Visited for the first time today to the Manchester branch. Felt really reassured and welcomed and was reminded about my appointment via text, email and a call the day before my appointment. Upon arrival I felt welcomed and informed of the process and filled out my medical questionnaires whilst being offered a bottle of water and a coffee. Today I had a hygienist appointment with Lauren who took care of me. Lauren explained everything to be prior to treatment and made me feel very comfortable and reassured during the time I spent with her. Overall very impressed and satisfied with everything. Highly recommend.

I first went to The Mall Dental over 10 years ago after a very unpleasant experience with another dental practice. I needed a front dental implant and this was done by Phil Broughton who was amazing and highly professional throughout. I have continued to go to The Mall Dental since then for my regular check ups and hygienist appointments and all the staff members are always friendly and professional. I’m not a fan of the dentist, but I went to visit Lauren (hygienist) at the Stockport branch. She and her co worker made me feel at ease straight away, talked me through what was best for me and it’s the first time I felt comfortable in the dentist chair. The receptionist is lovely. Fabulous dentist! This is the only dentist I would go to. Marta is fabulous on reception, so helpful and so nice and very professional. And Phil really is the best dentist in Manchester (or maybe in the North West or further!)! Exceptional from start to finish. Dr Phil put me at ease and made me put any previous 'dentist' anxiety I had historically had to bed almost from the moment I walked in, which is huge for me. He also has a health first approach before doing anything cosmetic, which was a breath of fresh air and helped me make long term decisions over short term 'vanity' ones, which is easy to fall into and may be the trap other practices take you down. The professionalism is second to none down to the finest details at The Mall. Marta is a huge credit to the practice and was very thorough with me every step of the way, as are all the staff, you can tell they love what they do and the vibe about the place is like nowhere else in the industry I have experienced. I was feeling extremely scared and anxious this morning about having a tooth extracted and the first stage of my implant started. I was booked in for an hour and a half appointment. I had no idea what to expect but was reassured straight away by Chloe when I walked in. The staff is top notch and also the hygienist Kai was great and was very thorough and gave me great advice. You get to watch TV while having your teeth worked on as well. You’re always greeted really warmly when you first arrive and the staff that look after you are always so nice. During my appointments, both the dentist and hygienist took the time to make sure I was comfortable and understood what was going on. They both went into great detail about what they were going to be doing, which helped me settle and afterwards they explained anything I needed to know throughly and simply. I booked a consultation at Smylife because of a recommendation of a colleague who had the most beautiful, natural teeth - and I'm so glad that I did! I would have been the type of person to read a review like this and would say to myself, 'I could never even ring up to make an appointment -never mind go through with the treatment!'. I have always been so uncomfortable and self-conscious as a result of my teeth. I avoided smiling in photographs and felt very aware of how my teeth must have looked when I was talking to people. Despite thinking of this problem each day for years, I avoided making an appointment because I knew I had a few things that needed fixing and the thought of even stepping foot in a dentist made me feel overwhelmed. I cannot stress to you enough how relaxed the dentist makes you feel - from the moment you walk in the door, to the personalised treatment you will receive from your Treatment Coordinator - everything is taken at your own pace, and they completely understand (and cater for) your fears. The consultation itself is free, and you get assigned a personal Treatment Coordinator and Dentist who spend the time discussing different options, depending on your budget and really strive to achieve the best results for you. I felt so lucky to have started my treatment with Rachel (my Treatment Coordinator) and Phil (my dentist) - they have literally got rid of my fear of the dentist - something I never imagined being able to say. When I first walked into the dentist (feeling extremely nervous!) Rachel took me in a room and had a detailed chat, and took some photographs of my teeth. She is genuinely one of the friendliest people I've ever met, and put me at ease straightaway and listened as I told her everything I was afraid of. She outlined all of my options and had so much time for the many questions I had - so by the time I met Phil, I was already feeling relaxed. Phil is fantastic (and funny - nothing like I used to imagine dentists to be like!) and made me feel just as comfortable in the surgery and talked me through my options and I left feeling certain I wanted to go back. What is different about Smylife, is that your Coordinator is with you all the way - if you need someone with you at every step, they will be there. Any silly questions you have don't feel like silly questions - because they have seen and heard it all before! I recently had my first treatment, which I felt extremely nervous for - and spent the night before Googling 'What does sedation feel like?' and 'Will I be able to feel anything?'. The answer is 'no'. You can ask so many people and none of their answers will reassure you because they 'aren't as afraid as you'- but take it from someone who let almost 10 years go by before getting their veneers fixed or their tooth extracted- I would do it all over again without any fear if it had to. You will feel incredibly calm, and wonder why you ever let going to the dentist be something to be afraid of! I can promise you that! I would never normally take so long to write a review, but I know how much more confident I feel right now (and I have only taken the first step in my journey) and would be so glad if my review helped someone take the step towards getting a smile they are happy with. I wish I had heard about Smylife sooner and I think this dental practice and it's amazing staff deserve the credit for being so incredible and I would highly recommend it to anyone who was just like me.

I initially went in for a free consultation with Donna for braces. Despite being free the consultation was thorough and in-depth, Donna talked through all the options, took photos and x-rays followed by a check-up with Lucy (who went on to identify a problem with one of my teeth that I wasn’t even aware of and my NHS dentist hadn’t pick up!). I finally decided on fixed ceramic braces only to go and change my mind 1 month after fitting and switch to Invisalign! Nothing was ever too much trouble for them and I was never made to feel like a burden. I am thrilled with the results of Invisalign, thank you so much, highly recommend.
