I've been anxious of the dentist for as long as I can remember and avoided any treatment. After some horrendous pain from a cracked tooth I worked up the courage to try out st James clinic, all of the staff are wonderful, friendly, professional, caring and reassuring. I have so many good things to say and I'm incredibly grateful. I highly recommended to anyone needing dental treatment, it's no where near as expensive as I expected a private dentist to be.

The receptionists are always lovely, my dental nurse Debbie and dentist Martin are amazing to me for putting me at ease and always keeping me well informed. The other nurses and hygienist are ever so lovely too, just an overall great experience. Highly recommend them!

Outstanding service, and friendly and supportive staff. I was very nervous about visiting a dentist, but everyone at the clinic is so nice and welcoming that it has completely changed my perspective. Cannot recommend highly enough. Excellent quality of care.

I've been a patient for about a year now, staff are lovely and treatment is good. Only negative comment is down to unnecessary time wasting and billing. Broke my tooth and decided to have it pulled (already had root treatment and ongoing issues with it). Booked an emergency appointment and clearly said for tooth extraction. On the day of the appointment was told not enough time to pull the tooth and referred to the implant consultant £40 PLUS tooth extration only booked for 7 October 😞. Billed £35 on the day and not sure why as nothing was done at this emergency appointment. Seems unnecessary cost and time wasted - this can improve.

Excellent experience from start to finish. Have seen both Martin and Janaki, and their care (along with their assistants) is second to none. Shannon and Jo on reception make the appointments very relaxed from the moment you walk in the door. Great people, great service. Can’t recommend them highly enough.

Thank you so much to the lovely Benita and the dental nurse Debbie T for my dental treatment I received today. I was very nervous as I had a bad broken back tooth that was exposed and I was expecting the worst. I did not want the anesthesia as I hate needles and don't like the numb feeling. They respected my wishes, were very reassuring and took the time and patience to make the experience pain free for me. The drilling work was fantastic and was one of the deepest fillings I've ever had all without the need of an injection thanks to the skill of Benita. I normally have Martin who saved one of my teeth a while back when other dentists said it was not possible to do so. My tooth is fine over a year later. The team are fantastic, super caring and I have never received such great dental work and experience. If you are anxious about seeing the dentist please see this dentist. You will leave feeling silly, wondering why you were ever worried. Just as I did today. Thanks again

I used to struggle with anxiety when going to the dentist, and this was due to previous poor experiences when I was younger. However, Dr Martin Gerginov has made my visits more calm and relaxed than I ever thought possible. The dental nurse was kind and attentive to my needs. The treatment I recieved was reassuring, calming and of the highest standards. The receptionist was welcoming and helpful . I have recommended this clinic to my friends, family and anyone who needs this high level of service.

I have only been to a dentist 4 times in the last 20 years. I chose this dentist because the reviews indicated they are sympathetic to patients who are nervous. I had two fillings and the service was excellent. I also had a scale and polish. This was an education for me! I had no idea that plaque can cause heart disease. My teeth look really good now and feel so clean. Many thanks for the support when I felt poorly after the treatment. I was even given a cup of tea. I will recommend St James clinic.

The main reason I chose this clinic in the first place was a reply by its owner “Edward Day” to one of the previous reviews. In my opinion, his reply seems genuine and written by a guy who values his business and its reputation. Here is my review and experience with them: I went to them with the mentality that I need a root canal. After the initial examination, X ray etc.. Dr Martin told me “You don’t need root canal, there is no infections or any medical problem that requires root canal, all you need is a few fillings” Top marks for Dr Martin! After this honest opinion I decided to carry on my treatment with them. I was given an appointment the day after. Treatment took 2 hours in 2 sessions at the same day “per my request, Xmas time!”. Excellent service. Deborah “the hygienist” ,Dr Martin “the dentist” and Lucy “the dental nurse” were all polite, professional and accommodating. Waiting room was clean, tidy and prices are displayed on a screen. There is even a file that contains all information about the clinic including pics of the whole team! Location is superb. In the middle of Newport with easy access to car parks and public transcription. The only tiny issue I had is their printer! I got a receipt from the card machine, but the printer didn’t work when I tried to get a printed one. All in all, my experience with them is one of the best I’ve ever had in a dental service in the UK. Highly recommended. Wish them all the success in the future. Sam.

I really love this dentist. I'm usually quite anxious when going to see a dentist but Dr Martin went out of his way to assure I felt at ease and was happy to answer my hundreds and thousands of questions about treatments. To top it off, all the staff are extremely friendly which is more than I can say for other IOW dentists surgeries. Highly recommend!
