I’ve been with this practice for years now and watched them grow. Always a friendly professional welcome and always personally remembered when we visit. It doesn’t quite have the intimate feel of years ago when there was time for more of a catch up with staff, but as I know only too well from work pressures myself, the more successful a place is the more work there is, the less time there is for the social contact sadly. Great place though, and nobody scared to go to the dentist in our house!

I have been with Woodthorpe dental practice for many years and always been happy with my dentist. I had treatment with Marco today which was a very long 2 hours. I had great difficulty to go through the process as I get very very anxious when I am not in control of the situation. I almost left the room but Marco was amazingly patient, talking through the process and allow me to stop the treatment when I needed to giving me the control of the situation. He gave me confidence to continue with the treatment and because of his understanding and patient I was able to complete the treatment. The treatment was thorough and looks excellent, the digital equipments are amazing. I would like to thank both Marco and his assistant for looking after me so well.

Kris is extremely talented in all aspects of Dentistry, including Cosmetic and Implants. He is the finest Dentist I have ever been seen by. Him and his Team provide the best care and the Hygienist service I receive is brilliant and painless. All staff are professional and friendly and the whole Team make you feel relaxed. My teeth get the highest quality dental care and my mouth is kept healthy, giving me more confidence. I've had a lot of work carried out by Thorpe Dental Group - white filllings, Crowns - which are made on site, a root canal and an Implant, carried out by Dr. Kris Leeson, to get my teeth sorted out once and for all. I know that I am in safe hands coming here.

I recently needed a crown after breaking a tooth and was so delighted with my treatment that I thought I must recommend my dentist, Dr Marco Gaias. My upper right tooth had previously needed a large filling and, when this broke away, I assumed the remaining part of my tooth would need to be extracted. Instead, I was informed that it could be saved by having a crown fitted. My previous experience of having a crown fitted was having a temporary fitted, having to then wait a week or two and then having the finished crown fitted. To my delight, my crown was prepared in an adjacent room, using a state of the art CNC CAD/CAM dental mill and took only 10 minutes to prepare once initial preparation, scans, etc. had taken place. From start to finish, the whole procedure of fitting my crown took just 2 hours with no further appointment required! Marco is a true professional. I didn't feel any discomfort during or after this procedure and I can thoroughly recommend Marco to anyone in a similar position.

I have a serious phobia about going to the dentist. I went for teeth extractions (2 in number) today. The dentist, Hussein Hassanali was very experienced and calmed my fears. He was polite, professional and easy to talk to. He explained the process from start to finish and my teeth extractions were done quickly and painlessly. He was patient and and I was satisfied with his answers to my questions. He even discounted the price of my treatment. The additional support from Melissa, the dental nurse was exceptional and reassuring. Jane the receptionist has excellent first rate customer service skills on the telephone and in person. She made feel very welcome. Covid-19 guidelines also strictly adhered to. I no longer have a phobia about dentist visits. I highly recommend this dental practice to anybody that needs a dentist or hygienist. Go to this dental practice with 100% confidence.

I'm very anxious about going to the dentist, especially as I had some awful experiences when I was younger. The clinical staff are very reassuring and understanding about this. Everything is explained and questions answered plainly, staff are very friendly and polite. They're happy to take a pause and make sure you're happy with the pace, instead of just ploughing ahead as in my past experience.

Excellent service from the initial contact with the super helpful receptionists through to the speedy treatment with Kris and his nurses. They all made a massive effort to fit me in for some emergency treatment while I was visiting York from London. The same day replacement crown service is excellent and highly recommended rather than waiting the usual two weeks. Highly recommended as a friendly and stress free dentist!

I have had two back teeth extracted by Dr Kris Leeson as he tutored a student. I had superb service, as always, from Kris with that added bonus of being a 'guinea-pig' in a good cause. I managed to add food to the cavity despite caring for my mouth as I had been told. The result was inflammation which caused tooth ache, head, ear and jaw ache leading me to seek help. I have just been dealt with by Robert Lewis, a dentist at the practice. He explained what he was to do, did it carefully and skilfully. I thanked him profusely and left already feeling much more cheerful. One hour later no pain but a huge gain for my comfort.
