the practice manager is really friendly, helpful and accommodating. I’m a hospital doctor and they always manage to find the time to get me seen around my often unaccomodating schedule either in early appointments or slotting me into cancellations. I couldn’t recommend Prof Johal or SDS more highly. I was originally in two minds about getting work done at all and felt like I had seen a few ‘dental cowboys’ (!) so was quite put off by it all and didn’t know who to trust. Then I sat down with Prof Johal, he also brought in his colleague Dr Shaq who specialises in implants and together they decided upon an optimum treatment plan. I would say if you’re in two minds, just go and see Prof Johal and at least have a chat about what options you have, you won’t be disappointed. Now I’ve gone for it I don’t regret my decision one bit, except the fact I wish I had gone sooner! I also shopped around before visiting SDS dental and know that thier prices are the same or better than much less experienced or well regarded dental practises so don’t think the Harley street post code means the costs will break the bank!! Worth EVERY penny.

Super, Fantastic, Excellent Service, I cannot find any more words to explain my genuine feelings I had a consultation and 3 fillings done at Specialist Dental Services, from the moment I telephoned, walked in, get seen and walked out, I had the best experience of my life. The receptionist was a lady who is down to earth, lovely lady, than I turned up to my appointment, the practice manager came downstairs to waiting area offered me drink whilst waiting, I than had my consultation, despite it was booked for an hour, I was in for 1 hour 20 min, he was taking his time. I came out, Practice manager printed out my treatment plan, answered all my questions with a very professional manner, he than help me call for a taxi, my uber app was not working and he even offered to use his own app, I felt I was in a family place. I met Dr Shakeel when I was searching for a reputable and professional Periodontal and bone grafting specialist. All my upper teeth were affected by major bone loss due to advanced Periodontal disease. I was anxious about the condition. I saw several and all excellent specialists before settling with Dr Shakeel. On my first consultation Dr Shakeel thoroughly examined the situation and confirmed the condition. We discussed options and the pros and cons of bone grafting and dental implants, the lengthy process and commitments. Dr Shakeel was open and frank about what to expect. Throughout the process I found Dr Shakeel, extremely precise, meticulous and thorough. I felt totally safe and in good hand. Dr Shakeel is also a good listener. A year on, I am over the moon with the results. The bone grafting is a success and the implants look just like my teeth as they were once young and healthy, they are perfect! I wanted to keep the natural look as much as possible and Dr Shakeel achieved just that. The implants are very comfortable and didn’t take long to get used to. I can eat anything and smile all day long. Dr Shakeel has exceeded my expectations by far. A true Maestro! Having just finished implant treatment with SDS I would highly recommend them for specialist dental work. I came to SDS for a second opinion on the best course of treatment after I broke a tooth that had been previously root-filled. Shakeel took the time to take careful measurements and gave me three options at different price points. He confirmed that due to the layout of my teeth, I could remove the broken one and leave a gap without any adverse effects on surrounding teeth. He also offered me a Maryland bridge, or a full implant. Shakeel's careful, considered and open approach gave me the confidence to go for the full implant and I could not be happier with the result. The extraction and implant surgery was painless despite my needing a large amount of bone graft, and the new crown feels like my original tooth did 10 years ago before I got it root-filled. Due to the healing time required for the bone graft, Shakeel decided to complete the process over 8 weeks rather than 4, and everything has gone exactly as he said it would. The other members of the team that I have dealt with - Zoe and Stacy - have been very professional, responsive and friendly, which helped to put me at ease throughout the treatment. I shall continue to use SDS and recommend them without hesitation.

I visited two emergency practices before finding SDS on google. I read the reviews and decided to make an appointment. My first appointment with Dr Shakeel Shahdad immediately put me at ease. He talked through my fears before examining me and had great patience. My treatment plan was to undergo a dental implant; before that could start I had to have several trips with the hygienist. After a year of appointments I can now smile with confidence; the finishing product is a lovely natural looking front tooth. I was recommended to see Dr Shahdad by a friend. I did a lot of research about dental implants before my first consultation therefore came to my appointment with many difficult questions. He was very patient in answering these questions and I was very impressed by his knowledge and honest attitude towards the procedure. Prior to the implant, Dr Shahdad carefully removed my remaining tooth without damaging the bone structure around the root, a vital part of a successful implant. After a three months healing period, two Swiss-made titanium implants were put in position followed by two removable metal-porcelain crowns. The whole procedure was not as painful as I anticipated, thanks to Dr Shahdad’s gentle approach. Dr Shahdad also paid a lot attention to educate me on how to clean the implants and avoid implant complications. In addition, his whole team were also very helpful. For example I needed to make an appointment with Dr Shahdad last week, however he was fully booked. The receptionist Zoe did her best to find a slot during his lunchtime to see me. I am very happy with their superb service. Now my implants work as normal teeth and I can enjoy different foods I could not do so before. My quality of life has been gratefully improved, thanks to Dr Shahdad’s excellent treatment. I highly recommend him to anyone who needs the highest standard dental implant in the UK.

When I arrived at SDS I was upset and nervous about the amount of treatment I had ahead of me, but was immediately made to feel at ease, everything was explained to me clearly and I was given all the options so that I could make my own decision about my treatment plan - since then there have been no horrible surprises or hidden costs, this is a very open and honest practice. Since an accident some ten years or so ago I have experienced constant oral pain and discomfort. I have had oral infections and so many courses of antibiotics I cannot count them. I also had a dental operation in hospital. Over the years I have visited several dentists and hygienists, both private and NHS, and had a course of private orthodontic treatment, which did help with the physical discomfort somewhat. Eventually, I found SDS and they discovered what was actually causing my problems. I am extremely happy with the care, advice and treatment I have had from SDS so far. I am particularly happy that all the dentists involved work together and share their expertise to get the best possible outcome for me. They also keep me (and my husband) fully informed regarding what they find and what treatment they intend to carry out. I am a particularly nervous patient but everyone in the team (including Stacey and Zoe) makes me feel at ease and they all try to help me with my nerves. My treatment is still on-going, but I am, at the moment, confident that the best possible final result will be achieved.

I was originally referred to Dr Shahdad at Specialist Dental Services by my son, a Consultant Restorative Dentist, who had worked with Dr Shahdad at The Royal London Dental Hospital. I had 3 missing molars which had previously been heavily filled and had then developed abscesses and were subsequently removed. I was keen to have implants in order to avoid either bridges or dentures. The implants were carried out during the course of 2009/10 as well as 2 inlays on broken teeth. I was impressed by both the professional and friendly approach of everyone in the surgery and have been exceedingly pleased with the result. I have not had any problems since and was surprised I did not suffer any pain during the course of treatment. When making the decision to have dental implants there is a lot of choice and there are many dentists who offer this specialised service. However, I can 100% highly and confidently recommend Shakeel Shahdad at SDS. The entire procedure was completely painless and due to the expertise he has, I was not swollen or bruised at all after having the two dental implants inserted. The crowns were fitted within EIGHT weeks after the procedure whereby most other dentists say that healing can take up to 4 months until the crowns can be fitted! The word "implant" for me was "operation" and it really scared me. The denture I had made me so uncomfortable when I ate so I decided to go ahead with the implant. I was involved in a bicycle accident in 2012 and lost two teeth and badly traumatised two more. I was treated at The Royal London hospital until 2014 where I was fitted with two implants. Dr. Kushul Gadhia prescribed, designed and fitted a 'Michigan Splint' as a night-time mouth guard. Although never intended to cure the problem, it has had a significant and positive impact on rectifying my bite.
