Thank you to the dentist that helped me get over my fear of the dentist! After avoiding the dentist for a very long time due to anxiety, I plucked up the courage to register with this practice and try to overcome my fear. Myself and my husband have now had multiple appointments at the practice and we have been so impressed by the level of care. The whole experience has been faultless everytime. My teeth and gums have never been better and I no longer shake from fear in the reception room! The staff are just fantastic. Both The dentist and the dental nurse are really lovely, so friendly and make you feel calm and at ease. The dentist is gentle, patient and he explains everything. The receptionist is also really lovely too, very helpful and easy to talk to. My 2 year old daughter had her first dentist appointment with them and she had such a positive experience. My family and I feel very lucky to be patients at this practice, they are really the best!

My first review. I put two stars to give them a chance. After having my first appointment cancelled with less than 24hrs notice, I just come back from my rescheduled first appointment. There was no queue as the practice was simply closed. Me and another person were booked for 1:55 and 2:15pm on Saturday.... closed practice. That's quite a low step to me. Edit: My last two appointments went well without last minute cancellation. The dentist treatment in itself is fine, no problem on that side. It was on the cancecllation side I had a problem.

Original Post - 5 Star. See below for edited review. New dental group in charge of the Dale Road Dentist. The reception staff were very nice and friendly. The dentist was great, friendly, and she explained things in my check-up in a clear and informative way. I am pleased a new company is in charge. The last dentist was awful so it was a relief to see the return of a professionally run dentist. Just to add. During COVID a mask is required to enter the building until you are seen. Social distancing was in place in reception and hand sanitiser is available too. Edit - 3rd May 2022: I have been several times since my original post for hygienist appointments, check-ups. All these were great and 5*. However, fast forward to today (3rd May 2022) the excellent dentist I have seen (lady upstairs) has now left. I went for my appointment today and they had cancelled it without telling me, which was very frustrating. The same thing happened to my Mum (different household, different time) who also turned up for her appointment to find there were no dentists on site and no guaranteed dentist available until June (same thing said to me too). I hope this is a one off and not a sign of things to come. They had completely re-built the dental practice from the previously poorly run practice (different company) with an abysmal reputation to one the community can trust. I hope things return back to normal ASAP!

Highly recommend this Dentist, The first check up appointment with my daughter, we had a very welcoming visit. He had sorted out the orthodontist appointment really quickly for her. Within a few weeks we had an appointment with an orthodontist and I have one happy daughter. He is very patient and explains everything to do with your teeth very well and even recommends products to use to benefit you and your gums and teeth. I also want to mention that I have taken my son and my mum to check ups since and straight away he had put my mum at ease, she can get quite anxious visiting the dentist and my son is brushing his teeth better after listening to his advice. Amazing Dentist, lovely Dental nurse & receptionist. I had a tooth extraction today & was quite nervous beforehand but the Dentist & Dental nurse were so calming they helped me to relax & put my mind at ease; everything went brilliantly. I highly recommend this Dental surgery; best Dentist ever!! 😊

Dr Farhad is a nice dentist. I felt very comfortable. The receptionists are very friendly. I only had one minor issue, but that was put right. Overall, I'm happy and give them a 4 out of 5.

My experience with the Shirley Dale, South Cliff Dental Group couldn't be any better. Right from the start, when I became a patient with them, I've received nothing but amazing and caring service; from the reception team to the lovely dental nurse, and of course Dr. Fawad himself. I needed a serious treatment that required a majorly professional touch, and Dr. Fawad was incredibly professional, confident and beyond competent throughout the multiple procedures. I couldn't recommend him and the whole team enough.

My son and I had a check up with the dentist here and he couldn't have been any more welcoming! He made us both feel at ease and he took the time to explain things throughly and what our best options were. It was such a relief not to feel rushed in and out of the chair as I have been with previous dentists in the past. My son is in recovery from cancer and due to some of the side effects from the chemotherapy, it has had an impact on his teeth. The dentist explained in great detail regarding this and couldn't have been more helpful and supportive with when it came to his treatment...thank you!!

Fawad, Evie and Kathleen have recently treated the whole family. They are by far the best team I have seen at Dale Road and I have been going there for 10 years. They were very good with my 3 year old who had his first visit and were excellent when my 7 year old had to have a tooth removed. They made both feel very relaxed and comfortable. I have had ongoing issues which others have looked at but Fawad sorted them very quickly and without causing any pain. My other son had some bonding treatment done which he was very pleased with. They like to be preventative rather than react to issues and then charge for the treatments. I can't recommend highly enough.

Fantastic dental practice. I've been here many years and the team have always been friendly and the service excellent. Had a filling done by dentist Fawad with support from nurse Evie today and they were both so lovely, friendly, warm and approachable, but also professional and great at their job. I have no complaints and am happy to be a patient here.

I recently had a check up appointment along with my 2 year old. This was my first appointment with the new management/new dentist and I was very impressed. The dentist was wonderful with my son and when I had to return the following week for a hygienist appointment and filling; everything was explained thoroughly. I was a little anxious about the procedure but the dentist was very caring and helped me feel at ease. Overall I am very impressed with the dental surgery.

My new lady dentist, (also a hygienist) - sorry I forget her name - and her nurse filled a deep cavity for me today taking the best part of an hour to perform. A bit nervous in the run up to it, but my fears were unfounded as she put me at my ease and it was painless throughout even when putting in the anaesthetic. (Btw she can also fill teeth without the need for an anaesthetic altogether.) Both dentist and nurse worked well together. Given post procedure advice about what to expect and how to care for the filled tooth, for example, advising me to take paracetamol if I experienced pain when the anaesthetic wore off which I didn't need to. I would like to say that the service I received today was outstanding.

Hi, I have just seen the true angels of Fawad and Evie at the dale road dental practice. I have seen two emergency dentist and dental nurses along with 101 and they were not able to resolve my problem. However these two did. They got me out of pain too, which is huge as I have lost weight due to not being able to eat. These two did not only sort me out, but they did it extremely quickly and expertly. Seriously I cannot recommend them enough. Nor can I express how great full I am to them. If you want a caring and extremely knowledgeable dentist this is the place to go. Today I had my teeth cleaned by Fawad and Evie. I was extremely afraid and a bit of mess, these two made me feel so comfortable. They were both patient and understanding all the through. Checking if I needed breaks and that I was comfortable. Evie held my hand almost all of the way through whilst communicating when it was nearly over. I can honestly say I've had nothing but good experiences for myself and my family.
