I can't thank Crystal clear Dental enough. I had an emergency appointment with them today, I needed some work on a very old metal filling where the back of my tooth had come away. It was replaced with a white filling that looks a million times better and whole process was painless. The team were really empathetic to me being very nervous and Stephen explained everything before going ahead with it. Overall was a great experience.

I’ve been with Crystal Clear for a few years now, but felt compelled to write a review after having a poor quality crown replaced by Stephen this week. He does an incredible job and I’ve never had a better dentist. He’s left me feeling no anxiety around having dental work done, and given me so much confidence through the work I’ve had with the practice!

I had to pop into this dentist for an emergency appointment - fractured, infected tooth which needed to be removed. Stephen did a fantastic job at making me feel calm and comfortable during what you would assume to be quite a scary procedure.. The removal itself took no longer than 15 minutes! It was very simple.. Stephen numbed the area with a gel and a couple injections (not as painful or scary as you would think! Just a small scratch) He then followed on by tapping each tooth in the area to make sure that no pain could be felt. I can confirm that it was a pain-free procedure and also healing period (no painkillers were needed!) I would 100% return. The dentist itself is very good at prioritising your needs and schedules you in as soon as need be.

I am visiting from US and had a dental emergency. They made a same day appointment for me since I leave York the next day. Dr Mihaela Paun is amazing. She is extremely patient, explained everything before she did it, went over all options, and took her time to make sure I was comfortable. I highly recommend Crystal Clear Dental for all your dental needs.

Had an accident and smashed a few front teeth, had them all fixed at a really reasonable price, they also did a next day temporary repair that looked awesome untill I could get in for the full treatment,

I had to have a tooth removed, I was nervous but Stephen put me at ease. He explained that he was going to be as gentle as possible to try and avoid bruising and pain, he also packed it with dissolvable dressings so there was no need for rinsing with salt water etc afterwards. It was the most pain free experience I have had after an extraction, I didn't need any pain relief and it healed so well. It has taken me many years to stop being a nervous patient, but I now feel fairly relaxed when I walk through the door. This is due to the friendliness of Kelly on reception and the calmness and care of Stephen and all the team. I highly recommend this dentist.

I was in York for few days holiday and last Tuesday evening I was in absolute agony with toothache after had a filing done weeks ago in London . I rang the surgery 10.00 am Wednesday morning desperately hoping for an appointment. They fit me in at the same day ! The receptionist that made the appointment and the Dr were so kind and helpful . 10 days ago I was on holiday near York and had a toothache, bad enough to seek help. I managed to get an emergency appointment at your practice, within an hour of calling. I might have been lucky, but it was impressive nonetheless. I was met by friendly people from the receptionist to the assistant and the dentist, who all looked after me very well. There was time for an assessment, a diagnosis and the discussion of the treatment options. It was all thorough and clear. The treatment was done professionally and the advice given was clear. A lovely environment and excellent service all round, the staff are super friendly, welcoming and polite. I had my first laser tattoo removal appointment with Michelle last week, she was so lovely and made me feel really comfortable straight away. The laser was bearable and not as bad as i expected, it felt like hot fat spitting out of a frying pan. The session was over very quickly and I felt no pain afterwards. I booked an emergency appointment as I broke a tooth. I have an issue with my jaw meaning I can't open as wide as a normal person and in the past dentists have made me feel bad for a problem I can't help. Tom has been the complete opposite. He explains everything clearly and has given solutions to the problem and made the repair much easier and less painful than I expected! These guys are amazing! A little background: I’d always had a little niggle about my teeth not being straight and they seemed to be getting worse over time and I was finding myself only liking photographs of myself if I kept my lips closed hiding them away. So when my partner and I decided to book our wedding I immediately worried about being photographed so much! I got in contact with the practice about clear aligners and Kelly got me booked in for a consultation. Everyone there is so friendly and the whole atmosphere is calm and relaxing so no worries there! Stephen has been awesome and given me the smile I just won’t stop showing off! I felt totally confident in his hands. He explains absolutely everything before, during and after he’s done anything. Giving his professional opinion but completely open to the view of you as the patient. Even throughout the nightmare of Covid-19 lockdown he was there at the end of email/call if I had any questions or issues I needed help with. Highly highly recommend, if your thinking of it, just give them a call, you will not regret it!

First time I've needed dental work since I was a child and I was expectedly nervous once the appointment came around. Despite needing 3 or 4 injections and an hour in the chair, the whole experience was made as comfortable as it could have been by Stephen's calm, kind and reassuring manner. He explained every little detail of what he was doing and what I should expect along the way to make sure the various noises and sensations and tastes weren't at all alarming. Having heard of other people having had some negative experiences at other dentists, I'm glad I trusted the excellent reviews that I'd read about this practice before choosing to have the work done here. Stephen’s care at Crystal Clear Dental was exemplary and by far the most comfortable dental appointment I have had, despite needing a daunting wisdom tooth extraction. At the check-up, Stephen took care to explain various treatment plan options so that I could make informed choices. At the surgical appointment, he remains the only dentist I have visited who fully waited for anaesthetic to take effect. Stephen also stood out for explaining each step of the procedure to me, ensuring that I understood what was going on at every point, so no noise or movement was a surprise. He also replaced a filling and came up with a solution to a broken orthodontic wire which I had been putting off fixing for a decade - the only other solution which had been offered to me in the past was to make an appointment with an orthodontist, and the problem never seemed urgent enough for a separate consultation. It is a huge relief to have sorted it out. All three parts of the work are wonderfully precise and neat (e.g. the new filling is much neater than the original filling). Everyone at the practice is extremely friendly and professional. Highly recommended!

Confirm time and dates send a reminder so you don't forget ( easy at my age ).As for the dentist Ben I cannot praise and thank him enough he and is assistant had nothing to work with after I lost my teeth they from a poor photo built shaped and produced a fantastic new set that I'm over the moon with. Stephen is an incredibly kind and caring dentist. I am a nervous person and he took great care in explaining things before doing anything in my mouth. He deserves 5*, but my issue here comes from the reception/ customer service team. They simply did not call me in advance to let me know that the nature of my dental appointment had changed from a wisdom tooth extraction to a check-up. This led to me taking several days off work when I didn't need to, as well as spending two days agonising over the potential extraction, which did not happen. When I emailed to complain about this and ask why I wasn't told in advance, I was simply told that they didn't feel it was necessary as I needed to come in anyway to have a chat with the dentist. So I decided not to continue having treatments here and spend my money somewhere else. I felt that they were indifferent to my situation, didn't care that I had unnecessarily taken time off work and didn't take my complaint as a serious matter.

Very caring and understanding staff. Probably the most stress-free and comfortable dental experience I have ever had.
