For years I've been petrified of going to the dentist. A total phobia, with years of toothache and complications due to not finding a dentist willing, or having the patience to do any work on me. Finally, a dentist that takes time, understands and tries every way to make the experience as easy and comfortable as possible. By listening to you, each treatment is tailored to your specific needs! Mark and the whole team have been great, always made me feel welcome and tried to make me feel as at ease as possible. Smilestyle really is fantastic, especially if you are nervous. I won't be going anywhere else.

Smilestyle is a relaxed and friendly private practice with lovely staff. Marianne is an excellent dentist who explains in detail what treatment you may or may not need, and then discusses the best way forward for you personally. I had three extractions and five fillings over a few months. Aswell as sorting the problems I had with my mouth(and having a laugh at the same time) I never once had any pain or even discomfort following any of my treatments. Thank you Marianne.

Always been somewhat apprehensive about dentists and during Co vid our current dental practice were seeing no one and were not very helpful. I messaged Smilestyle and told them about my situation and within a few hours they were back to me and told me how they could help. We booked an appointment for an assessment and everything was clearly explained as to what needed to be done,and what may need doing soon. I came away with a written plan and what it was going to cost. Everyone was incredibly warm and welcoming. From my first moment in the chair it was completely different from and dentistry that I have ever had before. Mark took his time to explain what he was going to do and I never felt a single moment of pain. Unbelievable but absolutely true as I had quite a lot of work done. I will not be going back to my previous dentist.Of course it's more expensive than NHS but you are treated like a customer and with respect. Many thanks to Mark and All the ladies in his team. I could not recommend SmileStyle Signature enough! A lovely team and a welcoming environment. I attended an appointment with Dr Mark Wilkins for a routine check-up, where I was recommended treatments for my teeth. From an incident when I was a toddler, I was very self-conscious about one of my front teeth and the discolouration from the accident. In one appointment, I went from never smiling with my teeth to not being able to stop - 100% Cheshire cat mode. My confidence increased ten fold and it is all thanks to Dr Wilkins and his wonderful team. If you are looking for A* dental treatment, there is no better place!

I just want to say a huge thank you to the whole team at this practice they are incredible. From the moment I booked to the completion of my treatment they were fab and still are. I never liked dentists and I used to work myself up before attending appointments that was until I met Adam and Sasha he is great gave loads of advise and talked me through the treatments each appointment. The appointments were never rushed and I felt I could stop at any point with no problem. The work Adam has done is great I've even signed my boys up to the practice. Smilestyle has been my dental surgery for a good few years now and Mark my dentist. I am a particularly nervous patient but Mark always puts me at ease and the option of intravenous sedation is something I gladly take advantage of for some of the treatments. The receptionists are all very friendly and helpful, both in person and the phone, and after major dental work always call to follow up and make sure I am OK! Although I now have a 50-mile round trip to the surgery since moving home 11 years ago, I wouldn't go anywhere else or trust anyone but Mark to look after my teeth. I have recommended Smilestyle to one friend (who is also now a regular client) and would not hesitate to recommend the surgery to others in the future.

My prior dentist suggested sedation to cope! Since becoming a patient at Smilestyle Signature I have had check ups and treatments without any problem or sedation! I would like to express and show my appreciation to all the staff at Smilestyle Signature, firstly for offering a great and professional service during these strange and hard times of the pandemic. They have endeavoured to carry on, offering their usually extremely professional service and always strive to help. I had no problem booking a appointment as usual, even though they have limited appointments due to covid-19.. Whilst visiting during the pandemic, i felt very sorry for the staff having to wear the extreme PPE to keep themselves and their patients safe,but this helped put my own mind at ease. I can highly recommend this practice to everyone. Having not visited a dentist for over 10 years & knowing I was in need of extensive treatment, I found the courage to give them a call after reading all of the honest reviews here. From the first conversation on the phone with Val, I was put at ease and made the first consultation appointment there and then, for a few days later. I was introduced to my dentist Finn, who immediately helped put my long-held fears aside with his sensitive, non-judgemental and caring manner. At every stage of my treatment plan, I always felt well informed and fully Involved in decisions. I was expecting my treatment would be painful, as I needed 14 extractions before immediate dentures were fitted, but that was not the case at all. I was always made very comfortable by all of the friendly staff. From checking in to leaving the experience is great, walking out knowing your teeth are the best they can be is so satisfying. I recently underwent 4 sessions (1 day per week) of deep cleaning, under conscious sedation, for gum disease with Mr Wilkins. From the moment I walked in to reception, I felt calm and was treated by the staff at Reception extremely well. My husband says “great coffee” by the way! I cannot thank Mark and his wonderful Team enough for the exceptional care provided during the first phase of what I considered extremely difficult and complicated dental concerns. The sheer thought of having to go to a dentist and face these issues was too insurmountable to even contemplate. I became a patient after breaking my front tooth in an accident, they got me in as soon as possable (with-in a couple of weeks following emergency treatment at the walk in centre). All of the staff are friendly and proffessional. Treatments so far have been exceptional. They built up my front tooth so that you wouldn't be able to tell it'd been broken and a filling I had recently was great, with just a little discomfort from the local anaesthetic. Lisa is an expert at making everything painless and the whole experience is stress free, she has such a soothing and calming manner. Adam is top notch and up to date, using the latest techniques and his attention to detail is exquisite, he did a white filling for me and its perfectly blended in. I'd 100% recommend this dental practice if you're an awkward and nervous patient like me. The level of treatment they provide, most would charge far more for! It's excellent quality for money and I won't go anywhere else. It works out cheaper long term because the care is of superior quality - therefore more cost effective! Best dentist I've ever been to.

