Rachel has been incredible for not only acupuncture and Reiki but a listening ear. I look forward to every session as I know that I will come away feeling lighter and sleep better. I would recommend Rachel a million times over to anyone going through fertility struggles and their partners also.

From the moment I met Rachel for initial consultation she put me at complete ease. I was slightly sceptical about whether acupuncture would actually help me - suffering from severe stage 4 endometriosis, chronic pain & issues with fertility & miscarriage, I approached it all thinking it probably wouldn’t help but wanted to be willing to try anything advised that might help. This really was one of the last things I hadn’t tried on a very long list of possible treatments to alleviate symptoms & get my body back in balance. Following a gynea Op & recovery period, Rachel worked with me for 8 weeks to help rebalance hormones & get my cycle back into a normal rhythm (having been on synthetic hormones), the main priority was to help manage pain & try to stabilise things before embarking on our ivf journey. After 4 weeks of trusting the process & Rachel doing what she does best, we had a huge surprise - we fell pregnant naturally! This was a huge surprise to my surgeon & the NHS staff who had been supporting me. Odds of natural conception were incredibly low for us due to internal damage - but I have no doubt that Rachel’s incredibly careful hand, knowledge & insight helped this little life come into being. With Rachel’s help, my cycle returned in no time & my body (having been through so much!) was busy preparing itself. Rachel continued with me through the very early stages of pregnancy & catered the acupuncture to each unique stage - we’re now creeping into our third trimester. I found Rachel’s treatment to be incredibly thorough, incredibly professional & personable, I never felt rushed & the time she offered before each session to discuss any concerns was honesty like therapy. Worth every penny! Rachel - you have such a gift & I hope others come to you more readily than I did!! I went to Rachel after finding her online, and being recommended by my doctor for fertility acupuncture. I had treatment for 6 months with Rachel before falling pregnant, and I can honestly say I don’t think it would of happened without acupuncture. Not only was the treatment amazing, Rachel was so lovely. She really listens to you and offers great advice and support. It’s like acupuncture and counselling all rolled into one! My little one is now 4 months and I know he wouldn’t be here without Rachel! I cannot recommend her enough.

I found Southbourne Acupuncture Clinic after doing a google search for fertility acupuncture in my local area. At the grand old age of 43 I decided to try for my first baby and after being written off by many medical professionals with my chances being slim to nothing, I decided to forge on anyway and try acupuncture as part of preparing my body. After my first consultation with Rachel I felt hope; not that she promised me any miracles but I felt I was under the care of someone who really believed in my dream, someone who listened to me and understood. Every session was tailored to my cycle or what was happening in my life. Seven months after my first session with Rachel and one major gynaecological operation later, I fell pregnant naturally having just turned 44 and on my second month of trying to conceive. The acupuncture sessions were such a pivotal part of my journey, I think they helped in my recovery after my operation and I truly think helped make my body baby ready. Rachel is without doubt an amazing acupuncturist, incredibly professional and full of knowledge. Not only that but she is the best listener, empathetic and someone I would class as a friend. I couldn’t recommend her more!

WOW! Just wow! I went to Rachel to receive treatment for my awful period pains. I have struggled with awful stomach cramps, bad back, high temperature, fatigue and loose motions for so many years now and after just 4 appointments with Rachel my period is already so much better. I just finished my last period and it was pain free! I couldn’t recommend Rachel enough for anyone that struggles with period pains. Rachel was a godsend for me. My partner and I had been trying to conceive for two years, we were on the brink of IVF and I had been told by my consultant that Accupuncture was great to try prior to treatment. I can’t recommend Rachel at Southbourne Accupuncture Clinic highly enough. I saw her after my miscarriage through to the birth of my rainbow baby. I usually suffer with bad carpel tunnel syndrome in pregnancy, however thanks to Rachel’s skilled needlework I didn’t even get it mildly. I got in touch with Rachel, after almost a year of trying to conceive with no success, and various dr and hospital appointments. My job as a secondary teacher was also causing me a fair amount of stress - but as soon as I started my sessions with Rachel, I felt so much more at ease and I was much more positive and optimistic about conceiving. It was like having therapy! Just being able to talk to someone honestly about how I was feeling. I always looked forward to my sessions and found the combination of acupuncture and reiki very relaxing. Amazingly, after only 2 or 3 sessions, I discovered I was pregnant, the news I so desperately wanted. Although noone can ever know for sure, I'm convinced that both the acupuncture and just the opportunity to be listened to, helped enormously in reducing my stress, balancing my hormones and ultimately falling pregnant. Without wanting to seem overdramatic, there have been times when my visits to Rachel have kept me going. I have received treatment from her over a period of 10 years. The back pain I have suffered as the result of scoliosis always improves exponentially after a visit to Rachel. She treated me for anxiety when my 3 year old son was having treatment for cancer and through parts of the 2020 lockdown. These appointments undoubtedly calmed me and focused me. Most recently she has been rebalancing my hormones during my problematic menopause. I would highly recommend Rachel to anyone if conventional medicine does not or cannot solve your health issue, physical, mental or hormonal. Apart from Rachel's excellence as a therapist, I would also like to add that her gentleness, kindness and humour also make her an outstanding human being, in my opinion.
