H is an absolutely brilliant dentist. Iv been going to his practice for over 10 years which is really something given I previously struggled to find a single dentist I could trust with my teeth. H is thorough and takes wonderful care of my sensitive and once-battered teeth. He doesn’t suggest any excess work, applies just the right amount of precision, and has successfully restored my teeth back to shiny external and internal health and, most importantly, maintained my teeth at their best. I used to be SO nervous of dentists after many bad experiences. But my teeth are really important to me, as is my general health, so I always hunt around til I find the most competent, professional and cutting-edge expert. After a chance recommendation, I tried H and never looked back. I highly recommend!

I've been going to Stanhope Place Dental Practice for around 15 years now, originally on the recommendation of a friend. H is a brilliant dentist, very knowledgeable, very professional, keeping up to date on latest research. He is also very kind and takes a pain free approach. After examination, he always explains the situation with teeth and gums very clearly as well as any possible treatment required. However he never proposes unnecessary work and takes the utmost care to protect and extend the life of existing teeth. Fariba is an excellent hygienist, not only cleaning up my teeth beautifully but always able to suggest improvements in oral hygiene. Last but not least, Julie on reception is great at making sure that my regular twice yearly check ups are scheduled at times to suit me. I would highly recommend Stanhope Place to anyone looking for great dental care.

I came across Stanhope Place quite by chance some years ago when I saw an advert in the Evening Standard. The fact that I still continue to go there on a regular basis is testament to the quality of service and attention that I receive. "H' as we all call him combines experience and professionalism with a personal and friendly touch. He takes time to nurture an ongoing relationship with you as a patient and takes time to explain any course of action and the reason(s) for it. Fariba the hygienist is also excellent at talking to patients and is very thorough and professional. Julie the practice manager is always very efficient, friendly and courteous. I would have no hesitation in recommending this practice to anyone.

Dr Pourkavoos has dealt with the full range of treatments - from simple check-up, to root canal, crowns, fillings, etc. Fariba is simply brilliant. Julie, the receptionist, is very helpful and efficient. An outstanding practice team.

Dr P is caring, highly professional, very thorough, knowledgeable and most definitely places the welfare of the patient as paramount. Any nerves are quickly dispersed by his gentle approach. Wow - great quality professional dentistry in centre of London AND with a personal caring approach. I had a broken tooth and was fitted in between patients during my visit to London without any fuss. This is the only dental practice I have been where every single thing that is done is explained meticulously, even to the injection , which I did not feel, being applied before my tooth was rebuilt. So many dentists make you feel that they are rushing through to the next patient - not here. A peaceful relaxing experience, and there was even an unusual "rubber dam" used to catch any debris, to prevent me feeling like I am drowning in my own saliva and drill debris like, has happened at other dentists. This is a quiet professional practice that I cant recommend highly enough - you have to go and try the experience - Dr Pourkavoos' dental practice is certainly not one you will ever dread having to visit.