I first came to Smilestyle as I wanted a second opinion. I was desperately needed some work done and I wanted the outcome to be a positive experience for me. For years I have been scared of the dentist, some of that is through bad experiences in the past and then over the years not feeling I can trust dentists. I also hated the noise of the drill. Well past experiences did emotionally scare me. I saw Mark the principal dentist for my initial appointment, this was a full assessment of my mouth , teeth and x rays. I sat there my heart was beating so loud, I am sure everyone could hear it. My hands clenched tight on the chair arms. The initial assessment took an hour and part of that involved chatting with Mark about my medical history , medication, fears etc. So he gets a better picture of me. Plus I told him why I was wanting a second opinion. Mark was great, reassuring me frequently and all the time talking to me and letting me know what was what. He took photos of my teeth and then showed me on the computer screen. That was great. In the past a dentist would say you need x,y and z done but its their word. Mark showed me the proof. A treatment plan is then formulated including the price at each stage of the treatment plan.. I appreciated that . My treatment plan lasted several months, from going for what I thought was one job after a full review by Mark I needed lots of other little jobs. After my initial assessment I felt very reassured. I think this is a lot to do with Mark's philosophy of treating patients as people with respect. I was in awe of the time he spent with me. The assessment was not rushed at all. Mark was there for me and listened thoroughly to my concerns and anxiety's. Having to have a local anaesthetic for a filling I was totally surprise to find it was a tiny micro needle attached to a fine tube. The anaesthetic was pumped in. I never felt it at all. Mark did rub some local anaesthetic gel on as well. But I was surprised because I was so used to having the massive NHS needles. Over time my nerves calmed down and that is because I began to trust Mark. All my frequent appointments I never felt rushed and also given plenty of reassurance. The major job fro me. was taking out my bridge which had a catastrophic failure. I was really nervous about it. Mark reassured me It would take minutes to remove and it did. Although I never believed him at the time. The work is completed now and I will be seen in a few months for follow up as I was a complex case. I have a few teething problems with my bridge but Mark as sorted it out. My visit to SMILESTYLE was a learning curve for me. I knew how nervous I was , shaking and anxious. I could see over time all my dental phobia's just simply melted away. I used to describe my fears to Mark as feeling like I am bungee jumping off a extremely high building. I have come a very long way and feel immensely happy with the result. I feel confident again and 'normal' The staff are all lovely , approachable and very chatty. Which serves as a good distraction therapy in itself. .Mark himself his always smiling and does his utmost best for the patients in his care . He has other dentists working in his practice and he trains them to his high standard of care. I can also vouch for that as I add to see one of his colleagues as a emergency when Mark was off. I felt nervous, apprehensive and scared. Another dentist I did not know!!.But she was great , calming and sorted my problem out. Marks right his staff all have the same attitude of patient first. I am very very happy with my treatment and recommend this surgery highly. Ooh I also love the surgery waiting room when I have been its always nice and quiet. There is also some rather lovely coffee available for the patients. One great tip I learned from the lead nurse is use my music as a distraction when having treatment. that worked great. Then I gradually did not bother with it as time wore on, I felt more at ease and relaxed. In summary I am really glad I chose Smilestyle for my second opinion. x

I was completely phobic about going to the dentist after several bad experiences over the years and a huge dislike of having needles put repeatedly into my gums! However, since seeing Mark I am now much more relaxed and no longer dread going to the dentists. The "Wand" he uses means no more horrible gum injections and he and all the staff ensure that I am in no discomfort at any time. Having tried the wand I realised that I did not require sedation (which is available) and I only have to raise my hand to get all dentistry to stop which in itself has given me great confidence as I no longer fear gagging and choking. In addition, he makes me laugh (something I thought would never happen in that situation.)
